JMS Queue: External

Dear All
I need to test a JMS scenario where my ECC system is receiving message from an external JMS Queue.
As the external source system is down I want to test my scenario with any JMS Queue which is available. The requirement is such that I cannot use SAP's Web AS J2EE JMS Queue in PI.
Can anyone tell me are there any JMS queus available (or can be configured) so that I can test the scenario
Regards
Sourabh

Hi,
What do you mean by exteral source system down?? We can create local queues in PI it self,we can work the same scenariomwhen we are facing problems with MQ system down or we dont have any MQ system.
I am not getting your exact requirement, suppose if you are trying to send message to MQ or retrieving message from MQ ,if queue dowm in this case we can create other queues in MQ , we can connect to the other queues.we can execute same scenario.
suppose if your MQ System down means its not possible, but as i meantioned alredy we can crete queues in PI it self we have a feature.

  • Getting events into WLI from  External JMS Queue

    Hi,
I can't figure out how to get an event into WLI from an external JMS queue.
I can send an XML message to an external queue but can't figure out how to get
a message from an external queue into WLI. I have created the MDB using the generator
program provided and have deployed. How does this MDB now send these messages
    into WLI?

    -- Bill

    Hi Bill.
Actually this is really simple. Here are the steps:
Connect your MDB to the external JMS queue by modifying the weblogic-ejb-jar.xml
The MDB onMessage(Message m) method will receive a message from the external JMS
queue. It will then use JNDI to bind to the EventQueue of WLI and submit the event
    as XML into that queue.
Obvously the onMessage() operation must be transacted using container managed
transactions so the scope will spawn both de-queuing from the external JMS queue
and enqueing into the WLI Evnet Queue.

  • How to create a JMS queue linked to external (remote) JMS server?

    Hello,
I'm trying to receive messages from a remote JMS queue. I found some information on the Internet on how to create an external JNDI resource (my remote JMS queue connection factory is bound to LDAP context on remote box). I was able to configure JNDI resource that points to remote queue connection factory, but I don't know what to do next.
How can I create a local JMS destination (queue) that will be the image of the remote queue? At least I'm guessing this is what needs to be done in order to deploy MDBs.
I would appreciate it if someone could tell me how to get this working. Maybe the steps I took were not in the right direction - the bottom line is that JMS queue and queue connection factory are deployed on a remote server, and I need to get messages sent to them on the local server. I'm using Sun App Server from J2EE 1.4.
    Thank you,
    Mark

Please refer to http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6377822, particularly the evaluation. Could your situation be the same too (i.e server ip address changing dynamically)? Also, which OS are you using and do you have any firewalls setup that prevents access to port 3700?

  • How to keep a back up of messages from the JMS queues?

    Hi,
I need to keep a back up of messages which are coming in the JMS queue before they get consumed. This is for recovery purpose.
I checked file store option but it doesnt have any time stamp on messages so dont know how to trace back messges if needed from file store.
Please let me know if you guys have any idea to handle this.
    Thanks in advance
    Bips

No. Not with Time Machine at least.
If you tell Time Machine to backup the external then you will have it.
Or you can manually copy it to another disk for storage outside of Time Capsule/TimeMachine.

  • How to pick(or consume) messages from Woblogic JMS Queue only when DB is UP

    Hi,
I have a requirement to pick(or consume) messages from Woblogic JMS Queue only when DB is UP.
When DB is down, messages should remain in queue. When DB is up, messaged should be picked on scheduler basis.
We are using SOA suite 11g(BPEL or mediator,JMS Adapter).
What is the best way to achive it in SOA 11g.
I tried, but when I setup a Consumer, there is no control over there. Messages are picked automatically.
    Please advise.
    Thanks
    Ram

    something wrong with the design.
why dont you set the retry options in the fault policies?
So if the external DB is down you could reprocess them after specified interval or make it go to human retry queue.
Then you could use SOA api to retry all of them.

  • JMS Queue Not bound

Configured JMS communication to connect to external JMS Queue.
When i see the status in Adapter monitor, it shows an error "Receiver channel details:<queuename> not bound".
Would like to know , where is the problem this error is related to?
    Thnx
    Sunil

    Hi,
First of all check all your configuration steps in the directory. i.e Receiver Determination/Interface Determination/Receiver Agreement etc
Are you getting any error in the SXMB_MONI ?
ALso check the RWB->Message Monitoring ->Message Display tool and check the status
If there is no error in the above, if the error is only in the Adapter monitor, then check the Adapter configuration .

  • IDoc to internal XI JMS queue

    Hi All,
I am trying to send an IDoc from R/3 to an internal XI JMS queue.  I want to test the JMS adapter by sending the IDoc to an XI created JMS queue.  How do I create a JMS queue within XI that can receive my IDoc from R/3?  I am looking at the receiver determination using JMS adapter but don't know what transport protocol to use to create the queue.
I am already able to receive an IDoc into XI and dump it to the OS as an XML file, so I know the connection works between the two systems.  All I need is to create a generic JMS queue, so I shouldn't have to import any drivers into the J2EE like is necessary for MQSeries.
    Thanks for any help!!
    Adam Iding

    Hi Adam,
You will have to install the Driver for the JMS queue you are trying to connect to on XI server.
For info on how to install external drivers,
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/3867a582-0401-0010-6cbf-9644e49f1a10
Also, if you are using a SONIQMQ or WEbspehere MQ , then the exact details to be entered are available on the JMS adapter itself. You will just have to change the IP, port no , Queue details. The driver details are all available on JMS adapter itself.
But, if you are using someother JMS service, then you will have to configur your Queue as a Genric Access or using a JNDI access.
Check this link for the same,

For testing purpose how can I populate the queue?
Is there anyway other than doing a file to JMS scenario to populate the same.

    Hi,
There is no other alternate to invoke the queues.
As you said, use File adapter to test the secnario.

  • Connect from Weblogic JMS queue to SAP WAS JMS queue

    Hi,
I am trying to setup a WLS 8.1 messaging bridge between a weblogic JMS queue and a SAP WAS JMS queue. I have configured a queue on both Weblogic and SAP WAS and I have set up the messaging bridge and bridge destintations in weblogic. However when weblogic tries to get the SAP initial context factory it fails with the error below.
I have added the SAP Client jars to the weblogic system classpath, and in the weblogic startup script but it still fails. Has anyone connected from an external JMS queue to a SAP WAS JMS queue that could provide me with some guidence?

    Stoyan,
    Thanks for that.
My problem ended up being a classpath problem. I referenced the directory of the SAP jars in the weblogic start up script. When I changed this to reference each jar individually it worked.
I have a new issue now which may have something to do with security. The trace suggests it is logging on as the guest user, even though I entered my username and password in the Messaging bridge.

  • JMS Queue monitor

    Hi Experts,
We have a requirement in PO 7.31 system to monitor the message traffic for sender and receiver jms queues defined in communication channel configurations. These jms queues are managed externally by EAI team.
Please let us know how to do this , if it is possible in PO 7.31 single stack system.
    Best Regards,Prasanth

    Hi Prasanth -
We have a requirement in PO 7.31 system to monitor the message traffic for sender and receiver jms queue
    >>> You can monitor the message processing in PI i.e. if the messages are being successfully processed to JMS queue or not.  You can configure the alerts to receive email in case the messages gets failed in PI.
Michal's PI tips: Component-Based Message Alerting
However i don't think we can monitor if they are being processed/failed by your JMS application.

  • JMS Queue User

    Hi,
I am trying to configure an IDOC -> PI -> JMS (Party for JMS) and also JMS -> PI -> IDOC scenario.
We will be installing certificates while communicating between JMS and PI.
While configuring JMS sender/ receiver channel, there is a section to enter JMS Queue User and Password
Now since we are using certificates what should I mention in the the above section (user)? Someone told me that I should be using the Certificate Name in the JMS Queue User section. Is it correct? Or should I ask for a specific user-name and password.
    Thank you,
    Pankaj.

    Hi,
Actually in present landscape, the client-system is communicating with external system using JMS (a JAVA application is used instead of PI) and they are using Digital certificates. Now when PI will replace the JAVA application, they are going to replicate the same setting in PI (certificates and others).
Hence, when I asked for JMS Queue User and Password, the client team member mentioned to use the digital certificate name.
    SonicMQ and Weblogic is used.
    Thank you,
    Pankaj.
