KKS5 allocated actual cost

Hi,
In KKS5 Varience report, system is showing Target Cost, Actual cost and Allocated actual cost. Target cost and actual cost is storing in table COSS. But i want to know which table allocated actual cost will be stored. Can any one guide me on this.
govind.

Hi
1. Allocated costs are always treated as Fixed costs, unless you have booked the expenses in FI using Activity Type as Aux Account assignment object
2. Check whether these costs are included in Inventory valuation in your Cost Comp Str in OKTZ... If not relevant for inv valuation, these costs wont show up for Variance calculations

  • Re-allocating Actual Costs and Actual Work from one project to multiple projects

My company would like to track costs in one project and then re-allocate those costs to multiple projects.  Example: An end user would submit a timesheet against a task named 'Analysis' for Project A.  Once accepted and published, the
costs for those hours would be subtracted from Project A and 60% of those costs would be transferred to the 'Analysis' task for Project X and 40% of the costs for those hours would be transferred to Project Y.
We believe we can accomplish this through reporting, but before we go this route, we wanted to make sure there was not a logical, supported way in MS Project Server to complete these actions.  Could a script be developed to accomplish this?
    Thank you!
    Tasha

Out of the box Project and Project Server do not support this. However with VBA anything is possible. You could also use PSI to work directly with project data in teh Server db but that would take much longer to develop. Check you can do what you want
in VBA then you can use the result to spec the server version afterwards.

  • Difference between Actual Cost and Allocable costs in splitting KSS2

I have Cost splitting structure results with me(KSS2)
What is the difference between Actual Costs, Control Costs, Allocable Actual, Actual cost balance and which amount will system consider for calculating the rate with dividing the activity rates.

    Hi,
In Splitting Structure KSS2 There are two Costs One is Target Cost (Planned) and Control Cost (Actual Cost)
In Variance Calculation U will See Target Cost (Planned), Actual Cost, Allocated Actual Costs.
    Target Cost = Planned Cost
    Control Cost = Actual Cost
    Actual Cost = Actual Cost
Allocated Actual Cost = Actual Cost of the Output Qty. This is Actual Credits from Activity allocation. This is Actual Credits from delivery of Stock.
    Hope you are Clear.

  • Actual costing: "not allocated" differences in second currency

Dear colleagues, we need your advise on the following issue.
We have Material Ledger (ML) and Currency & Valuation profile activated with two intra-currencies:
    10 Company code currency
32 Group currency, profit center valuation
Both ML currencies are equal in exchange rates (1=1).
Actual costing run in ML is not working correctly for manufactured products, if raw materials were purchased for any extra-currency, e.g. USD or EUR. For example, three-level BOM:
    1) for Raw materials (purchased for USD) consumption differences are equal in both ML currencies;
    2) for Semi-finished product consumption differences are equal, but in second ML currency they are not included in upper-level consumption, and present as "not allocated";
    3) as a result, costs are different in intra-currencies on the Finished product level.
Note 908776 - "Not included/not allocated and not distributed" - doesn't give explanation of this case.
    Please, help!

    HI,
Single Level Price Determination and Multiple Level Price Determination are steps that you will need to carry out as part of Month end close for Material Ledger. This is also appropriate for calculation of the product cost.
If you don't include multiple level price determination, the product cost for your part being manufactured in company code B in your example will be incorrect. However, if your concern is related to inclusion of multiple level price difference in revaluation of inventory, then you may need to introduce some custom code for reclassification purpose. You can refer to tables CKMLCR and MLCD for multiple level price differences and quantities.

Please check if this item is transacted in prior period (Mar 2006) and ic_perd_bal table has any record for this item-whse.

  • Posting Actual Costs at Material Level

    Hi All
For our standard costs we will have BOM Components, Activities from Routings and additive costs. We also have activated Material Ledger and will use it for Actual Costing, the objective being that each and every actual cost will be brought to the SKU level. For BOM components and activities that is no problem since it will be done through settlement.
However for cost components that have additive costs how do we settle them to the material ledger? Do we need to do MR22 for difference between standard and actual? Is there a way to do this through a template allocation or some other allocation method?
    Thank you

    Hi
Lets assume, you have Std cost of 100 USD involving Material + Labor and an additive cost of 10 USD entered manually from CK74N...
During production order processing - You would issue material components and confirm Labor hrs... Say, this amounts to 120 USD as against the std cost of 100 USD...
However, in prod orders, there will be nothing posted against the additive std cost of 10 USD... If you wish, you need to post it either through template allocation from some cost centers or use some assessment cycle or transfer manually from KB11N or use a costing sheet

  • Getting diffrent Actual cost from 0PM_OM_OPA_2 to 0pm_c01 and 0pm_c07

    Hi All,
I am using BI report for plan and actual cost deviation of Work order(maintenance order) of PM(tcode iw33>cost tab>plan actual cost to check),
question there is 2 query for this plan actual cost deviation, one on 0pm_c01(Maintenance Orders - Costs and Allocations) and second on 0PM_C07 Maintenance Orders: Scheduling, datasource is common 0PM_OM_OPA_2 for actual cost population in this cubes, BUT update rule are diffrent for both target,
in 0pm_c07 its getting update by 0pm_ds04(dso) where we are getting only Actual cost with Debit(S) Entery(as debit(S) entery hardcoded at start routine in update rule from this datsource to 0pm_ds04), for report on 0pm_c07actual cost is matching with standard ecc report MCI8 - PMIS: Cost Analysis.
in 0pm_c03 we are getting all Actual cost entry both Debit(S) and Credit(H), getting actual cost total as debit minus credit entry at cube 0pm_c03 and hence getting same on report on that, this report is same as like report on 0pm_c07.
both report are calculating Actual vs Plan cost relation ship, but one report(on 0pm_c07) have only debit(S) entry while other report(on 0pm_c03) have both Debit and Credit entery, So getting diffrent  Actual cost at both report hence diffrent Actual VS plan Cost relationship from both report,
Both are standard report given by SAP, Now which report we have to take it as correct one? which report is right?
    Regards,
    Dushyant.

    Hi,
Sorry, In my pain post whereever i written 0pm_c03 is wong its 0pm_c01,
as u said ur query on 0pm_c01 works fine? are u getting Debit(S) and credit(H) both entery for actual cost in this cube?
as in 0pm_c07 we are gettin only debit(S) entery and this report matching with standard ecc reprot( as i mentioned in main post ) BUT for 0pm_c01 its have both S and H entery. if ur actual/plan cost report on 0pm_c01 have S and H entery for actual cost than with ECC report you are reconciling?

  • Actual cost  is not  seen in the  variance calculation KKS2

    Hi
I   did  variance calculation of  a Production order  ( after  telco)  .  Its a co - product.   The  target cost , actual cost and  allocated cost   fields are present  after  execution.   Now  the  actual cost  field is   blank  and  so   the  variance is not  correct.
Pl  advise on  why  the  actual cost field is not  populated with  the cost.
    Thanks
    kamala

    Hi
KOB1  shows the actual cost .  I do  TECO  for the PO and  calculate  Variance for co-product material,  and  the  actual cost is showing at  zero.  But   then i  do  settlement  KO88,  and  the   variance amount  gets posted CORRECTLY and FI document is generated.
So  why is the  ACTUAL COST  field   ' ZERO'    in  KKS2,  but    KO88   settlement  shows the  variance amount.
It  there some different logic  to  do variance calculation  for   PO   involving  main product  which have  co-products  in it.

    1. BOM
    2. Machine hour
    3. labour
    4. overhead etc
    5.plan value
    6. actual value
Can i settle the actual cost of production order to Fixed Asset ?
    If yes
what are process kindly give me if any process other then the below
    1.production order created
    2. settlement profile - FA is settlement optional
    3. allocation structure
    4. Asset created
5 define asset in settlement rule
Kindly give me your valuable input
    regards
    elango

    Hi,
Although i am not CO expert , please check with your FICO consultant who are expert before make the final call.
During settlement to a G/L account or a fixed asset, the system ignores additional account assignments that were manually specified in the distribution rule.
Based on what i know .
you can stipulate that settlement may be made to cost centers and orders, but not to fixed assets.
The Settlement profile is something that you need to create a settlement rule to settle the actual costs of a sender object.
About the Settlement rule is something that  contains the distribution rules for the sender. It will define how the way to settle the cost.
    Allocation Structure
In the settlement structure you combine the primary and secondary cost elements into groups, in which debits are then posted to the sender objects. For each group, you specify whether (for settlement to a given receiver type) settlement is performed
by cost element or using a settlement cost element.
For example, you might use settlement cost elements:
To document the purpose of an order (such as, repairs or maintenance)
To reduce data volumes (you can combine a number of debit cost elements
    under one settlement cost element).

  • Actual cost of material in COPA

    Hi Team,
We have implemented PP, CO & COPA  our client has the requirement to see the actual cost of material in COPA as per their requirement we designed the KE30 report as product wise profitability report in that report we used the record types B( direct postings from FI), C(Order settlement), D(over head cost) from the copa assessment cycle & F ( SD billing).
    1) Is it possible to see the actual cost of material( Including activity cost) in copa.
    2) If it is possible please advise.

    Hello
It is not possible to get the actual cost of the material in COPA. Actual cost can only be derived if you implement material ledger.
However in COPA we may come close to actual cost to some extent. The following configuration needs to be done:
    1. Run standard cost estimate every month so that the price reflects the most recent material prices.
    2. Define assessment cycles for auxiliary cost centers (whose cost should form part of inventory cost) to production cost centers.
    3. Configure for splitting and revaluation at actual price.
    4. Take the production variances to COPA.
    5. Create a report to show the standard cost and variances.
One of the difference is that the total standard cost is for the quantities sold during the period however the variances will be for the quantities produced during the period.
Another difference is that the unabsorbed overheads could not be allocated to individual materials.
    Hope this helps.

  • Actual cost component values

    Hi
We are facing an issue that actual cost component values in our system are not calculating correctly. We consider that there might be difference in our understanding regarding the calculation of actual cost component values.
Therefore I want to understand that how actual cost component values are calculated in SAP Material Ledger. I will appreciate if anyone can elaborate this with example and formula, used for calculation.
    Regards

    Hi Saad,
Please find below about the actual cost calculation in ML.
In ML single -level and multi-level material settlements are available. Multilevel price determination calculates the periodic unit price for a material. The standard price, the single-level differences cumulated in the period, the differences between planned and actual prices, as well as input material differences (multilevel differences) are all taken into account.
The material price calculated in multilevel price determination can be used for inventory valuation.
The actual price for each material can be updated to the material master for the closed period.
-During price determination, the system carries out the following calculation:

  • Material Ledger Active - K088 Settlement doesnt use Actual Cost Comp Split

Production Order quantities are all scrap (in confirmation) thus order balance contains Consumed Materials and Activity Allocation
When KO88 Settlement is run, the system uses Standard Cost Component Split to allocate the residual to Cost Components instead of the Actual Cost Component Split
When we run the flow trace, the message says:
"Splitting according to output material S-Price CCS"
Expectation was that costs would flow according to Actual Cost Component split.
There is note 756167 - This note activates the update of the actual cost component split information in the material ledger document when you perform the order settlements.
However current release is 604, so its expected that this is already applied.
Any help or insight on how to settle using Actual Cost Component split is appreciated.

The second option you mentioned of using separate value field for transferring the standard cost component split from the actual cost component split is the way SAP designed this integration between CO-PA and the Material Ledger.  But 40 value field for cost component split is excessive.  CO-PA allows up to 120 value fields maximum, so I agree it does not seem prudent to use 80 of them for this purpose.
I suggest you reexamine the level of detail you think may be needed in CO-PA and try to use CO-PC reports at the cost element level to report on more detail.  Keep the CO-PA view more aggregated and you can stick with the standard solution for comparing standard to actual costs in CO-PA.

  • Plan cost & Actual cost in KKBC_ORD for CO Prdn Order

    Dear Experts,
We are not able to findout the why difference is appearing during T code KKBC_ORD order analyse for Raw materials, please suggest wht may be the wrong thing in the order?
Before this i would like to brief you on the process.
Raw matls are created with "V" as price control. & Finished Goods as "S" control.& we create one BOM. Say example
My finished Goods will be 500555 code & Raw matl code will say 1001010 & 1002020.
My BOM will contain these raw matls with qty of 1kg each.
FG code 500555 of 2kg Bag
    Items are 1001010 & 1002020 of 1kg each.
Here my mvng price are 2 & 4Rs for raw mtls 1001010 & 1002020 respectively.
In Material master we define overhead key as 10% to a Finished goods (500555) in Costing view.
    1) Now i create a Base planning object T code KKE1 & I update the 10% as overhead cost & raw matls qtys as per BOM.At the end you can see the overall manufacture cost of the FGs in this case you will get for
FG 500555 about 6.6Rs. then save it.here it is done for 1bag only.
    2) Create a CO PRDOUCTION ORDER T code KKF1 system will generate one number & save it. Now go to KKF4 add the base planning object name & enter the required qty say 10 bags...
You can see the COGM will now 66Rs for 10 bags as per the planning.
3)Goods issued to Order 261 with refc to BOM & Order number entred qty as 10. Sytem will calculates the qtys of raw mtals based on 10bags & save it.
4)Goods  receipt done against CO PRDOUCTION ORDER (Finished  goods 500555).
*5)KKBC_ORD i hav updated the CO PRDOUCTION ORDER & choosen cost trend. Here i am seeing a diffc in actual cost column & variance of 26%.but how it is possible*
    Regards
    TG

I can think of a couple of areas where there may be differences.
First, your CO order is probably not getting any overhead costs.  Your base planning object had 10% overhead built into it, but that is only for developing the preliminary cost estimate for the order.  The allocation of actual overhead must occur through some other method (i.e. overhead costing sheet, activity allocation, or template allocation).
Second, the actual material costs assigned to the order will be based on the material's inventory valuation at the time they are issued to the order.  Since you said the materials are valuated at weighted average cost, it is possible that their inventory valuation changed between the time the base planning object was created and the time they were issued to the order.
    thanks,

  • Process Order Actual Cost?

    Dear Experts,
I understand that we need to run KSII - Actual Activity Price Calculation first before we run the Revaluation of Orders using CON2 in order for us to get the actual cost updated in FI at the end of the day.
Somehow, in SAP Best Practices (BPD) Business Process Documentation, never ask us to run KSII and CON2.  It just asked us to run KKS1(variance calculation).
My question is that do we need to run KSII and CON2 to get the actual cost updated in FI or just KKS1 will do?
    regards,
    Abraham

    Dear Abraham,
What i know is the step that you running in Product Costing is:
    1. KSS2 (Actual Splitting) --> you split the cost in Cost Center by Activity Type
    2. KSII (Actual Price Calculation) --> you calculate the activity type price per Cost Center, you can see the result in KSBT
    3. CON2 (Revaluate Activity Price) per Plant --> you allocate the expense in cost center to process order
    4. KKS1 (Calculate Variance) per Plant --> you calculate the variance between Actual Cost vs Standard Cost (Standard Cost is come from SCE (Standard Cost Estimate) process)
    5. CO88 (Process Orders Settlement) per Plant --> you settle the cost in Process Order to Material
From step 1 to 3 there is no update in FI just in CO, when you execute report S_ALR_87013611 you can find the allocation result and you can find Actual Activity per Activity Type.
In step 4, KKSI you only can  calculate the variance between Actual Cost vs Standard Cost.
Posting in FI is happen in step 5, when you settle the cost in Process Order to Material (CKMLCP).
Your question is that do we need to run KSII and CON2 to get the actual cost updated in FI or just KKS1 will do?
My answer is yes, and you also have to run SCE to get the Standard Cost first.
    Thanks,
    Ferdinand

For the currency you are converting to: XXX
INPUTCURRENCY dimension must have XXX as a member with "REPORTING" property set to "Y"
    and
RPTCURRENCY dimension must have XXX as a member with "REPORTING" property set to "Y" and "CURRENCY_TYPE" property set to "R"
It needs to be in both dimensions with the right properties.  INPUTCURRENCY is the currency dimension in the RATE cube, RPTCURRENCY is the currency dimension in the financial or consolidations cube.
