LM61 Unpack HU Materials or HU from HU

Hi
Please see attachment LM61 Unpack Screen flow. It should allow me to Unpack, but I get an error "Handling unit &1 not found in the warehouse".
The HU does exist and the error message is not correct. Could someone please advise how to Unpack in RF? Or what am I doing wrong in LM61?

Replication of Materials and services from R/3 to SRM

Hello,
I would like to get some advice about replicating materials and services from R/3 46C to SRM 5.0.
I replicated the objects succesfully in Development and the Test environment but now i have to do it in a Productive environment.
We use about 40.000 material and 5000 services in R/3.
Im concerned about the timing of the process.
How long will this aproximately take to replicate this amount of data?
What will be the best time to start replicating?
Is there any inconvenience in replicating during the normal working hours?
What happens if a user is currently using a material during the replication process? Is the material replicated anyway?

This depends on the Production System Resources and the processes available. But for the number you have projected here should not take more than 2 - 3 hours at the max.
What will be the best time to start replicating?

What happens if a user is currently using a material during the replication process? Is the material replicated anyway?
It better to perform the activity during the night / production outtage time. Ideally users should be allowed to use them after the replication process. So, please do not perform this during business hours or when there are end users in the system. You can just trigger the replciation in the night and it should be completed in few hours. Besides, if there are any background activities the workprocesses will be occupied (very common in business hours) and hence there will not be enough processes for the replication job. This will increase the time for replication by many folds.

Leading zeros in SAP ME materials that come from SAP ERP

Hello!
When materials are transfered from the SAP ERP side via MII to SAP ME it can be observed that material numbers have leading zeros. For example a material number is created in SAP ME like 0000000123456 instead of 123456.
I think this behaviour can be changed in the XLST transformations, which are part of SAPMEINT.
Is this the usual way to fulfill the requirement "No leading zeros for SAP ME material numbers"?
It can be observed that for example the shop orders don't have the leading zeros, when they are created in SAP ME.
Of cause, when confirmations are sent back to SAP ERP the corresponding XSLT transformation adds again these '0',
it is somehow necessary for SAP ERP for the shop order lookup.
I see one disadvantage when using modified XLST transformations.
Each time a new version of SAPMEINT is deployed a check shoukld be made from our side, if there are changes in the original XSLT transformations.
So what is the statement of direction from the SAPMEINT developers?

We see the same problem for the leading zeros. There is no consistency in this case.
Also the SAPMEINT Enhanced planned order report is triggering only for material with leading zeros. In this case you can't modify anything to prevent this. No XSLT modification possible there.
Can we get any statement from SAP?!?

Do you own 100% of the copyright of the materials you create from using Adobe products?

I'm thinking of getting the CS6 Creative Suite or Master Collection (Student & Teacher License) for my new iMac. I do alot of original graphics, videos and illustrations, and plan to start making my own music using the different Adobe software. I also plan to sell the original materials I make from using Adobe products, or use my original materials commercially. I know some other software or programs have in their user agreements terms that would not allow you to use the original materials you created (from using their programs) commercially. Is Adobe the same? Or, do we own 100% of the copyright of the original materials that we create from using Adobe software?
I've actually tried to read the licence agreement in my older Photoshop CS2 program to find out, but didn't read anything about this.
As I'm planning to purchase the Student & Teacher License of either Creative Suite or Master Collection, I'm wondering if there is a difference in terms of my copyright to my own materials I make between the "Full version" of the CS6 programs vs. the Student/Teacher License? i.e. are you only allowed to produce original materials only for school use, education use, etc and not for commercial use if you purchase the Student/Teacher collection? Or do we own all the copyright for all original work produced by the software, regardless of which you buy?

Michael Kazlow's response is in general current with a major caveat.
You do not own the copyright for any material from third parties that you embed in your content unless you have made special legal arrangements with the owners of said material.
For example, you license royalty free artwork (vector or raster image, it doesn't matter) and place it into a CS document (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.). You may display, print, and/or even distribute the derivative material subject to the license terms of the artwork that you license. That normally does not transfer the copyright to you. The same is true with fonts used in such artwork. Your ability to embed those fonts in your document (primarily PDF or PostScript/EPS output) is subject to the license terms of the font foundry/vendor; but you don't own the copyrights to those fonts.
In other words, you own the copyright to the derivative work, but not to the third party components under most conditions.

Sample materials(FG) receive from Vendor

We need you advise on the below requirment?
Scenario: Company receive the sample materials (Finished goods) form the Vendor. After receiving this into the Company the Marketing department send this to our company customers for advertizing. Sofar they are doing this activity in out off SAP.
From now onwords they want enter this goods in SAP suystem.
So now the business busienss is looking for solution ( just kind of report in SAP) which should show the current availble stock when we run this report.
How much qty received from the vendor, How much qty taken out by Marketing dept and currently what is the availble stock( sampels).
Please note : The stock will be counted on number base. not on value base.
Plese adivse how to achieve this ?

To get a report with stock, available stock etc. in some way the information has to be inputted in SAP. How are you planning to do that?
One option is to create documents in SAP and then use these for inbound and outbound movements.
- for receiving these goods from vendor
- for sending sample goods to customers
I am not sure about Procuring part (inbound). For outbound part, please see below:
For the sample sale process:
Use FD document type - This is provided by SAP to deliver free of charge sample goods to customers.
In FD process, there is no billing document. Only sales order > delivery
Read about standard FD process in the internet.

Two materials ordered separately from vendor to be used as single material

Hi All,
Suppose there are two materials say A and B which are ordered separately from vendor and then placed in storage location as two diffrent stock materials.
But while issuing the goods, these two materials A and B need to be combined as different material C and has to be issued against.
Please let me know if there is any possibility of such scenario.

Two materials A and B which are ordered separately must be created with same material type(say ROH) & a different material C must be created with a separate material type HALB.Now can keep /create BOM for material C where you can mixing combination of materials A and B.
You can issue now material C after mixing of materials A and B.( after receiving to warehouse).Just get help from PP consultant.

3D: Deleting a mesh, applying multiple materials, "New volume from Layers"

I am learning the 3D capabilities of Photoshop CS5 Extended and have some questions that do not appear to be covered in the help reference material:
Can I remove a mesh from a 3D Layer / scene?
For instance, after having merged two 3D layers together.
Can I apply multiple materials to a single mesh?
I can see that more complex meshes have multiple materials applied to them. Does Photoshop have the capability to add/remove more than one materials to meshes?
What is "New volume from Layer" intended to do?

PS: I sat waiting on hold for Adobe tech support for 2 hours and 17 minutes with no signs of life before giving up. When I explored callback options online, the website said that no options are available for Photoshop. This level/absence of support is mind-bogglingly awful for an enterprise like Adobe. I know me grousing about it here won't change anything, but I need to get my frustration out of my system and writing it down helps.

You can only hide meshes in the scene, not remove or delete them. You have to delete the whole 3D layer to remove meshes from a document.

With Photoshop you can't replace an existing single material with multiple materials. There's very limited ability to edit UV mapping and you'll want to do that in a full 3D modeling application. Repoussé meshes are created with 5 materials to a single mesh object so technically, yes to your question; But that's not really what I think you're asking.
What is "New volume from Layer" intended to do?
I couldn't find this specific menu item in the help reference material anywhere.
This has applications in scientific and medical imaging, but doesn't need to only be used there. An example would be to use a DICOM format, multi-sliced imaging scan and have the layers of the scan modeled into a volume. It is really just taking successive layers and placing them at equal distance in space. The Render Settings dialog offers a few options to vary the displayed volume after it's generated.
I'll see if I can get that model tomorrow and try to find out why the menu items are not working. You're talking about the group of 4 that includes 'Hide Nearest Surface', right?

Question with deleted materials in RESB from CJ20N

Hi frds!
I'm creating a query on table RESB to get all materials for a specific project.
This is the case:
Before close the project I deleted one material. So this generated that the field XLOEK (of RESB) changed its value to 'X'. So, this change indicates that the material was deleted and it doesn't have to be included in the query (this is OK).
Later I closed the project, and the query is NOT showing results, because? because all the materials in RESB have the value 'X' in the field XLOEK, like deleted.
But when I see the project in CJ20N it knows which materials was deleted by me and which by the close of the project.
What can I do to know which materials were deleted in the close of the project?

At the time of doing PGR create a new output type and design smart form / Script based on client requirement and take the print out at the time of PGR
and also if you want to check the stock for Return material you can track in the system by using MB51 you can find out rather than doing manually because one if you done PGR means you received the Stock

after support package uppgrade to SAPKA70022, there is aproblem with
transport material items from shopping cart (SC) to local purchase
order (local PO). With services items there is no problem.

Unpacking HU assigned to Delivery with RF (LM25)

Dear,
I am experiencing problems once I try to unpack picked Materials (Transfer Order is confirmed) from a Handling Unit assigned to an Outbound Delivery by means of RF.
What I actually want to do is repack (1. unpack Materials from picked HU, 2. pack Materials into new HU with other Packaging Material).
Note that Handling Unit Management is active and Goods Issue is not yet posted for the Outbound Delivery of course.
In VL02N I can easily do this from the Packing screen (select picked HU, Empty, enter Packaging Material/create new HU, select new HU + Material, Pack).
Now when I try to unpack with LM25 (I saw on this forum this is the transaction for Unpack HU by Delivery), by entering the HU concerned, the system tells me:
Wrong object ID
for HU 1000001010
What am I doing wrong here and how can I make it work?

I'm not sure if this is all related to your issues, but it might be useful info. We got an external specialist to assist with my issue and he showed me how to unpack using LM61. As some of the posts suggest, you cannot use e.g. LM25 or LM22 directly as those screens first require important input from LM61. RF Steps to Unpack:
a.) LM61->Scan Delivery and F4 Nxt
b.) F2 More
c.) F11 Unpack
d.) Scan HU
e.) F4 ByMt (Unpack Materials from HU)
f.) Scan Material in first input enabled field
g.) Type Quantity (to unpack) in second input enabled field and ENTER
(Notice that there are 2 entries for the same material/qty - the one has the checkbox selected and the other doesn't. See it like a positive and a negative)
h.) Now if you save, you'll get a success message that 'Handling unit was unpacked'
The other issue I had was to Unpack a HU child from HU parent. It is very similar to the above. The only difference is that you must scan the child HU to unpack in the last screen and enter/save. I think the idea from SAP is so as you take the HU out of the Parent HU, you scan it, enter and save after you're done unpacking. But just one important note. We have an important requirement that you cannot unpack a Loaded HU or even if the Parent HU is loaded. SAP allows this unpacking with LM61 and we had to build in those validations. Also another nice-to-know is that you can set a breakpoint at SE37 WS_DELIVERY_UPDATE_2 if you'd like to see how SAP unloads using this function.

Looks like one component in Media Encoder is either missing or corrupted somehow.
Could you uninstall Adobe Media Encoder CC 2014 and please make sure all files are deleted after uninstall? Then, please try re-installing it.

How to hide materials in iTunes U Materials Library

When creating an iTunes U course for the high school level, my teachers would like to hide online quizzes and some other documents until students reach that topic. Is there any way to hide items in the Materials Library from student view until they are needed in the course? If no, is there a way to completely hide the course materials so that students have no access to it?
This is a huge problem that I know other districts are struggling with.

One thought is that you could add your course materials only to "My Materials Library", accessible from the popup menu in the top-right. As you create each assignment, add the relevant material from your materials, and it will then appear in the students' materials list.

Vendor publish not working from Sourcing to ECC

Hello Experts,
When we are publishing vendor from SAP Sourcing to ECC status becomes waiting for replicated and gives no error but XML is not getting created in FTP outbound folder and due to this vendors are not being able to published from sourcing to ECC. We have checked the integration setting and these seems to be fine as RFX award publish is working fine from Sourcing to ECC which also uses the same path to integrate.
The issue is in our PRODUCTION system whereas it is working fine in Dev and TEST environment. Are we missing any setttings which generates XML?

Scheduled Tasks are working fine for the import of materials and vendors from ECC and picking the data from the FTP folder.
But only the outbound of vendors not working, i checked in the logs but could not found any errors even in debug logs it is not generating the XML (I checked in the dev instance and while publishing it is creating XML in the logs as well).
Do we need to do any configuration to generate XML when publishing Vendor or its a standard process to do so?
