Is it possible to manage Fingerprint Authentication in APEX?

Hi,
I have a restaurant control application in which the waiters need to login in order to place orders.
I would like to enable fingerprint authentication using Microsoft Fingerprint or Digital Persona devices. I understand the output from such devices is an image. Is it possible to transform the fingerprint image into a text chain (password) in order to use a simple authentication function? Or will I need to manage blobs?
Has anybody done this with APEX?

In portals there is a saying all authentication in portal while authorization in ackend so it goes here also BI authorization has to be done at backend . a way arround may be that u can migrate roles from backend to portal but in that case you need not create portal contents but authorization still remains at backend,hope this helps you please do not forget to give points

I have to implement jsp level security (by checking roles) for my JSF application.
Authentications in my appln are done by a different servers. I don't want to disturb that.
I have to implement authorisation alone using JAAS.
Is it possible to bypass JAAS authentication and use Authorisation alone?
I am using custom login module( implements DatabaseLoginModule) for authorisation.
Moreover, after logging in, when a user tries to access a secured jsp page, he should NOT be redirected to login page again. Rather the role checks should be done using existing user credentials stored somewhere. How to invoke the custom DataBaseLoginModule without taking user to login screen?
Any help would be great.

Sorry, i am new to LV. I would like to know Is it possible to integrate fingerprint device to lv car park?

Excually i want to develop a car park elevator using labview. And if the person wants to park the car, he would need to use his fingerprint to access the elevator and also remove the car, which would be done using LED. So, is it possible to use fingerprint device for it and is it possible to store the fingerprint in labview?

Hi,
Maintaining multiple GL accounts is good way because you would not know clear picture for each type of investments in same bank.
Whenever management is asking for details for different type of investments in same bank, then it will give us trouble.If it is not required you happily use single GL for multple investments.

Remote Management - Rights Authentication Failed

Since upgrading from zenworks 10 to zenworks 11 I am getting the following error when I try to remote to workstations. I am not receiving this on all workstations, just some.
Zenworks Remote Management
Rights Authentication failed. An internal error occured while validating
information about the managed device. If the problem persists, contact
Novell Technical Services.
I cannot find any info on this particular error. Workstations are Windows XP SP3. This error did not occur before the upgrade to Zen 11.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Is it possible to Manage iOS apps with Lion Server

I was wondering if anyone knows whether or not it's possible to manage (add and remove) iOS apps using Lion Server, specifically apps available via the app store rather than apps built for internal use? I can't seem to see a way of doing it using profile manager but was wondering if I was maybe missing something?

Possible to manage the MobileMe galleries made by iPhoto using Aperture3?

I am considering moving my whole library from iPhoto to Aperture.
I understand that I can import the whole iPhoto library, but is it also possible to manage the existing MobileMe galleries made by iPhoto using Aperture3, without changing the current URLs of the gallery?

I'd like some info on this also.
Currently I have iphoto publishing photos to Facebook, Mobileme and Flickr. I have imported my iphoto library but none of these folders have imported. Is there a clever way of transferring these over to Aperture (3) such that my mobilem is unaffected as is my Flickr and facebook.
Aperture 3 already see's my mobileme and I posted a new album to mobileme from Aperture wondering if that would force it to download the other albums on there already but it didn't. You would think there is a way to do this. Otherwise if I have to delete the links in iphoto to facebook and then repost them from Aperture they will show as completely new uploaded photos when a lot of them are years old and at a guess it will re-tag all my contacts who will all think there are new photos of them.
Likewise will all my flickr comments be lost in the above process and will I effectively be starting from scratch again?
Any thoughts, ideas, help and guidance would be very much appreciated. I'd like to get away from using both iphoto and Aperture to just using Aperture 3 now it has all the additional functionality of faces that I like to use.

Using Siri to open an App will bypass the Passcode/Fingerprint Authentication

I just used Siri to open an App on an iPhone 5s and it allowed me to bypass the passcode or fingerprint authentication and gain access to the iPhone. Is this a security flaw or do I need to set another option to prevent this? Certain apps require authentication, but so far, Flipboard and Youtube do not and they also allow full access to the iPhone without passcode or fingerprint. I have not tried this on another device with ios7.

Entirely possible. If you create a different Windows login for each user, then everyone will have a distinct library by default, located in:
C:\Users\user1/Music\iTunes
C:\Users\user2/Music\iTunes
etc.
In this scenario it is a good idea to disable fast user switching in iTunes, so that you can't have multiple users logged in and running iTunes at the same time. This is probably the best solution, especially as it provides the simplest upgrade path to the time when your children have their own computers. The only real downside here is that it is a little more difficult (and not automatic) to share music between the libraries.
You can also have multiple iTunes libraries under a single Windows login, though this is a little more awkward to set up and use - everyone will need to hold down SHIFT while starting iTunes and select his/her library based on the location of the appropriate iTunes database file.
Last option would be to have one Windows login, one iTunes library, and just use different playlists associated with each user's iPod.
