That's good to know... has not being able to update really hindered you? I understand that a lot of Mac users want Apple because they do a bunch of editing and graphic designing... I am not at all into that. I am a Physical Education major (aka: a lot of essays!!), and I write as a hobby. So that is all I want this computer for. What do you think??

Is this a new iPhone?
If so, when connecting a new iPhone to iTunes for the first time that has been used to sync with another iPhone or iOS device, you are prompted to transfer the backup for the other iPhone or iOS device to the new iPhone, or set up the new iPhone as a new iPhone.
If you don't want to transfer the backup for the other iPhone or iOS device, select set up as a new iPhone. No existing data or settings will be erased or changed when selecting as a new iPhone. Not that difficult or difficult at all. -

I was wondering if it was possible to print directly to an airprint enabled printer, without being connected to a PC/MAC/wifi spot ?
I work on a building site and quite regularly have the need to print out plans but do not know how or what deviced I need to purchase to achieve this from my iphone or ipad.

Wanted to include my sister and parents in the Family Sharing group under the iCloud app, but I don't want them using my credit card for their purchases. We just wanted to be able to share pictures and/or videos and find each other, if necessary. Is there a way around my card being the default for them when they go to purchase something?
If you don't want your sister to make purchases on your credit card, then Family Sharing is not an appropriate way to do what you want. You can use Find my Friends to locate each other and you can use Shared Photo Streams to share photos.

I bought my MacBook Pro in 2010. This is the first Mac I have owned and recently it is having some difficulty loading we pages, often timing out. This Mac environment is entirely different for me and I am not sure where to begin troubleshooting and/ or clean-up. I have moderate computer skills and try not to download or access questionable material, however recently I visited the Ap Store and purchased a couple of different aps to use in record keeping and for making a flyer. I am not even sure how to remove these programs to see if it helps.
Any tips or tricks are appreciated.

First of all, I would have to say that getting in touch with you is a nightmare and I am not at all happy that I can't just email or live chat with someone who can help! I am not a technical person, I just want to be able to use Photoshop Elements and get on with it. I bought Photoshop Elements via Amazon some months ago and it worked fine. I then got a message that advised that the trial version would expire, which it subsequently has (I have been trawling your site for weeks and weeks trying to find an email or phone contact to get some assistance). Relucltantly, I am now typing this - and I suspect it will not help in the slightest! I bought the FULL not TRIAL edition of Photoshop Elements and I have contacted Amazon who confirmed this, but say I need to contact you. Can you please let me know how I can resolve this? Looking for feedback from those who have installed Windows
I have an Intel iMac - brilliant machine, I love it. I have not installed Windows : I just don't have the need to justify doing it, but I'm glad to know I can if I do need, or just want to.
Having a Mac is almost like being immune to viruses (almost - I'm not careless). Everytime I use a PC there are message about viruses - it must drive them crazy! And to install Windows on my iMac would render it vulnerable.
I'm just looking for feedback from those who have taken the plunge: how's it working for you? I'm not so concerned about the speed...more so about .exe files running amok.

I am not able to see the entire post that you leave, unless I look at it on my phone (email)--I am so sorry. You have no idea how much i appreciate your help. Yes, I see that I can get the later version of OS software, but its not availabe for immediate download. My only options appear to be having it shipped, or going to the store to purchase. And if you know of another way that I can access all of my itunes library music on my new phone withouth using itunes, I would love to hear about it.--thanks and again i am so sorry for frustrating you.

Why is the message app popping up on my mac when everything has been disabled on my iphone and mac as per the instructions all over this forum, I use my phone for messages, not my mac. Is this a bug? I just want it off my mac forever!

If I click on an e-mail address link in a web page instead of a blank message opening I always get a pop up screen with a log-in for googlemail. I do not have and do not want a googlemail account. I just want to be able to send e-mails using Outlook.
OUtlook was already set as the mail client for FF, and is my operating system (XP)'s default mail programme. therefore problem not solved at all. what I get whenever I follow a link in a webpage to send an e-mail is a little pop up window asking me to sign in to gmail or open an account. any other suggestions?

I want to have different headers in Pages. I want to be able to set them and not have them be the same. For example I want ii then iii and so on...How do I do that?

"Headers" is short for "Continuing Headers."
Use a Header when you want recurring information on a series of pages in your document.
If ii, iii, etc. are page numbers, you can place them in Headers using Insert > Page Number, then formatting the page number to lower case Roman numerals.

Didn't work. Repeated several times, it finally worked. This time not so much. Any one else have this problem and know how to solve it?
Try turning off Blue Tooth in its respective preference panel. Do not try using the USB keyboard in a USB extender. Connect directly to the computer.

I have an old file with an .A4P video from 1999. I don't own any Adobe products (and don't really want to buy any). I just want to be able to convert the file to something that I can actually view. Any help?
I was a kid when I made a documentary for a school project. I've been trying to figure out how to retrieve the file. 4 years ago, I was able to get the files off the Iomega Zip drive (finally), but I now see the file is saved as a .A4P. There is also a file saved as a .PKG as well, but I don't know how to open this with my Windows 8 COmputer..a4p is an Authorware v.4 (Windows) project.
Interesting you have it as a .pkg...usually that's a published-on-a- Mac extension, if I recall.
At any rate, can you put the file up on a Box, Dropbox, FTP, etc...and send me a URL?
I should be able to published it so you can view the project (it would be an .exe).
It can't be converted to anything though - not without manual effort. -
I have just purchased an Apple Magic Trackpad. I connected it to my Macbook to test it. Fine. But I want to use it with my IMac - and my IMac cannot discover it - even though it is turned on and the batteries are 100%. Why? Can I reconfigure it to the IMac?
Remove it from the Macbook first. BT devices may only be connected to one thing at a time.
