Lion and snow leopard bootcamp, after installing lion snow leopard bootcamp with windows 7 does not boot

Just installed Lion OS on my 2nd mac (on the 1st without an issue) but as I had a partition with windows 7 (installed with Snow Leopard bootcamp).
It seems that Lion OS renamed the Bootcamp partition but I am not able to rename it through OS.
Is there a solution for this or do I need to re-install?

Hi Jack.........ok ive managed to create a link to that video on how to install bootcamp.....this is the tutorial i used and i managed to gain 100% completion on bootcamp 1st time no messing......like i said in my previous reply did you save the windows support files from apple....(Critical).....ok no point in messing about i suggest you start again from scratch........these are the things i used and YOU will need to complete bootcamp
mem stick or cd-r / dvd-r......original copy disc of win 7 ...i never used an iso i used original disc....allow a minimum of 30gb of space for your win 7 partition.....if you want bootcamp so you can use big programs like windows based games i.e.....Crysis/Call of duty etc etc ..then you will need to consider that you will need to allow a bigger partition to allow your HD to store the files.....this is the reason i installed bootcamp and so i made my partition i have a 750GB HD so i made a partition of 300gb for windows 7 and left the other 450gb for Mac....so you need to partition enough for what you want bootcamp for remember once you get bootcamp working you will need to install ALL Important Windows updates Including Win 7 SP1......once everything is installed you will have bootcamp up and running lovely.....u can then boot up with either win7 or mac......click this link and watch carefully and do exactly as shown ok and you should be fine...if you have any probs contact me again ok.....let me know how you get on ok..:)...http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=fvwp&v=QFIWtXTl4d0&NR=1

After installing or upgrading to Firefox 31, starting Firefox does not show homepage, customize shows a blank page and the option button does not work

I am the Windows admin for a university department and install PCs with Firefox all the time. This problem does not happen with every PC I maintain, only a select few (different model laptops with Windows 8.1 and update 1.) Until today, it only happened with new user accounts (with admin rights) that I setup on the laptops for our staff. Today this happened with The Administrator account while setting up a new laptop. In all cases so far, I install Windows from a saved image that was created using sysprep.
I have tried the many suggestions of resetting Firefox, deleting the users Firefox profile, deleting the users Windows profile, uninstalling/reinstalling Firefox, uninstalling/reinstalling Firefox and the latest Java, but nothing helps. After uninstalling, I run an app to delete temp files and caches and will even manually remove registry keys HKLM\SOFTWARE\Mozilla and HKCU\SOFTWARE\Mozilla. Plus I reboot and make sure the install folder is deleted after uninstall.
Results are the same: after installing Firefox 31, the initial setup window for migrating IE and/or Chrome pops up and after clicking the Finish button, Firefox starts, but does not show the initial new user page, only a blank page. Clicking on the Options button (3 bars) does nothing. Right-clicking in the proper area, the popup menu appears so I can choose to Customize, but that only opens another tab with about:customize in the URL and the page is blank. From the right-click popup menu, I can enable the Menu Bar and get to Options from that.
My latest attempt has helped a little. I uninstalled Firefox 31, cleaned up, deleted user Firefox profile, rebooted and then installed Firefox 30. Inital startup runs, and tells me I'm not up to date, and the Options button works. But I still cannot customize.
I then upgraded to Firefox 31, but then it's back to no startup page, no options button and no customize. I can downgrade to 30 and get all but customize working again.
Only Addon is one for McAfee Scriptscan for Firefox 15.1.0, which just after installing is disabled.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

After installing iOS5 the syncing from iPhone to PC does not update PC. PC to iPhone is okay. Anyone having same problem and/or solution?

After installing iOS5 on my iPhone 4 I am having a problem syncing Calendar, Contacts etc. If I say add something in Calendar on my iPhone it will not sync to my PC, even though is says it is. However if I add something to my Calendar on my PC (using Outlook) it will sync to my iPhone. Anyone having the same issues and/or solution?

Windows 7 does not boot after bootcamp installation

I installed windows 7 x64 on my MBP 15" retina with bootcamp, and the installation went fine but after the installation when it said " prepairing your desktop" it just restarted and went into boot loop, so I had to boot into mac OSX and make it primary boot. This have happend 3 times, and I've recreated the ISO image on the USB and I've deleted windows 7 and the partition and I have done the whole process over again (3 times) and it still does not work. Sometimes I get into windows 7 the first time and can move around the desktop with the mouse for about 5 seconds, then it says "logging out" and I'm back at the same problem.
What can I do?

Windows NT does not boot after installing NI-CAN 1.6.0 or security update

We are running Windows NT 4.0 SP 6 english with MS IE 5.5.
On one machine we had NI-CAN 1.6.0 installed. After installing the security update from Microsoft over the web the machine did not boot.
On another machine the security update was installed. After installing NI-CAN 1.6.0 the machine booted but hangs during logon. On this machine we installed Windows NT, MS IE 5.5 the security update and NI-CAN from new and the effect was the same.
Does anyone else have similar experience with this problem?
Machines with Windows 2000 and XP work well with NI-CAN 1.6.0.

I haven't found any known issues. I going to try it out here. What's the security update you're installing?. I noticed there's a bunch of them in the Microsoft web site.
What CAN hardware do you have (PCI, PCMCIA, etc)?.

After installing 9.0.1 twice on Win7, Firefox does not open websites in the navigation toolbar. Nothing happens when I put in any normal web address.

Firefox now takes an enormously long time to open now that I have upgraded to 9.0.1. The bigger problem is that the navigation toolbar where I enter web addresses does not function when I hit the enter key or by selecting the small arrow key right next to the web address. Win7 64bit, no detectable viruses.

This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.

After installing latest Yosemite update (10.10.3) Mac does not recognize my camera

Did latest Yosemite update yesterday, and all my USB ports are having issues with storage drives, etc. Most frustrating issue is my late 2012 mac mini does not recognize my 2014 Cannon DLSR.
I have tried to connect camera through WIFI and USB ports. I have also tried the most recent Cannon drive update.
NEED HELP ASAP PLEASE. As a designer and artist I use this camera and mac for work constantly.

Windows 7 does not boot after grey screen

Hi,
Right after installing Windows 7 Home 64-bit on Macbook Pro with Retina by boot camp, computer restarts, shows black screen with flashing underscore (_) on left corner, shows grey screen next, restarts again, and then repeats. I cannot log in or do anything. What is the problem?
I have used Boot Camp Assistant and created install disk on my USB flash drive.
When I boot BootCamp on VMware Fusion, Windows starts normally.

After Installing Windows, everything seemed to work fine. i installed the bootcamp drivers, rebootet many times as expectet.
but since yesterday i got the same "endless repeating booting routine with blinking curser".
the curser blinks for a few seconds, then the mac reboots. very disapointing.

Whilst edited the msconfig setup on my Windows 7 64bit partition (which I've done a good few times before) I stupidly checked the 'use original boot configuration' thinking it was a 'return to defaults' synonym.
Now when I attempt to boot into Windows, I get the following error message, before any Windows logo appears:
'Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:
1. insert your Windows installation disc and restart your computer.
2. Choose your language settings, and click "Next."
3. Click "Repair your Computer".
Status: 0xc0000225.
Boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible.'
Corrective steps so far:
I have the original Windows CD from when I bought it, but I can't manage to make Windows boot from that instead of internal storage so no startup repair or restore options which apparently is all I need to fix this error...
I'm, not sure whether this is just because of bootcamp not recognising the disk properly or my optical drive playing up (which is has done with some disks pretty much since I bought the mac, although does boot successfully from the Mac OSX disk I tried).
I've also tried downloading the same ISO image and creating a bootable USB flashdrive but that won't boot either - again, not sure whether this is because bootcamp won't support it (I've heard Apple's firmware doesn't like booting from flashdrives much), or whether the USB should be formatted differently etc (it's currently formatted as NTFS but am now wondering if trying again with FAT32 would make any difference).
I've also installed ReFit and am running that successfully, which recognises the USB disk but also can't boot from it. Tried the MBR and GPT sync tool too which said there wasn't a sync problem anyway.
I can't access any boot options for Windows (Safe Mode etc), each attempt is faced with the same error; can only choose to boot Windows or run the memory diagnostic tool which I doubt would help.
Obviously can't access any BIOS as that doesn't exist on macs.
Can I replace any specific boot file on the windows partition remotely?
Please help! I'm running out of ideas and really don't want to try and re-install Windows!

I would, but as the apparent guarenteed solution is to boot from the Windows CD, and I believe bootcamp is preventing this, I'd assume it'd be more relevant here.

Does updating the 4th generation iPod touch with iOS6 keep it from working with a Logitech docking station/boombox? Nothing is wrong with the boombox.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

If it still does not work that means that the update broke compatibility. That happens sometimes. You will have to wait for an update to either iPod's iOS or the dock's firmware.

after installation i try to activate the product.
Following several phone numbers regarding activation at last i get redirected to this site.
Only activation also doesn't work, with a message containing information that the online activation server can not be reached (no error number)
i didn't use the product for quite a while.
It might be, that it was installed and activated on a machine that doesn't exist anymore.

The activation servers for all versions from CS2 and earlier have been decommissioned. They will not be back, ever. Your CS is of no use any longer.
However, Adobe has provided CS2 versions that you can download and do not require activation, just a special, generic registration code you can use for installing.

Windows 2012R2 does not boot automatically after BSOD

I have a Windows 2012R2 server with some critical applications.
Sometimes one of that applications causes BSOD. It doesn't matter why - I need the server to reboot and continue running without manual intervention. Instead of it server restarts and then stays on "Choose an option" screen (with Continue/Use
a device/Troubleshoot/Turn off your PC options).
After that I need to go to server room and press Continue manually. It is not an option for me because it can happen during the night and server will not be operational until the morning. Is there the way to skip that screen automatically?
