Ipod 4 repeating specific contacts name back before all others

My iPod 4 has come to often repeating a specific contacts name back before the instructed task no matter if music or call when using voice control. How do I stop it from doing this as I have already tried removing their name from them yet it makes no difference (they were one of the first to be instructed using voice control)?

I think you can only get app data back if you reinstall the app and then restore the iPod from backup. The app should contain the dat up to the time the backup was made.

Changing your contacts names back to default.

At the moment there is no possibility to give a person their default name back after you changed it.For example, I have SuperUb0rPet0r in my contacts and just rename him to Peter but now I won't know if he changed his name to something else.

I found a way to change it back to default. Right click on the name in the contacts list, click Rename..., delete the name in there, hit enter, delete the name again in the window that pops up, hit ok.

Ensure 1 Active Sync process runs against the change log before all others?

We have a lot of LDAP active sync thread. We have a primary on that correlates to an individuals account. Then we have several that represent affiliations at our organization. The affiliations are represented in LDAP as subordinates of the main persons entry. These sets of data were set up as different resource adapters because the they are different object types in LDAP.
Now we are running into a problem where the active sync threads for subordinates are running before the thread for the main entry. What this means, is that an affiliation thread might run, see a new person was added and ignore it (since that isn't it's resource) but find the affiliation subordinate entry and want to process it. However, the thread can't find an associated account in IDM yet, so no processing takes place on that change, ever..
If the main account active sync thread had already run, it would see the main entry, and then make a correisponding IDM entry. If the IDM entry has been made, and the affiliation resource active sync adapter runs, it will then find the IDM entry and update that.
So.. We are experience problems when the affiliation processes a new account before the main account sync process.
Can we ensure somehow that the main account active sync process always runs first? These are all LDAP resources. If we could ensure the main account resource / sync happens before any other affiliation resource, then we would never ignore data, and would not have anyproblems.
Does anyone know of a good clean way to do this?

I had a similar issue, and solved it by using post process workflows and starting and stopping resource adapters manually. This will allow you to start the first resource, and any others you want can be started/stopped manually via the workflow. You can effectively "chain" resource adapters to run in any order you'd like.
On the first resource that you want to run before anything else, this will run as a post-process workflow:

Grant to a specific user and deny for all other users

I have 100 users. Out of 100 users, i have windows & sql authentication users. I have a view "SQL_CONFIG_V" and want to give access to "corp\abc" (windows authentication user) and "poc" (sql authentication user) and all
system user id's(by default) like sys, information_schema etc. I want to deny all other users to see view defintion or alter this view "SQL_CONFIG_V" except the users that i specified here.

You can deny access to those users to the database, or they are have the access but you do not want them to SELECT that specific view? Do the users members of db_owner role?

Stolen ipod on thursday. i have serial number and all other info

My ipod was 'stolen' this thursday at school. Today is tuesday. Is it not possible to track my ipod's current ip address with the serial number and such? And I did reported the missing ipod to my school. What else can I do? I can report it to the police. But how do I do that? And its rather late so I don't know if anyone will listen now. I'm already a couple of days late in reporting so the chances of me not ever finding my ipod is bigger. I also plan on contacting the Apple media helpline (408)-974-2042 and ipod technical support (800)-275-2273 tomorrow morning. Also, is the same serial number in my receipt engraved into my ipod?

I will then have them call ipod technical support (800)-275-2273 because apparently if I give them my ipod's serial number AND someone happened to plug it into a computer, they can find it. Wait time in while loop: wait before all other code in the loop runs

In the 'Check for Equilib' case, there is a while loop that takes data from a pressure gauge and compares it against data taken equilibTime seconds previous. equilibTime is hooked up to a wait(ms) function inside the while loop. Currently it appears that the code in the loop runs, and then the loop waits so many seconds before the next iteration. I would like to reverse this process, i.e. in each iteration, the loop will wait so many seconds and then run the rest of the code in the loop. I want to do this because I don't want there to be any delay between then time the 'check for equilib' code finishes and the start of the 'add shot' case.
Can anybody suggest an elegant way of implementing this?

No. Use Flat sequences they are far preferable to stacked sequences. Functionally they are the same. But a flat sequence is easier to read, doesn't hide code, and you don't have to worry about backwards wiring caused by sequence locals in stacked sequence.
Note, you have two oddities in your lower while loop.
1. Write a value to an indicator's terminal node and to a local variable of the same indicator is pointless. They do the same thing.
2. Reading from a local variable of an indicator and writing to its terminal node is just as pointless, as you aren't doing anything.
In your middle loop "Add shot" case, you have the local variable of DC estimate righting to a right hand side shift register, but you never use the left hand shift register. So you are saving that value for future loop iterations, but never use it.

I'm am on a wireless network and I can access the itunes store from my ipod, my notebbok, but not my desk top. all other function on itunes on the desk top works fine. can you help? I have re-downloaded itunes on the desk top.

Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.

Missing contact names

deleted an exchange email account and now my address book contact names are missing

i got an iphone 4s and i live in UAE, recently when i add a contact to my contact list by saving the number from the messages after a while i find that the contact name that i saved is not in the list and then when adding it again after a while it disappears, some time it happen after i sync the phone and some time before, I'm getting crazy why this thing is happening? the phone was ok before and now I'm worried coz any new number i add i lose it, does any body have an idea about this issue? and how to fix it?

IPod is recognised via USB, but all other devices are no longer recognised.

After a year of good work, at one moment the USB ports on the front of the computer doesn't recognise any device, except the Ipod Touch 4G wich is working fine. All other devices are not capable of communicating with the PC using USB-ports (camera's, SD-cardreaders, TomTom, etc.). It might have something todo with the IOS 4.2.1 upgrade (Apple), but I'am not sure. Any solutions/suggestions please?

As always seems to happen, the next thing you try ends up working. Well almost. I
Deleted the contact and sent a message from that phone to mine -- problem persisted
Deleted the person from my FAVORITES in the phone app (the entry still existed even though the contact had been deleted). This worked!!!
It's kind of weird that the favorites in the phone app were somehow affecting notifications in Messages for a contact that had been deleted, but there you are.

I just returned from an international trip yesterday. I noticed that all my i cloud contacts were erased when I arrived in England. I am very certain that they were all working fine on my phone before I left for the trip. When I go into my messages, only the phone numbers of my contacts exist, not the names of the people. I'm guessing this problem was caused by travelling overseas. How do I get my contacts back. Someone please help!

This happened to me too, and my pictures dissapeared. If you click the number, a drop down menu will appear and you can choose add to exisitig or create new contact. 50% of the time I am able to see the contact in my list the other %50 I have to create a new contact. When you do either of these the name will show versus the number. I think this is a bug with the latest update.

The update process DOES back up contacts and photos, unless you interrupted the backup. The manual tells you to sync contacts to an app on your computer, and to import photos regularly to your computer. So Apple DID tell you to back up, you just didn't bother to read it.
If you didn't sync yet (and even if you did) connect the phone to your computer, right click on its name, and choose "Restore from Backup". If there's more than one backup choose the one with a timestamp before you updated.

I had microsoft exchange added and when I synced I lost all of my prior contacts. Also, thenames all turned to numbers. Example when you get a text from a contact, their name appeared. Now just a phone number. What did I do wrong and can I get it back?

That number is for an apple server in the UK that is used for iMessage activation. A hidden SMS is snet to that number when you turn iMessage on and is used to verify your phone number. I suggest you turn iMessage off. In settings/phone turn on dial assist. Check with your carrier to see if you can send an international SMS as you end that possibility to activate iMessage. Rest your phone (Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost).) then turn iMessage back on.
