JES Access Manager User Creation for Messanger

Hi Everyone
I installed JES 2005 Q4 on Solaris 10 x86 with schema 2 and Access Manager 7. The Directory Tree is as follows:
Sol1.nucleussoftware.com:389
dc=nucleussoftware,dc=com (34 acis)
DSAME Users
Internet
People
Groups
Client Data
services
nucleussoftware.com
People
Groups
o=Netscape Root (3 acis)
cn=Schema (6 acis)
cn=monitor (5 acis)
cn=config (4 acis)
Organization DN when I ran "configutil" after running comm_dssetup.pl, was specified o=nucleussoftware,dc=nucleussoftware,dc=com
This is fresh installation and not any migration.
Now I create user from Access Manager, http://sol1.nucleussoftware.com/amserver
There are two organizations 1. Nucleussoftware and 2. Nucleussoftware->nucleussoftware.com
So I have two locations to create users in People.
When I create user from Access Manager and try to login into WebMail, I get Login Failed.
But when I open "startconsole" or "mpsconsole" and open Messaging Server Console and in new user's property, Account Attribute, I mark the check box, and now try to login into WebMail, I get error message, "Mailbox is on a different server".
I am missing one attribute that I used to get with schema 1 on iPlanet 5.2 for any user, Mail Server Address.
Please tell me the exact method of creating a user for Messaging.
Regards
Amit Bist

Access Manager was never intended to create working mail users. The Delegated Admin package is provided as part of JES, and that's what it is for, to manage users and groups. There's both a web interface, and a command-line interface, "commadmin"
Or, you can examine the ldap entries for the automatically created accounts, and duplicate that. Messaging doesn't really care how the ldap entries get done, just so that they are done correctly.

Download the fee iBooks app from the app store if you don't already have it.  Then download the .pdf here: iPad User Guide (For iOS 5.1 Software).  Next, import it to your iTunes library (iTunes>File>Add to Library).  Then sync it to your iPad by selecting it on the Books tab of your iTunes sync settings and syncing your iPad.  It will availble in iBooks in the PDFs section (tap Collections on the top left, then tap PDF's).

  • Authorization for User Creation for Admin user

    Dear All,
    We have Cronacle 6.0.2.
We have a requirement where in we want to create an admin user with all access to Redwood (in order to avoid using SYSJCS). We have and created an admin role with which our criteria is almost met. After assigning this admin role to our newly created admin user, everything work except user & role authorization. I am not able to create, delete or alter any user or role with this user.
I have seen that we have the oracle system privileges related to user and role authorization (create user, alter role, etc), but when we are trying to assign the same to the admin user, its not allowing us to do so. We have tried the assignment using sysjcs from both RWE and from the shell using the SYJCS, RSI users.
How can I achieve this? with which user?
Any pointers on this would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help.
    Warm Regards
    Rajeet

    Hi Rajeet,
This is because SYSJCS has the privileges to create users and roles in the database, but not the right to actually give out these privileges to other users.
For that, you need a user with the DBA role in the database, or with the "create user" and "create role" privileges "with admin option". A user with the admin option on a privilege can hand out this privilege to other users.
If you don't have any own users with these privileges yet, the SYSTEM user will work as well.
    Regards,
    Anton.

  • Domain users creation for BizTalk server 2013 installation

    Hi all,
I am setting up biztalk 2013 environment clustered BizTalk server and single sql server. I would like to know the list of domain users and domain groups to be created and which groups these users to be a member of. I am also installing and would be using
    Sharepoint to develop BizTalk interfaces.
    Thanks
    Please Help
    Vikram

    Hi Vikram ,
You need to create below Windows group on your AD before you start your BizTalk  Configuration .
1)SSO Administrators:Administrator of the Enterprise Single Sign-On (SSO) service.
2)SSO Affiliate Administrators :Administrators of certain SSO affiliate applications. Can create/delete SSO affiliate applications, administer user mappings, and set credentials for affiliate application users.
3)BizTalk Server Administrators:Has the least privileges necessary to perform administrative tasks Can deploy solutions, manage applications, and resolve message processing issues.
To perform administrative tasks for adapters, receive and send handlers, and receive locations, the BizTalk Server Administrators must be added to the Single Sign-On Affiliate Administrators.
4)BizTalk Server Operators:Has a low privilege role with access only to monitoring and troubleshooting actions
    5) BizTalk Application Users:The default name of the first In-Process BizTalk Host Group created by Configuration Manager.Use one BizTalk Host Group for each In-Process host in your environment.Includes accounts with access to In-Process
BizTalk Hosts (hosts processes in BizTalk Server, BTSNTSvc.exe).
6)BizTalk Isolated Host Users :The default name of the first Isolated BizTalk Host Group created by Configuration Manager. Isolated BizTalk hosts not running on BizTalk Server, such as HTTP and SOAP.Use one BizTalk Isolated Host Group for
each Isolated Host in your environment.
7)BAM Portal Users :Has access to BAM Portal Web site.
8)BizTalk SharePoint Adapter Enabled Hosts :Has access to Windows SharePoint Services Adapter Web Service
9)BizTalk B2B Operators Group : A new BizTalk role that reduces the onus on the Administrators to perform all Party management operation. This role allows windows users associated with the role to perform all party management operations.
Now coming to domain User , you can have single -multiple setting were you can run SSO ,InProcess and Isolated on different domain user  .  You can also run all the configuration settings on single user as well .
    Thanks

Please help me with the procedure for creation of users to log into the webshop.
    Regards,
    Sumit

    Hi Sumit,
I think it should be the same one for shopadmin/admin/xcm/init.do, XCM user.
The XCM user is the J2EE visual admin user. J2EE guys know how to create this user based on relevent document, and this has to be done on J2EE server. :P
Usually, the default user is Administrator with password blank. It maight be different for each J2EE version.

  • Read only user creation for Oracle EM Console 11.1.1.5

    Dear All.
I have created Read only user for Oracle EM Console.
I have followed below link to do the same
    http://moshe-soa.blogspot.com/2011/09/blog-post.html.
I have noticed with read only user is that TEST button in EM Console is active means user with read only user can create a trans, in Prod scenario it is a risk.
Raised a CR with Oracle and found that it is a bug
Bug 14082464 - CANNOT DISABLE TEST/TEST WEB SERVICE BUTTON IN SOA EM COSOLE is there in Metalink.
So my question is there any way by which i can disable the TEST button in EM Conasole.
I think there are some WLST script or servlet java class available to resolve this issue.
Can any one confirm this and please suggest if any one aware of any alternative method.
    Thanks,

Hi, have you got any solution to this problem? I am having exact the same issue in 11.1.1.6.

  • Oracle Access Manager User Status

    Hi Experts,
We have integrated OIM 9.1.0.3 and OAM 10.1.4.3 for SSO via form based authentication.
User is directed to login page, after valid credential he is redirected to OIM.
    It is working fine...
Usecase is for disabled user. If user is disable in OIM/OID I want show a message to user about his status.
I tried setting orclIsEnable attribute as headerVar/Cookie but not able to read it...
    Please Help...
    Thanks in advance....

    Hi,
If the user is disabled in OID, OAM just returns an authentication failure without any more reason - you won't see the header because OAM only sets header variables (with attributes) for logged in users. If you need extra information above authentication failure, then you will need to make another check in ldap - you could do this outside OAM or by using a custom authentication plugin.

    Colin

  • Automating user creation for Unity Connection when sync'd with LDAP

    Hi
Is it possible to automatically create users that sync with unity connection?
I have a unity connection 7.0 server that is sync'd with LDAP and i use a ldap filter so that only users with a specific attribute are sync'd. I can see the users when i try to do an import but is there anyway that they can automatically be created

    No
Check this check box so that Cisco Unity Connection gets basic information on Connection users from the LDAP directories that you specify on the LDAP Directory page. Data is synchronized only for the Connection users that you created by importing users from the LDAP directory. Connection does not automatically create new Connection users when new users are added to the LDAP directory.

Kindly let us know how to proceed further as we are waiiting some reply from your team.As I already advised in your previous posting (http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5359095), you are best off re-installing solaris from scratch and installing Communication Suite 6 update 1 if you cannot get Access Manager 7.1 configured.

  • HELP GETTING Started with Sun Access Manager without TEARS.

I am new to Sun Access Manager.
I am quite familiar with how Sun Java Identity Manager works.
The following is the issue I am facing.
I've downloaded the following images from the sun website
    java_es_05Q4-ga1-solaris-x86-1-iso
    and
    java_es_05Q4-ga1-solaris-x86-2-iso
I've installed the components on sun solaris 10
    The following components were installed
    /opt/SUNWcomds
I am not sure what this is for
    /opt/SUNWdsvmn
I am not sure what it is.
    /opt/SUNWma
What is this I was expecting SUNWam the access management software!
/opt/SUNWwbsvr -- This is the Web Server.
I know how to use it.
Can anyone tell me on how to go about it?
Is there any online tutorial for the same.
What is the difference between sparc version and x86. Can i use any of these on solaris 10?
Anyhelp getting started would be highly appreciated.
I am looking at doing the following things.
    ssl,fed, auth, custauth etc
    Thanks a ton in Advance.
    Regards,
    Vinod

I documented my installation procedure for Access Manager 7.0 (2005Q4) and Portal 7.0. Take a look at my wiki page:
    http://wiki.its.queensu.ca/display/JES/Access+Manager+installation
It's a two node Access manager Legacy site and I also implemented session-failover using Message Queue and Berkeley Database.
