Is Defined Problems

Ya know I keep reading and rereading this section of my CF
Bible and I am
just not getting it...
I am trying to use IS Defined to see if there is a
Session.MM_Username out
there and if not, redirect to a URL using cflocation.
I have on the very top of the page:
<cfif NOT IsDefined (Session.MM_Username)>
<cflocation URL="../index.cfm">
</cfif>
And it keeps telling me that the 'Element MM_USERNAME is
undefined in
SESSION.'
I could have sworn that I am asking if it exists and if not
then go the url
defined in <cflocation>
Could someone please explain this to me and let me know what
I am doing
wrong and why it doesn't work.

isDefined expects a string. Put double-quotes around your
variable name:
<cfif NOT IsDefined ("Session.MM_Username")>

  • This Server has no web connection defined- Problem by publishing a web repo

    Hello.
My problem is that when I create a query in the Bex and want to publish it on the web I get the error message:
This Server has no web connection defined.
When I enter the Url of a template directly in my browser it works.
Where do I have to define the web connection in the system - because I search now nearly 6 hours to get it to work.
    Rgards
    Tim

You'll need to add the icm/server_port_0 instance parameter using RZ10 as it probably does not have the port and protocol defined.  SAP needs to be restarted to pick up the change.  You would then need to start transaction SICF and select the services under BW, right-click and then select Activate.  There are OSS notes on this as well, maybe search for SICF.  Transaction SMICM can be used to verify that the services are running.

  • "GLIBC_2.3.3 not defined" problem when10g express installation in Red Hat9

I downloaded "oracle-xe-univ-10.2.0.1-1.0.i386.rpm" from Oracle website, and then
updated the Red Hat 9 with " libaio-0.3.96-3.src.rpm" patch. Now, the RH9 linux looks as below:

    $ rpm -q libaio

I just checked the forum, and found many people have asked the same problem. Have we got one solution to the problem?

My question is whether Oracle Express 10.2 can NOT be
installed on RH9 or not? Does any expert give us one
clear answer? If not, we shall not try it on RH9, and
we can install it on Fedora Core4 or SESE SLES-9Oracle CAN be installed on RH9.
However, if you try to mount a modern engine in an ancient Model-T ford car, you must be prepared to make some adjustments.
Same here ... RH9 was released several years before Oracle Database 10.2 and many, many things have been changed in Linux. Oracle assumes that the Linux you are using has a specific set of libraries (glibc being the most important) available at a specific version - they were not available with the same API in RH9 days so you would need to make those libraries available yourself without interfering with other operations of RH9.
The same holds true for other combinations of Linux distro and Oracle database distro. However, some very sharp people have installed using some of those combinations and have published those installation cookbooks - Werner Puschitz at http://www.puschitz.com and Ivan Kartik at http://ivan.kartik.sk/ are the most notable.
I'd highly recommend you consider getting a newer version, and possibly staying very close to a version that Oracle used, to keep the opportunities for troubleshooting to a minimum.

    Dear friends
    VERSION 0 NOT DEFINED ERROR
I am working on CC 4000. When I save sales order, system give 0 version not defined problem.
    I did:
SPRP-IMG-Controlling-Organization-Maintain version-select 0 Version and click on Setting for Fiscal year then entered the Controlling Area.
Message display – Controlling Area 300 does not exist. But I checked in IMG in FI it is there.
    Then I did:
    SPRP-IMG-Controlling-Organization-Maintain Controlling Area.
Copy 2200 Controlling Area to 3000. Then repeated the same steps.
SPRP-IMG-Controlling-Organization-Maintain version-select 0 Version and click on Setting for Fiscal year then entered the Controlling Area.
Marked the check box in 20007-Integrated Planning and Copy Allowed box then save.
After when I save sales order system still display the same error “version 0 is not defined”
But when I changed the system date to October 2002 there is no version 0 error.
Can any one give me solution where I am doing mistake or what the exact problem is
    Thanks
    Raj

    Hi,
    Go to SPRO-IMG-Controlling-General Controlling-Organisation-Maintain Versions
    Select  0
Go To Setting for each Fiscal year on the left side ,
Put your Controlling Area and Version 0 and click Tick
Then select year 2007 and tick copying allowed and save.

  • DPM 2012 R2 Repoting Protection Status as OK but no replica exists for the volume

2012R2 server running 2012R2 DPM. I am using LeftHand SAN as my DPM disks for storing backups. Our production SAN is an EMC VNX5300. I have created a mount point of a LUN and attached it to the DPM server. I have attached a snapshot to the mount point. When
I brought the volume online in Disk Management, it assigned it a drive letter. I removed the drive letter and connected it to a mount point in an empty folder in C:\ActiveVolumes. I am able to browse the folder and look at data in the folder without issue
(except having to elevate for some of the folders when browsing through GUI). In DPM, I created a new protection group. I added the mount point path (C:\ActiveVolumes\MyMountPoint) as a member of the PG. I walked through the wizard and configured my short
term and long term protection options as I have done for other jobs. I had it create the group. At the end of the process, it reported success. Based on having done this with other mount points in similar ways, I was expecting the volume to spend some hours
creating its replica as it is multiple hundreds of gig in size. After less than 15 minutes, it was sitting there with a Green OK display for Protection Status. That seemed entirely to quick so I started to investigate. When I tried to create do anything, it
failed. I looked in Monitoring/Failed jobs for yesterday and today. There was a failed job for the PG that said as follows:
    Type: Replica creation
    Status: Failed
Description: The Operation failed since DPM was unable to access the file/folder
\\?\Volume{GUID}\Company\Logs\Cleanup\filename.txt on dpm01.domain.pri. This could be due to the file/folder being corrupt or the file system on the volume being corrupt. (ID 2036 Details:
The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable (0x80070570))
There is a second error stating that No recovery point was created, either because synchronization has not occurred since the last recovery point was created, or because no changes were found during synchronization. (ID 208)
When I check the file in question on the original source, it is fine. When I connect to the mount point on the dpm server, browsing to the location, I find that the file says it is indeed corrupt. I will open a call with EMC as well, but it is a little concerning
that a single file can prevent a whole replica from being created. I also tried deleting the corrupt file and tried to synchronize again and it failed on another file in the same folder.
Some additional stuff I noticed as different:
In PG setup wizard, when expanding the DPM server under available members, after a few minutes, I get the following error:
"DPM is unable to enumerate contents in <longalphanumericstring> on the protected computer dpm01.domain.pri. Recycle Bin, System Volume Information folder, non-NTFS volumes, DFS links, CDs Quorum Disk (for cluster) and other removable media cannot
    be protected. (ID:38)"
    Followed by the following:
"The database of this DPM server is located on a remote instance of SQL server.
To protect the database of this DPM server, you must install a protection agent on the computer running the remote instance of SQL server. After the protection agent is installed, open this wizard, navigate tot eh remote instance of SQL server, and select
    the DPM database for protection.
    Production server name: dpm01.domain.pri
    DPM SQL DB name: MSSQLSERVER
    DPM Protection agent: Not Installed"
The above is inaccurate because I am running the SQL on the same machine as my DPM server in the default SQL instance name. I have gotten both of the above errors before when trying to backup other mount points but I was able to back up those mount points
    without issue.
I also noticed a difference since I created my first mount point backup. I created two folders on the root of the C: drive. ActiveVolumes and StaticVolumes. I had attached mount points under StaticVolumes previously (c:\staticvolumes\imagefolder1, etc.)
and was able to back those up without issue. When I was configuring that one, it allowed me to select to backup StaticVolumes and then it gave me a warning about mount points and did I want to back those up to. To which I replied yes, back them up. When I
was configuring this one, backing up ActiveVolumes was not an option, only the mount point below it. And it never gave me the warning about mount points. I don't know if this has anything to do with this problem.
Any assistance you can provide on figuring out why this isn't working would be much appreciated. I tried deleting the PG and starting over and got the same results. I am at a loss for how to back this up right now.

  • Dump while saving the project

    Hi all,
System is giving dump while saving the changes in the project.
    Short text
The current application triggered a termination with a short dump.
    What happened?
The current application program detected a situation which really
should not occur. Therefore, a termination with a short dump was
triggered on purpose by the key word MESSAGE (type X).
    What can you do?
Note down which actions and inputs caused the error.
To process the problem further, contact you SAP system
         administrator.
Using Transaction ST22 for ABAP Dump Analysis, you can look
at and manage termination messages, and you can also
keep them for a long time.
    Error analysis
         Short text of error message:

         Long text of error message:
          Diagnosis
The system discovered a serious inconsistency in the data basis of
Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) This message should never occur in
              the course of normal operations.
The system tried to find characteristics from the segment table
CE4XXXX using the segment number 0026636665 in operating concern
This profitability segment number does not exist.
This can occur if you have deleted data from table CE4XXXX and have
already assigned data to profitability segments in this operating
              concern.
Another cause may be that you have changed the assignment of your
controlling area to an operating concern. When this happens, the
system tries to interpret the segment numbers in the new operating
              concern.
          System Response
              Do not continue processing.
          Procedure
The data in the segment table needs to be reconstructed. It may be
possible to re-enter the assignments to profitability segments.
Look in OSS for notes regarding error message KE499. You may find
information there that could help you solve the error.

    Hello,
I have problem with configuring Service Desk in Solman 4.0.
    I have applied instructions from:
    /people/federico.babelis2/blog/2006/04/14/service-desk-configuration-guide-for-dummies
and also done several things described on SDN in other topics connected with solman service desk:
    — Defined Service Desk Destination in the Solution Manager
    — IBase components are installed
    — Business partners are created
    — RFC connections are defined
    PROBLEM:
When I want to create message form satellite system (it's SRM) I have following error message:
"Error in local message system; message 008000000140 incomplete"
    Please help me
    Kind Regards,
    Jarek

    Hi there Jarek,
I am having now exactly the same problem; i didnt know i could find the messages in solman with DNOTIF transaction.
I could before create support messages from my satellite system, by using RFC BACK connection as log on screen, so the user was able to log on and the messages was succesfully created. Now I am trying to use this RFC connection as not log on screen, with an automatically generated user (with the RFC wizard from SMSY transaction in solman), and im getting same error as you.
I dont know if these are related, but if my explanation can help ypu, or someboday else who knows can help us please
    Thanks a lot in advance
    regards

What "higher authorities"? What "security purpose"?
In this process they changed my code as a procedure. Finally they give that java code.they tell to me please fix in apex.
Do these "higher authorities" know anything about APEX? What does the Java code actually do? Have you asked them how their approach is to be integrated into APEX?
There is no reason why a properly written Java stored program cannot be used in APEX, provided that whatever it is doing makes sense in an APEX/web context, and isn't some nonsense like using DBMS_OUTPUT to generate a CSV.
I tried so many ways. But it is not fixed.Different Different errors will occurs.
Tried what? Demonstrate what you have tried, preferably using examples on apex.oracle.com.
    How to solve this.
How to solve what? No clearly defined problem or requirement has been identified.
Describe the the problem/requirement (not your attempted solutions) in detail.

  • Report Generation: linebreak text in Word table row

    Hello everybody.
Im trying to add some pretty tables to my Word report created with the Report Generation Toolkit.
I build my 2d string array with the table data and that works fine. But if I add a text to the array cell that has a linebreak constant it breaks the table. I.e my strings is not in the right place and some are missing in the table if linebreaks exists in the strings in the 2d string array that I feed to the 'Word Easy Table' VI. Se my lw 7.1 example below.
Any one have an ide how to solve this?

    Paul,
You last response got me think about the complex nested grouping of my for loops that are surrounding and embedded in my table(s). I analyzed my groupings and found that two of my levels had similiar values. When I moved those groupings outside my table, the 3 TOC entries FINALLY appeared !!! Newbie error!!! Anyway, the only problem left to resolve is the page number is not generating with the TOC entries (Getting Bookmark Not Defined Problem). I am wondering if this is a context problem ...or still part of a looping problem. I also can't seem to get the table headers to replicate on page breaks in RTF mode. They do work in PDF generation mode. It is sort of difficult to pass info because I nature of the info I am working with. Thanks for your time and patience. I have learned alot just trying to get this complex template to work.
    Thanks,
    Tom

  • Can't set up share point for external drive on Xserve

I have an iomega 2TB drive connected to an Xserve. I can not seem to access the ext. drive from a client machine. I've been able to do this in the past, now it doesn't show up as one of the mountable drives when I connect to server.
I CAN see it if I remote in to the sever. On the server desktop, the ext. drive is mounted. I can access it there, see folders inside and everything. However, if I look in the Server app, from a client machine, the ext. drive shows up in the list of volumes, but the disk space bar is all gray (no green, yellow or red) as if it's not readable. I know this is kinda hard to describe, but the bottom line is that I can't access my ext. drive that is attached to the Xserve.

Alex has hit all the right notes in his response and the one that I'd agree with would be the planning.  It's not uncommon to hear stories of firms putting SharePoint in, before they get around to thinking what to do with it.  It is a collaborative
product that can provide answers to defined problems.
On the SharePoint workspace issue, my personal thought would be give it a miss.  It doesn't have a 2013 version and it'll be pointless giving this to your user base, only to have to remove it depending on what your settled SP plans might be.

  • Oracle Performance tunning genral question

    Hi,
Below is the list of Areas of Oracle db for which tunning activities are done. You are invited to comment to it weather this is complete list or need some addition or deletion. As I'm learning PT for Oracle now a days, therefore I want to expand my knowledge by sharing what I'm learning and what I need to learn.
So comment with Open hearts on it. Espically from experts and Gurus.
    Here is the List
1-Planning for Performance, include Storage consideration( Weather it is SAN, NAS, DAS), Network planning and host OS planning with proper configuration for running Oracle.
2-Database desining (Not under-Normalized and not Over-Normalized with proper usage of Indexes, views and Stored Procedures)
3- Instance tunning (Memory structure + B.g Processes)
    4- Session tunning.
    5- Segment Space tunning.
    6- SQL tunning.
This is what uptill what I've learned. If it needs addition kindly tell me what are these. Please also provide me links(good and precise one) for PT tutorials on web. Also note that I'm discussing this w.r.t Single instance non-rac db.
    Looking for Good sugessions

  • Concatenate text to a number

I have cells that are formatted as numbers to 2 decimal places which hold the result of a simple formula (e.g. =C4/D4) that divides a distance by a duration (to calculate km/h). An example value in the result cell is 28.02.
If I change the formula (e.g. =C4/D4 & " km/h") to concatenate some text to the result of the formula then Numbers ignores the decimal place setting for the cell and displays the maximum number of decimal places. For example, I was expecting to see "28.02 km/h" but instead Numbers displays "28.0155642023346 km/h".
Following the same process in Excel works as I'd expect and the result of the formula is displayed as "28.02 km/h".
Any ideas? Is this is a bug in Numbers?

    It's really simple.
When you concatenate a number to a piece of text, the number format no longer apply.
Use a formula really asking for what you want, like
    =ROUND(C4/D4,2)&" km/h"
and you will get what you want !
What you got is an example of the perfect result to a wrongly defined problem.

    Hi,
The Solution Database is a repository of information which is stored as problems and solutions, and is indexed for immediate retrieval. For the applications that use the Solution Database as a knowledge base, see Integration below.
Knowledge administrators use the Solution Database to define problems and solutions using, for example, free-text descriptions in several languages and customized attributes. They can structure multiple relationships between problems and solutions, and navigate easily between them.
The Solution Database offers a basic interface for knowledge administrators (but also agents, field engineers, and other users) to search for problems and solutions.

  • Setup of FAQs and solution search in ICSS webshop

    Dear SAP SDN team
We are currently using SAP CRM 7.0 EHp1.
As per SAP standard best practise, we have configured the ICSS scenarios and setup the FAQs , solution search and live web collaboration.
We are able to login the ICSS B2B and B2C webshops but when we choose FAQs and solution search we do not see any results .. The categories I created for FAQs are not available in the icss and the solution search does not get any results. All XCM settings seem to be fine .
The CRM solution is correctly connected to the TREX system , but not sure where things are going wrong
    Could you please help .?
    Regards
    Dinesh

    Hi Dinesh,
The following are the pre-requisites to search the result.
1). You have to configure the necessary settings for SAF.
Spro - CRM - Enterprises Intelligence - SAF
2). You have defined the problems and solutions.
Easy Acccess - Service - Enterprises Intelligence - Define Problems & Solutions
3).You have maintained FAQ   in the backend for a particular product.
Easy Acccess - Service - Enterprises Intelligence - Maintain FAQ
5). RFC connections has been cheked with the Trex.
    SM59
4). You should compile the same .
    BSP_ Wd_cmpwb  Comp: crmcmp_safadm - Test
After all these steps the data will reflect in the search.
Hope this will clear your issue!
    regards,
    Sarangamath
