Learning order

I gotta start learning the foll.
servlets,EJB,JDBC
(am familiar with other basic java concepts)
which order is the best ?
pls can someone suggest as am unsure abt how they are inter-related
thanx in advance :)

Most apps come down to DB in the end,
1. go for jdbc to Frame.
2. and learn simple web-app JSP, which is really the same as a servlet, (though uncompiled)
... don't know much about EJB though

  • How to learn Order Entry modules

    Hi
Does anyone has recomendations as to what is
the best way to learn about the Order Entry
and other Oracle Applications Modules. We are currently
using ver 11.0.3 and we will be upgrading during the coming year. I want to learn the current Oracle applications functionality (starting with order entry)
before we reach the upgrade face.
The user guide have good information except that they
do not explain sometimes what the process really means
and its context within the global picture.
getting information out of the functionals seems to be an impossible job
Is there a place I can get such info?
    Thanks

You can try the white papers on metalink. These are usually written with functional people in mind. Or see if your company will send you to an Oracle education class. There one called 11i Oracle Order Management Fundamentals that might help you.

  • Learning Java in order?

Is there a specific order to learning java. What I mean is, I hava already gone through the fundementals of java at the Java fundementals tutorial on the java.sun.com tutorials page. Now that I have gone through that what is next? JDBC? Servlets? JSP? I hardly ever use swing, or applets, but I need to also study enough of everything so that I can take the java certification exam later. But, I still dont know if there is a learning order to java. Do I need to learn servlets before JSP, or vise versa. Do I need to know JDBC stuff before I learn Servlets or JSP? The java tutorials page is not in any order except in the date that the tutorial came out. They still have tutorial that go back to 1997, and I am sure some things have changed since. They also have specialized areas, such as Collections, JavaBeans, RMI, etc... I am confused on this. Could someone give me a clue.
    orozcom

    Duffy,
Thanks for the response. I looked at the tutorial
again, and their is another java trail, "Essential
Java Classes", which covers: exception handling,
threads, io reading and writing, setting program
attributes, and accessing system resources. I think I
will go over that information first. Then, I may go
into the specialized trials that have collections and
what not. after that, I think I will go into the J2EE
stuff, doing Servlets, and JSP's unless I need to
learn that stuff before hand. Tell me what you think.I think that's wise.
    Here is the site:
    http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/index.html.
Do you think I need to go over the basics of Swing,
Applets, GUI's, and in the order they specify?Personally, I don't use applets at all, but I know some folks here do. On those occasions when I have a UI, it's usually Web-based, so JSP and HTML are more important to me. I have done Swing, but not in a long time. Swing is worth knowing, and all learning is good, but the decision about where to spend your time is up to you.
All I'm saying is make sure you have J2SE firmly in hand before you venture into J2EE, because J2EE builds on J2SE.

  • Ship-to , bill-to

    hai all,
    i am learning Order Management.
In the order screen there is one field named Ship To Location
The values of that column comes from which table .
In which table BILL-TO and SHIP-TO location addresses will be stored and how to find this id belongs to SHIP-TO address and BILL-TO address.
    I got
    party_site_id from HZ_PARTIES
    party_site_use_id from HZ_PARTY_SITE_USES
    Thanks and regards
    aaditya

    Hi,
Locations are stored in HZ_LOCATIONS. I suggest you going through the Metalink Note 220383.1 (TCA FAQ) and also on Metalink -> Knowledge Browser -> Financials -> Trading Community Architecture to gain more clarity on HZ objects (These objects belong to TCA - Trading Community Architecture).

  • Handling Purchase Orders in SAP Learning Solution

    Hi all,
We are currently looking into having purchase orders closely integrated in our SAP Learning Solution, meaning that all courses, internal and external, that comes with a prize have purchase order information on it. Meaning the manager approves the purchase order (and thereby the participation on the course) in a workflow.
The approval yields a course booking and Finance has all the needed information based on cost center and organization data.
Please help as we are currently seeing this task as almost impossible to handle in the current setup.
    Best regards

Noone has worked with Purchase Orders in connection with participation in courses before, find that a bit scary Not sure how we'll handle this development than...

  • What profile is required in order to learn Oracle Utilities?

    Hi,
I'm a DBA Oracle 10g, a company wants to give me some courses about Oracle Utilities, but I dont know what is the profile o the skills that I have in order to learn this tecnology.
Can anybody give more information about it?
    Thanks

You may want to more specific regarding what Oracle Utilities the company wishes to provide training for you. This particular area of the Oracle forum is dedicated to "utilities" in the sense of the electric, water and gas utilities industry. This may or may not be what you mean by Oracle Utilities.

  • Adobe CS5.5 Design Premium - What is the most logical order to learn the programs in this suite?

Okay, so I want to become a real Adobe fan.  I have CS5.5 Design Premium, I am running Windows 8, I have both a digital camera and video recorder and I have a Bamboo drawing tablet.
What would be the most logical order to learn the programs in the Adobe CS5.5 Design Premium?
Could you provide recommendations for using the online video trainings?

The most logical order is dictated by your own needs. Sorry to be so blunt, but trying to determine the order of which tools and workflows based on "I'm hip when I know Photoshop." or similar is bound to take you nowhere. Any of the individual programs has more features than even pros who use them every day will ever use. Everyone only uses the part relevant to get the work done. That being so, you could be watching tutorials for the next 5 years every day and still not have learned anything relevant. With that in mind there's realyl only two reasonable ways to learn:
    a) Attend a structured course.
    b) Come up with an idea for a specific project of your own.
A good place to start would be e.g. creating a photographic essay/ story - shoot some photos, edit them in PS, create a layout in ID, some logo in AI. Then you can look up specific tutorials for techniques as you go along.

  • Is there an order in which i should learn the CC/CS applications? Does it help in a certain order?

I'm new to all CS applications, though I'm familiar wit the concepts. I just bought CC and want to start teaching myself how to use each app (primary end goal being photoshop, illustrator, and inDesign). is there an order in which i should learn the apps that makes it easier to comprehend it and others?
    thanks!

    Hi Blair,
Personally, I think they are all unique enough in their own right that the order wouldn't really matter. I'm biased towards Photoshop. You might want to spend time going through the content here:
    http://tv.adobe.com/show/learn-photoshop-cc/
    http://tv.adobe.com/show/learn-illustrator-cs6/
    http://tv.adobe.com/show/learn-indesign-cc/
    and here
    https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/products.html
If you already know the concepts, it will be a matter of learning the interface and how to apply the concepts in practice.

  • Correct order to learn Adobe CS4 programs?

I'm new to graphic design, I have all the Lynda tutorials I need so I want to know the correct order in which I should learn the CS4 suite Programs.
For example - am I supposed to start with Photoshop, then Illustrator, then ??? (you get the idea)

Oh sorry I was pretty vague in my post, let me expand a little.
I have Adobe CS4, I would like to work in commercials making, maybe start a graphic design studio on the long term. On the short term maybe work in special effects or animation, and I also like to create websites but I don't know the graphic tools yet.
So looking at this in a medium-long term how should I start learning the programs, since Adobe covers most of the tools for all this kind of thing, and I would like to know most of them, maybe I won't be the best at any of them until I found the one I need to use the most depending on the goal I'm working for at the moment.
You have to start somewhere and from there try to go up, so I started with Photoshop for graphic manipulation and retouching, so any advice on the matter would be helpful.

  • I accidentally deleted part of an iphone (4s) note. Is there a way to restore the deleted text? I learned too late about being able to shake the iphone in order to undo my action, so is there any other way?

I accidentally deleted part of an iphone (4s) note. Is there a way to restore the deleted text? I learned too late about being able to shake the iphone in order to undo my action, so is there any other way?

Restoring a phone from a backup will put the device back to the state it was when the backup took place, i.e. all info that you had on that phone before using the backup will be gone.
You could try to restore the phone, which will back up the actual data on the phone, including the passcode, and use this backup to set up a new phone with. The passcode will still be the same, because it is  part of the backup.
More info here, iPhone and iPod touch: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
Not being able to fill in the passcode is not much different from forgetting it.
If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Refer to Updating and restoring iPhone, iPad and iPod touch software.

  • Order to learn languages

    Hi
im just starting to learn C programming language. In the future i would like to be able to develop apps for the iphone, ipod touch and ipad. Could any body tell me the order to learn the languages required to program apps. After C what next etc. Im also soon getting an imac so i will then be able to experiment in Xcode Im also going to college to study it practitioners (software development)
    thanks for your help

If your primary intent is to develop for IOS devices, then you can start with Objective-C directly. Although Objc is an extension of C, you really do not need heavy C knowledge to work with Objc. Once you are comfortable with Objc, you can slowly learn more of C, since you may need to access regular C libraries in your applications.

  • Which path Do I need to follow in order to learn E-Business?

Who knows where is the best point to get started on the way to learn E-Business?
I have technical skills like Oracle Developer (forms, Reports, PL/SQL, Few Discoverer, etc). This help?
Let me know any comment good or bad even any experience with the tool.
It will cost me more than six months to have the basis.??
    Thanks in advance

    Hi all,
I want to become an APPS applications technical developer. I have nearly 3 years of experience in Pl/Sql and SQL and around 2 years of experience in Oracle Forms. Currently I am in Singapore for a Pl/Sql Project. And I am about to start learning Oracle APPS on my own using the above mentioned docs.
But after learning the same, kindly please guide me, regarding what best are my employment opportunities in Singapore with this profile. Because by that time I will not be having any Work Experinece in Oracle APPS (but only knowledge in Oracle APPS) and will companies in Singapore be ready to take a person with this kind of profile (One who has technical and work experince in Oracle Pl/Sql, Forms and Reports + technical knowledge and no work experince in Oracle APPS) ?
I am in a big dillema on this and so kindly please help me on the same.
    Regards,

  • Trying to learn Dreamweaver, weird icon order

Why are the icons in a different order from my mac to my pc if version and workspace are the same?

Mac OS sorts ALL files alphabetically (folders included) WIndows sorts by type and then alphabetically. Personally, I prefer the Windows sorting method, but... given all that my Mac does so much better than either of my PCs... I'll live with it.
Mac also uses a decimal system as opposed to binary for determining file size too, so a 5kb file on a Mac shows as a 4.6kb file on a PC.

  • Learner question on sales order and purchase order

    dear SDN,
I am a bit confuse about PO and Sales Order.
My understanding is a Sales order is a contract from customer to sales organization.
But a PO is also something like that am i right?
I learnt that to create a Sales order you need the customer number and PO number.
So, am i right to say that a Sales order is created by the sales organization after receiving the PO raised and issue by the customer?
So they are basically the same thing but created by different parties?
    Is my understanding correct?
    Best regards
    MZ

    In Other words,
Lets consider we as a vendor to our customer.
our customer will place an order with us,  requiring some materials and for his reference within his company he will refer a number which is called as purchase order. ( this PO number will be a reference for our activities like payment request etc. with our customer).
the Sales order is a copy of our internal tracking information, for the requirement raised by our customer. so with in our company we will refer this SO number while if we need to communicate something to the customer we will refer with his PO number as he may not be aware of our internal numbering system.
This should not be confused with the Sales Order & the Purchase Order within our SAP system.
Sales Order - Relation with the customer & company. (outgoing materials for a company normally)
Purchase Order - Relation between vendor & company ( incoming materials for a company normally).
