Manual posting to G/L

Hello,
I have a scenario where we have the COGS G/L which is blocked for Manual postings. Now in case of a Third party sales scenario when the PO is created from the Sales order it is a account assigned PO so the G/L determined from GBB- VAX is the COGS G/L. But now as this G/L is locked for manual posting I am not able to process the PO.
Is there anyway I can bypass this lock for this particular scenario.
Kindly advise,
Points will be awarded,
Thanks

For this G/L Account you select Field Status group either G067 or Post Automatically only check box.
Check this G/L A/C and go ahed
If it use plz assign points

  • PCA Manual Posting - Open/close posting periods

    All,
Is there a way you can open or close PCA posting periods? The FI posting period control does not control the PCA manual posting. We need however to do this. Is there a way to do it. I know I can create a validation. But is there any other way?
    Regards,

    Hello,
here is the one and only correct answer for your question:
Unfortunately, there is no possibility to lock periods / posting
    transactions in PCA (including distributions).
There are only two possibilities to prevent postings to profit centers:
    1. is to completely lock them in the master data via transaction KE52 (tab 'Indicators' -> activate 'Lock indicator'. Please read also the F1-help here for the field 'Lock indicator')
    2. to lock one complete fiscal year in the entire Profit-Center
       Accounting via transaction 1KEF.
One important reason is that PCA receives its postings from preliminary applications like MM, CO, FI. Therefore, postings can only be locked in those applications (like in FI via TN OB52 or in CO via TN OKP1 or FI-SL via GCP1), but not directly in PCA.
Excpetions from that are described in the SAP notes 436384 and´836218 for manual postings made with transactions 1KEL and 9KE0. With the coding corrections of the both notes a period lock is possible for these two transactions.
It is not planned to have a general functionality of period locks in Profitcenter Accounting. PCA should be always open for postings. It is designed to be the receiving application of data delivered by the preliminary applications. Therefore period locks must be handled / maintained also in those applications.
    Best regards,

  • Manually Posting costs to AUC

    Hi Experts,
    A) In Old server:
A1. There is some cost in AUC, which has been partially settled from WBS Element to the Asset no. of AUC.
    B) New Server:
B1. The cost available in AUC of old server has to be migrated in a new sever. And then same cost has to be settled from AUC of New server to the fixed asset of new server
    Problems:
    1.     How to manually post the costs in Asset no. of AUC of new server?
    2.     There is no cost line item in a WBS element of AUC of new server. How to define a settlement rule (from AUC to Fixed Asset) for a such a kind of WBS element?
    Kindly do the nedful
    Thanks and Regards,
    Satya Vani.

    Hi,
As far as my knowledge goes when you have a two step settlement i.e, Prliminary to AUC and Final to Main assets, all the actual costs have to be posted to AUC periodically and before close of Asset year. Once asset year is closed system will not allow you to post previous year's costs to AUC in the current year.
A work around will be to create a duplicate WBSe transfer all the unsettled costs to it and continue with the settlement.

  • How to control column width in manual posting ?

    Hi gurus,
I have some manual posting tasks with associated document types. In some of them when you get into the screen to record the manual data, the columns titles  are so wide that the rigthmost columns get out of the screen and one needs to scroll horizontally.
Is there some way in wich I can fix columns width? I think if I narrow manually the columns and then fix this layout?
    Thank you.

    Hi,
I beleive you work in the language other than English. I encounter this very annoying system's behaviour while working in Russian.
I know that some notes are dedicated to solving of this or that problem in particular language.
The easiest way to make some "stubborn" settings is to do it in English and the return to your locale.

  • Manual posting for returnable packaging ( RL11)

    Hi
    Iam supplier of OEM
I have created returnable packaging account with following details
    Location - My plant
Exchange partne - OEM  (sold to party)
    In relationship --
Main -- Type plant Location plant number / Exchange partner---- type customer - sold to part number
sub relationship -- Type plant Location plant number /  Exchange partner---- type vendor-vendor number of OEM
I want to do manual posting after doing delivery to customer.
Please guide me about step by step inputs to be made in transaction RL11
    Iam new to returnable packaging

    Hello,
normally the posting should be made in background automatically when the packaging material is used in the delivery note.
To post a manual record, you need to insert at minimum the following in the RL11:
    - Movement type 811
    - Material number
    - Quantity
    - Reference (your delivery number)
    company code
and the locations (e.g. plant and customer)
    see attached screenshot.
If everything is correct you get a green check symbol at the beginning.

  • Manual posting at level 20 - number of lines available in cons monitor

    Hello,
I have a question concerning manual postings. We have created a document type and a task for manual postings connected to intercompany eliminations (posting level 20). In the monitor, the users only have 10 lines available for the manual posting and I have not been able to figure out how to increase the number of lines. Has anyone else been able to get more than 10 lines, or is that a limit?
    Thanks in advance!
    Kerstin

Well, that would be great - but I tested it and I couldn´t make it work? I will try this with my customer again tomorrow, if we can´t make it work I hope it´s OK if I get back to with a follow-up question?
    Kind Regards,

  • Manually posting Tax adjustment

    Hi,
I am stating the scenario below, so that you can reproduce the same.
    Scenario:
    1. Purchase some stock -- amount 100 is posted to Inventory as Debit
    2. Input VAT %8 - posted to Input VAT as Debit
    3. Total 108- posted to Vendor as Credit
But after counting , user finds there a loss in inventory of amount 100
    4. Inventory Losses 100--Posted to Inventory Count Losses as Debit
    5. Correction Inventory 100--Posted to Inventory as Credit
Currently this is what is happening. The user from Turkey, wants to have output tax calculated and posted to Output VAT as credit and
    corresponding debit to Expense account.
But we could not find that there is any scope in system for the same.
The below two steps are required.
    6. Output VAT 8--Posted to Output VAT as Credit
    7. Expense for VAT Correction 8--Posted to Expense GL as Debit
Please let me know how to achieve the 6th and 7th steps.
we are using MI07 to post inventory difference. Please advise as to how out
put tax calculation can be taken in to consideration while posting Inventory
    Difference through MI07.
Please let me know if this can be achieved by manually posting TAX .
If it is possible, please let me know how.
    Regards
    Rudra

    any pointers please?

  • Block GL manual posting

I am going to block a G/L account (cost of goods sold) to prevent a manual posting of users. Once I have clicked the check box "posting automatic only" in FS00, I found those idocs have posting error - did not create an article doc and FI doc. If i unclick the check box and repost idocs, those idocs past to FI correctly.
In this case, how can i block the G/L to prevent users enter cost manually? Anyone can help me?
    Thanks

    Hello,
    a. Identify the GL accounts which you want to block posting
    b. Go to transaction code GS01. Create a set with BSEG-HKONT or BSEG-SAKNR and give the list of GL accounts that you want to restrict posting to.
    c. Identify transaction codes through which you dont want to allow posting. Like F-02, FB01, FB70 etc., and create a set again for the t code list.
    d. Now, go to creation of validation rule.
    e. In prerequisite, check for whether the tcode is in the set and the company code is the one where you want to build the control.
    f. In "Check",  confirm whether the GL account used in this entry is there in set
    g. If the first condition passes and the second condition fails then design an error message "you cannot post to this account directly"

  • Manual posting to Retained Earnings & Reserves Account

    Hello Experts,
Due to acquisition which was an assets sale, we have to adjust the reserves and retained earnings balance in our SAP ECC 5.0 version.  My understanding is we can't post a manual posting to retained earnings account and wondering how can I achieve a set balance by making adjustments.
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated!
    Thanks
    Mohammed.

    Hi:
SAP does not recommend manual posting to RE Account . In order to have effects in RE please open the previous fiscal year (if the entry or an adjustment pertains to closed fiscal year). Post the normal entry which should have been passed under normal circumstances. Please note that entry should be posted in special period of closed fiscal year. Having posted the entry execute FAGLGVTR , this will now carry forward an adjusted RE balance.
    Hope this will help you.

  • Asset Depreciation Posting : Manually Posted??

    Hi All,
I am facing a new problem related to asset accounting, that whenever i try to post the dep to a newly created asset through AFAB system creates no documents and the message comes like : "One depreciation document already manually posted." But my asset is new and i have not posted any dep till yet, so that message is coming.
    Please help me.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Suman

    Hello
This is probably because you are using a document type with same number range than another doc. type that has already  been used to post manually.
When posting Depreciation last entry in TABA from previous
posting run is used to assign next doc. number (if is the first posting it will take first number from the number range assigned to dep. doc. type).
Do not use number range used for depreciation for other doc. types.
Display doc. number already posted with FB03 to find out
    more.

  • BCS Manual Posting Task

    Hi All,
I need help with creating a manual posting task in BCS as I keep getting a short dump.  I am using SEM 6.
I have created a Manual Posting Task with description, cons frequency and doc type.  I have created a doc type for manual posting and made selections for the properties.  Is there anything else that I need to do?
When I try and execute the task I get a short dump: MESSAGE_TYPE_X.  These are the other key words listed in the dump: SAPLSLVC, LSLVCF01 or LINE_OUT_NEW_2.  I have looked for SAP Notes but can't find anything relevant.
Please tell me if there is other configuration I need to do.
    Many Thanks,
    Julia

    Hello Julia,
BCS 6.0 need to have implemented a lot of notes or at least 6.0 level 10.
Otherwise you will have dumps e. g. after execution of tasks.
I dont know whether it solves your problem but I gues it will solve it.
We had dumps here after execution of a task as well before we updated to level 10.
you find messages concerning those dumps here:

  • Check whether the document text is filled in the manual posting document.

    Dear BCS experts,
Our client would like to have a check whether the document text is filled in the manual posting document.
Do you have any ideas how it is possible to implement?
    Thanks.

The probelm is solved. I implemented the validation of document header with a condition function.

  • Documents manually posted within dep.doc.number range

    Hi All,
I am running the AFAB and this error message is displayed.
"Documents manually posted within dep.doc.number range"
I am using the document type AF with the external number range
    AF     2008     1120000000     1129999999
Do you have any idea what is happening?
    Thanks in advance,
    Miguel.

    Hi,
I experience the same thing and I'm using ver 4.6C. I've tried to insert the additional number range in FBN1 but I have to remove the extenal number indicator first before I can enter the number.
But when I want to run the depreciation, I've got another error i.e. please create number range as external number. So i believe there is no effect.
When I check in TABA, the number range still maintain the same.
Please help coz my user need to view their asset balance urgently.

  • Manual posting

    Guys,
In UCWB => Master data => Subassignment => Movement type ,
I have Define as follows :
Hierarchy node : Expense which is have : "Selling" and "GA" as the subassignments (Movement type).
Then I have another Hierarchy node : OTHER which is have : Beginning and Addition as the movement type.
    The question is :
If I have breakdown category by movement type, can i limit the value only for hierarky node : Expense ? So when user enter manual posting for FSI that have this breakdown category, He can only enter movement type "Selling" or "GA".
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
If I understood you properly, it might be possible to some extent.
Exactly for purposes like yours the flag "Maximum selection" in the cons area settings is to be used. When you select this flag in breakdown categories settings the  appropriate (with the same name) tab appears. There you may restrict the list of values available for selection.
    Hope this helps.
