Log In, says trial expired and asks for serial

I've seen other discussions with this or similar problems but the solutions provided don't help.
I open an app and it asks me to log in. After clicking log in it says my trial has expired and I need to provide a serial number.
The first day I downloaded the apps I had no problem, this started on the second day of after purchasing creative cloud.

Okay so i've had two chat session with remote control. They tried...
1. Signing in and out
2. Uninstalling Lightroom and reinstalling
3. Starting a new catalog and importing images from old one. (issue went away and i could use Develop mode temporarily)
4. Removing preferences
5. Removing plug-ins
Everything is up to date. My membership is sound and all other adobe cc applications are working fine. Anybody else getting this issue or have any other ideas.

  • Trial version is asking for serial number ... helpp

    I selected "try" from the adobe CS5 page and when I am in the install window it asks for serial number.
    Why ???
    Now there is option to "try as a trial version" however it will not allow me to progress and select this option.
    Very Frustrating...

    Did you run any other trials already? in any case, try the suggestions listed in the respective section regarding licensing here and also have a look at the specific CS5 stuff.

    my acrobat subscription worked well for 6 months but for weeks now, despite monthly payments routinely taken, free trial expired keeps appearing and cannot create pdfs. I don't want to cancel, just want the function already paid for. Chat never available and forum suggests phoning not a rewarding activity. My product list is empty with no serial via email.   • Creative Cloud for team trial and ask for serial no.

    All the seats are already User. But when I downloaded program from Download center or Adobe Application Manager, Programs are show as Trail products and there is 30days countdown.

    There could few reasons why you are getting Serial no prompt. Please follow these steps to fix the issue
    1. If you have Windows 7 and above or OSX 10.7 and above machines then download and install Creative Cloud Desktop apps. it should fix the issue
    2. Check for Adobe Entries in Host file.

  • Acrobat 9 pro trial version downloanded - asking for serial nubmer

    I am trying to get a authorization for a staff member before they leave to asia -
    like 20 minuts ago...typical, right?  Anyhow - our office has license - but since I am at home, I do not.
    I downloaded the trial so I could fill out the auth form and now it is asking for a serial number...I cannot find one or am so stressed that I am going to miss my staff's deadline I cannot locate it but might be looking right at it.
    If I have downloaded a trial version - why would I have to enter a serial number - and if this is normal - where do i find it?   I would be so grateful for any quick response!

    Thanks for getting back to me...This is my daughter's laptop and she is 12
    so I don't think she would have done this - but it may have been via my
    email on an older computer?  Is there anyway around this - downloading under
    another email?  I just got a job after 5 years of unemployment and would go
    a long way if I could get some work done at home at night and they will
    think - wow! She's great!!!  It is worth asking!

    I am logged in to CC on my macbook pro with my Adobe ID but the apps aren't registering that I am paid up and have a subscription.  I have gone through all the trouble shooting and I still cant get it to work.

  • I just switched to Charter. When going to Mozilla Firefox a box appears saying, Authentication Required and asks for a User name and Password. What do I do?

    I switched from CenturyTel to Charter. I can't use Firefox because a box appears asking me for Authentication Required, User Name and Password. When I hit cancel, this message appears:
    HTTP 401 - Unauthorized
    Authorization is required to access the configuration server.
    You must enter the correct username and/or password.
    When I called Charter, they told me they recommended using Internet Explorer. I told them I didn't want IE, I preferred Firefox. They recommended I go to your support page, so here I am. :o)

    Have you reset the password recently for the email account?
    A real simple fix usually is to delete the mail account (settings < mail contacts calendars, tap the affected account and choose delete at the bottom) Then re add the account.

  • Had trial version of Photoshop, now bought CCloud, but photoshop still asks for serial number

    I had downloaded a free trial of Photoshop, it expired, which led me to buy Creative Cloud so I could use it. Now after purchasing it, it keeps saying "trial expired" and wants a serial number, but every other app works ok without having to load a serial number. Also, have been on hold with customer service for well over 2 hours. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling/downloading Photoshop multiple times (just like the chat help suggested) yet it still asks for serial number since trial has expired to open Photoshop. Help?

    I finally managed to get Customer Support on a Chat line.  There is no registation for CC products but you do have to activate your download/subscription using your Adobe ID and password.  That removes the request for a registration/serial number.
    I am now on line and happy.  Sad it takes so much sweat and frustration to get these simple things done.

    I used the premiere trial until it ended and then bought creative cloud. Premiere still says trial expired and I have tried logging in and out and I made sure all my information is correct on my account.

    It wouldn't install for nearly 5 times I tried to do this.  Now it's finally installed again but it won't budge past the trial version.  I click BUY NOW but then it says "error you already have a subscription" then it times out and just stays on the Trial Expired page.

    Please log out from your Adobe application and login again.
    Once you launch Acrobat and get error saying trial expired, you will find an option saying 'license this software'.
    Select this option and enter your credentials.
    Now check and let me know.

    I cannot tell you how to resolve this, but I can tell you what happened to me since I made the mistake of buying a year's membership.
    Like you, I noticed that despite paying the fee and it leaving my account, I still only had access to the trial versions of the apps. I read around and some people commented that it took some time for the billing team and other teams to co-ordinate information at busy times (though it seemed odd a company of Adobe's size would have this workflow) and as I could still make do with the trial apps, I waited.
    Eventually, with the trial days going down to the low digits, I contacted Adobe "customer support" to ask how I could rectify the problem. They cheerfully told me that I had not purchased a subscription from them, that I was not on their records and with this the implication that my expectation was foolish as I didn't own their product. I supplied some bank information to show I had paid and they had taken money, but I just got the same poorly worded response telling me records had been checked and there was no way I had been charged. The issue was closed and it was clear to me I could not change their mind despite having evidence that clearly indicated Adobe had charged me the exact payment for the service I was asking about.
    As some weeks had gone by I resolved to contact my bank, but the birth of my Daughter in late October meant I forgot to do so. My mistake, I know, but I think understandable. I noticed that in late November another charge was taken from my account (and I checked to see if I could access the apps but I was still being asked to provide a serial number I was never given (or needed if other people are correct on this). I contacted my Bank and asked them to prevent any more charges and also to begin the process of charging back the money for a service I never received. I sent them the correspondence I had with Adobe, in which they said I had never purchased the service, as well as copies of my account to go with the data they had access to. My money was refunded before Christmas, which I was very glad to see. I thought that it would be the end of it for a while and resolved to cancel. However under my account details it still shows I only have a free membership! I cannot cancel something I do not have!
    I have now received a letter from my bank indicating Adobe have contested my charge back, and they have supplied documents that show I have signed up for and paid for the year's service. There is no indication of them acknowledging that despite the fact I never denied signing up, they failed to provide the service I paid for! Just that they want the money back!
    So now I am in a situation where I cannot cancel and will continue to be charged for something that I still cannot access! I will continue to see if I can fight with the aid of my bank, but its a rather distressing that a company can  hold you over a barrel for something you never got, even by their own admission.
    I hope that you get a better resolution than I did.
