Item Master Data Form Question

I have a user defined table (i.e. Colours) connected to the Item Master Data Form (-150). This table is combo box on the form. Whenever I populate this combo I specify Code (i.e. 1) and Name (i.e. Red) values. Now if my form in the search mode and I bring list of the items by using * for item number (Form 1003) I can see matrix with number of records but unfortunately  column with  colours displays Code instead of  Names. Please let me know whether it is possible to display Name value.
thanks

  • Item Master data form settings

    Hello friends,
I need to change the form setting for one of my users in item master data for "item group" and "set GL accounts by" field, but when I go to form settings it does not display these fields. How can I make these fields inactive or make not visible.
    Thanks

    Hi Nagarajan,
    Thanks for your reply.
So is there any alternative to achieve this to restrict one user from updating these two fields?

  • Remove Item Master Data

I want to delete bulk of unused item master data from SBO.Please suggest the method as its become very hectic to delete item one by one from Item master data form.

First Download the B1TCH application.  After unzipping.  Run B1TCH.exe, enter the Server name, userid and password and Refresh Icon next to company dropdown list.
On the page link I send you can see the following tips.  You could build a query which picks all Items in the OITM table which do not exist in any of these OINM, OPOR and ORDR tables.
You can save this list as a txt or dynamically pass the query.  Rest is explained below.
    Deleting stuff
The following examples focus on deleting items from the database. This is something you cannot do with the DTW.
To delete a single item with ItemCode 'DEMOITEM1' from the database, just type:
    remove(ITEM,'DEMOITEM1')
...you may also build the list of items by defining a list such as this:for itemcode in['A123','B124','C125']:  remove(ITEM,itemcode)
The above samples are nice for testing, but in a real world scenario you might perhaps want to read the itemcodes from a textfile with one itemcode per line:
    for itemcode in open("c:
    itemstodelete.txt"):  remove(ITEM, itemcode)
...OR you might wish to use a resultset from a query as a source for the item codes:
rs=query("select itemcode from oitm where qrygroup64='Y'")for itemcode in browse(rs):   remove(ITEM, itemcode)
Function calls can be nested for a more compact expression:
for itemcode in browse(query("select itemcode from oitm where qrygroup64='Y'")):  remove(ITEM, itemcode)

  • Master-Detail Form Questions

    Master-Detail Form Questions
I have two questions in regards to master-detail forms:
First, the form I am working on has 25 detail rows displayed to the user. If the user has more than 25 detail records for the master, I want them to be able to add more. For instance, after they enter the 25th record, I would like a pop up window to ask them if they would like to add more detail records for this master. If they select yes, then the records they have entered would be saved and then the form would repopulate with the current master record and another empty 25 detail records.
Second, I would like the Detail Action to be set to Insert if the user moves to a new detail row and selects an item from a combo box.
Thanks for any and all help.
    Jeremy.

    Hi Sharmila.
Is there a way to repopulate only the Master information without populating the detail after the 'Save' button is pressed? I have written code that uses the session variables and repopulates the form with all the data that has just been saved, but I need only the master without the detail.
    Thanks.

  • How to erase the definition of a standard warehouse within item master data

    Dear Community,
I got a short question. We want to use the user definition in order to pick the right warehouse when we create a purchase or any other kind of document.
Right now the customer defined the standard warehouse within the item master data.
In order to use the definition stored within the user data it seems as if we have to delete the standard-entry within the item master data.
So far I could not find a possibility to erase that.
Can you help me with that problem??
    Cheers, daniel

If you have nos of records.then make CSV file for DTW and update all item warehouse in item master.
if you get any issue form will help you .
i have done same many times .
    manually:-
Add another warehouse in master make default it then delete it so you can remove default option in master.
    Manually,
Make a FMS whenever user select item(On every transaction Docuement) then warehouse field become blank and blank warehouse we cant add the document so here user select warehouse which he want.

  • "Req. Inv. Level" in the Item Master Data - Inventory Data

    Dear All,
Would like to ask what is the function of the "Req. Inv. Level" in the Item Master Data -> Inventory Data ??
What is the different with Min. Inventory?
And what is the different with Item Master Data -> Planning Data -> Minimum Order Qty ??
    Thank you very much!!!

    Dear All,
    Thank you for your reply.
i found something strange for the MRP, it is as the following:
    at 06.11.2009, i have created 1 SO : SO123
    qty: 150
    due date: 10.11.2009
for the Minimum Order Qty in Planning Data: 200
    Lead time: 2 days
when i run MRP, it can show at 10.11.2009, qty 200 is needed to be purchase (it match the Minimum Order Qty in Planning Data:200)
But when i set the lead time to be 10 days), it only show at 10.11.2009, qty 150 is needed (in red font).
Question: seems if the date for the material to arrive (06.11.2009+10 days = 16.11.2009, which is excess the due date of the SO 10.11.2009) is over the due date (10.11.2009) then the MRP will just show qty150 instead of showing qty 200 (the Minimum Order Qty) ? so after that when create the PO by using Order Recommendation Report, it qty in the PO is 150 only, but not 200.
is it how the MRP in B1 works?
    thank you very much!!

  • Item Master Data Creation - Statuses

    Greetings,
My client is looking for best practice - status naming conventions for Item Master Data Creation Process. They are in the Specialized Retail Industry and have internal naming conventions and want to align more with Industry Standards.  Their process has 3 staging areas - 1st - Baseline Master Data, 2nd - Internal Enrichment, 3rd - Item Master Complete - item master is now ready to be used  to build offers.
    thanks!
    MC

Hi Mir - thanks for taking time to respond.  I think my question might have been confusioning. Its process related.  The client starts creating their item master with a minimal amount of information required to create a PO- (stage1 - example status would be "Available to Procure") the master then gets enriched with more internal information such as classifications and attributes to be consumed by other business areas and down stream processes specific to their business - such as building an offer for Web or TV (stage2 - example status would be "Available to Build Offer").  Client is looking for advice on what to name Stage 1 and Stage 2 status
    Any thoughts?

  • Translation of UoM in Item Master Data

    Hi all,
    Problem:
Our customer uses multi-language support. In the item master data they use the purchasing and sales UoM which is printed on the marketing documents. For example "ST" in German corresponds to "pc" in French (piece). They need to go into each item one by one and enter the translation even if the UoM is always the same.
    Possible solution:
A table behind the UoM field so that you can select from a drop down list. You would then need to translate each entry in the table just once.
    Best regards,
    Gunther

    How do I reward points?
I posted a thread and marked it as a question. Several people replied and gave me useful advice. I'd like to reward points. What do I do?
If you designated your thread as a question and are satisfied with one or more of the responses received, you may award points according to the following scheme:
    Designation ................. Point Value
    Solved My Problem..........10
    Very Helpful ...................... 6
    Helpful .............................2
To award points, go to your user profile and select the relevant thread from the list of Recent Messages. Click on the hyperlinked title. You will be directed to a page that shows all the responses to your original post.
Click on the star icon next to the response for which you wish to reward points. A popup window will appear. Use the radio buttons to mark a response "Solved My Problem," "Very Helpful," or "Helpful."
You are allowed to grant only one 10 point "Solved My Problem" award and one six point "Very Helpful" award, so evaluate all the replies carefully. You may designate an unlimited number of two point "Helpful" awards.

  • Dead Space in Employee Master Data form?

Hi all. I am having a very difficult time placing sap and user defined objects on the Administration Panel in the Employee Master data form. I am referencing SBO objects but my objects are not being placed where I specify. It's as if there is an invisible object in the center of the Panel that randomly pushes other objects out of the way.
Has anyone else run across this? Any suggestions are deeply appreciated.
