Leng of str

hi,
i wont to find the length of string how couled i do that?
regards

Hi
STRLEN( ).
Finding the Length of a Character String
The ABAP function STRLEN returns the length of a string up to the last character that is not a space.
[COMPUTE] <n> = STRLEN( <c> ).
STRLEN processes any operand <c> as a character data type, regardless of its real type. There is no type conversion.
As with mathematical functions, the keyword COMPUTE is optional.
Example:
DATA: INT TYPE I,
WORD1(20) VALUE '12345'.
WORD2(20).
WORD3(20) VALUE ' 4 '.
INT = STRLEN( WORD1 ). WRITE INT.
INT = STRLEN( WORD2 ). WRITE / INT.
INT = STRLEN( WORD3 ). WRITE / INT.
The results are 5 , 0, and 4 respectively.

  • Is it possible to do goods movement with reference to PR or STR?

My client wish to follow following process for fulfilling the material requirement.
    1. User will create Purchase Requisition or stock transport requisition.
    2. Purchase dept. will check the stock and will ask stores to issue the goods if available. This goods movement should be reflected in PR as history. There won't be any creation of PO or STO.
    3. If stock is not available then Purchase dept will create a PO or STO.
In the above process, can reservation be used instead of PR or STR ?  However problem is, this will lead to material getting reserved (Blocked), system will not allow goods movement (issue) for other issuances (for other departments who has not created reservation) if sufficient stock is not available in storage location.
What is the best possible solution for this?
    Thanks in advance,
    Sanjog

    Hi,
As per i understand your Problem i am suggesting.
See as you said the stock is already present in the system or stores this means previously it has been received with any GR based on PO. so you have the PO. and now why you want a amend in the system when there is defined sequential process steps in SAP for STO's or for any purpose.
Creation of GR/GI/TR's are important at user levels for moving the material's but at the time of audit/ Checks in SAP how you will deal with it i dont know. as all the database are made in such a format so that you can generate each and every Report of movement/ or material in SAP so that your client will also find some clear picture of there store's.
so try to convince your client for standard processes in SAP.

  • Connecting my new sony str hd800 to my Samsung LCD.

I want to make sure that HDMI out from the receiver to HDMI in on the TV is the way to hook up my receiver (Sony str dh800) to my Samsung LCD TV (think it is a 52" lcd 650)  I don't remember now but when I tried it (looked at it but didn't connect it) last night I didn't think it looked correct.  If I didn't need to help with the kids I probably would have tried it.  Just want to make sure!  Thanks!

right now I have it connected to the rca audio input on the tv

  • Planned Order to STR Conversion - incorrect Valuation Price

    Hi Experts
Not sure if you've encountered this before:-
Material A in Requesting Plant has Valuation Price of USD10.
Material A in Supplying Plant has Valuation Price of USD20.
Material A is planned through MRP in Requesting Plant with Planned Order as the output.
When Planned Order is converted into STR (MD14/MD15), the Valuation Price appearing in the STR picks up USD10 (from Requesting Plant), even though Supplying Plant is correctly defaulted in the STR.
    Any idea on the above?
Another observation - for the same STR created, if the Supplying Plant is cleared in Change Mode (ME52N), system will reassign the supplying plant accordingly, and the Supplying Plant (USD20) is now correctly updated into the STR.
    Thanks in advance

the valuation price of a purchase requisition is always copied from material master valuation view of the ordering plant.
there is no difference for requisition that is used for a stock transfer order to a sister plant, compared to a requisition that is used to purchase from an external vendor. It would be very confusing if SAP has a logic break within.
the valuation is used for release strategy.
most requisitions do not know from where they will be fullfilled, source determination is not mandatory in requisition creation process. this is the usual task of purchasing department. Hence the requisition can only know the valuation price of its own plant.

  • Sony Home Theater STR-DH800

I have a Sony HD TV and a Sony STR-DH800 home theater AV receiver.  I have a Charter Cable box.  I am running an HDMI cable from cable box straight to TV.  I am also running a Digital Audio cable from cable box to AV receiver.  I am getting sound on regular channels through receiver out of speakers but not on all HD channels.  You can hear the background noise but not people speaking.  Any suggestions.....I think it is a setting in the sony receiver.  Have changed cable boxes with same results.
    Thanks

Try cable box to the receiver and then from the receiver to the tv, both with hdmi.

  • No sound from subwoofer str-dn1050

I have a new Sony STR-DN1050 Receiver matched with a SA-CS9 Subwoofer that emits a test tone correctly so appears it is setup right but when music is playing (or TV/Movies) there is no sound coming from the Sub. I have turned the levels up as high as possible and still notice nothing. I have also tried running through all the preset options in the menus without success. As mentioned - the test tone works fine and the receiver configuration is set up as per the correct speaker configuration in the receiver menu. The SSCS310CR speakers sound rather lacklusture with the depth I had hoped to recieve by have a subwoofer so any assistance would be appreciated.

Sorted - speaker settings were on "large"...needed to be on "small". Suddenly the sub does more than collect dust.

  • STR-DH810, Panasonic plasma, and Wii

Haven't seen any discussion in 2011 yet concerning the STR-DH810 AV receiver, so I think I'm safe posting a new message.
Cannot get Nintendo Wii to display properly when connected through the receiver. Connection from Receiver-to-TV is a decent HDMI cable, on HDMI1. Comcast box connected via HDMI1, plays audio and video properly when receiver is set to HDMI1, yeah I have to rename it.
Using the Component video & audio cable, the Wii video is connected to the receiver on Component1, and the audio is connected to Audio In on Video1.
I've assigned Video1 to be Component1, and the resolution to Auto. I get a green Wii screen, split down the middle of my TV.
I assume I could have a bad HDMI cable or a bad component+audio cable on the Wii.
If the cables are fine, and the inputs I've chosen can support component, what settings do I need to change?
I understand the receiver can upconvert. I'm not concerned at this point from improving Wii's 480, as much as I just want it to work properly, before I disconnect it and go direct to a Component input on the TV, and go audio-only to the receiver.

I just thought about this when replying to an XBox 360 thread and researching Insignia TVs.
It appears that some TVs out there nowadays use the Green channel of the component inputs as the Composite video input for devices that only have composite (yellow cable) output. It seems that your TV thought that it was receiving a Composite signal, instead of a Component signal, which would explain why, at 480p, you got a green screen that was doubled-up. Something in the chain (Wii, cables, Receiver, TV) got set funky, which is why when you set it to 480i SD, it was all better.
Without seeing your setup, I can't say for sure which piece caused the issue, and I would hate to force you to troubleshoot it just for my sake; as you said, it's not like the Wii is a High Def device yet.
Glad to hear that it started working, though!

If you get an OCI error when simply updating a record in PL/SQL Developer, it sounds like a PL/SQL Developer issue, although not one I've come across. You might try Allround Automations tech support. They'll need your exact versions of Oracle server, Oracle client and PL/SQL Developer.
SQL*Plus is part of the Oracle Client software so you should have it somewhere, or you can download it free.

  • Does JWSDP 1.6 support STR transform?

Does anyone know whether JWSDP 1.6 supports STR transform? Thanks in advance for your help.

"http://www.w3.org/2001/12/soap-envelope" is a namespace from SOAP 1.2 working draft. The correct SOAP 1.2 namespace is "http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope".
JWSDP 1.4 does not support SOAP 1.2 anyway.

  • Sony STR-DN1040 audio cuts out briefly, frequently

Audio on my new Sony STR-DN1040 cuts out whan SAT/CATV is the source. This happens frequently (every 30 seconds to a minute, unpredictably), though it is only for a fraction of a second each time.
When the audio cuts out, the following items on the front display panel of the receiver all flash off momentarily:
    A.P.M.Dolby Digital SymbolD.L.L.
When I reconnect the cable box directly to the TV instead of the receiver (same HDMI cable), the audio issue goes away. I have tried resetting/clearing the receiver. Any thoughts/suggestions?

Thanks again for your suggestions! They are much appreciated.
I have noticed that the problem is apparent on some TV channels more than others. Some channels seem to cause the audio drop and other channels don't.
I have now tried attaching my Blu-Ray player to the SAT/CATV port using the same HDMI cable. The problem was not apparent (but I haven't noticed the issue with the Blu-Ray source previously, so perhaps that helps rule out the SAT/CATV port).
I also tried attaching the cable box/PVR to the BD port and the problem was still present (as mentioned earlier, mostly present on certain channels).
The software is up to date as of last week (ver. s9327.1074.0).
I also tried powering off and disconnecting everything, then reconnecting and powering everything on in the described order. The issue is still present, regardless of the HDMI input port that I use. As mentioned before, this happens only when I route the SAT/CATV signal through the receiver. When I bypass the receiver, by connecting the cable box/PVR directly to the TV, the audio does not cut out on the usual affected channels.

  • Is there any table or report that available in SAP for any PR/STR

    HI All,
Is there any table or report that available in SAP for any PR/STR that are remain opened after S/O canceled.
    Please advice at the earliest.
    Thanks
    Chandru

    Chandru,
Of course.  The standard MD06 transaction will display ALL MRP generated exception messages, and will take you to the individual material to allow you to determine how you wish to respond to it.
So, MD06>enter the plant.  Optionally, enter the controller if you wish to limit the results by planner.
If you are interested in Sales order cancellations, then these exceptions would be categorized by SAP as belonging to the  "exceptions during Scheduling" or "exceptions during availability" groups.  On the Exceptions group tab, select these two items (6&7), deselect the rest. Enter.
You are now presented with a list of all materials that contain one or more of these exceptions.  From the menu bar at the top, select Edit>Find.  If you get a 'statistics' popup, click through.  Select the 'Find Exceptions' tab.
Message 26 "excess stock in individual segment" means that in a MTO environment, you have more supply than demand against given order/items (as you would have if a cust. cancelled his MTO order).  Select this message.
Message 20 "Cancel Process" means that you have a supply element that has NO requirements (as you would have if a cust. cancelled his MTS order).  Select this messaege.
Message 15 " Postpone process" means that you have supply elements that are scheduled to be received earlier that necessary (as you might have if a Cust cancelled his MTS order). Optionally select this message.
Clik the green check.  You will now notice that certain rows on the listing are highlighted.  These are the ones that contain your problem children.  Hit the "glasses selected MRP list" button.
This takes you to the first MD05 of the highlighted items.  Review the problem.  Decide what to do:  Cancel a supply element?  Push out a supply element? Leave it alone?  Call customer service to discuss which order was cancelled and why?  etc etc etc...
Once you are done with the first material, clik on the 'next material' icon or hit Ctrl-F2.  Repeat.  Continue till all materials have been evaluated and resolved.
This works for any other MRP message as well.
    Regards,
    DB49

  • How to use STR function in expressions

    I'm having trouble trying to:
    a) concat 2 string + format specifiers like sprintf() does
    b) build 1 log string without weird characters being placed in the string as follows:
    str(global.name, "UseFile=1,File=c:\test.txt,Pgro=%s")
there is a wierd character right after the C:?
    rjmiller

You must use two backslashes after c: in your string. Backslash is used by the function to indicate a special character, like \n for new line. If you use c:\\test.txt it will come out like c:\test.txt. The first backslash means that the next character is a special character. The second backslash means that the special character is indeed a backslash. This is standard C syntax. I believe that \t is the special character for TAB, and that is why you were seeing the wierd character after c:.
