I am buying a lot of 20 thinkpads model T4X. And an issue appear, this is that the destination of all this lot is Peru. There they use the Latin America Keyboard distribution. I have been looking for this kind of keyboard (FRU 08K5058) but it seems that no one have it. I want to know if IBM still have this part in inventory or if they can refer me an reseller.

No Latin America Keyboards

It seems that there is no visible support for Latin American Keyboards, the closest thing is the Spain Layout, but of course, the use of this particular layout is annoying!... I really hope that someone can prove me wrong.

Hello I want to buy online in U.S. a workstation w520 but I can not configure the keyboard in Spanish or Latin American.
I was reading the forums and concluded that I would buy it separately and one of those listed on this site.

How can I change an english/american keyboard to a danish one on a Macbook Air?

Apple menu / System Preferences / Keyboard / Input sources.
Click + (bottom left) and in the pane that comes up, select Danish on the left, and click Add.
Of course that can only change what the keys actually input, not what is written on the keys. If you wish to change the physical look of the keys as well, get in touch with Apple and ask if they can replace the keyboard.

I also would like that Ecuador be include in the Latin American plan or in the plan Mundo sin límites Skype plan.

i installed solaris express developer edition 05/07 and i select "Spanish UTF8" in language in loggin screen, and later in gnome desktop in input methods, i add the spanish language, but i can't type the �,�,�,�,�,� letters.

American Keyboard work in U.K on G4 OSX 10.4.11???

Hey Guys/Gals,
I have a brand new keyboard which I purchased from a fellow Ebayer here in the U.K. I wrongly assumed that buying from the U.K would give me the 'British English' version. Following delivery I noticed a strange code on the box and on further investigations realised it is the American varsion so have yet to open the box. I have asked the sellar for explanation of the transaction but he has yet to reply!!
Question is can I use the American version or are there compatibility issues such as $$$ signs instead of £££ signs or any other issues??

American keyboard on a French MacBook

Hi!
I have recently exchanged my keyboard cause some keys didn't work but instead of installing a french azerty keyboard (like the one I used to have), I decided to install an american, qwerty one. I now need to adapt my MacBook preferences to this new keyboard cause at the moment when I press Q I get an A etc. (my mac is still in azerty mode).
Please could you help me work this out but do note that I am still a complete loser when it comes to IT stuff and mac.

Miss Z, I think all you need to do is go to System Preferences > International. Then click on the tab "Input Menu" at the top of the pane. Scroll down until you see an American flag and "U.S."; put a check mark into the little box. Also uncheck the box next to French. You should be good to go.
As an alternative, giving you more flexibility, you can put a check into the box at the bottom of the same pane that says, "Show input menu in menu bar". Leave the box next to French checked in that list at the top. Now, simply by going to the little flag you'll see in your menu bar, you'll be able to switch from the qwerty to the azerty layout whenever you like.

Type pressing the following keystrokes:
+Option & e+, then e
+Option & u+, then u
+Option & a+, then a.
You can mix and match the above.
Alternatively navigate to Apple menu > System Preferences > International > Input Menu and set the keyboard to French. Also check to show the Input Menu in the menu bar so that you can make the change quickly.

I have got an iPad mini that i have buyed in the United States, i can`t sync my iPad mini with iTunes, i have made all the things that says in this tutorial.
But when the PC booted and connected my iPad, Windows did not detected my iPad, i tried to restart Apple Mobile Device Handler, but it did not work , i NEED to make my iPad to sync, in this computer i have all my music.

make one last pass and make sure you are using the most current version of I tunes for windows.
You might also want to turn off any A.V. or firewall you might be running, and see if that makes a difference.

Does anyone how to create a document of Chinese documents using a pinyin entry system in either Appleworks or MS Word? I once had the feature set up in Word, but I am unable to recreate it. I recently installed the Microsoft Language Register, but I am not sure if that is the correct utility to use nor how to use it. Thank you!

Latin American Roaming...

Looks like I'll be spending 10 days in Costa Rica in January and plan to take my iPhone along for ANY stray WiFi that is available. IF I turn my "Data Roaming" and 3G off, is there any way I might get nailed for extra phone charges?

Don't think so. You can turn airplane mode on, and turn wi-fi on as well.

Change Keyboard Layout, But Keep Language

I have a MacBook with USA keyboard layout.
While installing, by mistake i selected Latin American keyboard.
Now, i want my language to still be "Spanish/Argentina", but they keyboard layout should be USA.
How can i do that? Note that I don't want to have many input keyboards and then have to switch between latin and english language.

I don't see an option to change "keyboard layout" only.
Do you really not see the Tab called Input Menu under system preferences/international? There are boxes to check for keyboard layouts, and one is called US.
Another Tab is called Language, and there you can put Spanish (actually Español) at the top to keep your OS in Spanish.
Another Tab, in the middle, is called Formats.
PS If you want to type Spanish with the US layout, you can use the Option/Alt key shortcuts. A list can be found here:
