Key Figure - Data in InfoObject (MasterData) as attribute - how to....

Hello,
I have following scenario: I have a key figure which is filled with priorities (1-5). Now I have as a requirenemt - in order that the user can report on the priority - to fill a new InfoObject with the same content (priority). The new InfoObject is an attribute on an already existing InfoObject.
It should be a one-time action for data for the past.
Any (creative) idea?

You can add a CHAR Infoobject Priority in same Infoprovider and map it to Key figure priority. Then you can use the new Char Priority to report.

  • Key figure data in BEx report

    Hi,
We are viewing some of the Key figure data of a particular report as ".", "$21.99MIN" etc, where $21.99 is the original value. When we click on the excel sheet cell and view in the formula bar, data is showing $21.99 correctly. But it is appearing as "$21.99MIN". In some places just"." is appearing where data can be seen in the formula bar.
Tried, converting to Formula option, with which we can see the numbers but as usual it is behaving as a normal excel sheet after applying the function.
Please suggest how to view the correct data for the report.

    Hi,
    Thanks for the reply.
It is a direct key figure. Two key figures in the query are displayed like this, while other KFs are displating the values as it is. Also i checked the data in Multi provider, BEx definition of the info object etc, there is no problem.

  • Copy Key figure data between two planning area with different storage bucket profile

    Hi,
I have a DP planning area ' PA1' with monthly storage bucket profile data view 'PA1M' ( monthly TBF) and I want to copy the data to another planning area 'PA2' whose storage bucket is weekly. This would need me to write a custom program which will split monthly to weekly and then populate 'PA2'.
However, In 'PA2', I created two data views 'PA2W' (with weekly time bucket profile) and 'PA2M' (with Monthly Time bucket profile). If I am able to copy the data from PA1 (PA1M) to PA2(PA2M), it will automatically splits monthly to weekly in PA2W.
So my question is if there exists a way I can copy key figure data from PA1M to PA2M? Any BAPI?

    Hi Rakesh,
You can use COPY/Version Management Function to do this.
Path: Demand Planning > Environment >Copy/ Version Management
The system takes into account only those periodicities that are common to both planning areas.
For example, if the data is saved in months in the source planning area (PA1) but in months and weeks in the target planning area (PA2)
the system copies to months in the target planning area and then Disaggregates the data to the storage buckets in accordance with the Time-based Disaggregation.
hope this wil help to understand the basic concept.

I once found the note 407563 on this subject. It gives the advantages and disadvantages from the point of view of data modelling and from the technical point of view.
It's a BPS note, but manly valid in a BW context.

  • Key figure Date in Decimal format

    Hi all,
I have a key figure 0CPR_ACFR_K  (Date) which is in Decimal format.
Data in PSA for the particular field was like this '07102008'
but after that it is changing to 7327.98  that is in decimal format.
But i dont want this to happen ie. it should not get converted to Decimal or
i want to convert the decimal value again to the equivalent date.
       pls help in this.

    Hi  jean liker,
It will get converted due to its properties. If you want to use this particular object as keyfigure, you can create a variable with processing type replacement path and use. Its better to maintain as char.

  • How to display Non Cumulative key figure data

    Hi,
I want to check if there is any data for a non-cumulative key figure. While i am trying to display the data from cube or Multi provider, it is not showing this field. is there any way to check the data for this field other than using reports.
    Regards,

    Hi,
Take Eg: Quantity of valuated stock - 0VALSTCKQTY it is combination of
Quantity Received into Valuated Stock- 0RECVALSTCK and
Quantity Issued from Valuated Stock-   0ISSVALSTCK
In report you can see only  0VALSTCKQTY Keyfigure.
And the above Two Keyfigures are filling by Routines using Process Keys.
This is for 0IC_C03 and data you can check in MB5B Tcode in ECC.
    Check;

  • Key Figure data type/length differs in BI and source system

    Hi all.
It is a strange question, but we need an explanation to our "strange" client. Why many fields which are DEC 13 in source system became CURR 09 in BI? DEC->CURR type switch seems reasonable, but not the length. I guess the shorter numeric field is the less precise it can keep...
Does SAP give any explanation for that?

    Hi,
If you are expecting the data to be aggregated in the cube and if the data is loaded by different requests, then in that case the data wouldnot be aggregated.
    EX:  CHAR1   CHAR2    CHAR3   CHAR4     CHAR5    CHAR6    CHAR7    KF1   KF2   KF3
             A               B              C            D        E              F             G          10     20    30
              A               B              C            D        E              F             G          10     20    30
sUPPOSE IF THE ABOVE 2 ROWS OF DATA ARE GETTING LOADED IN THE SAME REQUEST, then you can expect the data to be aggregated and the o/p of the KFs will be 20, 40 and 60 respectively.
In case the loading is done with separate requests, then your data will not be aggregated.
This is becuse in the cube, Request ID (under the Data Package Dimension)    is one of the dimension and this differs when the requests are different.

  • How to controle the output of a key figure based on an attribute

As part of following up on a select range of materials during their launch period a report is needed, where the key figures are controlled by a specific attribute.
The attribute is called End Launch Control Date and it holds the specific day where the product goes from launch to replenishment. When the product goes into repleneshment it is no longer relevant to follow up on.
The follow up list contains around 80 materials (SKU's) and the challenge is that they have different End Launch Control Dates.
So, I would like to design a report that does the following:
    1) When drill on material, the key figures only show values before the End Launch Control Date for the specific material. After this date, the key figure should state either zero or blank cells.
    2) The key figures should not be controlled by a specific date in the prompt, because the End Launch Control date is different for each material.
Does anyone have experience in constructing this functionality?

    Hi,
you could maybe do this with using formula variables and and IF statement in the keyfigure you want to be blank after a certain date
basically you want/need to compare a date (which date would that be, one in the columns or smth?) with the end launch control date and if this date is bigger then this leave KF 0.
so you need to create a formula using two formula variables (of type replacement path and being replaced by the 2 dates) and compare these two in the formula. Then you use the outcome of this (which should be 0 or 1) in a new formula with the keyfigure (statement true * KF ) + (statement false * KF). This will give a value when comparison is ok and 0 when it is not ok.
This description might be not complete and bit short but I dont have the time to fully look it up, please let me know if you didnt understand the idea behind it.

  • Conditions: Variables on date key figures

    Dear Sirs,
I am trying to create a condition on a key figure of type date (subtype: dats). I want the user to select a date interval for this condition, using variables.
The problems seems to be that the variable input screen thinks the user should enter an amount and not a date. If I enter a date in the variable then no data is beeing displayed.
So how can I get the variable to understand that the input is a date ?
Has anyone done what I try to do sucessfully.

    Hello Rakesh,
thanks for your input. However, I am not able to get it to work.
I create a condition on the key figure "date". I use e.g greater than. Then create a variable with replacement path to 0CALDAY, and transfer the condition.
When I run the report I get the following error.

  • General Key Figure Monitor doesn't display data in the portal

    Hi...
I have configured the general key figure monitor in SPRO.  I executed the program KFM_VALUE_DET_SCHEDULE.  When I execute the portal iview using the context id, the  key figure data does't display.  The context id is set to the key figure category.
    Any ideas?

    Hi
Thanks, that was just what I was looking for.
I have verified that it is the right task, but unfortunately I still have an issue.
If I add tasks like “uwl.task.webflow.default.TS92000077” or “uwl.task.webflow.TS92000077” in a view under Support Itemtypes, then these tasks are still not shown in my list.
If I add another task that exist in the default configuration file (under system registration) then it works fine.
Please look at the two screendumps under “item Type”. In the screendump that works the complete name is shown under Item Type and in the other case only a prefix call “default” is displayed.

  • How to model a non key figure numeric field

I am new to SAP BI, so please acceopt my apologies if I am asking a very basic question.
I have some numeric fields which are attributes of master data. These fields are not key figures and will not be aggregated. How can I model this in BI? I have to keep them as numeric fields because they may be used in some calculations at reporting.
    Thanks!

You can display them as display attribute along with your main infoobject in query.
    or
Model it using replacement formula variable by using attribute value as in this [Help|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/03/6ba03cc24efd1de10000000a114084/content.htm] doc.

  • Key Figure can't find mapping in transfer rules

    Hi,
I am trying to validate some data for datasource 2LIS_12_VCITM. I went through the transfer structure and it has the mapping of LFIMG Actual quantity delivered (in sales units) to 0DLV_QTY. However, when I tried to validate the key figure data, this field LFIMG supposedly has the quantity value for the key figure InfoObject name other than 0DLV_QTY. Why is this? I can't seem to do a 1-to-1 mapping of the key figures to the fields from the R3 table.

  • Query regarding characteristics and key figures

    Hi All,
Can anybody pls tell me in what scenarios a key figure can be used as a attribute of a characteristic?
what are the scenarios in which each type of DSO can be use?

    Hi,
Can anybody pls tell me in what scenarios a key figure can be used as a attribute of a characteristic?
if  your key figure in trasnctional data level it's give you the Fact.
If you use your key figure in your master data lvel it's give you the present truth.
Like this you have 0Material and Material price has the attribute of 0Material.
    read below link
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/dd/f470375fbf307ee10000009b38f8cf/content.htm
what are the scenarios in which each type of DSO can be use?
We have 3 DSO in BI 7.
    1. Standard DSO : it's contaions 3 tables (New,Active,Change log tables) : If you want overwrite funcationality go for this dso
    2. Direct Update DSO : It's Contaion only Active Table : If you want write some data using with  APD and BAPI go for this dso.
    3. Write Optimized DSO : It's Contaion only Active Table : If you want load mass uploads and stageing purpose we use this dso.
    Hope it helps you.

  • Difference between cumulative and non-cumulative key figures

    Hi,
What is the difference between cumulative and non-cumulative key figures and under what conditions they are used. What is snapshort and where it is used.

    Hi.............
Basically the key figures are of two types cumulative and non cumulative.
Cumulative are the normal one which you use always and they always bring the new values of the key figures in the delta that is if suppose A has value 10 and after change the new value is 20 then you will use cumulative key figures there, and your delta( new value) will bring 20.
but suppose your key figures field only the change in the prior value that is in this case the delta in the key figure value will bring 10 (20-10- change of 10 )as new value in the key figure A then you will have to model it through the non cumulaitve key figures.
    Now
    1) Cumulative is for the first case that is if the key figure alwyas brings the new values of the key figure and not the change sin the key fiures value.
2)NCum. value with NCUM value change:
In this case ther is only one field which brings the changes for a particualr key figure and you ahve to define that key figure as non cumulative.
Ex: In case of stock only one filed brings both ingoing value and outgoing value so 10 ,-4,100,-34.....
In this case you will this option and use the key figure here in the space provided.
    3) In this case you haev two separate key figures one for the inflow of stocks and one for the outflow of the stocks.
you use one key figure for the inflow and one key figure for the outflow.
The main key figure autiomatically takes care of the logic and gives the correct output upon the summation
net value of stocks( inflow- outflow).
Also do remember in this case the key figure for inflow and out flow are the basic key figures that is cumulative key figures.
A non-cumulative is a non-aggregating key figure on the level of one or more objects that is always displayed in relation to time. Examples of non-cumulatives include headcount, account balance and material inventory. here the aggregation of key figure is based on the another info object
There are two different ways to define non-cumulative key figures:
    • Non-cumulative key figure with non-cumulative changes:
Before you can define the non-cumulative key figure, an additional cumulative key figure containing the non-cumulative change must exist as an InfoObject.
    • Non-cumulative key figure with inflows and outflows
There has to be two additional cumulative key figures as InfoObjects for non-cumulative key figures - one for inflows and one for outflows. The cumulative key figures have to have the same technical properties as the non-cumulative key figure, and the aggregation and exception aggregation have to be SUM.
    Features of non-cummulative key figures
    A non-aggregating key Figure.
Records are not summarized for Reporting
Exception Aggregation is being applied on these key figures on the level of one or more info objects usually with time .
Examples: Head Count, Account balance, Material stock
    consider simple senario
Date Net Stock Quantity Sales Revenue
    01.02.2005 40 1000
    02.02.2005 50 2000
    03.02.2005 25 3000
this is the query output if stock quantity has treated as cummulative and non-cummulative key figures
if stock quantity taken as a cummulative key figure
Date NET STOCK QUANTITY SALES REVENUE
    01.02.2005 30 1000
    02.02.2005 50 2000
    03.02.2005 20 3000
    RESULT 100 6000
in the above result the key figure has aggregated to the total value that wont give sense to the net stock quantity
if stock quantity taken as non-cummulative key figure
Date Net Stock Quantity (LAST) Sales Revenue
    01.02.2005 30 1000
    02.02.2005 50 2000
    03.02.2005 20 3000
    RESULT 20 6000
