Last question on this...  Subtitles. What's the quickest workflow?

Is it time effective and easier just to go ahead and do them in DVDSP 4? Or are there easier ways of going about it? Perhaps a seperate program that I don't know about...
As always, thanks in advance for your suggestions...

If you are going to a large amount of subbing in the future then I would say you need to invest in software to do it externally. Normal what you do is use a Quicktime version of your movie (doesn't normally have to be full size - i.e. you can do a smaller frame size and poorer quality than normal as you are only using it for reference). You load that Quicktime into the software and using it's timecode create your subs and then make an STL file (which is basically a Text file with in and out timecode references plus other formatting commands). This is then imported into your track in DVD-SP.
STLEDit used be a good bet for this but don't think it's made/supported anymore. belle Nuit is another. On the PC there are others like Subtitle Workshop which may folk use I believe. Subtitle Workshop is free I think - Belle Nuit costs.
If your aren't doing many subbed projects (we do loads hence have invested in the external software) - say this is a one off - then using DVD-SP internal subbing tootls is probably the way to go. Just be aware that they are not very flexible if you have to do things like shift all the subs one way or the other if maybe your original movie gets re edited or some such... Though there are softwares out there that can extract the subs from DVD-SP once created...
