Linking process of custom ANE strips too much symbols

Hello
I'm preparing custom ANE and facing interesting problem. I have prepared static library and putted it to ANE. I have compiled ANE and created demo project. Application is crashing in runtime because of undefined selector.
I have prepare native demo project with totally same library and it works like a charm. So I assume I have all symbols and correct architecture in my static library. I think linking process of ANE in air sdk strips too much symbols from static library and I cannot anyhow influence on it.
I can provide all projects to see the problem.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

The question was more about timeout settings if the chart can't be constructed. I would have hoped that the system would have worked out quickly that it couldn't create the chart and sent a message back.
In this web template the chart does run off a query that restricted the data to a manageable amount, but was also linked to the navigation block that caused the problem. We will remove that linkage.
In some cases, however, the user may ask for too much data (e.g. long date range), in which case I would expect a message.

    I'm not sure on a Mac, but when I have this issue, I simply kill the thread (task-manager/processes/select the process, kill thread)
    I have had no ill effects doing this.
    It is my belief, it is the cloud, since they have a dcc connection, you can disconnect from the cloud, close everything, and the cloud is still connected to you. This is a feature of their update process I suppose.(speculation)  Additionally, I remember reading somewhere this issue was due to applying administrative permission at the instigation of the installation. (which I do allow *some* trusted companies to have this so updates can be applied during my downtime. )
    I have never had any overt issues after killing the thread and I have done that many times.
    Hope this helps

    Hello folks,
    i need to use 0 to aquire and outside line instead of 9.
    the problem is that my CCME seems to be stripping the first two (leading) zeros
    All worked fine when I used 9 to get an outside live - any ideas?
    This is how I configured the CCME when I wanted to use 9 for an outside line………………… and all worked ok

  • HTML Stripping -- too much memory

    I have a program that takes data from a database and strips it of html tags. This is done over multiple tables. Some of the tables return a few thousand lines, but then others return about 65,000 lines. I open the file created and clean the needed fields with the following method. This causes an Out of Memory error with some of the larger files. Is there a better way to strip the html tags than I am using that would not throw this Out of Memory error?
          * Removes the html formatting for a string and stores it in a file
          * @return java.lang.String
          * @param htmlText java.lang.String
          * @param outputText java.lang.String
         public static String removeHtml(String htmlText) throws IOException
              String returnValue = "";
              EditorKit kit = new HTMLEditorKit();
              Document doc = kit.createDefaultDocument();
              // The Document class does not yet handle charset's properly.
              doc.putProperty("IgnoreCharsetDirective", Boolean.TRUE);
              try
                   // Create a reader on the HTML content.
                   Reader rd = new StringReader(htmlText);
                   // Parse the HTML.
                   kit.read(rd, doc, 0);
                   //Set returnValue to cleaned text
                   returnValue = doc.getText(0, doc.getLength()).toString();
                   rd.close();
                   doc = null;
                   kit = null;
              catch (Exception e)
                   System.out.println ("ERROR: " + e.getMessage());
                   e.printStackTrace();
              return returnValue;
         }

    There is a fairly trivial way where you just copy the characters from the input to the output, except for the following rules:
    1. When the input character is '<', stop writing characters to the output (including this one).
    2. When the input character is '>', start writing characters to the output (after this one).
    However this may stumble on malformed HTML, for example if the '<' character appears unescaped in text. I don't know if your data suffers from this problem or not.

  • Why it is taking too much time to kill the process?

    Hi All,
    Today,one of my user ran the calc script and the process is taking too much time, then i kill the process. I am wondering about one thing here even it is taking too long to kill the process, generally it will not take more than 2 sec. I did this through EAS.
    After that I ran Maxl statement
    alter system kill request 552599515;
    there is no use at all.
    Please reply if you have any solutions to kill this process.
    Thanks in advance.
    Ram.

    Hi Ram,
    1. Firstly, How much time does your calculation scripts normally run.
    2. While it was running, you can go to the logs and monitor where exactly the script is taking time .
    3. Sometimes, it does take time to cancel a transaction ( as it might be in between).
    4. Maxl is always good to kill ,as you did . It should be succesful . Check the logs what it says ,and also the "sessions" which might say "terminating" and finish it off.
    5. If nothing works ,and in the worst case scenarion , if its taking time without doing anything. Then log off all the users and stop the databas and start it .
    6. Do log off all the users, so that you dont corrupt any filter related sec file.
    Be very careful , if its production ( and I assume you have latest backups)

  • Too much zooming in NI-HyperTrend locks lookout process.

    I'm using lookout 5.0 over W2K. When I try to zoom-in too much in NI-HyperTrend (Activex control object) Lookout locks and hence I have to end process using the Windows Task Manager. I'm using '+' icon to zoom in. Any idea? (urgent)

    Hello Patrick R.
    thank you for your message. The pc on which the lookout process (only one process) runs, is dedicated for a Fieldpoint string. Pc communicates with FP-1600 (ethernet comm module) directly. FP string we have 8 modules(2 x AI-100, 1x RLY-420 and 5x RTD-122). Total I/O number is 55. Several NI-hypertrend objects (activex control objects) display several (4 to 36) signals. The signals are logged to the citadel database at local hd. There is no other application running meanwhile.
    Cliking frequency of zoom button is normal (2-4 Hz). It doesn't matter if we stop the graph or not. after zooming the cpu usage peaks to 98-99 percent and then we are to end the lookout application.
    The system is on site. I tried also in office using lookout5.0/examples/ap
    plications/batch2.l4p . I create a new NI-hypertrend and insert several traces. it locks up after deep zoming. This phenomena repeats itself randomly. I tried after once more but I was unable to lock it. I think that the trend chart cannot follow the fast changing data.
    thanks for your action.
    kemal (knk).

  • Why do I have to run the plug-in container in my processes constantly in this version? It takes up too much memory!

    The earlier version of Firefox did not run this plug-in container. Every time I would remove it from my processes it would kill videos etc. But, it was all fine in the older version of Firefox, so why the change? So I chose not to update Firefox. Then, the other day, I saw that is was automatically downloading and I turned off my computer because it wouldn't stop and I didn't give permission. When I got home I could not use Firefox and it took me hours to figure out how to get the internet back. Then I got Firefox back and this stupid process is running again. It takes up too much memory. I don't like a bunch of extra processes running like that. So, why can't I just use the old version? Is this process absolutely necessary?

    In the past the memory usage would end up as part of the Firefox program. Now with OOPP you can see it as a separate process and that makes it more noticeable.
    You can disable OOP if you want.<br />

  • SYSTEM IDLE PROCESS SHOWING TOO MUCH CPU USAGE

    I Have problem with system idle process showing too much cpu usage.but the process is normal.nothing more else.my laptop is toshiba satelite pro m300.pls give the solution as earliest as possible.

    Without knowing the excat model or what software, hardware or external components are running CPU usage is just an average measurement.  If you have alot of background components/software running can cause a high reading, as it you allowed updating to runn consistently, or IM Messenger to consistently gain access.

    Do you have iPhoto setup to import all Photo Stream photos into your library?  If so uncheck the circled checkbox in this screenshot and see if that will speed up things:
    You'll have to manually import from the Photo Stream after that.

  • Oracle Instances Processes  consuming too much memory

    Will somebody be able to guide me with the factors that are causing too much memory consumption when a single Oracle.exe instance is started ? Due to this problem it is not possible to run 2 instances at the same time.
    Oracle is running on Windows NT 4.0 SP6.
    Oracle version 8.1.6.0.0
    Currently we have 512MBytes of ram.(4.83G free space)
    One of the Instance consumes as much as 178,320K of Ram,
    another consumes about 138,000K

    Oracle consumes as much memory as you want, but more memory is faster.
    Review your init.ora (db_block_buffer y shared_pool_size)
    (It4s posible to run 10 instances in a machine with just 1 Gigabyte and they work fine. It depends on the use of the databases, the number of users, just for production or development, etc, ...).
