Lack of response by HP to problem

I purchased a HP md2000h SimpleSave external hard drive approximately 30 days ago.  My 2 month old HP desktop will not recognize the hard drive.  I have done everything recommended  in the manual--rebooting, etc.  The blue "on" light is on but my computer will not connect or recognize the drive as being there.  I have contacted HP twice through their web site.  The only replies from them have been automated responses with NO HELP!!  This is the worst customer service I have encountered from a company whose product I have purchased.  I have a new HP device that is useless, and now that HP has "made the sale"  they have no interest in whether their unit works or not.

To both owners:
Please clarify whether your external drive is USB2 or USB3. It has become apparent that USB3 SS drives can not draw the current required when plugged into a USB2 port.

  • Disappointed with lack of responses  from Adobe staff

Recently I've posted a few questions. In the meantime I've
resolved all problems by trial and error. Most problems have been
cause by not having complete documentation available.
    I just posted a topic -
    http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/messageview.cfm?forumid=72&catid=602&threadid =1248092&enterthread=y
but no longer do I expect a response. Sometimes after a
search, I see that others have the same or similar problems, but no
    one has answered them.
Does Adobe expect success with Spry? If so I think they need
to help the small band of people struggling with it!
    VERY disappointed.
I also not that at the bottom of the main page of this forum,
it states, "Important Note: These online forums are for
user-to-user discussions of Adobe products, and are not an official
customer support channel for Adobe. If you require direct
assistance, or prefer to contact Adobe support staff directly,
    please contact Adobe support. "
But when you click the link, there's no select option for
    Spry!!!

    Hi Kate,
Believe me when I say that I understand your frustration. I
just want to state for the record that what seems like our lack of
response or interest in this forum is not intentional.
The lack of timely responses is due mainly to the fact that
we have *lots* of things going on behind the scenes here. Some of
us read the forums in real-time, and chime in any spare moment we
have, and it's also frustrating for us to see folks struggling.
Some posts are easy to answer within a couple of minutes, and some
take hours to help folks figure out what's going on in their
    pages/apps/site.
You bring up some very valid points, and I've forwarded them
on to the appropriate folks internally.
That said, it seems like most of your questions that have
gone unanswered revolve around validation widgets. I'll try to
answer your questions, and perhaps poke other who know more if I
    can't figure it out.

We've reached out to the Hotmail team and they've determined that this is a bug in their code. (It was masked by a timing issue in 3.5 that was fixed in 3.6.) We've worked with them to develop a fix but they may not have deployed it yet.

  • It's now over 6 weeks since I made the mistake of updating my iPad and I am furious and frustrated at the lack of a solution to the problem with ios 5 audio app missing lyrics

It’s now over 6 weeks since I made the mistake of updating my iPad and I am furious and frustrated at the lack of a solution to the problem with ios 5.
I recently updated to ios 5.1 but nothing has been done to rectify the audio app problems ie lyrics no longer shown,
I am extremely disappointed and angrywith those responsible for the iOS 5 update, in regard to the way it hasaffected the music app in my iPad.
I also own an iPhone 4, am an avid Apple fan, and up until now have beenextremely pleased with the devices, and have sung their praises to friends andassociates.
I am a professional musician, and purchased an iPad primarily to use with theperformance of my music.
The changes made to the music app affected my performances over the weekendextremely adversely – limiting my repertoire and causing confusion and delays.
I have spent many hours talking withApple helpline assistants (who, incidentally have been very good and have triedto help), and I have also spent a lot of time on this letter.
I greatly regret updating to iOS 5.
There are two major problems with the music app.
    1. Lyrics no longer displayed
    2. Layout, and appearance and consequently performance have seriouslyregressed.
I have a repertoire of around 500 song backing tracks, organised into about 20playlists, half of which featured lyrics / chords that I have spent monthsrecently entering into iTunes so that they could be used on my iPad.
These were working fine up until the update - now they are gone.
Previously, the app featured large icons for playlist, artists, songs etc. atbottom of page: Now there are small, grey, indistinct barely legible buttons.
Previously, when playlist icon was selected - all the playlists were listedclearly in order on the left hand side in black on white (as in iTunes).
Now they are scattered across the whole page in large squares (displayingnothing if there is no album art).
The identifying wording below eachsquare is now small, grey, indistinct & barely legible.
Previously, when a playlist was selected - the songs were displayed in adescending list in black & white: now they appear as small, grey indistinct & barely legible.
Previously, when a song was selected - it appeared filling the page, and withaudio controls clearly positioned at top of screen. One tap would bring uplyrics.
Now audio controls appear at top once again small, grey, indistinct &barely legible.
A small square representsalbum art which if tapped fills page. A further tap fails to bring up lyrics.

Lyrics aren't supported in the Music app on iOS 5 on the iPad. These are user-to-user forums, they are not monitored by Apple (there are too many forums/threads/messages for that to happen). If you want to leave feedback for Apple then you can do so here : http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html

  • How can I complain about a lack of response to my questions?

What is iTunes complaints resolution procedure if one does not receive a response to Report a Problem in the iTunes store?

Depending on what you asked, you may not receive a response. If you are expecting one, allow at least one business day.

  • Moving all files back to Google Drive due to lack of response

Due to the utter lack of response to my syncing issues with Creative Cloud Desktop, I am now forced to move all of my files back to a more reliable solution (Google Drive).  I have given your company every opportunity to respond to this issue before I posted this message, but the complete dismay of this known syncing issue has left me no other choice.
As a long term client of Adobe and Macromedia for over 15 years, I cannot believe that you have chosen not to respond to this issue.  I felt brushed off from your live chat department, considering I spent over two hours trying to resolve the issue with them and they just kept passing me to different departments.  To make matters worse, the last individual I spoke to advised that the issue would be escalated because it is a known issue and there was no resolution.  I then received an email stating that my issue was resolved and therefore the case was closed.  This was completely untrue.  I cannot still sync files from my desktop to the cloud.   It appears the live chat operator just didn't want to have an open case (which would look bad for him), so he closed the case after we ended the chat.   I still receive several error messages that I have repeated to your team multiple times.
I then re-opened the case and filled out a survey expecting a response.  No response at all!  I have now posted three messages in this message board and no response at all.
I am sorry that I have to post this message, but I have given your company every opportunity to respond, but nothing.
With that said, I now will be moved my team's files back to Google Drive.

Gcoiro, I am also very disappointed with the live chat service. I spent over 2 hours trying to communicate with a live chat rep, and it became evident that the rep wasn't even reading my responses and questions during the conversation. Rather than try to make robots seem more human... let's try and make our humans seem less robotic, Adobe.

  • Lack of Response not sure anyone cares about loyalty anymore

I contacted customer service via email about purchasing a new MacBook Pro for my daughter with her College Money. When we purchased it we told the Best Buy employee about our difficulty getting her approved on the 3rd party website that checks her enrollment. We purchased the computer one day prior to going on vacation. We never could get her cleared and were going to send all of the numerous items to the 3rd part group but seeing that no one would do anything after 15 days it was pointless. My complaint is that now we cannot take advantage of the student discount and now the computer has also droped another $45 in price which is double frustrating. This was not my money but my daughters college money. If this was not my daughters money I probably would not even care but it was her hard earned money. I was very proud that she saved and was able to purchase this item and also pay for her own tuition. So now we are looking at a computer that is less than a month old and now could have purchased for $145 less if I went directy to Apple. If you look at my account I had previously been an Elite member for years and purchased all electronics and appliances from your store. Well now that I have eveything I need at my home I did not purchase as frequently so my Elite status dropped to a regular membership.Being in Sales and Marketing for the last 20+ years I know how important it is about communicationg with customers with opportunities with your company. This is why I wrote in the first place. The answer I received was a canned answer that did not give me a resolution or closure to my situation. I replied to the email and never received a response. I had been planning on purchasing another MacBook and IMacsince they are both over 5 years old and both previously purchased theough Best Buy as wereall of my appliances at my home along with Denon and Def Tech speakers. Not once was I given any reason to continue shopping with your company. Even a small gesture may have kept me shopping with you but nothing was offered. Through the years I have seen what a little customer service or lack of can do to a company. I am tempted to share this on Twitter, Facebook and any other way I can based on mere principle. The lack of response should tell others where their loyalty should lie.

    Hello Daoliv,
One of the goals to which we aspire is excellent communications with you and also with our other customers. While I am at a loss to explain why you have not had further contact as a result of your recent email to us, I know that you should have received a continuation of your conversation and I apologize for that not being the case.
As to your daughter's enrollment in our College Student Deals promotions, I recommend that she contact us so that we can work to resolve the issues that she has encountered. We offer the program so that our customers may avail themselves of it, not so that they have a new point of aggravation. I regret that this has been part of your experience.
Best Buy's Price Match Guarantee is a great way to ensure that you receive the best price on the products you purchase, but our requirement is that a request for price match be within the return period (usually 15 days). Outside of that time frame, we are unable to accommodate a request for price match.
With that said, I have some information for you about your recent Macbook Pro purchase, so please watch for a private message from me. To check your forum inbox, ensure that you have signed in with your user name and password, then click on the envelope icon in the upper right of this page.
I am extremely grateful that you took the time to share your ongoing experience with us.

  • My theory about lack of official response to 3G reception problem

If it's a real problem I think Apple isn't responding because then it would make news everywhere. If it can be fixed with a firmware upgrade then the problem goes away on it's own without having to acknowledge anything. Sure, there will be the few (relatively speaking) people who know they had the problem, but nobody will care once it's resolved.
I actually think the lack of a response might be a good thing because they think they can fix it in firmware. If they can't fix it with a firmware upgrade then they are just digging a deeper hole with every new iPhone they sell.
Of course, my theory could be totally wrong. But in a way I think it makes sense.

+If you read other forums, it's quite clear that the 3G reception issues only happen with US customers+
Not so.. people also post about problems in Switzerland, UK, Japan, Australia... etc.
Its not the signal strength showing on the display but the dropped calls that are the real concern for people.

  • Adobe's Responsiveness to 10.6 problems

I thought I'd start a thread just for the discussion of Adobe's responsiveness to the problems some are having with CS and SL.  There is too much hijacking of threads with rants going on in threads in which users are sincerlly looking for techincal help and users are sincerlly trying to offer techincal help.
So, to begin I just wanted to point something out to some of the "now now now" people screaming about crashes.  Snow Leopard was offically released Friday.  Whatever bug reports came into Adobe came in over the weekend.   I havent' seen the crashes, but depending on the crash they may not of even gone to Adobe, but gone to Apple instead.  Regardless assuming Adobe is getting them through thier crash reporting, they've hadall of 2.5 bussiness days to work on this.  Not all, but many people these days seem to think that companies can react instantly to things like this.  As if they have 60 employees standing by with nothing else to do but jump on the latest fire. That's simply just not realalistic.  If you wanted that you'd be paying thousands of dollars for your software, not hundreds.
Regadless companies these days are WAY more responsive these days then they were years ago, but we're still a long way, maybe even an enterinty away, from the responsiveness some people seem to expect.
I have to reiterate that if you installed SL and CS on a machine you use for your livelyhood without testing it yourself you need to learn a built about best bussiness practices.  It's your own damn fault.  Witness the self-loathing fools who write things like "I should have know better", well yes YOU SHOULD HAVE KNOW BETTER.
Dear Adobe, I expect a fix for this in the coming weeks...  hopefully by October 1st...  that seems reasonable...

It's slightly worse than you think:    reading crash reports and making sense of them is a lot like reading assembly language.  There aren't many engineers who can do it, and it takes time.      That being said, I've just spent the first 3 days of this week reading and categorizing crash reports.
That's time I should have been spending on features.
But frequent crashes aren't a good thing and need to be investigated quickly.

  • Odd touchscreen lack of response within one app

I am aware from the forum that a number of users have had touchscreen problems but as far as I can see the touchscreen on my new Xperia Z3 Compact is working fine....most of the time.
However ... with one app that has worked well on my earlier Motorola Razr Maxx (Android 4.1.2) I am getting odd results that I do not understand.  In the absence of any current response from the app developers I wonder if anyone here has any ideas what the problem may or how to fix it.
The app is Coton by Etamim Studio and it can be found at this link - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=air.com.etaminstudio.coton&hl=en
It is a paid app giving a cloud (those white things in the sky not the Internet related one) identification guide with some great images.  The main list screen has a vertical list of cloud names that can be scrolled down and then selected with a tap on the relevant line.  Then a description of the cloud type with images should pop up.  That worked fine on the Motorola but on the Xperia no clouds listed below about half way down the screen will bring up any details if tapped.  So clouds shown in the list above half way will bring up the details (possibly slowly) but those in the lower half do not.  I can scroll the cloud list up and down so with most I can bring them into the upper half of the screen and then access the details but the last 4/5 on the list can never be accessed in this way.  I know the relevant details are there as it is possible to get to them in other ways but this is long winded and not satisfactory.
I have closed and reopened the app and I have uninstalled and reinstalled it but still the problem continues.
I have run the on phone diagnostics and the screen checks out fine.  I have tried a screen testing app and the touch screen seems to work over all its area for both swipe and touch.  The phone's keyboard which appears in the lower half of the screen seems fine.  So as far as I can see there is no obvious hardware fault and similarly no obvious software fault with the phone but I cannot work out why the app should work on one phone and not on another.
I normally have a case on the phone but the problem continues even if I remove it.  There is a screen protector fitted which is the one supplied loose in the box (not the one that is on the phone when it arrives and has a pull tag at top right) however the tests referred to above have all been conducted after the screen protector was fitted so that should not be an issue.
I know this is an odd one and so will be grateful for any suggestions.
    Thanks in advance.

Contact the app developer regarding this issue.

  • What to Do About Lack of Responsiveness to Phone Failures

Service repair calls take a week, only to indicate that problems exist in Verizon equipment ... then nothing ...no followup, no service....total lack of commitment to customer. Online trouble reporting is hit-and-miss and access to human seems unlikely.   What to do to get attention to repair needs?

Unfortunately I had to do this a few years ago. My copper landline suddenly stopped working. Verizon said that they couldn't give me an estimate as to when they might fix it. The problem was that a connection a block away went bad and there were no more spares. Apparently Verizon really hates spending money maintaining their copper infrastructure; they hope we'll all switch to FioS. Anyway, I called the PUC and Verizon fixed my problem immediately. Shortly after, an aggrieved person from Verizon called to ask why I'd called the PUC on them. This is about to happen again. My landline has been useless for a week. Verizon broke 2 appointments to fix it - luckily I didn't need to be home. Then they closed the ticket. I just opened a new ticket; they suggest an appointment in 3 days, making 9 days from when I first reported it. In the new ticket, I said to fix this or I'll call the PUC. Verizon is required to provide phone service. I know this forum is monitored by Verizon. Do you have a comment?

  • Purchased Album Vanishes Overnight - no response from "reporting a problem"

I purchased and successfully downloaded an entire album, listened to one or two of the songs, and then the next day - iTunes cant find the original files for any of the songs. I am not storing my music on an external drive, and all 2700 of my other songs are still right there where they belong in the iTunes Music folder.
I've "reported a problem" every day at least once on the iTunes purchase history, but I have yet to get a response. That was one week ago today.
My concern is not so much where did my files go nor how it happened, I work in the tech industry so I know that sometimes things like that just happen. My main concern is that I have reported a problem well over 10 times, and I have had no response.
Am I just out the $9.99 for the album?
Is this typical of how iTunes Support is?
I've used iTunes for years now, and this is the first problem I have encountered in which I needed to use any kind of tech support - so I am unfamiliar with the process. Maybe I am not "reporting the problem" correctly, but it seems that there is really no other way to do it than:
    - *click on report a problem in the Purchase History section of my iTunes account page* -
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Problem solved - emailed iTunes support via the web site, and NOT through the account history page in the iTunes application itself.
I feel a bit silly for not trying that sooner...
    Oh well, lesson learned.

  • Captivate 8 responsive design sound file problem

I have imported a wav file into a Captivate lesson slide that is now overriding the narrative on every other slide in the lesson. When I delete the sound file, it still plays. How do I get rid of sound that I don't want? How do I prevent this kind of problem from happening again?
Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi
I hope you have upgraded to the latest captivate version 8.0.1.242. If not please follow the steps mentioned on this post Adobe Captivate Help | Adobe Captivate 8 patch. Make sure to remove layouts and preferences as mentioned in the link.
There is an issue with text in case of multi-hierarchal bullets but apart from that other things should work fine. You might just have to change some position parameters to fix the results. Can you please share the project, so that I can reproduce the issues at my end. My email address is [email protected] . You can send it via email or drop box.
Captivate responsive output works for multiple browsers. Please check the link Tech Specs - eLearning, mobile learning & Training Software | Adobe Captivate 8 for details.

  • Complaints - Lack of response - Please Help!

Here is a copy of an email that i have sent to BT twice in the last 4 days,  as yet i have not received a response or even an acknowlegement.
Hi I have a complaint about my BT bill that I tried to resolve with no success via telephone this morning.
I am currently a long-standing BT customer signed up to the unlimited anytime plan plus friends and family mobile at £4.99 month.  This is a continuation of a 12 month contract that I took out when I returned my calls to BT.  Upon checking my bill (more closely than usual) I have discovered a discrepancy between what I thought I was paying and what I am actually being charged each month.  If I log onto MYBT.COM>PHONE>CALLING PLANS & ADD ONS it states that my monthly charge including line rental is £16.53 ( I appreciate that this may increase by 50p to reflect another Line rental increase).  However when I then look at the PDF copy of my latest Bill it states that my Calling Plan and line rental is £19.28, if I remove my £1.25 paper discount this equates to £17.78 not £16.53 as stated on YOUR website MYBT.COM when I log in.
When I spoke to one of your billing representatives today 'RAVI' said that he would refund the additional amount I have been paying on condition I signed up for another 12 month contract.  When I said that this was unacceptable to expect me to agree to another minimum term contract when the error was BT's he said that was all he could do.
He stated that I was on the unlimited calls plan but was being charged £5.99 as I was not 'in contract' I explained that when I reached the end of my last minimum term contract that I spoke to BT and they advised that I would continue on the £4.99 deal without agreeing to a new contract term.  Whilst the amount in dispute is very little I am somewhat disappointed in the way that this has been handled.  Imagine if BT were to apply this charging model to all customers the amount would be very substantial.
I have always said to others that I have stayed with BT because whilst they are not the cheapest they were the best at what they do.  Maybe it is time to reconsider where I should be routing my line rental and calls in the future.
I would like to hear your views on this matter
On another note when I try to complain via your ‘helpful’ website using the following link http://bt.custhelp.com/app/contact_email/c/2702,2706 I keep getting an error message saying ‘Your phone number must begin with a 0 or 1’  I have filled in the form correctly and cannot seem to submit it
Thanks in advance for any help.
