Issue in deploying mapping in runtime

I generated a mapping in OWB 9.0.3 and tried to deploy into a 9.0.3.36 runtime schema. I get the error
"869/1 PL/SQL: Declaration ignored
869/49 PLS-00357: Table,View Or Sequence reference 'BILLING_ODS_UDTP'
not allowed in this context "
error is at following point.
PROCEDURE Main("TABLE_NAME" IN VARCHAR2 DEFAULT BILLING_ODS_UDTP, "CONSTRAINT_NAME" IN VARCHAR2 DEFAULT CHECK_BILLING_ODS_UDTP, "ERROR_TABLE" IN VARCHAR2 DEFAULT BILLING_ODS_UDTP_ERR, "EXCEPTION_TABLE" IN VARCHAR2 DEFAULT BILLING_ODS_UDTP_EXP);
I see that there are no single quotes for the table name as 'BILLING_ODS_UDTP'. When I manually put single quote it compiles.
Repository and Target Warehouse are Oracle 8.1.7.4 database.
Is there a patch that would take care of this issue?

I did not find any bugs specific to the case you are describing. However, the code that OWB generates changed between 9.0.3 and the current release in that it doesn't use DEFAULT notation any more.
If you were to generate the same mapping in OWB 9.2, it will be something like:
PROCEDURE Main(p_table IN VARCHAR2 ...
BEGIN
p_table=>'"BILLING_ODS_UDTP"',
So, if upgrading to the current release is an option, it would be my recommendation.

I can't seem to make a working profile to connect to office 365 on a windows 7 pc with only the mapi cdo runtime version 6.5.8320.0 installed using mfcmapi nor programmatically

I have been struggling with this for a few days now.
i have pc where no outlook is installed, where i installed the MAPI CDO Runtime may update (version 6.5.8320.0). i checked in the registry that the default mail provider was set to exchangemapi (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\Mail) .. it is.
I downloaded the lastest version of mfcmapi, which i believe was the version of december 2013
but i can't seem to create a profile for office 365 in it. I followed http://blogs.msdn.com/b/dvespa/archive/2013/05/21/how-to-mfcmapi-create-mapi-profile-exchange-2013.aspx and then i changed the properties to what was proposed here http://blogs.msdn.com/b/dvespa/archive/2013/07/15/create-profile-connect-mfcmapi-to-office-365.aspx
That did not work, i keep getting an error one ore more properties are invalid when i try to use that created profile to connect to office 365 (from within mfcmapi).
I also changed some of those proposed values to what autodiscover was telling me like setting PR_PROFILE_RPC_AUTH_PACKAGE to RPC_C_AUTHN_ANONYMOUS which should be the value $8000F001 instead of RPC_C_AUTH_NONE (at least i think so)
I builded a simple program to encrypt my password using CryptProtectData and entered the value using mfcmapi in PR_PROFILE_AUTH_PASSWORD as was suggested in the last page.
but nothing seems to work, i keep getting wrong configured errors and i'm totally clueless atm. This is supposed to work right on a pc where outlook is not installed ?
I also tried this on another pc where outlook 2010 is installed and i am able to create the profile there and connect without a problem given that i enter the logon credentials once and let them be remember (they get stored / cached in the windows key store,
like when using CREDWRITE function) from then on i can connect without a problem.
also when calling configuremsgservice on the EMS service i created for a new profile in mfcmapi and let the UI show i can see on the pc where outlook is installed in the UI options to enter proxy information however when i do the same thing on the pc
where only the mapi cdo runtime is installed i do not see any UI option to configure the proxy server information ... is this normal ?
Hopefully someone can shed some light on what i'm doing wrong or might be wrong.

The window would open and I would get the hourglass cursor suggesting something was happening, but the Apple home page (default from the install) would not load, nor would any other page I tried (google, yahoo, cnn).

Issues while deploying adf application in WLS 10.3.5

Earlier, I was using Jdev 11.1.2 and had WLS 10.3.5+Sherman Patch with ADF Runtime 11.1.1.5 and the application was running fine.
Now I am using Jdev 11.1.1.6 and have installed WLS 10.3.5 with ADF Runtime 11.1.1.6
Now when I am deploying my application I am getting the following error :

Deploying map viewer on tomcat

hello,
because there was no useable result of all the past threads handling this topic, i would like to ask again.
Is there any experience in deploying the Oracle Map Viewer on a Tomcat server?
Sure, it is possible to deploy the ear/war file at Tomcat and to call the main page of Map Viewer (but not completely, at all), but after that, it seems like some parts of the OC4J are missing, like the xml-parser.
I tried something with the jars of oc4j, the classpath of tomcat and so on, but nothing really helped.
And i know about the pro and con of deploying Map Viewer anywhere else than the oc4j or application server. So there is no need to mention this again.

I do that in my dev environment because it's faster to restart. I guess you still need an oracle appserver license even if you run it in tomcat.

Also, you have to create the login you will use for the mapviewer admin:
your conf/tomcat-users.xml file should at least contain this:

<role rolename="manager"/>
<role rolename="admin"/>
<role rolename="map_admin_role"/>
<user username="yourname" password="secret" roles="map_admin_role,tomcat,admin,manager"/>
Then you use yourname to login to the mapadmin.
This works for me.

" Changed " Design Status after deployment involving two runtime reposiory

Hello everybody,
I'm experiencing severe metadata management problems in OWB 10.1.0.2.0.
When I deploy a mapping into the production runtime repository , it appears with a "changed" design status when I switch back to the development runtime repository.
If I can't rely on the design status it will be a nightmare to manage mapping delivery !
Anyone can share his experience about managing multiple runtime repository ?

Looking at your single design repository that deploys to two runtime repositories; I would say when you switch the runtime, it updates internally the default connected runtime for the mapping. As you will remember you can deploy straight from within the design browser if you have previously set the deploy mode. It will be updating this.
Not much you can do, except create a different design repository. It is somewhat poor I know. I raised a number of TARS on this myself. Perhaps they improved it in Paris (but I somehow doubt it.) Multiple database deployment configuration should be in there but so should real user based functional security and versioning(via the frontend without script repository hacks).
Too sum up, nearly all sites use the multiple design repository approach.

Deploying maps in control center - gets stuck at 50%

I am able deploy maps individually. They get done very quickly. But if I select all the maps with replace and try to deploy them it gets stuck at 50% and no progress further. In test env it works fine and we have this problem only in PROd.
Does anyone have the same problem.

I did have some issues with trying to deploy mappings en masse, and have made it as a rule of thumb, not to deploy too many mappings at a time.
did you look at the DB side, and see if you had any blocked session? Perhaps a mapping you are trying to replace is running and the pl/sql code is blocked? If you have Toad or EM you might be able to see what the session from OWB is waiting on. If the session is idle then this might be related to JAVA on your machine?

Issues with deploying 6880-X in VSS Mode

Hi Everyone,
I wanted to query the support community to see if folks are encountering issues in deploying the 6880-X in VSS mode. We first looked at this soluition when it was running 15.1(2) SY2 as the recommened GA code. We ran into several issues:
1) VSL Link Timeout - Workaround:modify LMP timer or upgrade to 15.1(2)SY4
2) Port-member goes into suspendstate when using 1000BASE-SX - shut/no shut suspended interface
We ran into this and some other issues even with the eFSU upgrade process. So my question is have you run into similiar difficulties in running the 6880 in VSS mode. Did you go ahead and deploy? If so did you deploy with 15.1(2)SY4 (new Cisco GA code) or did you live with the state you are in?
Were there ways that you mitigated these issues?

Issue with heat maps refresh process in EID 3.1?

Issue with Heat Maps in EID 3.1? Heats maps don't refresh unless you go back to home page and then again go back to the Endeca app.
In Oracle Sample app if we open the Map tab we will see that Milwaukee is really hot in the heat map. now if we filter the data to just show data from 100 miles within Orlando, FL then the map will get refreshed to show that area but the colors on heat maps do not change.
Now if we keep the refinements same and go back to home page and again go back to sample app and maps tabs then it will still show area of 100 miles within Orlando, FL which is good but now heat map would have updated and it would show us correct color.
Now if we remove the refinement then it would show complete US map as hot which is again wrong.
I have observed this issue in chrome browser as well as firefox.
Is there anyway to overcome this issue?

This issue was resolved after applying latest patch from Oracle.

Getting Duplicate Object existing issue while deploying the BIAR file

Hi All,
We are trying to deploy BIAR File with XI R2 Command tool InstallEntSdkWrapper. But we are getting Duplicate Object exixting issue while deploying the BIAR file.
Error Message:

   [report] [InstallEntSdkWrapper.CmsImportFile] Exception: An error occurred at the server :
   [report] Failed to commit objects to server : Duplicate object name in the same folder.

If we are doing any promition with Import Wizard we have an option to "Overwrite object contents" option to overwite exixting objects. It will very helpful if any one suggest how we can achieve this through InstallEntSdkWrapper.
Unfortunately there is no documentation availabe on InstallEntSdkWrapper.

Issue of deploying a fusion Web Application with integrated Weblogic server

i'm using Jdev 11.1.1.3.0 to develop a fusion web application, with a model and ViewController Projects.
When i try to deploy this application with the integrated server, i have any issues.
The origin seems to be that it builds an application with 3 profiles. The model application is recognized and deployed as a webapp and not an ADF library as it should be..

The Mapping here is used is XSLT mapping and in SXMB_MONITOR , Error shown is :

I checked in ATOVA SPY XML Check , it seems to be the issue in XSLT mapping .
Part of XSLT mapping Error line:
when test="//IDOC/EDI_DC40/RCVLAD = '3157411730014'"> --There was a single qoute missing
Tested in Atova with payload , it worked

Issues in Value Mapping...

Hi Experts,
I have an issue in Value mapping. For 2 to 3 target data I have assigned same Group ID of source.
1) It is not allowing to segregate based on Group ID in the target area.
2) If I want to change the group Id of one of the assigned target data, it is throwing error saying that group ID already exists.

hi Praveen,
As far as i know Value mapping in XI will not allow you to have duplicate values . I mean different source cannot have same target values .. in case of you still want to implement the same you can use some logic like
source -- target
x---1
y---1
then save your values like this in VM
x--x~1
y---y~1
in code u should put the logic to split and take the value.

I have the following issue when deploying:
Solution Deployment : Missing one or more of the following attributes from the root node in solution .wsp: assembly '', type ''
The solution is a farm solution (was never sandbox) and it deploys fine.
It was updated several times with success. We did not see this issue until recently when we had some other issue (unrelated) and looked at the logs. The solution is updated without problem and updates are available for the user. But we can see this error
in the logs at the update time.
Any idea what might cause this?

This error is wide meaning, as it can come from differences between SP versions, variables types used, bad manifest file, WebConfiguration ...
You can try to redeploy the solution.
retracted the solution,removed all the previous ref, removed dll from GAC and folder from 14\features and reset the iis, deploying it again.

Problem Description
We are facing issue while deploying a bpm project over a newly built bps-soa server 11.1.1.6.
While we are deploying a bpm project, first it is taking around 40mins to create .jar file and then while deploying, it is getting failed with transaction timed out error.
"composite: Onboarding: javax.ejb.EJBException: Transaction Rolledback.: weblogic.transaction.internal.TimedOutException: Transaction timed out after 301 second".
we have tried with changing all transaction parameters also like JTA,XA( as similar to our exiting running QA/PROD environment which is on 11.1.1.5) but even then facing the same issue.
The code were originally build over 11.1.1.5 version, for the first time opening with jdev, code gets migrated and over the upgraded code we did some business specific changes and now trying to deploy over the new server.
Code is getting successfully compiled and also .jar file is creating properly but while deployment facing error(As shared earlier).
Also tried to deploy the same .jar file using em consle(to soa-infra) but facing similar issue.

2 things must be noticed:
First: ODI 11g is not supported by JDK 7, I always use the JDK1.6.0_27 and works fine. When you try to open the ODI Studio, this message appears, telling that ODI is supported only with JDK 6 versions, so don't try to use JDK 7.
Second: I always install the JDK in a path without spaces, like "C:\JDK1.6.0_27\" and the excatly same thing to odi install files. So I call via Command Prompt:
C:\ODI_INSTALL\Disk1\setup.exe -jreLoc C:\JDK1.6.0_27\
I did over 20 windows installations using these settings, it'll work perfectly.
