Making Lease Payments

Hi this is my first post here.  My company is implementing Asset Management and Lease Accounting.  They've recorded an operating lease that created the vendor payable.  This payable has a line item for each payment, but they're all on the same document.  Because it's the same document number, F110 won't pick this line item up in the payment run.  How do we make the Lease payments?  There's an example attached.

Hi Mukthar,
Do we need to setup an installment payment terms for this process?  The current payment term isn't an installment.  It's setup to pay on zero days from the document date (Due immediately).
The single document number 110000060, has 48 vendor line items.  Each line item has a different baseline date.  These baseline dates were driven from the monthly installments setup in the AA module.
You can see here the different line item baseline dates.  If the payment term is setup correctly, will each of these line items be cleared monthly when the payment run is made through F110?

  • Asset Lease accounting -non Linear lease payment

We are currently having a business scenario where an asset is acquired on capital lease basis.
Different depreciation area is maintained for leasing to account for interest on leasing.
The payments are made in monthly for lease payment.
The lease payment amount changes every year.
The lease tab in asset calculates Net present value on the basis on lease payment entered in the leasing tab.
Now since the lease payment varies every year the net present value calculation will be different(not as calculated in asset master -leasing tab).
I am not aware if the asset module can take care of any non-linear payment scenario to calculate the NPV and interest accordingly.
Example an asset ABC is acquired as capital/finance lease basis on
monthly lease payment  for 4 years as follows:
The said asset is to be capitalized  with net present value and we also need to ensure that interest calculation is done accordingly.
    1st year  1000/month
    2nd year  2000/month
    3rd year  1500/month
    4th year  1900/month
Since in lease tab only single lease payment can be entered, how the different monthly lease payment can be entered so as to calculate correct NPV.
Next how the correct interest calculation and net present value can be calculated correctly.
If any one has come across such situation, please reply.
    Regards,
    Manish Garg

    Hi ,
SAp 4.7 does not support non linear lease payment. Only the Equal lease instalment can be generated automatically when you will go for opening balance at the leasing tab of the display assets(AS03).
But the ECC6.0 support the change over the lease instalment,

    Hi Suresh,
Every organisation is liable to deduct TDS/withholding tax on certain type of services availed, either at the time of making the payment or at the time of accounting Invoice.
In SBO, we can automate the calculation and deduction of tds on both the occasions.
For this:- Applicable TDS rates should have been pre-configured and should be assigned to Business Partner Master Records.
You configure Withholding taxes in - administration/definition(Setup)/Financials/Tax/Withholding taxes.
You assign the WH Tax codes in BP Master in BP Master/Accounting/Tax Tab/check box subject to withholding taxes.
    Assign points if useful.

  • Making the payment, I can use Photoshop after 30 day trial?

Hello everyone! I have a question. Did you guys could help me? I bought the "Creative Cloud" package to use "Photoshop" Free. At present, I am using the evaluation package for 30 days. My question is: After making the payment I can continue using Photoshop for free? Can I use Photoshop for free after 30 days of evaluation? Thank you in advance for the answers.

The trial version expires automatically after the 30 days are over. It will prompt you purchase the product when the 30 days are about to get over, if you have decided to buy then that could be done.

  • Can FI-CAx be used for making outgoing payments to business partners

    Hi All,
Can we use the installment plan in FI-CA for the outgoing payments to business partners. Our company has lot of lease contracts and these contracts have payments due to be paid on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual basis. All these lease contracts are managed in SAP Real estate Flexible objects. We want to use FI-CAx for making payments to these contracts and hence we are looking for integration between FI-CA and RE-flexible objects.
From what I heard FI-CA is a receivables module and is not best suited for payables, so please let me know if we can use the outgoing payment plan and installment plan in FI-CA for making payments to business partners.
This is a bottleneck in our implementation. So please help me asap.
Thanks in advance. Points will be awarded to all the useful solutions.
    Santosh

    Hi Santhosh,
    FYI my answers below
Can we use the instalment plan in FI-CA for the outgoing payments to business partners.
u2022I would say Yeah. ofcourse there is a way to do it provided you have created existing OI in Real estate in FI-CAX. This is because, weu2019d Refund money to the customer. In the same token I do not see any problem in paying monies to them!!!!
u2022You need to create your RE-FX contracts unto FICA as Contract Accounts <1:1 ratio>.
Our company has lot of lease contracts and these contracts have payments due to be paid on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual basis. All these lease contracts are managed in SAP Real estate Flexible objects. We want to use FI-CAx for making payments to these contracts and hence we are looking for integration between FI-CA and RE-flexible objects.
u2022Assuming that you have your RE-Fx data unto FICA, next step is to configure Instalment plans < monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual >.
u2022Next you create Instalment plans for the contract accounts <FICA> as required.
u2022Now, if you want to pay the amount, you need to attach outgoing payment method in Contract Account, Configure your Payment program.
    u2022Now run your Payment Run <FPY1 =4.72; FPYS = ECC>.
u2022All the OI would be cleared. If you want to send the file to the bank, you can do so or you can also issue cheques.
From what I heard FI-CA is a receivables module and is not best suited for payables, so please let me know if we can use the outgoing payment plan and instalment plan in FI-CA for making payments to business partners.
    u2022Look above.
    OI = Open Item
Other points you need to consider:
    1. Are the amounts in RE-FX consistent <equal through out the installment plans>?
    2. Do you want to create separate Installment plans in FICA?
    3. If yes, above should be helpful.
    4. If not, identify an Interface between RE-FX and FICA.
    5. What are your plans to close the Contracts in RE-FX once all the Installment plans are being paid in FICA?
    6. Do you want to establish an Interface between RE-FX and FICA so that data would be transferred bt them automatically?
7.Is point no 6 one way or 2 ways <i.e RE-FX to FICA and vice versa>
    8. What is the volume and frequency?
    9.Other points if any
    Does this helps?

  • Problem while making incoming  payment entries

I am making check incoming payment entries in SAP-B1. As we receive check payment entries, it is crediting clearing check account & debiting account receivables.
Please let us know how do  bank account will be credited & clearing check account will be debited.

    Hi........
The entries are goming perfect. Actully in Incoming Payment there are two stage of entries.
    1. Incoming Payment from Customer where cheque receive
    2. Deposit in which check wil be deposited.
So in first option Cheque will be debited and customer Account will be settled.
in second step you have to deposit this cheque where Cheque account will be credited and deposit Bank will be  debited.
This way your accounting happens and accounts for cheque will be settled.
Hope this will clear the concept.

  • ZX_TAX_RATE_NOT_EXIST when importing lease payment invoices from Assets

    All,
    I am on 12.1.2
I have created a lease agreement in oracle assets and run the export lease rentals to payables program.
Then, I ran the "Payables Open Interface Import" program.
The invoices fail import with error "ZX_TAX_RATE_NOT_EXIST - This Tax Rate does not exist".
I have not given any tax code for the lease or the invoice. Also have checked the supplier master and there is no tax setup.
    Please advise.
    Thanks,
    Vishal.

    Hello JD
I had read that note earlier. It says "The tax rate specified on the imported tax line does not exist. The provided tax rate should be existing to get processed".
As i mentioned, my invoice does not have any tax line. So I am not sure why this error msg is coming.
    Thanks Vishal.

But the function returns an error:
'Enter a payment currency different to USD'
But if I would set with different currencies, it returns an error:
    'Balance in transaction currency'
If the ACCOUNTPAYABLE-PYMT_CUR and ACCOUNTPAYABLE-PYMT_AMT were remained empty, it returns
    'Balance in transaction currency'
What should I do about this currency setting.
Someone please let me know about doing this right way.

    Hi,
Just in case you found this thread with the same problem.
At least in my case what was happening is that I wanted to leave the currency fields blank (the same currency as payment value) but I was filling in ACCOUNTPAYABLE-PYMT_AMT, so was receiving error telling me that currency fields could not be empty. And if I set them to the same as payment, I would receive a message telling me that currency must be different.
If you want to use only one currency you don't need to fill in these 3 fields:
    ACCOUNTPAYABLE-PYMT_AMT
    ACCOUNTPAYABLE-PYMT_CUR
    ACCOUNTPAYABLE-PYMT_CUR_ISO
The same probably applies for the ACCOUNTRECEIVABLE table.
    Cheers,
    Erick

  • TDS not deducted at the time of making adv payment to vendor through F-48

    Hi experts,
While doing entry through F-48,TDS is not deducting by system.
    Please advise.
    Regards,
    Samaar

    Hi Samar
First you have to check GL account settings for the relevant Recon account in FS00.
If its ok, You need to assign both the tax types and the relevant tax codes for the Vendor.
For the Payment category, assign only the tax type and not the tax code.
In this case you have to put tax codes manually at the time of advance payment.
    Thanks

  • The system is making excess payment of lunch subsidy

    Dear All,
we have an issue with a wagwtype called lunch subsidy. The wage
type works fine for every one but when it come to a newly joined
    executive it makes excess payments.
Lunch Subsidy for an executive is max Rs 1000/- for the month
    (excluding Holidays)
There is a PCR which calculates the lunch subsidy days .
Issue is that the PCR calculates the lunch subsidy days correctly for
executives from the second month onwards.i.e where it finds a full
    month.
When an exucutive joins in the middle of the months or on the last day
of the month the PCR is unable to calculate the days from joning date ,
insted it calculates for whole month and give Rs 1000/- as payment.

  • Making a Payment via Credit Card

So I don't use paypal a lot and I only had to recently when it came to purchasing certain things for my study abroad trip. So I need to make a payment to PayPal and tie off my credit balance. In the past I remember simply paying the amount with my attached credit card, but for some reason when I go to payment, it is not listed as a payment option. How can I pay with my credit card because I DO NOT want to attach my bank account information and also CAN NOT because I don't have the required informatio with me while I'm abroad. Thank you

This is how PayPal uses ones funding sources, don't know if that's helps you figure things out or not: PayPal will first look at your PayPal Account balance, if you have insufficient funds, PayPal will then take the funds from your Bank Account. PayPal will do an instant transfer from your bank account assuming you have a current linked and confirmed credit card. If the card is not current or no card, then the transfer from your bank account to pay for the purchase can take a few days, possibly up to 4. If you have a credit card and no bank account, then the credit card will be used. This all happens assuming you don't elect to choose a funding source. Note, If you have both a bank account and credit card, you can choose to pay with your credit card on the PayPal Checkout screens by using the pay with another source option. There you can select your card from the dropdown. It is possible to pay using the funds in your Account balance and the remainder with a credit card however, you must first elect to pay with your credit card. Your available balance will be used up and the remainder is charged to your card. As this now looks like you've sent a single payment, you remain eligible for Buyer Protection. You would not be eligible for Buyer Protection, if you paid for the item with two separate transactions. What you cannot do is split a single payment between 2 bank accounts, 2 credit/debit card accounts or a bank account and a credit/debit card account. In addition, you cannot split a single payment between 2 PayPal accounts.
