Main Not found in Eclipse Editor

Hello Guys!
I am trying to run a simple java program in Eclipse for the first time, and it is giving me the error:
" The active editor does not contain mail type".
I am confused as where is the problem.
Any sort of help will be highly appreciated.
Thanx
Harbir

Check the signature of main. It is important that it is not any of:
static public void Main(String [ ] args)
public void main(String [ ] args)
static void main(String [ ] args)
void main(String [ ] args)
static public void main()but
static public void main(String [ ] args)(The void can be replaced by int also) If you have a method in a class named like this you
should be able to follow ChristianMenne's instructions. If not ask in a eclipse newsgroup
at http://www.eclipse.org

  • Load: class oracle.forms.engine.Main not found Stuck at loading Java Applet

    Hi there
I have recently installed App Server 10.1.2.0 on a new machine.
Copied all my forms to an appropriate directory. Set up formsweb.cfg to allow them to run and have attempted to run them.
Unfortunately I get stuck at the Loading Java Applet screen, and in the status bar at the bottom it says :
    load: class oracle.forms.engine.Main not found
I have taken a look at the Java Console, and the 2 things that jump out at me are that it appears to be looking for a forms90 directory, which seems odd since I am using App Server 10.1.2.0.2 and Forms Builder 10.1.2.0.2 meaning it should be looking in a forms directory not forms90 directory shouldnt it ?
And also, it mentions class with no proxy, so on looking around the forums it has been suggested that put the proxy details into jinitiator, which I have done, but this has made no difference either.
Can anyone suggest anything else please ?
    Java Console log follows.
    Thanks a lot

  • Oracle.forms.engine.Main not found.java.lang.ClassNotFoundException error

    Hi Members,
I am getting the oracle.forms.engine.Main not found.java.lang.ClassNotFoundException error when trying to access Oracle forms using APEX 2.2.1 and SSO.
    load:class.oracle.forms.engine.Main not found
The forms have been compiled, forms path setup properly and the setup required to run forms seems to be right. Jinitiator has also been installed.
I have searched the forums and tried everything. I have checked jinitiator settings, cleared cache and even reinstalled it. Do you have any experience with this error? Appreciate any answers. Thanks.
    Ravi.

    Dear Friends,
I was also facing the same problem. to solve this, i have uninstalled Oracle Jinitiator. Cleared all the temporary internet files & cookies. Then while running the form, when it asks to install JInitiator, i have specified a different path for jinitiator, For Example, By default it asks for C:\programfiles, i have changed it to c:\manish directory.
This has solved my problem. Probably this also help you.

In my case, on my machine, the codebase virtual directory name is defined as forms60java and is mapped to the Forms_Home\Forms60\Java directory, which is where the f60allxxx.jar files are stored.
    Alias /forms60java/ "D:\Oracle\806\FORMS60\java/"
Look out for the 6iServer.conf file on the Oracle9iAs installation of Forms. In this file you see the value used in your configuration. Open the formsweb.cfg file (assuming you are using the Forms Servlet) in the forms60/server directory and search for the "codebase" parameter. The value should be the relative path mapping in the 6iServer.conf file.
You can test if the codebase value works in that you copy an image to the forms60/java directory and call it by
    http:// ..../<forms_mapping>/gifname

  • Frm-10205 Menu MAIN not found

Hi, i have a KBW_MENU.mmx. i'm trying to add the menu to a new form (MAIN), i have change the 'menu module' to the path of the KBW_MENU.mmx and set the initial menu to MAIN. But i'm getting this error 'frm-10205 Menu MAIN not found'. i'm running 10g release 2.

    1) do you really have a kbw_menu.mmx in the path or just a kbw_menu.mmb. You must have a mmx.
    2) Did you try just leaving the initial menu property blank?
    3) The initial menu must be blank or a menu within kbw_menu.mmx.
    4) You most likely dont have a "main" menu in the kbw_menu.mmx file. Do you have a "main_menu"?
    5) Open up the mmb and use the exact name of one of the menus within.
    From the help...
    Initial Menu
Specifies the name of the individual menu in the menu module that Oracle Forms should use as the main, or top-level, menu for this invocation. End users cannot navigate above the menu specified as the starting menu. By default, the starting menu is the menu named in the menu module property, Main Menu. The Initial Menu property allows you to override the Main Menu property.

  • Deployment problem on WLS8.1sp3: com.sun.javac.Main not found

    Hi,
I have a curious problem, after adding some simple (logging) code to an Session Bean, the EAR file will not deploy. I get the message below concerning compilation problems. • Error oracle.forms.engine.Main not found.java.lang.ClassNotFoundException

    Hi all,
I tried to update oracle_logo.gif in forms jar which is in f90all_jinit jar. I placed my icon in forms\oracle\forms\icons and renamed it as oracle_logo.gif while removing the existing one. Then I did jar the forms and placed that in f90all_jinit and again did jar f90all_jinit. Then, I placed this in ORACLE-HOME/forms90/java. When I tried to run the form...the form could not open and the java console shows this..
    Loading http://<MACHINE_NAME>:8888/forms90/java/f90all_jinit.jar from JAR cache
load: class oracle.forms.engine.Main not found.java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: java.io.IOException: open HTTP connection failed.     at sun.applet.AppletClassLoader.getBytes(Unknown Source)     at sun.applet.AppletClassLoader.access$100(Unknown Source)     at sun.applet.AppletClassLoader$1.run(Unknown Source)     at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method)     at sun.applet.AppletClassLoader.findClass(Unknown Source)     at sun.plugin.security.PluginClassLoader.findClass(Unknown Source)     at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source)     at sun.applet.AppletClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source)     at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source)     at sun.applet.AppletClassLoader.loadCode(Unknown Source)     at sun.applet.AppletPanel.createApplet(Unknown Source)     at sun.plugin.AppletViewer.createApplet(Unknown Source)     at sun.applet.AppletPanel.runLoader(Unknown Source)     at sun.applet.AppletPanel.run(Unknown Source)     at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)
Can anyone guide me on how to get rid of this error ? Strange thing is that I've removed that f90all_jinit.jar and placed back the existing one (I took backup). But still it's showing the same error and not opening the form. I could and can not do anything without this error corrected.
Please suggest me as soon as possible...
    thank you
    madhu.

  • Oci_connect() not found thru Eclipse

    hello
I used the Eclipse to write a php file to invoke oci_connect() and although I can see oci_connect() in my list of PHP functions, but when run the php script, it complains that oci_connect() is not found. Here is the error message
Debug Error: banklogic.php line 59 - Call to undefined function oci_connect()
    can anyone help ?
    thanks
    Wennie

I can see oci_connect() in my list of PHP functionsWhat are you looking at to see the list?
Check the output of the phpinfo() function in PHP. Check php was compiled with oci8 or you have enabled and/or built the oci8 shared library (depending on your platform). Check you have Oracle client libraries e.g. Oracle Instant Client.

  • Plugin not found in eclipse

In Windows 7 32-bit I just installed the latest eclipse (Indigo) and flash builder (4.6).  Following the plugin install instructions I ran the utility program.  When I run eclipse nothing indicates that it found the plugin -- nothing in perspectives or views menus, nothing in the install history/plugins.  Looking in my eclipse dropin directory I see a .link file to the flash builder directory.
Any suggestions as to what might be wrong?
    --jon

And now I know the answer (I hope)......
    1) On windows 7, life is a LOT easier if Eclipse is NOT located in "Program Files".  Put it in the root, as in "/eclipse".
    2) Through trial and error it seems that Flash Builder 4.6 does NOT work with the latest Eclipse, which is 4.7.1.  It does seem to work fine with 4.7.0 (i.e. the same version distributed with the almost 1GB download -- who thought that was a good idea?).  With Eclipse 3.7.1, playing around with the Flash preferences randomly crashes Eclipse (I have not seen an Eclipse crash in many years -- kudos to Adobe).
    3) It seems that some of the Eclipse defaults under Flash Builder are off.  Under instaled flex sdks I had to manually point it to the right directories.

  • CVP call variables not found in script editor

    Hi,
I installed the Packaged CCE and I am trying to configure a basic CVP routing script. I want to use the Run Ext. Script ICM node but before that I have to set some variables - user.microapp.xyz.
The problem I am facing is that the Set Variable step in ICM doesn't give me the option to specify these call variables as they just do not exist in the list.
I think that the Packaged CCE base configuration script is supposed to create these variables (as per the link below):
    (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cust_contact/contact_center/pcce/pcce_901/installation/guide/PCCE_BK_IBC40C6F_00_installing-and-configuring-pcce_chapter_01000.html)
Create configuration objects to support CVP:
A type 10 Network VRU for CVP along with Network VRU Labels to send calls to CVP
    CVP ECC Variables
    VXML_Server Network VRU Script - GS,V microapp
Any thoughts why these variables are missing on the "Set Variable" step in ICM? I don't see any user.microapp.* options in the list.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Yes, I am new to CCE. This was the issue. After enabling those variables from the CCE web interface they appeared in the script editor.
    Thanks

    database schema:
