JBO-30011 on running JClient Applet for ADF (10g)

After starting an (JClient) Applet created using "Swing/JClient for ADF" for an existing BC4J project following exception is thrown on startup:
oracle.jbo.common.ampool.ApplicationPoolException: JBO-30011: A null session cookie application id, session id, or application pool reference (null, null, bcpackage.AppModuleLocal) was specified during cookie construction. The cookie could not be constructed.

Generated forms or panels are working well. Does anybody have the same problem ?

I believe my problem is that the jbo.ampool.minavailablesize is higher than the normal load on the system. This is stopping app modules to be removed once the jbo.ampool.maxinactiveage time is reached, therefore the only time an AM is removed is when the jbo.ampool.timetolive limit is reached.
e.g.
* 35 users log into the application in the morning. The AM pool contains 35 AM's
* GC on the pool happens. If an AM has reached the jbo.ampool.maxinactiveage then they will not be removed because it would mean that the pool (currently 35) drops below the jbo.ampool.minavailablesize (50)
* GC happens again and the jbo.ampool.timetolive threshold is now reached on all AM's so they are all removed from the pool.

  • Request for ADF 10g books and reference materials

    Hi All,
    I currently have a requirement to develop ADF application using the SOA Suite 10.1.3
    Can anybody suggest any good book or reference materials for ADF BC application development in jdeveloper 10g?
    Thanks in advance.
    Best Regards,
    Justin

    Thanks for the prompt reply. The DataBindings.cpx page is unchanged entirely; the pageDefs have the following (presumably normal) changes:
    - "version" in the "pageDefinition" tag changed from 10.x to 11.1.1.x
    - All iterators have an additional attribute: Refresh = "ifNeeded"
    - All actions have their Action attribute changed from a number to a string, eg. 'Action = "100"' becomes 'Action = "commitTransaction"'
    What confuses me the most is that the number of rows is correct, but the data is not there -- neither in the attributes nor in the iteration variable "row."

  • Error while running JClient in Oracle JDeveloper 10g (Windows XP)

    Hi,
    I am a new user to JDeveloper. I was trying to build the application using the tutorial by Oracle at:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/obe_as_1012/j2ee/develop/client/jclient/lesson_jclient.htm
    But when I tried running the MainForm.java, it is giving an error:
    (oracle.jbo.JboException) JBO-29000: Unexpected exception caught: java.lang.NullPointerException, msg=null
    Can anyone help me solving this.... Also where can I find the materials to create an application using BC4J and JClient. Any good books to refer ???
    Regards

    Hi,
    Thanks for the reply.
    Yeah, I am able to run all the Module from the Model. The error is coming when I am trying to run the View. Either running directly from view or individual Java file, in both cases getting the same error:
    (oracle.jbo.JboException) JBO-29000: Unexpected exception caught: java.lang.NullPointerException, msg=null

  • Auto suggest  AJAX component for ADF 10g: source code needed

    Dear all,
    Duncan Mills has posted a very useful article in http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/tips/mills/ajaxautosuggest/ajaxautosuggest.html about how to incoroporate an AJAX iput text field that can operate like Google search. This components derives from Sun Java blueprints.
    The URL to download the jar of this component is [http://otn.oracle.com/products/jdev/tips/mills/AjaxAutoSuggest/textfield.jar|http://otn.oracle.com/products/jdev/tips/mills/AjaxAutoSuggest/textfield.jar]
    I have managed to incorporate it in my ADF pages, but to my disappointment, this component does not work well with non-english character set.
    I have verified this from a Sun forum thread at [http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=787270&tstart=0|http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=787270&tstart=0]
    The jar file contains only the class files. Does anybody have the source code so I can amend it to work with UTF-8 charactes?
    My email is [email protected]
    Thanks
    Dimitris

    I have tried it, but when I create a tag library out of the Sun bluprint components, all my ADF pages display an error message that the JSF core tag laibraries are not installed

  • How to run an applet with .java files in 2 dirrerent directories ?

    I have an applet with :
    5 .java class files and its .html file in one directory and
    2 .java class files ( with identical names) and its .html file in another directory .
    How do I go about executing this applet ? In the past all the applets
    I have run had all the classes in one directory.
    Thank you in advance

    If you want them both in the same page, put both applet tags in 1 page,
    I could do that but both directories have a SpaceDunes.class
    and both directories have a Shot class (diffferent immplementations
    but the same name)
    so the applet tag
    <APPLET CODE="SpaceDunes.class"
    CODE="SpaceDunes.class"
    This can't be the right approach ? ?
    Thank you for your advice

    My dear colleague, You better consider asking this question in Jdeveloper forum.
    I have a simple code for Windows application. You can easily convert it into Applet application..
    import java.awt.*;
    import java.awt.event.*;
    import java.sql.*;
    import oracle.jdbc.*;
    import oracle.sql.*;
    public class QueryFrame extends Frame {
    TextField inputText;
    public QueryFrame() {
    super("Query Interface");
    setSize(450, 250);
    addWindowListener(new WindowAdapter() {
    public void windowClosing(WindowEvent e) {
    System.exit(0);
    ActionListener printListener = new ActionListener() {
    public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent ae) {
    ConnectAndRun(inputText.getText());
    Panel toolbar = new Panel();
    toolbar.setLayout(new FlowLayout(FlowLayout.LEFT));
    Button queryButton = new Button("Run Query");
    queryButton.addActionListener(printListener);
    toolbar.add(queryButton);
    inputText = new TextField(14);
    toolbar.add(inputText);
    // The "preferred" BorderLayout add call
    add(toolbar, BorderLayout.NORTH);
    public static void main(String args[]) {
    QueryFrame tf1 = new QueryFrame();
    tf1.setVisible(true);
         public void ConnectAndRun(String s)
              String sqlquery;
              if (s.equals(""))
              sqlquery ="select * from DEPT where LOC is null";
              else
              sqlquery ="select * from DEPT where LOC like '" + s + "'";
              System.out.println(sqlquery);
              try
              DriverManager.registerDriver (new oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver());
         Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection ("jdbc:oracle:thin:@localhost:1521:HELLO","scott","tiger");
         Statement stmt = conn.createStatement ();
              ResultSet rset = stmt.executeQuery (sqlquery);
              while (rset.next ())
                   System.out.println( rset.getInt("DEPTNO"));
                   System.out.println( rset.getString("DNAME"));
                   System.out.println (rset.getString("LOC"));
              rset.close();

  • JClient for ADF "Delete" not working : JBO-26080

    I created a sample JClient form.
    It connects to a MS Access DB, and I can scroll thru the data using the navigation bar.I can also insert data. I am failing to delete data : "(oracle.jbo.DMLException) JBO-26080: Error while selecting entity for CombinedAddresses". In the business components of JDeveloper I choose SQL Flavor to be "SQL92", and Type Map to "Java". I have tried various combinations of SQL Flavor. I am not sure if the problem is that or the way the "ConmbinedAddresses" view was created.
    Any help or ideas ?
    Thanks

    sorry, I meant to post this in Jdevelper forum.

  • GC most appropriate for 200 MS Terminal Sessions running large Applet

    We are load testing a J2EE application using a tool called App Loader. The client for this J2EE application is a large applet which runs from 60 mb of jars. We are running the applet in IE 6 on W2k3 X64 Enterprise in each of 200 Terminal Sessions on a 16 Core 2.4 Ghz server with 128Gb RAM. We have the following JVM parameters for the clients -Xrs -Xms128m -Xmx128m -XX\:+DisableExplicitGC.
    We are experiencing what appears to be missed mouse clicks on various gui objects that rmi to server. This occurs during a one hour run to approximately 20% of our clients. These clients eventually timeout after 120 seconds and die in the App Loader tool. We have seen some improvement in failure rates by coding +DisableExplicitGC.which suppressed a Full GC every 60 seconds apparently explicitly called by  RMI.
    The GC logs appear to show the serial collector:
    0.450: [GC 0.451: [DefNew: 8128K->960K(9088K), 0.0139519 secs] 8128K->1424K(130112K), 0.0140565 secs]

  • Problem of running rmi applet and client for Javacard 3.0.2 Connected

    Need help for running rmi application for Java Card 3.0.2 connected version. I am trying to move a working rmi applet & client from 3.0.2 Classic version to Connected version. Then I found that they are so different and I have no idea how to run my application :(
    Here are what I have done:
    - I have modified the Classic HelloWorld applet to an rmi applet. It is OK when I build and run the application in netbeans. The Applet can be selected successfully.
    My problems are:
    - How to connect a rmi client to the rmi applet? Here are what I have done:
    + Run rmi applet in netbeans
    + Run 'rmic' command to generate stub
    + Run rmiregistry outside of netbeans
    + Build and run rmi client application outside of netbeans by typing "ant all"
    However, the rmi client was not able to connect to the applet:
    [java] java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect
    Would this be a problem of netbeans? Could someone tell me how to run rmi applet/client within or outside netbeans. Thanks a lot!

    Well finally I figured out that CREF-emulators (from JCDK 2.2.1, 2.2.2, 3.0.1 classic) do not support cryptographic extensions at all.
    BUT JCWDE(from JCDK 2.2.1, 2.2.2) - support, but this kind of simulator quite hard to use, because it does not have state between launches.
    About CJCRE(from JCDK 3.0.1 connected) - still don't know, seems not support cryptographic extensions.

    Hi Frank thanks for responding,
    I actually figured it out. I thinkt he problem was that the VO didnt not have a primary key to reference a specific row and was throwing an error. I used ROWID and it works fine now.
    Thank you.

    1 machine will hold model project

  • How can i create datasource on apache server for ADF application?

    Hi All,
    i my use case i have created simple adf application using ADF BC and want to deploy on Apache server 6.x.
    So my question is that  how can i create Data Source i have goggling and find  two different way to do this.
    1. write following line of code on apache server conf/Context.xml file.
    <Resource name="jdbc/TestDB" auth="Container"
                  type="javax.sql.DataSource"
                   driverClassName="oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver"
                  url="jdbc:oracle:thin:@localhost:dst"
                  username="jagrandb" password="jagrantest" maxActive="20" maxIdle="10"
                  maxWait="-1"/>
    but when i have used this way i got following exception.
    org.apache.tomcat.dbcp.dbcp.PoolingDataSource$PoolGuardConnectionWrapper cannot be cast to oracle.jdbc.OracleConnection
    check link-
    https://forums.oracle.com/thread/2564233
    2. write following line of code apache conf/Server.xml file
    <GlobalNamingResources>
        <!-- Editable user database that can also be used by
             UserDatabaseRealm to authenticate users
        -->
        <Resource name="UserDatabase" auth="Container"
                  type="org.apache.catalina.UserDatabase"
                  description="User database that can be updated and saved"
                  factory="org.apache.catalina.users.MemoryUserDatabaseFactory"
                  pathname="conf/tomcat-users.xml" />
    <Resource name="jdbc/TestDB" auth="Container"
                  type="oracle.jdbc.pool.OracleDataSource"
                  description="User database that can be updated and saved"
                  driverClassName="oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver"
                  factory="oracle.jdbc.pool.OracleDataSourceFactory"
                  url="jdbc:oracle:thin:@//172.31.43.207:1521:dst"
                  username="jagrandb" password="jagrantest" maxActive="20" maxIdle="10"
                  maxWait="-1"   />
      </GlobalNamingResources>
    and add this line in context.xml file inside <context> tag
    <ResourceLink global="jdbc/TestDB" name="jdbc/TestDB" type="oracle.jdbc.pool.OracleDataSource"/>
    but when i have run application i have got following error

    What is the problem ?
    Please suggest solution for it?
    Its urgent

    I am trying to run the Applet in Tomcat server,
    Could you post the code where you invoke the Applet? It sounds like you're saying you're trying to run the Applet as part of your server-side code. The other interpretation is that you are simply accessing the Applet through the browser that happens to be on the machine being used as the server.
    Like I say, post the code that shows how you're trying to use the Applet "on the server".

  • Why cant i run my applet on JRE 1.6 but on JRE 1.5?

    Hello,
    I know this is a very basic problem, but i still cannot get a justified answer for this problem. Its like i have an applet which is compiled in JDk j2sdk1.4.2_16. Now when i try to run this applet on my IE under jre 1.5.* family on all the client machines it works fine. But when i switch to jre 1.6.* family, i see the applet being displayed, but i cannot perform any operations on it i no mouse clicks work and i cannot open any file menu or my jdialog boxes.
    Is it because of the incompatibilities in jre 1.6, but wont it be backward compatible to that older version applets can run on this new jre. My applet seems to be a simple applet,with only one exception that it has lot of jframes and jpanel in it.
    This problem is killing me ..
    Can someone point me towards where can i find what all changes are made in JRE 1.6 over JRE 1.5 so that atleast i can compare what is causing my applet freeze in JRE 1.6.
    i went through the release notes but cant find anything useful there.
    Please help.

    Sun ensures that newer versions of the JRE are backward compatible. Your applet should work under the newest JRE version. Have you tried running the applet in a different browser (e.g., Firefox) with JRE 1.6 to eliminate it being an IE issue?
