Is there a tool to synch Domino address book with personal address book

I see a tool to synch the Exchange address book and Cisco Personal Address book.  Is there one for Domino
or has it been forgotten again?

One of the main functions of the ipod touch is to sync your address book and calendar.

  • Sync Address Book with Yahoo Address book?

    Hi there,
just wondering if its possible to some how sync Address Book with Yahoo Address book?
That is... I have an elaborate Address Book setup on Yahoo, I'd like it so that if I use Yahoo Address Book and create/delete contacts that when I get home and use Address Book, Address Book syncs the contacts structure to the yahoo structure, without me manually intervening...
Is this possible or is there a tool/widget that does this already?
    Thanks

while looking for somehting else, i found something here in the discussions that might do the trick. it involves another web-based address book, but might work for you. try getting the plaxo address book plug-in, and then sync your yahoo contacts with plaxo, and then sync that with address book. i'm not sure of the order that would give you the best results, but i'm working on using plaxo as an online backup of my address book, as i will most-likely not be using plaxo otherwise.
my concern for you would be whether one would write over the other, so back up your address book first, or even export the entire thing as a vcard file to your desktop, and then you can re-import and merge them... that way you can sync with your yahoo account, and then add whatever is already in your address book and merge whatever is necessary.
search here in the discussions for the plaxo plug-in, and see if that sounds like it would work for you. the only issue i have right now is that it seems that the plaxo install has somehow affected my icalfix plug-in, but i'll look into fixing that this weekend, i'm sure i just need to move some plug-ins around.
    cheers,

  • Sync Address Book with Mail Addresses

What's the trick to sync Address Book with Mail Addresses. My Mail Addresses has only a handful of my addresses from addresses from Address Book.
    Thanks

After upgrading to Snow Leopard, when composing a message, the address is not completed when typing is begun. I have checked the Mail Preferences - Composing and there is a check mark beside "Automatically Complete Addresses". The "Configure I.DAP" window is blank and I do not know what, if anything, should be in that window.

  • Script to Update SL Address Book with Lion Address Book?

The only thing stopping me from switching from mobileme to icloud is my wife's imac, which is a little too old for Lion.  I have seen workarounds to sync calendars and mail, but not address books, via icloud.  Since it should be possible to export an address book from the Lion box and import it to the Snow Leopard box, perhaps that could be done automatically, once a day, using a script of some kind over my home network.  What would such a script look like?
Any other ideas for periodically replacing/updating the address book on my wife's SL mac with the address book on my Lion mac(s)?

The database probably won't do you any good: trying to replace it automatically is likely to fail as it's already in use. That at least was what I found.
You could export the entire contacts list as a vCard, and import it into the other address book, though you would of course need to delete the entire list there first in order to prevent duplications.

  • IP address Confilct with Mac Address

I have a windows server domain within which I have four mac users, three of them are using the latest version of leopard and all of them are having the same problem. This has happened three times (twice since I have worked here) and I have not seen any real resolution to the problem. The error I get "IP xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is in use by the following mac address" happens for no apparent reason. I know very well that the IP address is not in use, and whats more is that the mac address that is said to be in conflict bound to the four diffrent IP addresses is the same on all four computers. This does not make any sense, how can diffrent IP addresses be in conflict with a device that is said to use the same mac address.
I have identified that the mac address is given to a trunk port on one of my cisco switches. I know the switch does not conflict with the IP addresses.

    is in the same path:

  • Why can't I sync my .mac address book with my address book on my imac?

Ive read all the instructions made sure all my settings and preferences are correct, but my .mac contacts simply wont download into my contacts book on my .mac
    Very very frustrating!
    Please help!

here's some more information from michael lafferty, a frequent contributor:
"You also need to understand that now is not a particularly good time to be dealing with .Mac Sync issues, because server side changes have been made to accommodate the release of Mac OS X 10.5, and synchronization between Mac OS X 10.3 and any later version of Mac OS X is no longer supported. Substantial performance problems evident over the last few days have also made life difficult for many .Mac users.
"And, now more than ever—despite the likely slower response due to these changes and the large numbers of those likely affected—you should work with a .Mac support representative to resolve your registration or connection issue before attempting to reset your synchronization data. You've got the right idea, but you cannot proceed until you are able to connect and exchange information is a session with .Mac.
"To trigger a support request, fill out the web form on the lower part of this page. The status indicators at .Mac show that the synchronization update is still in progress, and that users may not see expected results."

  • Is there any function that output address by inputing the address no.?

Is there any function that accept an address number as input paramenter and return an address so that I don't need to build it myself?
    Thanks!

    FU ADDRESS_INTO_PRINTFORM        ADDRESS_TYPE
    Text
Address type: 1,2,3 or ' '(default)
    Description
    There are three address types:
Address type '1': 'Normal' address (company or organization); the address structure used in most SAP applications as 'Address'.
Address type '2': Address of a person
Address type '3': Work address, usually the address of a contact person in a company
The default address type SPACE is treated as type '1' and is required for the upwards compatibility of the function module.
The interface parameters ADRSWA_IN and ADRSWA_OUT are only used in address type SPACE.
    The other address types use:
ADDRESS_1 or ADDRESS_2 or ADDRESS_3 for the attributes, and
    SENDER_COUNTRY, RECEIVER_LANGUAGE, NUMBER_OF_LINES, STREET_HAS_PRIORITY and LINE_PRIORITY for control.
    The parameters COUNTRY_NAME_IN_RECEIVER_LANGU, LANGUAGE_FOR_COUNTRY_NAME and NO_UPPER_CASE_FOR_CITY are address type-independent.
The address attributes can be read directly instead of being passed in the structures ADDRESS1/2/3, if the address is in the Central Address Management tables.
The Business Address Services keys must be passed instead of the structures ADDRESS1/2/3:
    Address type 1: ADDRESS_NUMBER
    Address type 2: ADDRESS_NUMBER and PERSON_NUMBER
    Address type 3: ADDRESS_NUMBER and PERSON_NUMBER
The following parameters are used (Import) or filled (Export):

  • Address book - printing group address letter using only business address

I have a group that has business and home addresses for each person. I want to print mailing labels with just the business addresses. I went to address help and it told me to choose edit > edit distribution list. Now comes the problem. When I am in address book and click on edit the edit distribution list is always grey so I can't select it. What do I need to do so that it is selectable or is there another way to have it only print the business addresses instead of two labels for each person (one business address and one personal address)?
    Thanks,
    Tammy

I wound up deleting this group so that when I synced from desktop to laptop, I wouldn't be sending the corrupted address. But since they are all still in the All listing, I will check them out one by one and see what the particular problem was. I suspect it was an address that included a suite or apartment number and was just two long for the template.
    Thanks for your help!

  • Problem with IP address

I have an odd problem that has recently cropped up. I'm using a LinkSys BEFW11S4 wireless router connected by Ethernet to my MDD 1.25 GHz dual Power Mac (running 10.4.7). We currently have three computers on our network, mine (wired), and a PowerBook (10.4.7) and a 400 MHz iMac (10.4.6), both wireless. All three machines get their IP addresses by DHCP. When the iMac and my Power Mac are active, there is no problem. But when my daughter logs on from her PowerBook and subsequently either 1) restarts or 2) disconnects and then reconnects, not only does she get the "self-assigned address" message with an address beginning with 169, but the router stops functioning and has to be rebooted to get it working again. Configuring her computer to have a static IP address does not seem to work.
Has anyone out there had a similar problem and found a solution for it?

I have a very similar problem since I upgraded to 10.4.7. I have an Intel MacBook Pro and I use both OS/X and Windows XP on my machine. I am connected via airport to a Livebox wireless ADSL router (I am located in France). Whenever I boot up my machine in OS/X now, I have to turn off the airport, wait a few seconds, and then turn it back on, in order to get a DHCP assigned address from the router. The airport, on booting connects to the wireless network and shows a full signal, but it cannot connect to the internet and shows a "self-assigned address" when I check on the interface status. When I boot into Windows it does immediately come up with a DHCP assigned ip address (no, this is not an endorsement for Windows; merely pointing out that the problem is with OS/X and not my wireless router). This was not occurring prior to this update (I was on 10.4.6). My machine is "plain vanilla", except for the Windows partition.

  • Personal address Book - Import

    Hi,
Some webmail users want to do a bulk add from Global address Book to Personal address book....this seems to be a manual process....is there a better way of doing it ....instead of adding the users one by one manually....?
    iMS 5.2 hf 2.08

There is no "supported" method of doing this. Some folks have written scripts to help. In any case, there's nothing I'd feel comfortable giving a user to use. Everything would be done on the server level.
How about giving them access on a dropdown to the global adddress book? I think the Customization Guide talks about doing that.
