I am looking for an easy way to make Cyan and Red color corrections with Lightroom in Develop mode?

Lightroom 5 not rendering the color red correctly

Out of the blue, LR5 has decided to render red as a dark orange - similar to the orange in the SF Giants team colors. But red in the LR5 import previews is correct. It's also correct in a different editor, Faststone Image Viewer and Irfan View.
It's orange when opened in Camera RAW 8.1 from PS Elements 10. So the culprit would seem to be Camera Raw 8.1.

Couldn't you reach 120 Luminance in Eye One Match in advanced mode using the display's Brightness control? Are you using on the 'Custom' display preset mode and adjusting the RGB controls in Eye One Match for 6500K? Try downloading the latest Eye One Match v3.6.2 software, uninstall what you have now and reinstall with the new download v3.6.2. Something's wrong with the calibration process.
Please provide your display control settings, including Brightness, Contrast, RGB Color, and any other display control settings. Here's what TFT Central used:

Firstly I calibrated the screen using LaCie's software suite while also changing the monitor to the 'Custom' preset mode, affording me access to the RGB colour controls. During the calibration process the screens brightness was adjusted to 20%, with contrast being left at 50%. RGB values were altered to 92, 90 and 98 respectively. It should be noted that OSD adjustments only form part of the calibration process with the majority of changes being made automatically at the graphics card LUT level.
After calibration, the results of the test and report were far more pleasing! Luminance was corrected nicely to 121 cd/m2, with black depth being improved also to 0.18 cd/m2. This gave us a static contrast ratio of 672:1 which was adequate. The gamma was now corrected to 2.2, and colour temperature was also now recorded at 6477k (<1% out). Most impressively the colour accuracy was improved drastically, with dE average being only 0.5, and maximum being only 1.0. LaCie would consider colour accuracy to be excellent here, and this was certainly a very pleasing improvement to the default factory settings.

Is making it both red or green safe as long as it's in the PSA?

Say for example a delta fell over for master data when trying to update to the target. I proceed to put the correct master data into the infoObject and activate. If the delta reached the PSA - would it matter wether I set the delta's technical status red or green and deleted it out of the target and the reconstructed? - basically I am trying to find out if you get data loss in one of the scenarios or no data loss in both scenarios?

Always, it is safe having the data in PSA. If a Delta failed, yes you can load it from PSA, also if some errors are there we could correct it in there.
When the data is loaded correctly what is the reason to make the request RED ??? Also, if u delete it and load again it will give a message like "The delta has been loaded already".

First thing to always do is write a Certified Return Receipt letter or just copy the post you made and send it to Verizon Wireless and dispute it in writing.
Then walk down to your local court and file a small claims court case against Verizon for all the fraudulent charges. Verizon will call you before that court case and then it may be possible to get this wiped off your account.
Also file a BBB complaint http://www.bbb.org
Again Verizon will contact you to offer to settle. Get the settlement in writing not verbal. Or proceed to court.
Sorry you are going through hell for something you should never have had to go through.

Cyan (no red channel) Display

External display has stopped (intermitently) showing red, effect is that everything has a very heavy cyan cast. I've checked the monitor, cable and adapter with another macbook; the problem isn't there.
Full color returned for a day and just popped off again. There were no big shakes on the desk, so if it is an internal broken connection its a tiny one. What could be causing this? What can I check?
I've already done the sleep, reset, powerdown, SMC reset

It looks like a late 2006 model, but with 1 gig of ram.
I'm using the dvi to vga adapter that came with. All the pins are fine.
I don't think the problem is hardware related. When the screen flashes, when I'm changing the display path, the colors seem to normalize for a moment.

Making a # turn red when it hits a limit

I am trying to put a counter on a page as shown in the select statement.

I am not sure how to make the counter turn red when it hits a fixed number, C3 from table2 as in this sentence.
If count(C1) < C3 from T2, display count(C1) as count(C1)

Earbuds are making my ears red, scaly and itchy

I must be listening to my iPod too many hours a day, although I have used an iPod for years now. Lately, I am getting red, scaly and itchiness inside my ears. I mostly use the earbuds that came with the iPod and they have the foam coverings. I even tried buying new covers thinking maybe I had over-used one set, but that doesn't help. I have to just not use the earbuds for days to get my ears to go back to normal. I can plug my iPod into external speakers when I am home, but I like being able to listen to my iPod while out walking or at work. Has anyone else had this problem?

Well, I didn't use my earbuds at all for a few days and the problem began to go away. I then switched to using different types of earbuds and so far so good. I think it may be the foam covers on the original earbuds that is the problem.

When making adjustments with lens correction, the crop isnt contrained to the image

When I first installed CC I was able to rotate, or adjust the image in lens correction and it would automatically crop to the available image dimensions.
But I deselected the contrain to image section in crop mode, and since then it hasnt work, even though contrain to image in crop tool has since been re-selected, many times.
Any idea whats wrong?

Making customers pay for correcting bad software?

As a current paid user of CS5, I'm outraged that Adobe is trying to make us pay for an update to correct their poorly coded software which could potentially expose my private data to a hacker. Making sure I'm correctly connected. Extreme and (2) Express's

I have an Extreme and two Express's for wireless connections. My Mac Pro 2.26 is connected via hard-wire to the Extreme. I also have 3 other Mac's in the house which connect wirelessly.
In the Airport Utility, under Wireless, the Extreme is set to "Create a wireless network".
Both the Express's, under Wireless, are set to "Extend a wireless network".
I've been reading that some folks have been telling other folks to set the Extreme to "Participate in a WDS network", and the Express also set to "Participate in a WDS network".
I'm trying to get the best connection out of my wireless hook-up.
Any suggestions regarding which is best?

If your Extreme and Expresses are all "n" capable, the best setting by far for your Expresses is "extend a wireless network". Check to make sure that you have "allow wireless clients" checked on the Wireless setup page for each Express.
The reason for this is that WDS penalizes you 50% of your bandwidth for each device that you add to the base station. So with one Express, you have 1/2 the bandwidth of your original network. With two Expresses, you are down to 1/4 of the original bandwidth. Imagine a busy four lane highway that suddenly becomes a single lane to get an idea of the speed penalty that WDS can apply.
WDS must be used if any device on the network is "g" only, so that is why you may see some advice to use WDS on a network.
On your Extreme, also check to make sure that you have "allow this network to be extended" checked on the Wireless setup page.
If your wireless network is setup correctly, you should be able to get fairly uniform speeds throughout your house. It may take a bit of experimenting to find the right position of reach Express. In general, start with the Express positioned approximately half way between the Extreme and the area you want to reach. Then move the Express closer or further away for best results depending on obstructions, walls, etc.
You can get a quick speed check on your network by holding down the option key while you click on the fan shaped Airport icon at the top of your screen. Look for the Transmit Rate.

Making GUI update at correct time

I'm creating an engine that can display experimental stimuli for my lab working with kids with reading disabilities. I have a GUI which can display the next stimuli in the test. Once the stimuli are displayed, the program does nothing until the user presses a button and a key event is called.
I'm now trying to get my GUI to play recorded words to the user. Because it's the responsibility of the GUI to display stimuli, the GUI will be the one playing the sound (even though that's not typically thought of as a GUI responsibility). Unfortunately, even though the commands to update the GUI display are placed before the command to play the sound, the GUI does not update until it has finished playing the sound.
This has nothing to do with the sound itself: if I replace the clip.play() line with a loop that wastes time and spins around for five seconds, the GUI does not update for those five seconds.
The GUI updates itself the moment the program leaves the setStimuli() method. How can I get it to update itself before then? Commands such as this.repaint() don't appear to work.
Any thoughts on how to get the GUI to update itself before exiting the method?

Ok, so just for the sake of it, I tried using the Timer method as suggested in the thread you pointed me to. This doesn't do anything, but thinking about it, I don't see why it would. Timer calls repaint() every 50 ms, but, after all, the setStimuli() method also called repaint() before playing the soundclip. If the original call of repaint() didn't do anything, then I don't think that calling it more often would.
Is there another command that I should be using? In other words, how can I tell my JFrame and JLabels to "UPDATE RIGHT NOW, NOT IN A MINUTE!"? (It would be easier if I were the JFrame's mother...)

Error while loading to active data table in DSO

Hi,
In the displaying error message tab of ODS activation, you will get error message and invalid value for the 0CALMONTH will be displayed. Search the NEW TABLE of ODS with the same value, identify the error records.
If you have PSA in the flow, delete (w/o making the status RED), correct data in PSA and reconstruct the data.
If you don't have PSA, you have to delete by making red, reload through PSA correcting the erroneous data in PSA.

MacBook Pro 13" Screen going red and cyan at certain angles

Started doing this yesterday out of the blue - at certain angles the screen turns cyan and red. Brought MacBook around year ago, not sure what to do next. Tried doing the command R thing at start up to reinstall OS X as one feed said to do that, but it didn't work. Tried getting an appointment at the genius bar, but can't until next week! Any ideas what's going on/what to do next?

Command + R gives you access to the built in utilities in OS X Recovery
If your Mac won't boot using OS X Recovery, definitely mention that as well when you take it to the Apple Store.
T'hat's the only way you can restore or repair OS X on your Mac.
The display color issue doesn't sound like a hard drive issue. Perhaps an issue with the graphics card or a problem with the display.

Selective Color Correction - Adding to multiple channels

Hi - I am using CS3 on a Mac OSX 10.5.6
I am experiencing an oddity when making color adjustments with Selective Color Correction. I am working with RGB images trying to adjust to get colors in gamut and to maintain detail before converting to CMYK. As an example, I have an image comprised of various red items. I want to add cyan to get some detail for the highly saturated areas. Regardless of the Relative or Absolute setting, when I add cyan I am also getting a lot of black added. By the time I get a 3% dot in cyan I may have 10-12% K. When I reduce the black it also reduces the cyan.
Is this because I am in RGB mode? I want to make these adjustments before separating to CMYK so I can keep detail that is getting blown away in the conversion. I would have hoped that because it is controlled with sliders for CMYK it would isolate it's effects to the specific channel but that is not what is happening.
Any ideas?

If you are trying to bring totally oversaturated RGB colors into the CMYK gammut, then ideally you will have to learn about channel mixing. It may be necessary to reproduce the Cyan channel (Red) by finding detail from other channels. Selective color, as you've discovered can only take you so far.
Luminosity blended Hue/saturation adjustments taken to low opacity is another high end tip, and work around. If you cant deal with the complexity of masking and channel mixing
