JIMI 1.0 causes JVM to stop with status 129 under Linux

Hello,
I'm using JIMI 1.0 for manipulating JPEG-images in my web-application. Each time the servlet is performing this manipulation, the JVM stopps with status 129 (this is, what the bash is telling me) after a few seconds.
The image itself seems to be ok, cause the Browser is able to display the response of the servlet. The response itself is written into a ServletOutputStream.
Sending a JPEG without manipulation works well.
First the JVM was missing the symbol-font:
"Font specified in font.properties not found [--symbol-medium-r-normal--*-%d-*-*-p-*-adobe-fontspecific]"
I installed a symbol.ttf from the internet and thought, this will solve the problem - but not! Only this message didn't appear any longer, but the JVM still stopps.
Webserver-Configuration:
SUSELinux 9.2 Prof. = Linux(2.6.24-default)
JVM 1.3.1
tomcat 4.1.31
JIMI 1.0
RAM: 192 MB
I'm just started to work with Linux, so I'm not quite sure, that my System is well configured, cause with a Win98-system this problem didn't occur.
This issue prevents my project from starting and I really want to get over it!
Thank you in advance.

Thank your for the reply.
It seems to be just DNS, but I can't be sure - no time to test this on a production system. Pings to internet IP's work.
For instance, manually setting 8.8.8.8 DNS on a machine behind the NAT doesn't work, but ping 8.8.8.8 works fine.
Version seems to be one of the older mainline 12.4 releases.

I wonder if doing a no ip flow ingress on WAN interface has any adverse effects. Been testing it for a day, found none yet.
If it's just a weird bug of an old IOS release, I guess we'll never know

I was in the middle of updating to 7.0.3 and Itunes stopped working. Now my phone is stuck in limbo (apple logo with status bar under) My power button doesnt work (of course) How do I get it back to normal?

I have same issue. I click on the home button and Wake/sleep at the same time for 30 seconds or more and then the phone entered in Recovery mode. It is erasing my content now and installing the update. Let´s see how this ends. I have iCloud, iTunes match, and backups from previos versions, hope I can restore all my content.
Otherwise I´ll go to the Genius Bar to do a checkup.
    Good luck!
It did not work the first time... The iPhone4 kept in limbo. Then I did disconnect as suggested above and tried again to enter in Recovery mode.  This second time it works. And after restoring the iPhone4 with 7.0.3, it asked me if I want to recover from backup. I did recover from my latest back up and now it is syncing the content.

    Hi,
The status 30 of IDOC, status text u201EIDOC is ready for dispatching (ALE service)". Internally, the constant ALE_READY_FOR_DISPATCHING represents this status.
    Processing Selected Intermediate Documents  -->
Use program RSEOUT00 to start processing all selected intermediate documents.
You need to check your ALE settings for that error. test the proxy mannualy using payload.
Then you will come to know wheather your proxy works fine or not.
Go to SPROXY --> Select Your SERVICE INTERFACE --> clikc on TEST button or Press F8 --> provide your payload and check the result.

    Gunti

I am using Cups 1.6.2, kernel 3.5.3, KDE 4.9 (if it makes any difference). I tried downloading the Lexmark drivers from the web, no joy. In fact, after being prompted to plug in the printer to the computer, the driver installation seems to freeze (it does not respond to me connecting the printer via USB).
I also tried adding through Cups web interface, same thing. The "state" says "stopped: filter failed".
    Any help?

    Bump?

  • Problem with inifile.fp under Linux

    Hello all,
I noticed a problem with inifile.fp under Linux: I can't write the updated
    ini file !
    hConfigFile = Ini_New(0);
    if (Ini_ReadFromFile (hConfigFile, ConfigPath));
    Ini_GetInt(hConfigFile, "Client", "ChartsRefreshRate", &ChartsRefreshRate);
    Ini_GetInt(hConfigFile, "Client", "ChartsDuration", &ChartsDuration);
    .... Change the values ...
    Ini_PutInt(hConfigFile, "Client", "ChartsRefreshRate", ChartsRefreshRate);
    Ini_PutInt(hConfigFile, "Client", "ChartsDuration", ChartsDuration);
    if (0!=(Err=Ini_WriteToFile (hConfigFile, ConfigPath)))
    fprintf(stderr, "\nWarning: problem writing %s configuration files: %s",
    ConfigPath, GetUILErrorString(Err));
    This fails and displays:
Warning: problem writing Config.ini configuration files: File not found
But not only that, it also deletes the ConfigPath file !!!
    Which is rather unacceptable !
I see that the inifile.fp I have on the PC (CVI 8.5) is different than the
one I have on the Linux install (cvicc 8.0). Can I copy all the inifile.*
files to Linux or is it more complicated than that ?
    Guillaume Dargaud
    http://www.gdargaud.net/

    Hello Luis,
I came here to check if a new version of CVI (cvicc, not the real-time
module) for Linux had come out and, sadly, it appears that's still not the
    case...
But I saw your followup to our original discussion.
The ini file has grown tremendously since then, but I think I had the
problem with even the most basic file: simple name (same directory, no
path), but maybe it was on an NFS directory (that's no longer the case).
Also the fact that instead of writting _in_ the file (where permission was
allowed) you wrote to a temp file (that may not have had permission) and
    then renamed accordingly...
I'll start a new project soon that will require ini files, so I'll test it
    again.

  • BDOC stops with status ready

    Hi
I am replicating campaigns from CRM to PS. Now as I release the campaign BDOC is triggered and goes to backend ECC system. But after replication BDOC comes and stops in inbound queue of CRM with status ready. When I goto SMQ2 and unlock it, it flows through.
This problem I am facing for all campaigns transfered not for any specific one.
Please help me in resolving this issue.
    Thanx in advance.
    Cheers
    Hits

    Hi,
This happens because the Queues are not registered.
In SMQ2, note the first 3 cahracters of the queue, e.g, R3A or CSA.
Now goto SMQR and see if any Queue exists with this name like R3A* or CSA*.
If it does, then select the Queue and press button Registration.
If it does not, tehn create a new entry by pressing the same registration button and entering the following value:
    Queue name     CSA*
    EXEMODE     D
    MAXTIME                     60
    USERDEST

  • How to enable OCR with Scangear MP under Linux for MG8250?

Under Linux openSUSE 12.3 I use Scangear MP 1.80 for my Canon PIXMA MG8250.
As a scan target (in my German GUI it's "Ziel") I can choose "OCR". But there is no text output, the scan is just saved as a picture. How can I configure Scangear to open the scan via Tesseract in a text editor.
By the way, the target "Print" (in German "Drucken") leads to saving just as well, though there is at least one printer at hand, of course.
It's a pity that the pixma scan drivers that are shipped with openSUSE don't work with xsane (the scanner starts working, but stops after one third of the page). Using xsane with a different scanner I can use OCR successfully.
    Volker

There are two basic types of core OCR algorithm, which may produce a ranked list of candidate characters.
Matrix matching involves comparing an image to a stored glyph on a pixel-by-pixel basis; it is also known as "pattern matching" or "pattern recognition". This relies on the input glyph being correctly isolated from the rest of the image, and on the stored glyph being in a similar font and at the same scale. This technique works best with typewritten text and does not work well when new fonts are encountered. This is the technique the early physical photocell-based OCR implemented, rather directly.
Feature extraction decomposes glyphs into "features" like lines, closed loops, line direction, and line intersections. These are compared with an abstract vector-like representation of a character, which might reduce to one or more glyph prototypes. General techniques of feature detection in computer vision are applicable to this type of OCR, which is commonly seen in "intelligent" handwriting recognition and indeed most modern OCR software. Nearest neighbour classifiers such as the k-nearest neighbors algorithm are used to compare image features with stored glyph features and choose the nearest match.
Software such as Cuneiform and Tesseract use a two-pass approach to character recognition. The second pass is known as "adaptive recognition" and uses the letter shapes recognized with high confidence on the first pass to better recognize the remaining letters on the second pass. This is advantageous for unusual fonts or low-quality scans where the font is distorted.
So I wonder which kind of OCR algorithm are you using?

  • Problems with Weblogic6.0 Under Linux

    Hi,
I have been having this weird problem with weblogic 6.0 under linux.
    I have WL6.0 installed on Redhat Linux 7.2 ( the 2.4 Kernel).
I start the WL server on Linux and my bean deploys successfully,
however I have a client bean on an NT box which tries to do a lookup
on the bean which resides on the Linux box.
I know that I get the initial context, because on the server side I
see the IP address being added to its client list , but as soon as I
try to do a lookup I get the error message
    "Connection refused ..... etc....."
However , if I start the WL server on the NT box from where my client
bean resides, (and leave WL server running on Linux) everything works
fine , and I can reference the object.
This leads me to think that the following is happening :
The client actually connects the WL server on Linux looking for the
relevant stub classes etc.. but the WL server on Linux tells the
client to look for them else where , ie the machine from where it came
(in this case the NT machine)
This explains why when the WL server on NT is running all works fine ,
because the client goes back to the machine from where it came (NT
machine) and in this case the WL server is running so it can deal with
    its requests !!
Running the client and server on Linux works fine and I can also run
the same code between NT machines and Solaris machines. As soon as I
introduce the Linux machine into the equation , I start getting this.
Any help , ideas would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Hi.
Strange. Please post the exception and the full stack trace here.
    Thanks,

  • Inventory service stops with status -1

    Hello,
I have one server that causes me problems. It runs under NW 5.1 SP6 with
ZFD 3.2. It is installed as a Leaf server that should transmit its
collected data to the root server. We have several servers configured like
that and they all work. This one doesn't.
I verified the configuration of the policies, copied a working JAVA.CFG
version to the server, controlled the entries in the INVENV.NCF file but
    found nothing to modify.
The only thing that remains seems to be a reinstallation of the JVM. But
before I try this, I'd like to ask if there may be another solution or if
the installation is the only thing that could help, what should I care for
    the installation ?
    Thanks for your replies

  • Build problem with lv 7 under linux

When building my App. my custom controls are gone!...
    LV 7.0 - Gentoo Linux.

    Thanks Laura,
Here is what I have done now.
I made test.vi it without any custom control.
    The vi has
    1. a numerical control connected to numerical display
    2. a boolean control connected to a boolean display
    3. a boolean to stop the vi
When it is run in the development env. everything is fine.
    Now I build the app.
    1. the up/down arrows of the numerical control does not show up
    2. both boolean does not show up, except the dialog type boolean.
If I click on the invisible up/down arrow I can see inc/dec of the numerical display.
I have included as an attachement the test vi, test.vi and the built one.

  • Recent stability observations with zfs-git under linux-3.17.2

Based on a few reports in the AUR (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/zfs-git/), some have found instabilities since zfs-git was bumped up to HEAD it seems.  Not wanting to start a discussion in the AUR, I opened this thread.  So what is consensus about the stability of the zfs-git package under the 3.17.2 kernel?  Any problems?  Has anyone succsffully completed a scrub of their zpool under the new packages?
    Thanks!

For anyone with a message such as:

still be used, but some features are unavailable.

the features. See zpool-features(5) for details.

It is perfectly fine to upgrade your pool to to the latest disk format as long as you 1) take a good backup before upgrading (you should be doing this regardless), and 2) are fine with not being able to accessing your data using older zpool disk formats. If you are using currently using OpenZFS software (archzfs), your data is already inaccessible with the Oracle zpool disk format. It is still posible to use ZFS send though.

  • Process "cgpdftops" stopped unexpectedly with status 1

Suddenly my iMac G5 has stopped printing to my Kyocera-Mita FS1010 laser printer. The printer has done over 6,000 pages in this set-up.
The printer is set as USB to an Airport Express, the computer is an iMac G5 running Mac OS X (10.4.11).
The message in the print window is The process "cgpdftops" stopped unexpectedly with status 1.
    the cups log is:

I [11/Nov/2008:16:41:57 +1100] Hint: Try setting the LogLevel to "debug" to find out more.
I ran disk utility to fix permissions, but the printing didn't work
I booted from the install disk and repaired the disks (no problems found)
I am now able to print using Adobe Reader, but not Microsoft Word or TextEdit (the only two I have tested)
Printing to my inkjet printer works fine for all applications.
I desperately need help as I have heaps of stuff to print for a meeting this Friday.
    Thanks
    Ian

I have completed all you suggested, including re-installing drivers. The result is the same.
The printer is physically attached to my Airport Extreme as a USB Printer.
I can print successfully to the printer from the iMac G5 when using Adobe Reader.
I cannot print using Word, Excel, TextEdit, Safari, Mail or Preview using iMac G5. Others not tested.
I can print from my MacBook to the printer for every application thus tested.
Thus there is nothing wrong with the Printer, nothing wrong with the Airport Extreme.
The problem lies within the iMac G5 and the software/server used by the G5 to print. Presumerably the Adobe Reader prints using its own software/server.
    What else can I do?

I've built foomatic against the ghostscript install as your instructions say; compilation and installation all seems to be fine with no errors but prints still do not appear on the printer.
Is there anything else I can try?

Obviously since you have iOS 7 you're a developer.  As a developer, you signed a NDA with Apple not to discuss the iOS on a public forum.  Please log in to the Developer Forum using your credentials and ask for help there, lest you risk having your credentials terminated.
Thanks, and best of luck to you.

Are there any known issues with focus stacking or auto align causing PS to stop responding?

    BOILERPLATE TEXT:
Note that this is boilerplate text.
If you give complete and detailed information about your setup and the issue at hand,
such as your platform (Mac or Win),
exact versions of your OS, of Photoshop (not just "CS6", but something like CS6v.13.0.6) and of Bridge,
your settings in Photoshop > Preference > Performance
the type of file you were working on,
machine specs, such as total installed RAM, scratch file HDs, total available HD space, video card specs, including total VRAM installed,
what troubleshooting steps you have taken so far,
    what error message(s) you receive,
if having issues opening raw files also the exact camera make and model that generated them,
if you're having printing issues, indicate the exact make and model of your printer, paper size, image dimensions in pixels (so many pixels wide by so many pixels high). if going through a RIP, specify that too.
    etc.,
someone may be able to help you (not necessarily this poster, who is not a Windows user).
a screen shot of your settings or of the image could be very helpful too.
