Mailto not working
Hi, I have a simple webpage with a mailto email link that I included as a link with iWeb.
The mailto link works well when I am within iWeb in edition mode but I soon as I publish the website to my computer local folder and visit it using safari then the link does not work. The cursor stays the same when I mouse over or click on the email address.
It does not work neither when the site is published at GoDaddy.com.
Any help is welcome!

SSRS - Action: MailTo not working in Excel Export
Hello:
In my reports, I have a link that enables users to send me an email if they want to provide feedback. This is done by using a "mailto:" expression in Action.
If the user clicks on the link in IE, the link functions correctly and Outlook will open up with my email address, the Subject I've specified, etc.
However, if the user exports the report to Excel and then clicks on thel link, a "Reference is not valid" error message gets thrown. This is because the link automatically have
file:///tempFileLocation/fileName - appended to the beginning of the link. Therefore it becomes something like "file:///tempFileLocation/fileName - mailto:emailAddress?subject=subjectName"
etc.
Why is the file location automatically appended to the beginning when the url is "mailto:"? The other links will export and function correctly when exported to Excel. However, any link with "mailto:" Action
will not work when the report is exported to Excel. What is the fix for this?

According to your description, you create an action to open Outlook email. The action works fine in IE, but after exporting the report to an Excel file, the action can’t work correctly.
In Reporting Services, when we create an expression and concatenate the ‘MailTo:’ to the beginning of the field for the “Go to URL” option, the hyperlink will be changed after Excel render automatically. The hyperlink will add the name of exported Excel
file at the beginning of the hyperlink like you mentioned. This is a by-design behavior. So in your scenario, if you want users to open outlook email via the hyperlink, you have to modify the hyperlink within the Excel file manually.

Mailto not working in FF 5 & 6
Mialto: would not work in FF 5, then it updated to FF 6 and still no worky? Boo hoo! Trying to send to Gmail by the way. Oh yeah and why won't my Google toolbar work too?
If you can figure out how to upload your newest DNG to Dropbox I may be able to help you analyze what is wrong, otherwise, I can only guess from what you've said. A partial substitute for uploading the DNG would be to post a screenshot of what it looks like as you did, originally so at least a judgment can be made about whether it is shot correctly or not.
The DNG you linked from Dropbox gives me a reasonable error message, yet it seemed to give you something else. This is what I don't understand, unless you're using the older CCPP app, rather than the slightly newer one, so first, make sure you've downloaded the 2010 version of the software and the 2011 version of the plug-in that interfaces with the software, in case what you've installed from the disk is the original version.
One of these links appears to be just the plug-in and one has both the software and the plug-in as separate items. I assume the plug-in is the same for both but I'm including both links just in case one is newer. Since the one that is just the plug-in mentions Windows 8, I assume it is the most up-to-date.

Secondly, if you still have them try profiling the original NEFs instead of the DNGs.
Thirdly, if you must make DNGs, it can matter what the Compatibility Level is and try an older one, since the CCPP software hasn't been updated in several years. This doesn't seem to matter for some cameras but it does for others. -

I want to set the mailto app for google apps gmail.
I tried editing the gecko...mailto.2.uritemplate as per instructions found on web (https://mail.google.com/a/MYDOMAIN/mail/?extsrc=mailto&url=%s.
Set 3 related config values to "true" as per instructions (network.protocol-handler.expose.mailto ; network.protocol-handler.warn-external.mailto ; AND, third, gecko.handlerService.allowRegisterFromDifferentHost.
Does not work, no Google Apps in the mailto app spot.
Tried javascript method in address bar without success:

Mailto links in websites not working correctly in FF 36.0.1
I know this isn't a new problem as I've found lots about it in the Internet but I haven't found anything that will fix it! This problem only started for me when I updated to Firefox36, until then everything was working perfectly, but as I've seen references to the problem going back to 2007 that may be a red herring.
I'm using Windows 7 Professional, 64 bit on an HP ProBook. When I click on a mailto link in a web page I have a Windows Internet Explorer window open saying "Could not perform this operation because the default mail client is not properly installed".
I was clicking the link in Firefox, Firefox is my default browser, The Bat is set as my default program for handling mailto commands and everything was in 100% working order until I updated to v36.
On another computer also running Windows 7 Professional, 64 bit with Firefox 36.0.1 this problem does not occur! Clicking on a mailto in that works just as it should. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox, but it made no difference - the problem wouldn't go away.

Yes, all the default settings are correct, that was my first port of call.
However, it would seem it's not just a Firefox problem. The same thing happens in Internet Explorer, Safari just puts up an error message saying it can't open the specified address because Windows doesn't recognise Internet addresses starting with mailto:
...... BUT ...... if I load Opera or Chrome the mailto links work 100% correctly! -
Mailto does not work in one particular profile. XP FF 3.6.8
mailto will work in other profiles, but not the primary one. what file in the relavant profiles subfolder can I substitue from another working profile?

Mailto links are not working. How do I set mailto: links to open in Outlook?
mailto: links used to open in Outlook. Then they began opening Gmail, so I uninstalled the Google Toolbar. Now mailto: links do nothing when I click on them. A mailto-link does not work anymore in Acrobat Reader XI
A mailto-link, i.e. mailto:[email address]?subject=[subject] in a PDF does not work anymore as it should be. Het whole mailto string is send to the TO-line in Outlook 2010.

Line breaks (%0a) not working in pre-populated mailto links?
Anyone else having this problem?
I'm using mailto links in my folio that include "subject" and "body" information, so that when the user clicks on the link, it opens a prepopulated email that is ready to send.
Unfortunately, the line breaks (%0a) are not working, so a nicely formatted email with a couple paragraphs and a signoff at the bottom is turning into one long string of text.
The weird thing is, every other special character (e.g. %20 for spaces) is working just fine.
For example, here's a mailto link I might use:
mailto:test%40test.com?subject=subject%20test&body=Here's%20my%20first%20paragraph.%0A%0AH ere's%20my%20second%20paragraph.%20There%20should%20be%20a%20full%20break%20before%20and%2 0after.%0A%0ASincerly%2C%0AiPad%20email%20test
Every character will work just fine except for the %0A%0A portion of the code.
That is going on?You have to edit the XML Source code to do this. First, put a value in the object tab > value tab > Default box so that you can find it easily in the XML code. Click on the field to select it, then click on the XML Source tab. This will take you to the first line in the XML code that defines the field. Then all you need to do is insert:

wherever you want a carriage return. This will also overwrite the value when data is typed into the form and saved. FYI, the reason your values aren't kept when you script in the default value is that the script is still in the form when you save it, so re-opening the form simply resets the default value to the script. -
Mailto: link not working from a particular website but works from others
the mailto: links on my website are not working in firefox v26.0 but other sites mailto links work perfectly well and open gmail has i would expect them to. i know the links on my site are working has i have tested them in chrome and work has expected so the issue is purely within firefox.

Tried everything that has been suggested so far without success,
I therefore unistalled firefox and rebooted computer and reinstalled FF and retested the links from the top level frameset then clicking the Contact Us link in the left frame.
The mailto: links when clicked on now open a newly composed message by firstly initiating a new tab within chrome its self (mailto: set to use google chrome within Options-> Options->Applications). If I set this to be Use Gmail then the problem i was having returns.
Does anyone have any suggestions of why this is. -
