LACP between optical port and RJ45 port ?

Dear all:
I got one problem about lacp. This is the case:
Our core switch is cisco 4506e switch, and recently we got one huawei s5700-28C-EI which uplink to our cisco 4506. We want to enable lacp between them. But there is one problem, my s5700 and 4506e all just leave one 10GE port. I know they cannot support lacp between 10GE and 1GE now. So  I want to enable lacp between 1GE optical port and 1GE RJ45 port.  May I ?

Etherchannel does not care about the media in use as long as the speeds/duplex etc. are the same so you should be able to mix copper and fibre into the same etherchannel.

  • Diff between the J2ee port, webdispatcher port and ICM port

    HI All,
Can some one please explain the diff between the web dispatcher port and J2ee port, I am able to under stand the diff between the web dispatcher port and the ICM port. What I understood is that all the requests will be passed to ICM through the web dispatcher , but what is the j2ee port refers ?
    Thanks & Regard
    Rajesh Meda

    Hi Rajesh,
The Webdispatcher,ICM servers as services to reach the ABAP and Java stack respectively. ICM is thread oriented.
Any communication flows through Webdispatcher ---> ICM ---> ABAP/Java Stack.
Every instance has a ICM process in it. Webdispatcher is mainly used for load balancing and to be placed in DMZ zone for more protection of the communication channel. All the communication happens via port . Each of the service can be reached by independent ports or via Webdispatcher>ICM> J2ee.
Like direct port for J2ee we also have direct port for ABAP message server.
Hope this clarrifies. Kindly let me know in case of further queries.

  • "in port" and "out port" VIs are not in the functions palette!

    Hi,
I am using LabVIEW 2012 on a Win 7 64 bit. I want to read a digital input (3.5V) using PC parallel port. I also read this white paper:
    http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/B937AC4D8664E37886257206000551CB
I searched all the functions palette for “in port” and “out port” VIs but I could not find them. Apparently they are not supported in 64bit OS. What are my alternatives for reading digital input via PC parallel port?
    Thanks.

They have not been supported for quite some time. What happens when you use the recommended VISA api?

  • How to revert p4 port and telnet port from 50204 to default?

    Hi,
i changed the p4 port and telenet port to 50204 using Visual Administrator. Now Visual Administrator and the J2EE server are both down. Is there some way I could revert back my ports to the default ports?
Also, my J2EE dispatcher process is down with an exit code of -11113. Could someone let me know how to change the port settings for telnet and p4 please?

    Hi,
You can do this through "ConfigTool". It is a offline tool and comes handy when JAVA system is down. It requires only database up.
Start configtool.ba from the directory "<Drive>:\usr\sap\<SID>/JC01\j2ee\configtool.
Then select the node Cluster Data->Instance_<No.>->Dispatcher_ID<No.>->
    1). P4->Local Properties
In the port you have to mention 5<instance no.>04
if you instance number is 01 then it should be 50104
    2). telnet->Local Properties
in the port you have to mention 5<instance no.>08
if your instance number is 01 then you have to mention 50108.
Then try to restart the JAVA system.
    Best regards,
    sheo

  • Can I use "accesshw.zip" to make the in port and out port VIs work (for NT) for Labview 6.0.2.

I am trying to write to the parallel port using labview 6.0.2 (vi attatched). It does not seem to be working with NT though it does with Win 98.
The information about the software (accesshw.zip)mentions versions 4.x and 5.x only.
Please refer to the link given below:

    thanks.
    Pari.

    Hi Rob,
I cannot completely agree..... Please find attached a
accesshw_lv6.llb. Originally it was made for LV5; now in LV6-version) This .llb contains accesshw-files for use under NT & W2k. These files work, if you store them (!! including the sub.vi's !!) into: C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 6\vi.lib\platform\system.llb (this should be the typical path). The "old" In Port and Out Port vi's have to be substituted. Find in addition a simple test-program for use with scope in order to test
the execution speed / toggeling of bits.....see the scope-picture copied into diagram. In addition I strictly recommend the use of buffer-circuits in order not to destroy the mainboard-IC's by accident. If somebody needs schematics or programs rela
ted to parallel port - example see jpeg-file please mail to: [email protected]

  • Cisco 5 port and 8 port gigabit unmanaged switches

I am looking for 5 port and 8 port gigabit unmanaged switches in Cisco. Please provide the BoM for the same. As per my understanding the following switches can suffice the requirement (SG100D-05 and SG100D-080) however I am not sure about the DC power, whether they can be used in normal AC environments.

The SG100D-05 and SG100D-08 are too small and their power requirements are too low to justify building an AC power supply into them like the larger SGx00 switches have, so they are wired to accept DC power and use an external power adapter (included) for connection to an AC environment.
There are really no optional components to these devices, so the BOM would be as follows:
    5-port SG100D swich: SG100D-05
    8-port SG100D swich: SG100D-08

  • Optical audio and display port

my question is about the display port and optical audio. This both devices has the same quality? if not, why the MACs doesn't have the optical audio? tks

both are digital it's 0's and 1's quality dont end up with 1/2's and -1's so all digital audio would be of equal quality if in the same bit range and sample rate

  • Diff between file potr and trfc port

    hi all
what is the differance between file port and trfc port

Port is the name of the channel by which the SAP system exchanges electronic data with an external system.
In general, You conect a USB to the system thru a USB port and the system recognises the USB thru the port.
Similar is in the case of SAP also.
In SAP you often have to send data between SAP - SAP/ Non -SAP systems. this transfer of data between systems is done thru ports.
The types of ports available in SAP are,
    TRFC port,
    ABAP port,
    Fike Port,
    XML port,
    HTML port.
There are various technical methods for implementing this type of communication (port types). The selection of the port type depends on the technical configuration of the external system.
For example, most EDI subsystems read IDocs in the form of sequential files - that is, the port type "file" is used.
TRFC is a type of port used when the data being exchanged is Transactional data.
Data can be transferred between two SAP systems reliably and safely via transactional RFC (tRFC).
The TRFC was renamed from Asynchronous RFC to Transactional RFC, because asynchronous RFC has another meaning in SAP systems.
The remote system need not be available at the time when the RFC client program is executing a tRFC. In SAP systems, the tRFC component stores the called RFC function together with the corresponding data in the database, including a unique transaction identifier (TID). This ensures that the called function module executed exactly once in the RFC server system.
TRFC port is used when we are sending the data which has to be sent quickly, in small packets and when it doesnot need to wait for the reply.
Also, when we have to send standard data ie., standard Idoc etc, we do it using TRFC port, it doesnot allow to do additions to the data being sent. for that we need to use ABAP port.
You can goto the tcode we21 and check out the various ports available.

  • Is there a difference between designated port and root port?

    Hi,
I am reading up the Cisco press books and have some difficult understanding whether there is a difference in designated port and a root port?

    Hi Shaik,
This explanation is too simple. What if u cascade some switches? Not all are directly connected to your root.
Next, bridge ID is only taken into consideration when determining which one will become the root. If u connect a switch to another with two links, the switch with the lower bridge-id becomes the root, but now u still don't know whitch port is the root port. U'r right when saying port cost is determined, but port cost is only the bandwith divided by a default constant (FE 100Mbit the constant is 10000000, i think), if its equal again u only have the port-ID as the last choice.
BUT only if the switch recieves on both Ports equal cost BPDU's from its root(refer to my first posting in this thread)!
U'r right.... a designated port is in forwarding state. It is forwarding the (lowest cost) BPDU's onto the connected segment. But if u have your lower end switch connected with two links to a non-root switch, u will encouter the same problem(s.o.).
I don't want to go against everyone here. But understanding STP is a nessassity in LAN Troubleshooting. So please be lenient against me.

    Sebastian

  • Write to serial port and digital port at the same time

    hello,
I need to write to the digital port and the serial port at the same time. Right now I have the two vi's (to write to the serial port, write to the digital port) in the sequence structure. First I write the digital port, then write the serial port. Using the oscilloscope, the interval between these two executions is 10 ms; and I need to reduce this interval to as small as possible. I would appreciate help in any way. Thank you.

    Hello;
This is a little tricky. Since the transition from one sequence to another is completely Software timed, and windows manages all tasks that are running at one given time, there isn't a method to reduce that transition time.
The most you can do is try to optimize your code so all the time expent on the transition is due only to the task management.
    Hope this helps.

  • Nas-port and nas-port-type

I recently replaced my home 1721 running 12.4(3g) with a demo UC520 running 12.4(11r)XW from work to become more familiar with it. I had my 1721 setup for PPTP dial-in with RADIUS authentication back to an SBS 2008 and everything worked great. When I swapped out for the UC520 with the same AAA settings it would not connect. Further inspection found that the nas-port-type and nas-port aaa attributes were not being passed to the RADIUS server so the VPN Access Policy was not being used. Is this a bug or do I need to tweak a few things for this version of IOS?
    Any tips would be appreciated.

  • Esata Port and USB Ports Not working

My USB ports have not been working for a long time. They will charge my phone, but windows doesnt pick them up nor any other device I connect via any of the USB ports. I recently took my computer into a shop to have them fix a wire that had come undone
and asked them to look at my USB ports and figure out why they werent working. When I got it back they told me the USB ports were connected to the motherboard and to get them to work they would need to replace the motherboard. They said however that the Esata
port worked and I asked them if I could use that to connect my USB from my iPhone in order to connect to itunes. They said with an adapter it should work. So I bought the adapter and of course when I connect the USB in to it, the computer wont recognize the
device. I even tried connecting the USB directly into the Esata port and still nothing, but it will charge the phone, just not recognize it.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
The computer is a Dell Inspiron N7010 running Windows 7

    Hi,
Obviously, you can't connect USB directly into Esata port, for they are not compatible.
Attempt to install your phone usb driver and then check if it works.
If not, it should be related to your adater, not all adapters support data transfer.

  • Can i use ALL usb ports and firewire port at same time??

can you plug in two usb devices and a firewire device, all at the same time??
    into macbook or macbook pro....
macbook manual says, one high powered usb device can be plugged in.
but i dont know if they mean into each port, or at one time in total.
i just spoke to apple, and they told me to call support. i havent even bought the laptop yet.
i want to plug in a fast track pro audio interface = usb
a mouse = mouse, akai mpd16 drum pad = usb, and a 7200rpm firewire external hard drive..........so all my ports i wanna be using at the same time.
is this possible? or will macbook and the macbook pro differ in performance regarding this issue?
say if i buy a usb hub and plug in 5 usb devices...........possible?
    or is their limitations??
    thanks in advance.

    dwb wrote:
MacBook - since I was replying to a MacBook question it wouldn't have exactly made sense to refer to my iMac experience, right?
BTW - there are two caveats. First, USB and FW ports can supply power to the devices that are plugged in but there is a limit to how much power they can supply which is why you should always use a powered hub if you are using a hub. If you are using your computer on battery, don't attempt to use an unpowered hub to plug in more devices. Second, if you are on battery, obviously the more unpowered USB/FW devices you have plugged in getting their power from the computer, the faster your battery will be drained.
An unpowered hub shouldn't pull in more than 500 mA. If it's four 100 mA devices plugged into the same hub, it wouldn't use more than a single 500 mA device like maybe a self-powered hard drive. Plugging in stuff like a USB mouse and a flash drive shouldn't consume too much power.
If you're already on battery power then I don't know if it would make much sense to say that one needs a powered hub; where's the power source? I know there are a few (rare) battery-powered USB hubs out there, but I don't know that many people who have them.

  • Dual Ethernet Ports, and Air Port Wifi

I have a early 2008 and 2009 Mac Pro and was wondering if there was a way to connect both ethernet ports and the airport wifi as one "adress" so i would essentially have 3x the bandwith for downloading/uploading, etc.
This is in both Snow Leopard and Win XP Via Boot Camp

You might start by reviewing this thread and associated links:
    http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=57382.
Apparently it should be possible to link the ethernet ports together but not the wireless.

  • Bridge between airport card and ethernet port

My son wants to access the internet through the ethernet port to connect his xbox 360. My airport extreme base station is upstairs and my powermac g5 is in the basement and connects to the internet through the airport network (airport extreme card to base station). One of his friends says he can configure a bridge between his wireless card and his ethernet port on his windows computer and was trying to do it on my mac. Can a bridge be configured between the airport extreme card and the ethernet port on the g5 which will allow an ethernet device to connect to the internet? Any advice will greatly appreciated. Thank you.
    Larry

I have used an external ethernet bridge in the past. What I am wondering is: How can the airport card be configured to create a bridge to the ethernet port on the computer, so the game console could be connected to the back of the g5 with an ethernet cable and then connected to the tv with a/v cables. Do I have to use some external device to provide an internet connection to the game console or is there some way to share the connection from the airport card to the ethernet port?
