Macbook pro.minimize button is inactive. Finder menu bar and dock won't appear when firefox is open. not occuring with safari. have to click on desktop to get Finder menu bar and dock to reappear. think happens after update of something. How do I fix it?
When i open firefox it opens up full screen (as it always has) but now the minimize button is grey (not yellow) and inactive so i can only open (green button) or close (red button) my firefox window. I can still make it smaller by dragging the bottom right corner but i can't minimize it to my dock or anything. Also, I have my dock set to auto show/hide when i roll my pointer over it. Now, whenever Firefox is open (no matter what size the window is) the Finder menu bar (with the time, battery power, etc) does not show up (which it always has before) and my dock won't auto appear when i roll my pointer over it.
Can you check this issue on Firefox 9?

Hi everyone, I have a macbook pro and it's so slow. After scouring the internet a lot, and CCleaning my computer 359802 times and using Onyx, I finally realized why it's so s low.....my Page Ins and Page Outs are so big. I have attached a screenshot that illustrates this.
I am not sure how my computer ballooned to this size, but it makes sense why it's like a turtle and is slower than my 4 year old Sony.
Can someone help me?? I am not sure what processes to get rid of and I feel like Google Chrome is taking up huge amounts of my Ram. I mean yeah I open Google Chrome and run like 8 tabs and have Word and iTunes open, but my 4 years old Sony could run faster than this and I used to open like 12+ tabs on Chrome while running Word, Excel, Powerpoint, iTunes, and VLC on my Sony. Which was nowhere near as powerful as this computer. Supposedly.

Intel HD Graphics 384 MB
Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4
I would really appreciate any advice to get this down to normal.....since I hear most ppl have page ins and page outs in the MB or even KB. Right now I'm running Google Chrome, Word, Ppowerpoint, iTunes, and Adobe PDF Reader. I don't think this should be too unreasonable of work load.
Thank youThe problem is not that your page ins are big, as that value resets when you reboot the system. However, your page outs are are almost 25% of your page ins, which means you can use more memory for the applications you run. A page out is done when memory is full, and the system needs to add something else to memory, so it writes some memory to the hard drive to make room. The guideline to add more memory is 10% to 15% page outs greater than page in's, and yours are more than that.
Your MacBook Pro can handle up to 16GB of memory. You might want to consider upgrading to 8GB, which would double what you have today. OWC and Crucial are two sources for quality memory. $42 for 8GB from Crucial, and you can usually find a % off coupon on retailmenot.com. -

You can try the standard fixes:
- Reset:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore the iPod from backup via iTunes
- Restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod.
However, the problem may be that the car system is not compatible with your iPod and its iOS. You might want to use the communities search box in the upper right and search for your car's make for similar problems. -
Real Player Downloader will no work with FIrefix after updating Real Player, how do I fix this?
I updated Real Player and the downloader will not work with Firefox now. It does work with Internet Explorer. Firefox is my default browser but it is not listed in the Real Player browser list.

I updated my mac with the usual update, and then suddenly my mac shut down. After trying to turn it on everything was fine except for the fact that I am not able to use it because I can't log on to desktop- my MacBook is asking me for a 6 digit code to unlock the system and I have no Idea why. Can anyone help me?? I live in denmark, so finding that code will cost me a lot of money
That sounds like a lock PIN put on via Icloud - can you log into iCloud and unlock it?

I have a MacBook Pro 2011. I allowed updates to install for iTunes software and Microsoft office (I think). After rebooting, computer wouldn't progress past grey apple screen with loading circle. No progression bar ever appeared. It just sits and spins. I tried rebooting with Command + Option + R + P and hearing the chime twice....this did not work.
I also tried Command +Option+R which took me to internet recovery. From there, I chose reinstall Mac OS X Lion 10.7 but it says my hard drive is locked so I wasnt able to select it. What do I do???? I you upgraded to OS X 10.8, then use RecoveryHD by holding Command R at boot time (no option) and reinstall OS X over itself that way so your installing Mountain Lion.
Also Disk Uility can be used to Repair the Macintosh HD parttion.
Also you can use that RecoveryHD to format and install OS X onto a external drive, then option/alt key boot from it and access your files on the non-booting internal drive before erasing, reformatting and reinstalling OS X fresh.

My backup is failling to restore and displays an error message: backup either corrupt or not compatible with the device. This happened after updating to the latest software IOS7
I have the same issue and I KNOW my backup IS good. What happen is when you try to restore your phone apple says something like can I check for new updates and if you choose no, it just takes you back to the restore screen and a loop from then on. If you dont update from you phone then when you back up you will have the 5.0.1 back up and then when you update to 5.1.1 and then try to restore the backup from 5.0.1 it say it EITHER corrupt or incompatible.. It is incompatible and its hard as **** to restore back to 5.0.1. I followed the restore to a T and still getting errors. I lost all text history and have to reset up email. All just because I wanted a 1.2 Gigs of "other" space back.

My Ipod touch plays music but every time I open an app that I have downloaded it closes immediately. This started happening after updating to the latest version of Ipod software.
Here's a couple things to try:
1. Reset the iPod by holding the sleep/wake button and home button at the same time for 10-15 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen.
2. Uninstall and reinstall one of your purchased apps. Sometimes this can rectify the issue.
3. Connect the iPod to iTunes and restore it. New system software usually resolves the issue. Make sure you sync before restoring because a restore removes the data from your iPod.
