Is the H.263 vedio extension enough and convenient...
I want to buy Nokia 3120 but I am worried about the H.263 extension as it is the only one when comparing with other mobiles... What do you advice for that as I do not have enough experience and I do not want to be surprised in the future?

While working today i found that JMF has a videoformat :-VideoFormat.H263_1998_RTP which is compaitable with RFC 2429. But there is a problem - i tried several times to transcode my h263 file i am reading from local computer to h263_1998_RTP format but it fails giving following error:-

Is there any way by which i can transcode to h263-1998/rtp???

The Basics on Integrating Photoshop Elements and iPhoto
I've been using iPhoto and PSE 4 for several months, and love what I can do with my pictures, but I haven't mastered exactly how to integrate the two. I'd really like to continue using iPhoto to organize my pictures, but I'm just not sure I "get" how to deal with pictures I've worked on in PSE and then want to bring back (with changes) into iPhoto. I guess I'm asking for ideas on a simple, effective workflow for a hobby user with a fair number of pictures to manage. It would be helpful to me to understand some of the "behind the scenes" stuff...why things should be done a certain way; this makes it easier to really "get" what's happening, and not have to keep re-reading what to do. Thanks.
When you import RAW files into iPhoto, the RAW is tucked safely away in your Originals folder, and iPhoto immediately places a jpeg version into the Modified folder. So if you open what you think is a RAW for editing, you are really just getting a JPEG. iPhoto can't edit RAW files at all. So, if you are importing a RAW and a jpeg version of every shot, then you are in fact doubling your library.
I agree that it is easiest to set up Elements as your external editor in iPhoto. I do this (and only use jpegs, too). Select photos in iPhoto, double-click to open in Elements, edit, save. This save creates a modified version in iPhoto and is reflected in the iPhoto library immediately. However, if the file name or extension changes and requires a Save As, this will not link to the original in iPhoto. So do any Save As-ing to a folder outside of the iPhoto library, then import to iPhoto as a new original. In iPhoto I have a keyword to identify photos that I've edited in Elements. It used to bother me that I spent all that time editing a photo, only to have it get mixed in with all the others. With my "edited in PE 4" keyword I can find all my best edits quickly. This is my workflow for editing jpeg files.
My suggestion for your workflow with RAW files is to use Image Capture to upload from the camera to a folder - anywhere NOT inside the iPhoto library folder. Elements has a great RAW editing workspace, so with your RAW files in a non-library folder you could access them directly from Elements if you like to tweak your RAW files.
Then you have a choice. You could import the edited RAW files into iPhoto. Any subsequent editing would be done on the jpeg created in the Modified folder. You would not need to import your camera-created jpegs at all. (Unless you want to compare how your photo looked before and after you tweaked the RAW in Elements.) (Perhaps you had already imported the jpegs so you could view in iPhoto before you finished editing the RAW versions.) OR, leave the RAW files outside of iPhoto and only import the jpegs. But then, tweaking the RAW files wouldn't be that helpful, since you wouldn't see the outcome in iPhoto. Not a good choice, I guess. The bottom line is that if you want to edit your RAW files as RAW files, you should do so before importing into iPhoto.
iPhoto automatically adds a RAW keyword to RAW files, so they're easy to find. An organizational suggestion is to create separate film rolls in iPhoto for RAW and jpeg. So if you import some photos today you could name one roll 20070123...RAW and the other 20070123...jpg. There may be a good reason to keep the jpeg versions independently from the RAWs, but I can't think of one specifically. Is it easier to print from jpeg? Does it make exporting faster, since you don't have to convert the files as you export? I honestly don't know, because I've never used RAW.
I don't have a simple answer, but maybe this information will help you decide what works for you. -

I'm a Pro Tools user, who just did an "Archive and Install" installation of 10.5.8 over my 10.4.11 on my 2 Ghz G5, now Pro Tools won't launch. I checked the extensions folder and sure enough, the digidesign extensions were left behind. Can I revert back to the "Archive" of my 10.4.11 System from the "Previous Systems" folder? If not, what's the point of creating the "archive"?
Did you select "Preserve User Settings"?
Archive and Install installation automatically moves existing system files to a folder named Previous System, then installs Mac OS X again. (See tip 3.) You cannot start up your computer using a Previous System folder, nor can you "re-bless" the Previous System folder. (See tip 1.)
You can choose to preserve your user and network settings before installing. This option automatically moves existing users, Home directories, and network settings. This also skips the Setup Assistant after installation.
Note: Because the "Preserve user and network settings" option moves, not copies, existing users, Home directories, and network settings, from the Previous Systems folder to the newly installed System, these items will not exist in the Previous Systems folder after the Archive and Install is complete.

Every time I try to back up my Macbook Pro with an external hard drive using Time Machine, I receive the error of "the disk does not have enough space". I have a 500GB external hard drive and only 120GB Macbook. It worked fine before the latest Maverick's update. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
My guess would be it has created an entirely new backup of your drive when you upgraded to Mavericks.

Adobe extensions show in the Extension Manager and are enabled but do not appear at all in Photoshop CC 2014. Third party extensions do show up and can be used. All extensions are available in and can be used Photoshop CC. I have reinstalled CC and Extension Manager to the most recent releases and the Adobe extensions are still not available in Photoshop CC 2014. What should I do now?

Are the eMac and the G4 Mac Mini similar enough to...
use the eMac's tiger upgrade to upgrade my mini to Tiger? I know the other versions of tiger upgrades are specific to the hardware, i.e. powerbook, ibook, imac, ect. But seems to me eMac and the G4 mini are very similar. Possible?

I use the kurzweil 300 software and before I can use Read the Web I must first install the KESIReader.xpi Foxfire extension into Mozilla Foxfire however, the extension is not compatible with Mozilla Foxfire 5 which is the version installed on my computer. Hi,
I have a excel file that I have been using since beginning of year.
Yesterday, I tried to open it but a message comes out "
Excel cannot open the file beacuse the file format or file extension is not valid. Verify that the file has not been corrupted and that the file extension matches the format of the file"
After I click yes, the page is blank. The file is about 400kb in size.
I have try open and repair and third party repair program and not working also.

In order to clean your machine, run Microsoft Safety Scanner (http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx) to kill the malware, and then repair Excel file itself.

When I start iTunes, how do I get rid of the message "To use this machine for downloads, enter you Apple ID and password" which I now see twice since I downloaded the latest version of iTunes. Once is enough and no checkbox exists to say "do not show this message....."

I have an Apple MacBook Pro 1,1 Mac OS X 10.6.8. I have tried to load Native Instruments Guitar Rig 4LE.
It would not load and said the following. System extension cannot be used.

You should try to download iTunes 11.4 again from Apple's website: the new version bears the same name, but this kernel extension has been updated, and the issues it was causing are now a thing of the past.
