Manual selection production version during order creation

hello!
i have setup production orders that during order creation the production version has to be selected manually. this works fine in CO01 and CO40. but in CO41 the production version is determined automatically - where would i change that setting?
best regards,
matthias

Dear Matthias,
In my understanding it is not possible in standard SAP.
If you have manual selection of production version and if you have set the BOM selection method as 2 in
MRP 4 view of the material master then,
1.If you create a production order manually then the system displays the pop up to select a production
version.
2.If you are converting the planned order into a production order then it picks up the one which is
present in the planned order. So obviously if 2 production versions are there with same lot size and
validity dates, then the system picksup the first one only during MRP run.
Even if it picks up the first prod.version in planned order, but while converting click on master data and
change the production version if required.
3.Otherwise what you can do is set the production version in MD61 itself ,so that its going to be
considered during MRP run and same will be included in the planned order.
Check and revert back.

  • Change Production version during creation of Process Order COR1

    Hi,
    Scenario:
Based on the entered Material, Plant and Order type system need to trigger a popup asking the user to select the Production Version. This should happen before clicking on SAVE button, so that all the values will be populated correctly based on the changed VERID.
I did not find a user exit that enables to change the Production Version (VERID) value. So I thought of displaying the popup in the user exit EXIT_SAPLCOZF_003 which will be triggered before initial screen appears, export the selected value and pass it to a User Exit or BADI where VERID can be changed. But cannot find a user exit to do it.
Please help me find a User Exit or BADI to change the Production Version during creation of Process Order using COR1 transaction before clicking on SAVE button.
    Thanks,
    Manoj.

    Hi Manoj,
So - almost four years later - I saw your post and I saw myself in the very same situation as you did...
I found a solution for those who wants to change the production version of the production order from the sales order creation: create an enhancement in the function module 'MD_VERSION_SELECTION' and you are good to go.

  • Capture re pricing during order creation/change

    Hi,
I have to differentiate between standard pricing and re-pricing ( when user has pressed update button on the conditions tab ) in a sales order.
How and where can i get this information during order creation / change.
    Thanks for your replies.
    Abhishek

    hi,
KALSM is the pricing procedure and it will be same for the document during creation and re-pricing, how dose it help in determining if user pressed update button.
    Thanks,

  • Production Order Number and Batch Number same during order creation

    Hi All,
I wanted to keep the Production Order number and Batch Number same during creation.
How I can do that during creation of order only. So during creation same number to be get assigned automatically in the background.
One thing I can maintain ; the same number range for both.
But how to activate other functionality.
    Regards,
    Amit

    Hi SAP2511,
    For Production order-
1.You can define a Order type  and  Mantain the number range same as batch number range (in  OPJH transction)
    For Batch
1.Activate Automatic internal batch assignment - (OMCZ)
    2.Number range for batch - for object - BATCH_CLT - (OMAD)
For batch creation at time of Order creation -
You can create Automatic batch at the time of order creation or order release
1 Create Production scheduler Profile(OPKP) and assign in Work scheduling view of material master for which you want to create batch at the time of order creation or release.(Select automatic batch creation at the time of release or creation in OPKP)
Things to be taken care -
1 . What if you set deleation flag for order?

  • Selection of Production version during MRP run

    Hello experts
At present I am having 2 production versions for a material code as PV01 and MV01.
By putting validity date I am restricting correct version to be picked in MRP.
Is there any other way, for example in material master where if I maintain the production version, then MRP should pick that only.
    Please suggest the best way.
    Regards
    Pradipta Sahoo

    Dear Pradipata,
If you are having more than one production version for a material for the same Lot size and validity
dates, and if you have given BOM selection method as 2 in MRP4 view, then always the system picks up
    the first production version defaultly.
If you want the system to pick up the second production version in that case means, you have to lock
the first production in MM02 or C223.
    Check and revert back.

  • Selecting production version in MRP run

    Hi dudes,
our client is having reuirement is he will select the production version irrespective of lot size, but he select the production version at the time of manual creation of process order where it depends on resource(work center used in recipe of particular production version, BOM will be 1 alternative only.
now while running MRP how to make system to allow manual selection of production version at the time of converting planned order to processs order.
    respond asap plz...
    Daniel.

    Hi ,
During MRP, system will select the production version based on Validity date & Lot size.
If a material contains two production versions with same validity date & Lot size qty , system will select the First valid PV by default (unless it is locked) & will copy to planned order.
When u convert the planned order to production order, default PV will be copied automatically from planned order. Here u cannot select PV manually.
    Settings:
Create valid production version with lot size and Valid routing , BOM at MRP view of Planning material.
Assign the selection method = 2 or 3 at MRP view of Planning Material

    Anand.

  • Automatic selection production version in MFBF

    Hello !
I have a material setted with Selection method = 2(Selection by production version) in Material Master, so, I have two production version: V001 & V002, the last one is locked for any usage.
I need automatic selection of production version in MFBF , but when I'm doing the confirmation the system show the screen of  production version selection  with two versions .
Do you know what is missing for automatic selection works ?
    Thanks a lot.
    Vero

    Hi Vernoica ,
Good Day , PV will be selected based on the lot size and the creation dates.
It will copy the PV (BOM & Routing ) based on Lot size or Explosion date you defind in MRP-4 view i.e. BOM selection ,BY -explosion date,1-lot size,2- by PV and 3 by PV only.
If you would like to get rid the selection of PV,
why dont you try created a production version than only go to material master change screen MM02 in MRP4 view and Select 2 at selection method field.
In the IMG (OPLD) for Order Type Dependent Parameters, the production version selection is already set to manual selection.  But the production version is always defaulted as version 1 which is the first one in the material master and is not asking to select the version at the time of converting the planned order to a production order!
You can also check settings in configue trans OPL8 to have routing selection set to automatic selection if you want to avoid placing routing versions in each individual material master. Just another way to look at it
Hope it will resolve your problem.

  • MRP with selected production version

    Dear PP experts,
    I have two production version
Prod. Version      From lot        To lot size        Base Qty.
       1001                      1                   100                100 Kg.
       1002                      101             9999999          400 Kg.
The batch size mentioned in the material masters are Mimimum lot size 100 Kg. and Maximum lot size as 400 Kg.
I have entered PIR in MD61 for the material for 350 Kg. Since I need planned orders selectively of 100 Kg. in MD61 I have maintained in schedule lines tab production version as 1001.
After running MD41 system creates planned orders with the production version, but the batch size is not as per the production version.
Pl. let me know what needs to be done.
    Regards,
    Prashant

    Hi Watson,
I can see some conflicts in your Master Data settings.
First of all you have set your Lot size ranges in Material Master Data from 100 to 400 Kg.
And your Production Versions (1001) set lot size range is 1 to 100 Kg.Which may creates conflicts.
Now your require qty is 350 kg.So as per your lot size restriction set in Material Master will force system to create one planning proposal of 350kg.I can guess you get one plan order of 350kg but due to selection made in (MD61) selected prod. version is 1001 instead of 1002.Which is again wrong
Now to make the things correct you can have below options,
    1) change Lot size restriction to 1 to 100 in Material Master. So you wil get 3 Plan orders of 100 Kg and 1 of 50 kg.
    or
    2) Instead of changing Lot size in Material Master, use quota arrangement (MEQ1).For this you have to first activate Quota arrangement in MRP 2 view of Material Master. Then go to MEQ1 and create quota for the specified period. Here you can restrict lot size at production version level.

  • Product cost during order entry

    Hi,
Is it possible to enter the product cost during production order order entry, if yes possible please guide me.
    sateesh

Production Order is more a logistics function. Whenever there is a requirement for a product to be produced an order is created to facilitate capturing the actual materials and labor issued to the order. Order creation could happen throughout the year.
The standards are generally set at the begining of the year, in some cases even monthly during the budgeting process. This sets up the standard cost which will serve as a standard for production orders wherein the variances are calculated against this standard and monitored.
Standard costs can be set only once for a period. Hence, standard costs are not set during production order entry.

  • How to update condition value using e1edp05 segment during order creation

    Hi,
I have a requirement where I need to update the item level condition value (komv-kbeter)  to the condition type (komv-kschl) from the incoming idocs (orders05).
But  the same is configured  in such a way to populate automatically with the default condition value zero during the order creation level using VA01 at condition tab.
I am able to populate condition values from incoming idoc using segment E1EDP05 which is good, but it was getting created as new entry with the same condition type  instead of updating the condition value to the existing condition type(which got populated from automatically from configuration) .
So I want to restrict to one entry instead of two with same condition type. Is there any userexit/gap to restrict automatic population of condition type thru programming or to update with idoc (orders05) value rather than inserting as new row?
My client doesn’t want to restrict the pricing automation from configuration. So I have to handle through programming level.
    Your  inputs are appreciated

It doesn't really matter if it's a credit/debit memo, it's the same transaction anyway and pretty much the same functionality. What is your requirement exactly? Do you always have to override the price from Siebel or, let's say, some price is automatically proposed and you might or might not need to override it?
We use a custom (Z..) condition for price override. When a material is entered in VA01, some price (condition PR00, for example) is assigned automatically. Then, let's say, a special price has been negotiated with this customer just for this purchase. So the user goes into Conditions, types in condition code Z... and types in the new price. This basically annuls the previous PR00 condition. I'm not a functional consultant and can't give you all the config details, but your SD person should be able to help.
I'm still positive that conditions cannot be removed or changed by IDoc. One thing I would suggest for your situation: do not create ZCD2 condition initially and then just add ZCD2 condition when you receive the data from Siebel. Otherwise it seems that you would have to write a user exit or a requirement to deal with the duplicate conditions.

  • Mandatory production version planned orders

Is it possible to block the launch of a planned order that does not contain a production version?

    Hi
If you want block the field in order to prevent the user from inputting any values, you can also use the standard variant which can be created via transaction SHD0, this provides very filexible functionality what you want.
    Steps.
    1. Go to SHD0
    2. Input the transaction code
    3. Click the tab 'Standard variant'
    4. Input the name of variant. e.g. Z123....please start with Z.
    5. Click 'Create ' button F5.
    5. Then the system will bring you to the transaction, please set the version as blank.
    6. In the coming popup, please tick the check box 'W.content' in the
line for 'Production version'. if you hope protect this field you can also tick the 'Output only'.
    7. Exit the transaction and save the variant.
    8. Activate the stanard variant in SHD0, please note that this will be
       valid for all users.
You can also control other transactions this way in SHD0 by creating
       variants for them.
    Best Regards.

  • System is not exploding right component during order creation.

    Dear Sir
I have a material X.The BOM of this material was created with a component P on 02.11.10.Then i changed the BOM on 02.12.10 with a change number whose validity from date is 22.11.10.I change the component from P to Q.When i try to create production order for X the system explodes P instead of Q.What is the reason for that.I think system should explode Q.
    With Regards
    Debasish

    Debasish,
Please check whether your change number is released? Also check whether the order start date falls before 22.11.2010, you can also verify the BOM explosion date in the order header "Master Data" tab.

  • Factory calendor does not exist error during order creation

    Hi,
I am getting the factory calendor does not exist error while creating the order. For this i will explain the details for this issue and guide me where is the problem.
we are doing reconfiguration for the new plant in the client. In this client we are now creating new plant and doing the reconfiguration. While creating the order in new plant i am getting the below error message. i have assigned the existing factory calendor of the old plant to new plant in the existing client. i am thinking that factory calendor is not plant based. In work center i have assigned the factory calendor of old plant for the new plant work center. Please guide me.
    Regards,
    Mastan.

    Hi Dogboy,
    Thank You for immediate reply.
Have you performed all PP configuration for 1007?
It means i have created order type and order type parameters, availability check, scheduling, conformation steps for the ordre type.
Master data, routing, bom creted in cewb with change number and assigned to routing in cewb.
And factory calendor assigned in work center as old plant calendor only.
Other tahn this nay steps need to consider for creation of order. anything i have missed. Please guide me.
Have you assigned a factory calendar to plant 1007?
Factory calendor is not plant specific. i think with in a client  i can assign same calendor to new plant also. anywhere i have not observed the calendor as plant wise. please guide me.
Have you created a BOM for this material in 1007?
Have you created a work center in 1007?   Does the work center have a factory calendar that actually exists?
The above two steps i have done.
Have you created a routing for this material in 1007, with operations in that only include work centers assigned to 1007, and assigned the routing to this material in 1007?
    Yes.
    Please guide me.
    Regards,
    Mastan.

  • Tolling / Sub-Contracting Material Quantity Change During Order Creation

I have created a requisition for 80,000 KG of a tolling material. When converting the requisition into a purchase order, one of the components of the material goes from 45,881.875 KG to 45,881.874 KG, resulting in an overall amount of 79,999.999 KG and a mismatch between my requisition and purchase order.
I have checked the rounding profiles in the MRP 1 view for all the materials, and each is set to 1.000 KG. Why is this material component rounding down?
    Thanks.

so the reduced order quantity is not caused by an component that goes down. it is actually the other way around.
SAP converts the Kg from the requisition into LB in the PO.
    And rounds the decimals.
Using this as basis then for the components.
The leading unit is now the order unit, which is LB. whenever you look at a oder  quantity in KG, then SAP converts the LB quantity back into KG, which causes again a rounding issue.
That is one of the problems when the base unit is not the smallest unit.
