Issue with installation of ofm application adapter

Hi,
I'm new to application adapter for SAP in 11g.
I was working on an integration scenario between oracle-ebs and sap using ofmw 11g (11.1.1.4).
When I'm trying to install ofm_adapters_application_generic_11.1.1.4.0 (downloaded from OTN).
When executing/running "iwora11gPS3_application-adapters_win.exe", getting following error:
__"Error while checking for instances  an error occurred while trying to manage the selected instance"__
configuration is as follows:
Machine: windows virtual machine
OS: Windows Server 2K3, Service Pack 2
DB version: Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.1.0
JDK Version: java version "1.6.0_21" ( installs default along with Weblogic)
FMW: Oracle SOA Suite 11gR1 (11.1.1.4.0)
Could someone please help here as to what could be the reason, why this error is coming and how we could resolve this.
Regards,
newbie.

From our experience, we decided to have our server re-imaged and re-installed all the necessary Oracle Suites. We believe something in the registry was preventing us from installing the application adapter. Once we cleaned out our box, everything went well and we were able to install the Application Adapter with no error. This may not be ideal if you are in a production environment, but for development this maybe quick and clean.

  • Issue with polling files in File Adapter

    Hi Team,
I am facing a issue while using a File adapter to poll file from a directory.I am illustrating the scenario below
It is a File to Proxy Inbound Scenario. In the sender file adapter module we are using the Plain2XML.
Now when I have uploaded the file say 874.txt in the directory.Adjusted the file name in the comm channel accordingly ,refresh the adapter in RWB but find that the file is not getting picked up by the adapter. The adapter is also not throwing any error in RWB.I just tried with stopping and starting the adapter but it is not picking up the file.
Can anyone please let me know what might be the issue?
    Thanks and Regards
    Atanu Mazumdar

    Hi Atanu Mazumdar,
        P. Rajesh has already indicated the way to see the channel locks. Now you need to have access to visual admin. Follow these links to get into Visual admin   http://www.saptechies.com/visual-administrator/
    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/40a08db9-59b6-2c10-5e8f-a4b2a9aaa3d2?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true
Alternatively Please consult your BASIS team, they can release channel lock easily.
Finally one more checking : if your operating system is UNIX you need to make the file permission bits set to rwx by others and group. i.e  chmod 777 filename
    regards

  • 2 Issues with Curve -- Camera and Application Connectivity

I'm having 2 issues with my Curve 8300.  I tried upgrading the SW to 4.5 but it didn't help.  Any ideas?
    - The camera is no longer working.  When I try taking pictures, it saves a JPG file but the file to the assigned folder but the file is smaller than it should be (usually ~6KB) and it doesn't render as an image.
    - I'm trying to use an application (the NYT Crossword Puzzle) but it gives me the error message "Unable to connect to the server.  Please try again later.", even though I do have connectivity for e-mail and web browsing.  I tried adjusting the application permissions in advanced settings but it didn't help.
    Thanks.

Hi and welcome to the forums!
As far as the camera I would try the following:
No data will be lost when doing the following: pull the battery while the device is ON. Replace after a minute, Let the device reboot 1-3 min, see if the problem is fixed, Thanks
If that doesn't work I would suspect a low memory condition please read this link:
    http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB14213&sliceId=SAL_Pub...
I do not have a definitive answer for the cross word. app. Could it be possible to test it off hours, to see if the servers at the NYT are in
    fact busy?
    Thanks

  • Issues with CS6 and Adobe Application Manager

When trying to open an Adobe CS6 application, a crashing loop begins. The AAM opens and closes once per second in the Dock, along with the application I was attempting to open.  Because of the constant open and closing of these apps, it's almost impossible to get the mouse or keyboard to focus for enough time to do a force quit on either application, and a hard reboot is usually required to break out of the cycle. I had the entire suite uninstalled and reinstalled, but several weeks later, the issue resurfaced.

There was an issue with the serialization file created.
Creating a new serilaization file via AAMEE and running it resolved the issue.
Create a serialization file via AAMEE: http://wwwimages.adobe.com/www.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/devnet/creativesuite/pdfs/Ad obeApplicationManagerEnterpriseEditionDeploymentGuide_v_3_1.pdf
And then run it via command line.
    Here are the steps:
AdobeSerialization (serialization file created using AAMEE 3.1) is not a double clickable file. You need to run it via command line to serialize the products. the command line is -
    AdobeSerialization --tool=VolumeSerialize --stream --provfile=”Absolute_Path_of_prov.xml”
    where
--tool=VolumeSerialize:  specifies that the tool needs to process the prov.xml file to serialize.
--provfile” specifies the absolute file path to the prov.xml file,
By default, the tool looks for the prov.xml file in the same directory as the executable file and so
typically you do not need to specify this option. (Specify this option only if the prov.xml file is in some
    other location.)
Make sure you invoke command prompt with Admin privileges. Return code of zero means success.
Tiffany can you please confirm the same?

  • Having issues with connecting to various applications

I first noticed my connection issues with the iTunes store.  It just wouldn't connect and an error message popped up.  I figured it had something to do with iTunes.
But then I noticed my Skype wouldn't connect.
And when I click on the "File Explorer" tab pinned to the taskbar, it thinks for 30 seconds, the whole screen will blink once and it will never pull up.
Everything else runs smoothly. I can browse the internet. Play my music in iTunes (just can't open the store).  I can open Word documents without any issues.  I checked the Windows firewall and it is set to allow both iTunes and Skype. This issue
only started a few days ago.  And last night I made sure my Windows was up to date.
I have a Samsung laptop with Windows 8.  Any idea what might be going on?

    Hi,
We need more information to analyze your issue. What's error message when you attempt to connect the Skype?
And how about when you launch "File Explorer" via the original source instead of pinned shortcut in taskbar?
I would like to suggest you run App troubleshooter to see if it could be fixed:

Meanwhile, please update all your drivers especially video card.

  • Viewmail for lotus notes - Issue with installation

    Hello there,
We just did an upgrade from an older version of unity and call manager (4 to 9)
There unity was tied to lotus notes.
We are having an issues configuring the Viewmail for lotus notes client.
we are using the following installation guide
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/connection/vmn/release/notes/851cucvmnrn.html
on theCreating a ViewMail for Notes Account in Notes section
step 2 (we are using notes 8.5)
it says from the file menu select open then lotus notes application then Install VMN
that menu option is not there at all.  Please help
we have a menu under file then application.  however there is not Install VMN option
we are on connection 9.1.1a however the issue seems to be with the client not matching up on the install instructions
    thanks

Please check the below docs . Looks like the EOL for IBM lotus with cisco UC has
    ended a long time back.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/voicesw/ps6789/ps9830/end_of_life_notice_c51-546834.html
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/prod_category_end_of_life.html
The above is the reason why you probably do not see the install VMN option.
    Hope that helps!

  • Issues with deploying BC4J/JSP applications on OC4J

To everyone who's been having problems deploying BC4J/JSP applications to OC4J.
We are aware that you're having problems deploying to OC4J, and we're working on them. OC4J was not available in time for us to add support for OC4J deployment to the JDeveloper 3.2.3 release. In addition there are some bugs in the first release of OC4J that have an impact on BC4J applications. This note describes the issues, and how we plan to address them.
    Issue 1: Classpath problems
People have been getting "class not found" or "properties file not found" errors when they try to run their JSP. The answer is to make sure that all relevant archives and your JSP's .properties file are in the OC4J classpath - there's a note addressing the .properties file problem at http://technet.oracle.com:89/ubb/Forum99/HTML/000028.html. In general though, setting up the classpath can be tricky.
Issue 2: JSP TAG NOT RELEASED ON END TAG. SAME TAG IS REUSED.
This issue affects JSP pages whose behaviour relies on a tag instance being cleaned up as a result of release() being called.
Your tag will not be released, and subsequent instances of the tag will reuse the first instance, rather than instantiating a new
    one.
    Issue 3:JSP SCRIPTABLE VARIABLE NULL
A scriptable variable set in a tag cannot be accessed by a scriptlet. For example, this JSP code will throw a
NullPointerException, because the scriptlet cannot access the value of resultRow:
    <jbo:Row id="resultRow" action="CURRENT" datasource="customer_vo1" />
    <%
    session.putValue("FIRSTNAME", resultRow.getAttribute("Firstname").toString());
%>Workaround: Add a line of code at the beginning of the scriptlet to explicitly get the variable's value from the page context, for
    example:
    <jbo:Row id="resultRow" action="CURRENT" datasource="customer_vo1" />
    <%
    resultRow = (oracle.jbo.Row)pageContext.findAttribute("resultRow");
    session.putValue("FIRSTNAME", resultRow.getAttribute("Firstname").toString());
    %>
    What we plan to do
To address issue 1, we're currently testing a utility that installs the BC4J runtime libraries to OC4J, and provides a script to start OC4J with the correct classpath. We plan to post this by the end of this week, along with instructions for deploying a BC4J application to OC4J; deployment will be a lot simpler after running the utility.
To address issues 2 and 3, we're working on a second utility that installs BC4J runtime and provides a fix to the JSP compiler. We plan to post this second utility by the end of next week.
We do apologise for the problems you're having; please bear with us as we work on making it easier for you to deploy BC4J applications to OC4J.
    Thanks
    Blaise

Hi, I have been trying desparately to deploy
a simple example JDeveloper application for months and months.
I HAVE NEVER BEEN SUCCESSFUL IN DEPLOYING ANYTHING.
I don't know much about webservers and I am relying
on the instructions from JDeveloper help and this website.
I have already tried Apache, and WebLogic
because there are instructions in the JDev help.
    No luck.
Now I am trying to use OC4J on 9ias because there are instructions.
I have read the instructions about how to install a BC4J
app on OC4J about 25 times, but I can't get this thing to work.
It works fine inside of JDeveloper.
I create a BC4J project using the scott
schema (just the dept and emp tables).
Then I create an empty project for my JSP client.
I choose JSP Application from the web
objects and it connects to my BC4J project.
As I say, when I run it in JDeveloper, there is no problem.
In the instructions for installing BC4J
in OC4J, it first says install JDev 3.2.3 and OC4J.
This is done, and it tested fine.
Then it says to install the deployment software.
    No problem.
But when I deploy the app according to the instructions,
it just hangs (like Rick Wang's program did).
The main.jsp page loads and displays correctly,
but when I click on the links to the DeptView.jsp
    or EmpView.jsp it just hangs.
Here is the entire batch file I'm using
    to start OC4J: cd c:\oracle_9ias\j2ee\home

All of the files referenced in my classpath are
    present in my c:\oracle_9ias\j2ee\home\lib directory.
I noticed that Raghu's classpath contains a file called jdev.jar
So does the classpath of another fellow who says
he was successful in deployment (his name is Jeffrey Jackson).
I searched my JDev_3.2.3 for this file and found it nowhere.
I also searched my OC4J home and my 9iAS for this file and
    found it nowhere.
It is nowhere on my C:\.
    Is this file necessary?
I will also try removing my application.properties file
and my connections.properties file from my BC4J .jar file
and put them in a separate .jar file at the root level (as Raghu did).
However, Jeffery Jackson did not do this and says he was
    successfull in deployment.

  • Memory issues with Oracle BPM 10gR3 application

    Hello,
We have been running the load test(100 concurrent users) on our web application that is developed using Oracle BPM 10gR3 and seeing stuck threads on rendering the workspace page in JSF API(method createAndMaybeStoreManagedBeans). I copied one of the stuck thread trace below. When we looked at the heap, it's full. GC also not releasing memory. From the analysis, I found that due to the lack of memory the requests are stuck. I also went through the forums and found that Oracle 10.3 workspace is a memory hogger.
Can anyone suggest me the recommendation settings for the workspace?
We don't have clusters setup yet and planning to setup one. Are there any limitations on the user load on workspace per node?
Please let me know if anyone had the same issue and resolved.
    Overview of the application:
Most of the web application is running on global interactive activities with screen flows. The process instance size is small. The Engine and workspace are deployed on the same weblogic instance.

  • Network Issues with Visual Studio Online Application Insgihts

My team is using Visual Studio Application Insights to monitor availability of our web server (we use cloud service)by making a call to it every 5 minutes from different locations around the world including Singapore, Japan, France and Switzerland.
We experienced continuous failures of this monitoring from Singapore from September, 19-th and the issue became very big on September 21-st, September, 22-nd. After that on September, 23-rd and 24-th we have failures form Paris. Then starting from September,
24-th to September, 26 we have very high percent of failures from Japan. Our problems finished with one more failure coming from Switzerland on September, 26.
I wanted to find what the source of the problem is since we checked our code and it very simple to cause network issues. However, it is very difficult to reproduce the issue. My questions is - were all these problems coming from Visual Studio Online Application
    Insights?
One example error that it is tracked in Visual Studio Online Application Insights is:
System.Net.WebException: Unable to connect to the remote server ---> System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because

    Thank you!
    Kanio

    Hello Kanio,
There is nothing AI-specific in the stack, and, since the exception was reported to the portal, I would say that AI was working that time. However, if the issues goes away as soon as you disable AI - then it might mean that the issue is induced by AI presence.
Also, you can try the latest AI SDK (0.13 as of today) and see if the issue still happens.

  • Abort issue with installation CS6 (payloads)

    Dear all,
Since I wanted to find out if CS6 products would pay out I wanted to install the trial version of the CS6 (MC) but got the below mentioned error messages during insallation process of PremierPro, Aftereffects, Indesign, Illustrator.
I thought it would come form permission issue in the registry but what makes me wonder is that the reg  key in brakets (I think that is the key name) is not found in my registry hive.
I worked with CS5 since long time smoothly, never had such an issue.
--> My system for the Trial: Win7  /64bit / AV and Firwall disarmed for installation/ working as Admin / Highend HW
Any Idea what interrupts the installation of the payload units?
What does these Payloads require to settle? What are they good for?
    Thanx

  • Issues with installation and Error codes afterwards ...

So this morning getting on my computer I was going to watch youtube videos, and it popped up saying that my adobe flash player was out of date.
Fine and all, I went to update, and when the .exe finished downloading I launched it, and the Adobe Flash Player installer popped up, and its was blank, didnt do anything.
I did some searching around and found that a way around it is downloading the offline installer, which a member of this board posted links to very often. But everytime I tried following these links it was giving me a 404, so I did some searching around, ended up a the download center Adobe Flash Player - Downloads and downloaded this one : Download the Windows Flash Player 15 Plugin content debugger (for Netscape-compatible browsers) (EXE, 16.84 MB)
It installed just fine, my videos and .swf files loaded again.
But now I've run into another issue, when I load a youtube video up, I get a couple error codes, here they are
Error #2044: Unhandled IOErrorEvent:. text=Error #2036: Load Never Completed.
Now, I've googled these errors, and looked at the help section on this site, and both of these have nothing to do with the issue I'm having, they seemingly pop up for no reason, when I hit dismiss all or continue the video plays just fine. But I would really rather not have to deal with this popping up every single time I go to watch a video.
I dont know if it has something to do with plugins I'm using or the browser, I'll do some more tests meantime but I'll list what Im running below :
    Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
    Using the Opera Web browser
The only extension that I believe could be causing an issue, is Youtube Center, but the only thing that really changes is the way the video loads, I'll try disabling it and seeing if that changes it but I'm confident thats not the issue here.
If someone could help me out with this I would really appreciate it.

You get this because you installed the debug player.  Uninstall it, and install the standard players from
Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)
Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)

  • Issues with SOAP output from our adapter.

    Hi,
I have a supplier who is building a SOAP processor. To do this I streamed the output to them and they reviewed it. A number of things were pointed out and I wanted to know if there was a way for me to resolve them. The message is below. I am not a MIME/SOAP guru but they think the output does not follow W3C standards.
    1) The Content-Type in MIME header should be multipart/related; type="text/xml"; since attachments are included.
2)The entire actual MIME message is 7 bit encoded. We are expecting to see that the SOAP message is 7 bit encoded and each attachment is base64 encoded.
    3) The SOAP message is missing xml header <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> in the actual MIME message.
    Any thoughts are apprieciated

    Amy,
Would agree with Stacy. Have someone on BASIS team check SOST transaction on day where you had email go out, and the customer indicated they got no PDF. You could at least validate that the message leaving your SAP system had a PDF attached to it by looking in SOST. You could then definitely say that the issue is on the receiving side.
If the transmission in SOST is void of PDF, then you would be back to reviewing your output type and the config behind it (including programs).
Hope this helps. Revert back if not.
    Thanks,
    Jay

Hello Leca, I'd try this first...
Mac OS X: About the Reset Printing System feature ...
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1341?viewlocale=en_US
    10.5/10.6/10.7/10.8 instructions...
In System Preferences>Fax & Print, Right click or Control+click on the Printers list Sidebar, choose Reset Printing System.
if you hold option and click the "-" tab it resets the printing system.
    http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20031215144430486
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions.
Any devices that previously appeared in your Printer List and Fax List will need to be added again after resetting the printing system.
Resetting the printing system in Mac OS X 10.5.x+++
        1.    To use the Reset Printing System feature in Mac OS X 10.5.x, follow these steps:
        2.    Choose System Preferences from the Apple menu.
        3.    Choose Print & Fax from the View menu.
        4.    Control-click on list of printers on the left side of the window, then choose "Reset printing system" from the contextual menu. If you don't see a list of printers, Control-click on the text "Click + to add a printer or fax" and select "Reset printing system..."

As an alternative, if you currently have one or more printers listed, you can Option-click the "-" (Remove printer) button.

    Reboot.
