Issue in calculation of Absence days

Hi,
There is an issue in Time Management:
1.Employee X had applied for - annual vacation from 04/05/09 to 08/05/09 - should be 5 days, but only 4 days are transferred to interface system.
Wmployee Y had applied for - Annual vacation from 14/04/09 to 13/05/09 - should be 28 days, but only 27 days are transferred.
2. For a large number of people vacation was calculated incorrectly .However, payment was calculated correctly and was paid for.
I have checked all the configuration in TM and all are perfect, even Holiday calendar was made as moveable and it too works perfectly. Can any one help me - if any settings is missed.
Last year it didnt have any problem only this year the calculation makes an issue.
Thanks,
Priya

Hi,
Check the following:
1. In the scenario you have mentioned check whether Public Holidays which falls on Week endu2019s to be moved to next working day, as defined the next working day has inherited the same characteristics of that Public Holiday and the Day type and Holiday class becomes 1.
2.Day type and holiday Calendar reflecting was 1 for those moveable Holidays (ie.:on the Public Holiday as well as for the next moved working day )
3.Here the Day type and Holiday class character which has been moved has the same characteristics of Public Holiday and I think you want the applied leave to be deducted in the Quota used.( Am i right?)
4.In the table T556c Change the Holiday class and Day type - select 1/3 & 4 and in the counting class for PWS - select 1 & 2 and in DWS select 1 - 9.
5. In the Work schedule rule the class should get reflect ( say for e.g: if you have defined 4 it should get reflected for that Absence type .i.e: if a holiday falls on Saturday/Sunday and it is a Public Holiday and it is defined as moveable holiday, here if a person applies leave it should calculate the absence days correctly)
6.Now the Quota is will get deducted u2013 on that moved holiday for which a person applies leave.
7.Whereas for that PHC u2013 when a person applies leave the Quota used will be 0.
8.And the Absence Quota used will be correct according to the requirement.
Check all these settings and if you have any more questions please revert back.

Selva

    Hi,
I am developing one report that is for Annual increment/ Promotional increment. We are evaluating the data based on the annual / Promotional period on Selection-screen.
There is one record in the IT2001 with begin date 26.01.2008 end date 25.07.2008 for the absence type 0620(Unpaid leave). But our Annual/Promotional period is 01.04.2007 to 31.03.2008. I want to calculate absence days for the above record from 26.01.2008 to 31.03.2008.
Please let me know any function module which gives me exact absence days.

  • Auto Calculation of Calendar and absence day on 2001 screen.

    dear gurus
I have half day absent type Z108, subtype of 2001.
i want to default calender days on 2001 screen.
I mean, when user select to create Half day leave/absent on 2001 and subtype z108,
calendar day and absence should be calculated 0.5 automatically.
I have worked with T554L,V_554S_G,V_T554E,V_T554C,T556 but didnt work
at this moment, I am getting this on 2001 screen
    Absence hours                8,00
    Absence days                 1,00
    Calendar days                1,00
    when select Z108.
    I want above 3 as
    Absence hours                4,00
    Absence days                 0,50
    Calendar days                0,50
    kindly help in this scenario.

    Hi Monam,
Can yuou check the view V_T554S for your absence type.
The minimum duration and maximum duration in 'Input Chceks' Box should be '000' and '999'.
    Minimum duration in days
The Minimum duration in days defines the minimum permitted duration of
        an attendance or absence.
Attendances and absences that are allowed to last for less than one
workday are assigned the indicator 000. Attendances and absences that
are to be rejected by the system if they are shorter than one day are
denoted by an indicator greater than or equal to 001.
    Dependencies
In the Unit field, you determine which of the three durations in days
should be used for the validation.

  • Payment for Absence Days in Off Cycle

    Hi,
If an employee is to be absent during future payroll periods, for example, because of leave, you can pay the employee in advance for the period of the absence. The remuneration is calculated using Absence Valuation in Off Cycle Payroll.
I facing problem in this to determine payment for Absence for Calendar Days = 22.
The formula is Basic Salary/30 Days*Absence Day (Calendar Days).
I tried changing the PCR X011 but the value is not determined.
Can any Expert guide me to resolve this issue.
I have one more doubts, If payment is made in Off Cycle for future Absence Days, then when regular Payroll run, system automatically reduce the Absence Days and pay for the remaining days.
    Regards,
    Ram

    Hi Sikindar,
    Thanks for the reply.
Customer want every month the Calendar Days as 30 Days and 22 Days for two set of Employee Subgroup.
    The formula is below;
ESG PCR 3 = Basic Salary/30 Days * No of Abscence Days (Calendar Days)
ESG PCR 2 = Basic Salary/22 Days * No of Abscence Days (Calendar Days)
You mean to say we can create two constant for two set of Employee Sub Group.
Pls. see the screenshot of Table T554C.
Now guide me how to write PCR for this.

    Ram

  • HELP: PCR using AAU** can not count   absence days that less than a day

    Hi, experts
I  have  customized a  PCR using AAU**
But it  can not count  absence days that less than a day which is maintained  in  IT 2001 ,
such as  unpaid leave. However it can correctly  count  absence days that  last  one  day  or above .
The issue is so strange for me, so please give me some advice.

1 alternative approach is as follows:
Step 1: Ensure your absence type have already been mapped to an absence valuation rule
Step 2: In your absence valuation rule, (goto SM30 > V_t554c), assign a new wage type to capture the number of days
The wage type in step 2 should be created such that its attributes is to help your capture number of days of your unpaid
absence type when it is evaluated by your payroll schema
Final Step: You should be able to capture half day absences with such a wage type when you run your payroll calculations
Should you need to utilize such a wage type for subsequent calculation processing in your payroll schema, you may have to develop your own customer payroll calculation rules to do so

  • To change hospitalised quota to absence days instead of calendar days

    Hi experts,
Current setting hospitalised quota in my company is 40 days per annum. However, it is included non-workings days (Saturday& Sunday). I want to change the setting so that hospitalised qouta will deduct only absence day. Not Calendar days. Where the config that I can change it. Thanks in advance

    Hi,
You need to change the Counting Rule and check on the option Planned Hours>0.
After this the couting rule will take into account only the weekdays.
Let me know if it resolves the issue.

  • Absence days vs payroll days - their implications to absence quota counting

    Hi Gurus
Would like to understand why is absence quota deduction based on payroll days instead of absence days?
If there is a scenario in which the officer applied for a leave period which encompasses a Saturday (ws at that time is on alternate saturday), absence days and payroll days stored in IT2001 are the same.
However, if the same officer later backdates a change in work schedule in which his new working hours are from Monday - Friday, the IT2001 records would be recalculated and payroll days for that period with a Saturday would be 0 which is different from the absence day value.
Since so, wouldn't there be cases in which employees overtook leave when in fact they have really consumed the leave?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Absence counting is driven by legislation. For example, in some countries leave entitlement is given in calendar days, in others in working days. In general absence days reflect calendar days, and payroll days reflect days that are paid. Obviously depending on legislation (if it gives entitlement in calendar days) absence and payroll days can be the same.
    Cheers

  • Absence Days iView in the Portal

    Hi
In the portal as of now i could able to see only the Absence days. If my Absence type is linked to the Quota in which all the Public Holidays/Weekly also included. In Such cases Absence days and Quota Deducted days is not same.
In the Portal (Absence iView) i would able to see only the Absence days, But the Client wants to see the Quota Deducted Days  instead of Absence days which is coming from the IT 2001.
    please Suggest..
    Thanks in Advance
    Sri...

    Dear Srikanth,
Do you want to display the "calander days" in your portal when your requesting leave right? IF so, Go to IMG--- Personnel Management----Employee Self service----Service specific setting-----Working time----Leave request---Layout of the web application--Define filed Selection.
Click on "define field selection" you can able to find ABWTG-. Select that record and click on "Feild customizing" in left side.
Now you can find a button call "select field"  click on it  and you can select the "calander days"  field from left side and put it into right side and save it .
after this you can check in the portal.
Im sorry if this is not your requirement.

  • What are the Calculations of Compression days in MRP?

    Hi,
Can anyone please explain me with example that what are the calculations for compression days calculated for planned orders?? I am using MRP planning.
    Thanks and Regards
    Farhan

    HI,
compression days are the days by which lead time of your buy items gets compressed to fulfill the demand due dates.
For ex,  Finished Good is having Due date ( as scheduled ship date/request date in SO)   on 15th of Feb, but the buy item used in this assembly has lead time of 20 days.
Consider the plan is running today i.e. on 6th Feb, so buy item will be actually available  on 6+20=26th of  Feb,
But your demand due date is 15th Feb, which needs to be met, so planning engine will suggest an exception for this buy item as 'Item with compression days'
by compressing its lead time as 26th Feb-15th Feb=11days as compression days.
Please mark this post as correct or helpful it serves your purpose.

  • Issue in Calculation schema determination for Scheduling Agreements

    Dear All,
I am facing an issue in Calculation schema determination for Scheduling Agreements. The issue is -
"Appropriate calculation schema is not being determined when a scheduling agreement is being created"
The required settings which have been maintained are - The Calculation Schema (ZEIC31) has been created, Vendor Schema group has been created, Purchasing Organisation Schema group has been created, They both have been assigned to the Calculation schema in Schema determination, The Vendor Schema group has been assigned to the Vendor Master Record in master data creation.
When I am creating the scheduling agreement, the system is by default choosing the calculation schema - RM0002. Thus I am not able to put the manual condition types which have been assigned in the calculation schema - ZEIC31.
1> On what logic is the system picking that calculation schema?
2> What settings can I do to make it pick that calculation schema only which has been assigned with POrg Sch Gp and Ve Sch Gp?
    Regards,
    Sudhanshu

1> On what logic is the system picking that calculation schema?
As per "Define Schema Determination" in spro Purchasing document should pick the Pricing Procedure .
After creation of scheduling agreement have chacked your values in Scheduling agreement (Purchase ORG ,Schema grp in Vendor)
2> What settings can I do to make it pick that calculation schema only which has been assigned with POrg Sch Gp and Ve Sch Gp?
Check in Vendor mater is there any Plant specific Purcahsing data maintained. If it is plant specific Check purchasing data for that Plant.

There is one record in the IT2001 with begin date 26.01.2008 end date 25.07.2008 for the absence type 0620(Unpaid leave). But our Variable Bonus  period is 01.04.2007 to 31.03.2008. I want to calculate absence days for the above record from 26.01.2008 to 01.04.2008 and 26.01.2008 to 31.03.2008

         Thanks for your reply.
Yes i need to caliculate the absence days based on S_vbpd(vb period from selection screen). but here in IT2001 Absence day are maintained as contract period ... for example..
    vb period   01.04.2007 to 31.03.2008
    start date                  end date
    25.03.2007     03.04.2007

    25032007        03042007     20.03.2008                   05.04.2008
But system caliculating absence days for period 25.03.2007 to 03.04.2007 and 20.03.2008 to 05.04.2008 in infotype IT2001 total but i need absences from VB period start date and contract enddate(01.04.2007 to 03042007) next period (20.03.2008 to 31.03.2008).

  • Absence days not picked up in PARX and PARTA

    Hi
Under PARX which is in the output of function PAB in the PY schema, we are not getting the absence days when a start and end time is entered in the absence record. If we book a full day it ouputs 1 day absence which is right. If we book a half day, say from 09:00 to 12:45 the absence days shows 0 in PARX instead of 0,5.
The absence days is needed to deduct unpaid days in payroll (NPO), PY reads PARTA to get absence days but this also shows 0 when start and end times are entered.
    Can you kindly help?

  • Create a table calculating amount of days in InfoPath form

    Hello,
I am creating an InfoPath form and I want to have a table that will calculate the days needed to complete a project, it will allow the user to enter start dates and end dates and as that happens one row will have the calculated length of days it will take
to complete based on use input and it would be real-time so no need to manually press a button to update.
Here is my table for example:
The first row will be the row that has the Total project time with the start time and end time based on user input.
Is this something that can be done in InfoPath without any code? I am unable to use code so unfortunately that isn't an option.

    Hi compuluv,
Based on your description, my understanding is that you want to Calculate the length between two date picker controls in InfoPath using rules and formulas - no code!
Use rules, conditions, and the number(), floor(), and
substring()   functions in formulas to calculate the difference between two date picker controls in InfoPath.
Here is an article about it, you can use as a reference:
    http://www.bizsupportonline.net/infopath2007/calculate-date-difference-infopath-rules-formulas.htm
