IView and system admin objects appear changed or not registered when transported

Recently we moved a few objects - iViews, pages and roles as epa and system admin objects as config archive and imported them manually to Test system. But when checked in the next landscape, the iView properties appear different. Eg. In Development system, the iView was unchecked for visibility option i.e. iView should not be visible. But when transported to test system, the property was checked and gave error. On reimporting, the same thing happened and we had to manually correct the property. This is not an expected behaviour and manual changes are not to happen after development changes.
Similarly, though config archive import showed the 2 new system objects in the respective location of Test system, the expected functionality was not working. I checked this by deleting one of them and manually creating the same entry and it worked fine. So I also had to delete the 2nd one and create a manual entry. The system admin objects we used pertained to System Configuration --> Content Mgmt--> Form Based Publishing --> Forms Availablity --> Folder Settings
We also moved kmcs and they are reflecting properly with correct folder permissions.
We don't understand why this is so occurring (iView and system admin entry appearing different or not getting registered )and never experienced such a case in previous projects. We don't want to face the issue going forward when transporting changes to staging and Prod systems.
Please assist as to what went wrong or any probable cause and solution for same.

I checked previous discussions on Address Book problems and there was a suggestion to find Library in GO. I do not see Library when I clicl Go. Can someone advise on this?

To migrate your data to a new iCloud account go to Settings>iCloud and turn off all synced data (contacts, calendars, etc.), when prompted choose to keep the data on your phone. After everything is set to off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. Next, create the new iCloud account on your phone and turn on syncing for contacts, calendars, etc again. If prompted, choose Merge. This will upload your data to the new iCloud account.

IF it is a manufacturing defect and you bought the device from Apple or an authorized Apple retailer, then take it into Apple.

Crizzo is right, the best way to charge is with the included power block. That said, the USB cords are interchangable as far as an of us know. (just not power bricks, iPhone and iPod bricks put out 5W of power, the iPad wants 10W and will always say 'not charging' if plugged into less power than it requires even though it will charge, just very slowly)
If you have tried to charge your iPad - with the iPad charger - with multiple cables and multiple computers and get no joy then it's time to head to the apple store and have them check it out. The 30 pin USB port can go bad - mine did - and it's a manufacturer's defect (unless there's any sort of obvious damage) and should be covered under the warranty;

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer

I'm trying to configure the Business Package for Dispute Management.
However I'm getting the following error when changing a dispute in the portal.
There is no iView available for system "SAP_ERP_DisputeManagement": object "dispute_case". For more information, contact your administrator.
I have looked in the PCD and the object dispute_case is not available. How can I get this object. I thought is was part of the business package for Dispute Management: BPERPDPM08_0-10006118.SCA

We have enhancement pack 4 active in the ERP System. The portal is running on 7.01 SP6.
But the Business Object should be in the Business Package not in de ERP system, isn't it?

System Admin Root Appears!

OK, I haven't seen this posted anywhere but this freaked me out this morning.
I have two accounts on my P'Book G4 under OS 10.4.8. One business, one personal, to keep things separate. I switch between them regularly. I usually have them both logged in and use fast user switching.
A couple of years ago, I enabled a root System Admin account, assigned a known password to it, used it to conduct some clean up on the HDD, and then, disabled it. It hasn't been used since.
This morning, I woke the 'Book up from slumber and logged on and to my surprise - lo and behold - in the toolbar list up top were not only my two accounts but a System Administrator account. This account was not logged in at the time but I was pretty surprised to see it in the list.
I clicked it to log in so I could see what was up and how about that - my known password for root accounts would not work. Nor would any of my other known passwords.
I quickly opened NetInfo Manager and disabled the root user. I logged off, restarted and presto - no Sys Admin account listed (at this time).
Has anyone experienced this? This seems extremely odd to me and I must say, I just don't like it.
Are there any guesses as to why this may be happening?
Can I prohibit this from re-occurring?

Has anyone else had physical access to your computer, along with the OS X installation disk(s)? If so, they could have used the disk to enable the root account and set a different password, using the password reset utility.
The most important protection for your computer is always physical security. It is not a good idea to leave your computer unattended, and an even worse idea to do so in the presence of the installation disks.
If there is no chance that this has occurred, there may be some problem with your Netinfo Database (it happens). Keep an eye on things, and if it occurs again, you might want to consider replacing the Netinfo Database (a relatively painless procedure). In the meantime, I recommend that you use your installation disk to reset the root password to one you know, and make it a good one. As always, leave the root accout disabled when you are done.

Text in layout and preview screens are different and CSS changes are not registering

I am new to designing web sites and I am using GoLive CS. Things have been going pretty smoothly, but now I have noticed a problem. When laying out my site pages, I am having problems with the text. I have inserted a layout text box and created a general CSS for my main content.
I have selected 11 px for my font size and 14 px for my line height. But when I make any changes to these values, the chages appear in my layout view, but when I preview the spacing is off (the line height is extremely tight). Why is this and how can I fix it? Also no matter what text I type, the layout view and the preview view are always off, is there any way to fix this?

Hi Kim - layout view is there just to give you an approximation of where things are in your layout, not a reliable representation of how it will be rendered in the browser. Actually, same goes for Preview. In your layout/design, you have to allow for some variance in font size and presentation since the site will be viewed on multiple platforms, browsers, environments, etc. You can get close by specifying font and line height in pixels, as you have, but it's still just "close".
If your layout relies heavily on absolutely positioned elements (Layers, Grids, etc.) then this can become a problem... one of the big reasons to avoid both.

Changes are not reflected when objects transported from Quality to Productn

In case of moving some Transport requests from Quality to Production, some times the changes made to the selection screen of a report program doesn't reflect in Production. Also we don't see any Transport error while transporting. Moreover, we can see the changes by regenerating the Program in production.
Would any one help me out in this with the reason for this.
Pls suggest what needs to be done.

- I have checked the respective transport too, and every thing seems to be fine.
- Recently we went to go live, for the next release, so earlier before go live, we didnt faced any proble.. Only now we are facing this problem, that we find the changes relating to selection screen are not reflected when the object / prog is moved from qty to Prd.
- Only problem is with the selection screen.(not getting reflected in PRD. In Qty we are able to see those changes.
- Then in order to reflect these changes in PRD, we have to re generate the object, then only it get s updated..

When I external edit an aperture photo using Photoshop Elements 9 and then get out, the changes are not reflected in Aperture when I return - this used to work for me but doesn't seem to have for some time - help please?

Have used Aperture for some time - at some point this stopped working - not sure when
workflow:
click photo and elect to use the external editor (Photoshop Elements 9)
Copy of the photo is created in Aperture with the "O" badge and I am rolled out to Photoshop
Have to change the type to 8-bit in Photoshop to start making changes
When done and I exit I am prompted to save the photo
On returning to Aperture however the "O" badged photo does not get updated/reflect my changes
Other Things:
I can find a changed photo sitting in the Aperture Library using finder or Photoshop itself - so I know changes have been made a new file saved (TIFF).
I am wondering if I am missing some (new) preference such that the changes are not proerly being saved for re-display/storage in the Aperture Library
I am running Lion OSX at the moment but the behaviour was the same under Snow Lepoard versions.
Current version of Aperture is 3.1.3, Elements is 9.0
Any help/suggestions greatfully received

Try using psd. Some rerports indicate some confustion between the apps with TIFF. See:

Now MacBook Pro 17" early 2011 built May onward do not have this problem it was fixed in the Intel's 6 Series Chipset. (So there is a problem). Cam I have my MacBook Pro fixed please.

After biting the bullet and ordering more RAM, my computer now is working a ton better. So that must have been the main issue. With 8 GB RAM, I can now even run Parallels fluidly (better than my work PC!) where before simple things like logging in to my MBP after reboot could take forever.
The place I went to had several other people getting RAM upgrades at the same time as me, so between this and other comments I've seen in discussions here and elsewhere on the Internets, I take it to mean that either Apple should bump up the base RAM on its new machines, and/or stop charging so much for additional RAM.
I refused to believe a Pro machine bought with Lion installed would come with too little RAM for light to medium usage, but it was apparently the case. I'll mark this as a correct answer and hope some other poor soul will come across this thread and be helped by it.

Are all these songs associated with the same Apple ID or were some purchased on another account?
Are they tagged properly? In the library does it break an album out into several different albums with a few tracks each?
Check your sync settings for each device. Do you accidentally have only certain songs/albums syncing?
