Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro: WiFi doesnt work after driver upgrade

After experiencing Wireless issues I tried to upgrade my Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro 13" with Windows 8.1 64Bit to the latest drivers from the lenovo support site.
Ever since I cannot connect to the WLAN anymore. What puzzles me is that the driver status in the device manager shows a different driver version than what I have installed (uninstalling the driver and reinstalling it doesn't change anything here).
What puzzles me is the Lenovo Website shows driver version 16.6.0.8 (released 25.Jan.2014, see link below), whereas my system display version is 16.6.2.1 (dated 31.10.2013). Hence I thought I have another version from somewhere else on my and removed all driver versions I could find.
Checking driver details I get the follow file versions:
   C:\windows\system32\drivers\NETwbw02.sys    version 16.6.2.1 Intel, dated 2011
   C:\windows\system32\drivers\Netwfw02.dat       no version or publisher
   C:\windows\system32\drivers\vwifibus.sys          version 6.3.9600.16384 Microsoft
Still, whenever I deinstall the driver, install the files from lenovo and click "Detect new device" my system pulls the drivers as listed above and is incapable of connecting to any WiFi.
Windows 8.1. shows no connections available and doesn't connect anymore.
How can I get my WLAN back?

hi Florian,
If Windows Update is configured to automatically fetch updates from Microsoft then the machine most likely have installed the Intel driver update for Intel(R) Wireless N-7260 as discussed in this article (which explains the different driver versions).
Things that you can try:
1. If the machine comes with the Intel(R) Wireless N-7260, navigate to:
- Device Manager
- Network Adapters
- Intel(R) Wireless N-7260 (right click > update driver software)
- Browse my computer for driver software
- Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer (you will then see a list of drivers, check if you have the version 16.6.0.8 from Lenovo and choose it and observe.
2. Restart the machine and boot into the BIOS (by pressing F2 on the Lenovo screen). Once you're in, navigate to the Configuration Tab and ensure Wireless is set to Enabled (if applicable).

3. Perform a System Restore and choose a date before the issue began. (this will restore the unit to an earlier point in time where wireless connection is working fine)
4. Perform a Refresh / Reset or press the OneKey Recovery button (this will restore the unit to factory settings - ensure that you backup important files first).

Hello all. Fisrt of all, this are my specs: Yoga 2 pro 13". WiFi card: Intel(R)Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260. I bought it from Best Buy on November 27, 2014. If you aquired your Yoga before this date, you may have the single band WiFi card. As many of you have experienced, I also had a bunch of issues with my WiFi connectivity and this is how I was able to solve it. At least it has been a couple of days that I haven't had any issues. The first symptom was the usual connection drops every X amount of time. For me it was about every 2 hours. I first unchecked the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" option in the Power Management tab of device manager and disabled U-APSD support in the Advanced tab of device manager. This action did not solve the problem. I then downloaded and updated the driver from the Intel web site (http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect) and this seemed to solve the drops; however, a new problem arised: Everytime my Yoga would wake up from sleeping mode, all my wifi networks were gone and the adapter showed as disabled in Device Manager. I would have to anable it to have my networks back. It was a solution but a pain the butt to have to do this everytime. After hours of reading post after post in several forums, I read a repy from Lenovo asking to try leaving the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" CHECKED if you were using the latest version of the driver. I went back to device manager and checked it back and that seems to have solved the problem. So far I haven't had any drops and everytime my laptop comes back from sleeping mode the WFi connection is still there! Here is a recap of how everything ended up: -The driver version I installed is 17.1.0.19-The driver date is 7/21/2014-In device manager|Advanced, U-APSD support is Disbled.-In device manager|Power Management, "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" is checked. We had the same problem of wi-fi not appearing at all in network connections, with a newly bought Lenovo Yoga 2 13 with Realtek wireless just upgraded to Windows 10, and after a lot of tinkering managed to get it working. We did three things at the same time, which between them fixed it:1. Installed the Intel Chipset drivers for Windows 10 (from Lenovo's support site)2. Did a HARD/FULL SHUTDOWN (hold SHIFT when clicking shutdown), bypassing Windows fast hybrid shutdown.3. Accessed the BIOS, turned Wi-Fi setting in the BIOS off and on and saved settings (there's a button on the side to access the BIOS) I suspect the combination of 1 and 2 fixed it (with the FULL shutdown being key!), because I can't see just accessing the BIOS doing much, but thought I would list all 3 just in case! Sorry for not being more specific, but I hope this helps someone!

WIFI doesnt work after the windows 10 upgrade

hi i'm having a wifi problem once i've upgraded to windows 10to be short , my wifi is disabled and i cant activate it neither manually ( Fn + F12 ) or authomatically (via windows )i tried to update my drivers ( they are all updated ) and the strange thing is that my bluethoot works perfectely !i'm having also a driver that says it is damaged it has a yellow triangle in it , this is its name ACPI\HPQ6001\2&DABA3FF&3thanks for your help

Finally I've solved it! I have a "HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook", I used to turn on/off mi WIFI with FN+FN12 combination in Windows 7. When I've installed Windows 10, I realized that this combination does not work anymore, it only enables/disables the Airplane Mode. My assumption for the root of the issue is; if somehow if you forget the WIFI turned off during Windows 10 installation, it stays turned off from the BIOS, and if you dont have a hard switch (not a key combination) to turn it on you will not be able to turn it on via the keyboard, because FN+FN12 combination will not trigger it anymore. For my Pavillion solution was (as someone mentioned it in the forums earlier) to load the default options from the BIOS, which will reconfigure your BIOS and WIFI will be "Hard Enabled" as it was in Factory Defaults. Don't forget to "Save and Exit" when exiting the BIOS menu. Good Luck!

Wifi doesnt autoconect after ios7 upgrade

my ipad mini doesnt autoconect to the prefered wifi network, this just happend after updating to ios7, now if i block the ipad and go away for a minute, when i go back i have to select the wifi network and conect al manual.
any solutions?? i already reset the network preferences.

Iphone 3g doesnt work after ios5 upgrade

i upgraded my iphone 4 but now i can't use facebook, get my emails...anything that uses the internet isn't working anymore!! it says 'could not activate cellular data network...'etc...please help!!
i can only use it for texts, phone calls and camera at the moment which is not why i chose iphone!

Settings/General/Reset Reset Network Settings, then reboot (hold HOME and SLEEP until an Apple logo appears)
If you have an Exchange email account and still have the problem do the following:
Settings/Mail,Contacts,Calendar, tap on the Exchange account and delete it. Reboot. Go back to Settings and add it back.
There are other possibilities, including misbehaving applications, but this is a common problem with Exchange.

Mysqld doesnt work after an upgrade

after a recent upgrade mysqld has stopped working on my server, its been fine for a year (and as a result has allot of important data in the mysql databases).
when i attempt a restart of the service it just fails, the tail of /var/lib/mysql/whitefall.err is:

Wifi not working after bios upgrade. [SOLVED]

Hi All,
I have just upgraded my bios to correct a freq scaling issue and have noticed that WiFi is no longer working.
In dmesg I notice:
p54pci 0000:06:00.0: PCI INT A disabled
p54pci: probe of 0000:06:00.0 failed with error -110
Looks like something to do with IRQ allocation for that PCI slot, does anyone know how to fix this?
I have scoured my motherboard manual, but see nothing about IRQ allocation to PCI slots ... and I am not even certain this is the problem.
All I know is, that my prism54 card in that slot worked fine before the BIOS update.

Hi, I found the issue.
When I did the BIOS update, I did a reboot to try out new settings etc ... this however was not good enough.
On googling around on the error, I found that the solution is to shutdown the box completely .. wait for the caps to discharge, then restart the box.
The card then started to work fine.
I guess the problem is one I have found at times with cards that require firmware, It is only when you do a complete powerdown like this, that the card resets correctly and
re-loads it's firmware .... I have had this issue show up in different ways on other cards (i.e DVB cards not loading there firmware).
I guess in this case the card retained some settings from the old BIOS which was not compatible with the new BIOS.

On/off button doesnt work after firmware upgrade on micro

two days ago i found out about the new firmware update for the micro zen (..0) i realized it would get me better mileage out of my battery so i updated it. i also sent it to my friends that i convinced to get the zen cause it was so much better than the ipod. i updated mine zen and realized right away that the on/off switch was acting very very weird. it would sometime take two or three tries to get it on or off. after a day or two it stopped working altogether. i updated the firmware again but that didnt do anything. my friends didnt have any problems with it. i cant even get into recovery mode cause the only way to turn it on is to plug it in the charger/computer. the only way to turn it off is to unplug the battery. my computer does recognize it when i plug it in cause i was even able to backup all my songs. can someone please help me?

You get to recovery mode by removing the battery, so on/off is not necessary.
It might well be the switch has failed, and therefore you need to contact Creative Support, links for which are in the FAQ post.

DBMS_SCHEDULER doesnt works after database Upgrade

I have recreated and all jobs, but the result is same.
Last start date shows that some jobs (4 of 10) start to run in a different time than planned. Another 6 jobs doesnt start.

You are not talking to Apple. This is a user to user forum.
If you're using the iPhone 3G, there will be no fix for your problem. The software you have, 4.2.1, is the end of the line for the 3G. Apple is no longer providing software updates for the 3G.

Ios 6, my wifi doesnt work, even after switching wifi on and off, aswell as removing saved wifi spots and switching from manual to auto

I have had used D Link router before, and I faced problems to connect my computer.
Now I bought Netgear, and it shows strongly better than the f.... D Link...
Try:
Settings>>WiFi, and then turn off Ask for Conection;
Or:
Settings>>Privacity, be sure the Location Service is turn on;
Or:
In Settings>>General>>Reset, select "Reset all Adjusts". (Sorry, but it will change some personal adjustments, but will not delete anything at all)
