Manually delete Transport system - Sandbox system

Hi All
I am have a problem with our transport system on or sandbox system and basically what I want to do it get rid of it and set it up locally.
As our system is a copy of our PRD it still has all the old config, what I would like to do is remove it in the database. Does any one know how to do this?
It is a bit of a 'fudge' but seems the easiest way to do it.
Many Thanks in advance
Phil

hello,
Just delete (if necessary) the STMS configuration and describe your transport planning so that we can help you.

  • ChaRM Action 'Transport into Sandbox System'

    Hi,
How the action 'Transport into Sandbox System' works.
Wanted to know how this action works & in TMS do we need to map sandbox client.
    From sand

    Hi PK,
answer is Yes for the STMS and also you need to have a system defined as single type within maintenance cycle you re working in. Solman will be using your tasklist structure to understand which system is supposed to receive the import
Since a couple of stacks it became possible to actually define the role type of system that is supposed to receive the import of TR. I mean by role type the kind of system like you define in STMS when declaring a logical component

  • PI 7.1 CTS+ - Manually deleted object in PRD system

    Hello,
We have PI 7.1 with CTS+ configured. However, there was a condition that an object was deleted manually in PRD system not via CTS+. After this all the transports that were connected to that object and transported to PRD system were imported successfully but ! the changes weren't set in PRD. That means, the CHR transported to PRD but the changes are not applied.
Any idea how t solve this problem ?
    Please advice,
    Dimitry

    Hi Dimitry,
please check if the XI object you're trying to import have a lower version in PRD than in DEV/QAS.
In the opposite way if the XI object has a more recent version in PRD you'll not be able to update the object, since for the sistem the version you're trying to import is an old one.
    Hope this help

  • Is there a way to create a transport to mass-delete objects from another system?

I am facing a unique issue where I have to generate a transport that will successfully import into an external SAP system and delete over 1,000 objects (reports, data elements, UI elements, transactions, function groups, the whole lot...). All of these objects can be easily looked up because they are in the same namespace.
Essentially, I need to remove all objects with a given namespace via transport.
Is there any way to do this other than manually deleting all of the objects in the source system and adding them tediously to a single workbench request? This would take hours if not days to do manually, especially due to dependency issues.
Thanks for any and all constructive feedback!

    Hi,
I did a quick test: created a new package (development class) with one table, one function group using the table in global data definitions containing one function module referring to the table in interface, and one program that's calling the function module and using table in data definitions. Released the transport to Q.
Then, in the second our dev system, I created the same package and TADIRs for the three objects manually (SM30); released transport to Q of that system. Then I manually created transport containing all the three objects, the export log looked like this:
TADIRs in second dev system were gone after export.
Then I added transport to the first development system and imported
    - the objects were gone (including their TADIRs) leaving the empty package.
In retrospect, I should have deleted the empty package in second system so it's cleaned up by the same transport.
If you do have access to "clean" system, doing via ABAP the steps I did manually should not be too much of a challenge.
I may have simply gotten lucky and if this works with all objects, for all kinds of dependencies, remains to be seen... though I was until now under impression that import itself doesn't check any dependencies at all... What kind of messages were you getting?
    cheers

  • Which problems transporting a kernel of functionalities from sandbox system

    Hi All,
we are developing a kernel of functionalities on a ECC 6.0 sandbox system. Now we want to transport this kernel from sandobox system (AD0) to our development system (EPD). So all the new developments will be made from EPD. We have read the oss note 130906 about the copy of the complete version history of all AD0 repository objects. Which could be other kind of problems?
    Regards,
    Bob

    Anthony,
Yes. Your interpretation is correct. Objects which are trying to import are already in change mode of some other XI change request.
Just check if you / any other person has imported any other object before using differnt User ID and not activated yet.
    Solution:
What you need to do is goto ID and select "Change List". Under change list select User ="ALL" and click on display..it will show you all change request( which are not activated) for all users.
Right click on "Standard change list" under "change request name" and click on transfer...it will tranfer rrequest on your name..and you can activate them.
Once you activate this you shall be able to import your objects again.
Always remember to import one IB objecs file and activate it before importing new one...also import using same user id so that you will not get this kind of conflict.
Note : When you import IR object ...they get imported in Active status where as you have to manually activate IB objects after importing.
Hope this will solve your problem..
Let us know if you need more details.

  • Need to delete Transport system , which is not domain controller

I need to delete transport system on machine which is not domain controller .
our domain controller system is not avalible now .
how can i delete the transport system on my machine as domain controller system is not avaliable .
Please let me know what can i do ??
    Thanks,
    Asc

    Hi,
Logon to any system which is in your transport path in client 000. Then in stms, go to Overview ---> Systems. Here you can find all the systems in your transport path. You can also find the domain controller which you have configured as before.
Now, goto Extras----> Delete TMS Configuration.
After deleting, logon to system which you want to make as domain controller in client 000. when you execute stms, now it will ask for new stms setup, which you might be aware of.
If you need more guidance, let me know.

  • Question: How to add a Sandbox system as a second Quality System?

    Dear experts,
I am kindly asking for your help and asking you to write me exact procedure on how to do this.
We have a 3 system landscape - DEV, QAS and PRD. There are 2 routes from DEV and QAS:
ZDEV and the SAP standard route and a delivery route from QAS to PRD.
We also have built a Sandbox system, which we temporarily need to include in TMS, in order
to perform a few transports from our DEV system to the Sandbox. When doing a transport
(not sure exactly at which step), the system has to offer a choice, whether the transport to be
imported in the QAS or in the sandbox.
For sure I know that we will need to make /usr/sap/trans shared to the sandbox as well.
Then I am kindly asking you to explain exactly how to setup this configuration.
I am relying very much on your help, as I made quite bad experience with OSS messages, which
are hanging for weeks without any answer... And I believe that this forum is faster and more precisely
answered, than OSS messages. And we have 4 non-working days ahead, and right on tuesday in the
morning I need to implement this configuration!
    Many many thanks in advance!!

    Hi Symon,
You're right, the first step is to ensure that the SAPService<SID> user for your sandbox (let's call it SAPServiceSBX) must have the same level of access to /usr/sap/trans on your transport domain controller (usually, but not always, your DEV system) as the other systems in the transport domain.  If you are in a Windows Active Directory environment, this is most easily accomplished by adding the SAP_SBX_GlobalAdmin Active Directory group to the SAP_LocalAdmin local group on the DEV system.  Your SAPServiceSBX user should have already been a member of SAP_SBX_GlobalAdmin as part of the normal installation process when you created the SBX system.  If you are on another OS, I can't really help you there, but it must achieve the same effect of granting that file system access.
Next, you need to tell SBX how to find the domain controller.  Log on to SBX as an administrative user and start transaction RZ10.  Open your DEFAULT profile and, if it's not already there or has something different, put in an entry with Parameter Name = SAPTRANSHOST and Parameter Value = the host name of your domain controller, i.e. your DEV system, where the /usr/sap/trans directory resides.  Save and activate the profile.  If you made a change here, you will probably need to restart the SBX system for it to take effect.  In the old days, you would have to add a SAPTRANSHOST entry to your hosts file on the operating system level and/or add it as an environment variable for your sidadm OS user, but I don't think that's necessary anymore, if you put it in the profile.
After the restart, logon to SBX again, this time to client 000, as an administrative user and start transaction STMS.  Most likely, if SBX isn't a member of a transport domain already, you will get a popup asking you to add it to one (or to create one).  If so, put in the name of the transport domain (probably DOMAIN_DEV, but you can find it out by going into STMS on the DEV system), and any other details about the DEV system that it asks for.  If you don't get a popup, then select Extras... Delete TMS Configuration to reset it so that you are starting over fresh (you may have created a standalone transport domain just for SBX when you installed it, and if so you need to delete that so it can join your DEV domain).  You should get a message then that the system is waiting to be approved for inclusion in the domain.
Now go logon to your DEV system and start STMS, then call up the System Overview.  If necessary, refresh the list.  You should see your SBX system there with a status indicating it's waiting for inclusion.  Click on the symbol, or select SBX and click in the menu SAP System... Approve, and now it should be in.  Once that's done, highlight all the systems in the list, then click SAP System... Update Configuration to distribute the information about the new system to all systems in the domain.  Now select SAP System... Check... and go through the three tests respectively to ensure everything is working.
Back out of the system overview and go into Transport Routes.  Refresh if necessary.  You should see your ZDEV and SAP transport routes you mentioned earlier, and SBX should now show up as a Single System.  It's fine to leave it this way, and if this is temporary, I recommend leaving it this way.  Check the configuration for consistency, then select Configuration... Distribute and Activate (you can also do this from SBX with Adjust with Controller).
That should be all you have to do to set it up.  You can do some further tests to ensure the Transport Groups configuration is good (from the System Overview screen).
Because you have configured SBX as a Single System, transports released from DEV won't automatically show up in the SBX import queue.  However, you can forward transports there easily.  From the SBX system, in STMS, in the Import Overview, select the import queue (or import history) of your QAS system and highlight the transports you want in SBX.  Choose Request... Forward... System and select your SBX system.  They should now show up in the SBX import queue ready for import as normal.
    I hope this helps.
    Best regards,
    Matt

  • Transports in PI System

    Hello All,
Can you please suggest me the options for Client and Transports in PI system.
Basically we are planning just one client in PI system in all landscapes (Dev-TEST-QAS-PROD).
Does PI need some kind of communication or Data from ERP ,CRM ,BI system??
What about the Java Objects or XI object which are required to be transported??
Found something like manual transports and CMS.
We have no plans for NWDI??
Pls suggest how we should approach this!!
    Regards
    Ajay

    Hi
The design Objects are transported one system to other system using file transport method
Choose export the Design Objects from the tools menu.
Choose the source (The Software Component Version)
Mode can be "Transport using File System"
    Check "Download File to Client"
Then Select the objects for example "All objects of a Software Component Version"
Then is would start exporting to the location you specifiy.
After the export is over, you can import this into the target TEST, QA, PRD by using tools-> import Design objects.
    Note:
Connection to ECC is not necessary duting transport. However after transaport, for testing the connection should be established.
In SLD, technical systems and business systems should be created.
In ID, objects should point to exact system for which testing is needed. All the ID objects should be manually created like Sender Agreement, Receiver Agreement, Receiver Determiantion, Interface Determination.
    The other option is CTS+

  • SRMO - Cannot delete Index Category after System Copy

    Hi,
I am trying to delete incorrect Index Categories using t-code SRMO after a system copy (restore db from backup) from our production system to our sandbox system.
When I select the Index Category  and click on the "Delete Category" button I get this message:
Error during deletion of language 'EN'. Search
    engine result '3147'
When I click on the Help button I get this:
Error during deletion of language 'EN'. Search engine result '3147'
    Message no. SRET148
    Diagnosis
When the index category is deleted, all languages, and consequently all physical indices on the search server (RFC server) are deleted.
If a physical index could not be deleted, the index category is not deleted or set to inactive either. This is to prevent the index from staying on the search server without R/3 inforamtion.
    Procedure
Firstly clean up all languages / indexes for which this information appears.
Use the function to delete an index without R/3 information (if such an index exists) and / or  the function to delete the language without an index from the R/3 System.
You can then call the function 'Delete index category' again.
Any ideas on what function they are talking about in the second to last paragraph: "function to delete an index without r/3 information"?
    Thank you,
    Neil

I have exactly the same problem, only that the index category still can't be deleted even after I deleted the languages first. I still get the error message '3147'. It says that there was an error deleting the languages. As procedure it is suggested (as before) to first delete the languages and then again the index category. But the languages are no longer displayed in the index category.
Does anybody know how I should proceed in order to delete the old invalid index and to create a new one for indexing with the new TREX?

  • Import of transport from a system that has same name as target system

    Hi,
We have an ECC6.0 SPS10 system with SID as "RD2" and the transport
number range on this system is from RD2K900000 to RD2K999999.
If we import a transport into our ECC system(SID is RD2)from an
external system(vendor system) which has the same SID (RD2) and this
external system transport number is RD2K9A0505, does the transprot
number range change in our system?
After the import of the transport(RD2K9A0505) into our system, if we
create new transport request, what would be the transport number
    assigned to it?
will it change to RD2K9AXXXX or will it be the same number range it has
    before as RD2K9XXXXX.?
    Appreciate your answers.
    Thanks,
    Vinod.

    Hi,
This was very unusual to see, anyways let me put my answers
    1. the systems has to be configured in landscape to import the transport requests, and in landscape no two systems can have same SID.
    2. The transport system has a specific order tht need to be followed, DEV>QAS>PRD, so you did not mentioned the scenario here(please put doenthe scenario if you are importing from DEV of vendor to your DEV), and the SP level and kernel and everything need to be maintained on same level between source and Target else there is possibility for import error or chnages donot meet the criteria in target.
    3. Usually when you do imports between the DEV and QAS or PRD the Change request numbers in DEV are usually high but by importing this into QAS the number range for CR will not change,( here the SID are different). In your case i was uncertain since SID are same and number range format is different.
    4. Kindly note that SAP recommends no two SID in landscape can be same, so your source system should be from different landscape where transports can be done only through manually from OS level using tp command, and im in doubt wether tp can recognize the change request that was different in format as a change request number.

  • Is the complete query overwritten once it is transported to another system?

    Hi,
I had developed a query with some variables on the infoset. This has been transported to the production system.
But due to some requirement change the infoset was impacted due to the changes made in the ODS. (on which the infoset was created).
So the infoobjects technical names of ODS in the Infoset had changed. (F1 to F11....). Due to this the variables which were built on this infoobjects after the change are showing up under different infoobjects after technical name change.
Now to solve the issue, if i delete the variables and create under their respective infoobjects and transport to production system, will this work? Will the varaibles which were already transported to production system deleted automatically after the query is again transported to the production system?
    Please help
    Thanks,
    Rani

    Hi Rani,
Make sure u include the deletion change in the transport.
when u delete the variable it will ask for trnasport.
and also to ensure all ur changes are in the transport go to transport connection in RSA1. In that ->object types->query element->find ur query and trasnfer it.
make the grouping as 'only necessary objects'.
it will give u the list make sure it is all present in ur transport.
u can see the transport number in the rightmost window.
If u see all are not included tick and use the 'transport' -truck icon on topic.click on that and assign the transport.
    hope it helps

  • Deleting files out of system preferences desktop background.

Does anyone know how to delete files out of system preferences>desktop & screen saver?
Some how when adding one photo to the file for the desktop background it took the entire photo file. So that instead of one photo for the file it has over 200 now. Read everything and tried everything. Still can't figure out how to delete that file from the list.
I know how to add photos or whatever to use as desktop background just no idea how to remove them from the list.
    Any ideas?

    Doug,
When you go to system preferences>desktop & screen savers>desktop. On the left is a window with the names of the images listed. Apple Images, Nature file, Plants file, Picture Folder, Choose Folder and so forth. The ones that come with Apple products. Not sure what all else is native to Apple.
Iv been using my own desktop background since the day I got the iBook. Normally I just get one photo or image and more it there to use. But, last week I did something different or wrong. Maybe holding a button to long, not sure. Instead of moving the one photo it moved the entire photo file. That file had over 200 (2,500x1,800 in size & over 550KB for each) and probably closer to 250 photos in it.
Way to many to be there. And I simply can't find a way to remove that file from the desktop list. I can high light it, but it doesn't delete with the delete button. I can high light it, but it doesn't change anything in system preferences banner to edit, view, etc....to remove it either. It won't click & drag to trash.
Being very careful because I don't want to delete the file and by error delete it totally off the computer. I could creat a new file with only 1 photo in it for use as the desktop background. Then try to choose that file. However, since the last big OS-X update it's been doing this. Everytime I choose a file or photo it's adding the entire file not just the 1 photo. And Iv managed to add 3 files so far to that list.
    Any ideas? Thx, Mike

  • Data request deletion problem from remote system.

    Hi experts.
Now i am facing one critical problem . The description is as following:
we design the edw level in one phsical BW machine(A) which contains only dso infoprovider. This machine(A) works as datasource to provide data to another physical BW machine(B).
The dso in A system is exported as datasource , Cubes in B system load data through this datasource .
We first do the initialization with data contained on B system and then load delta data from A system. But if we want to delete some request in system A ,the system indicate this request can not be deleted unless the initialization in system B is deleted( this will lead to all the data missing in system B).
Can anyone explain this mechanism to me , please help me suggesting some kind of methods to delete the request in system A without deleting the initialization information in system B.
    Thanks in advance.
Waiting online for your kindly reply.

    1. Ask your Basis to look into it.
    2. try analyse your Baqckground Process in SM51.
    3. Is your Deletion Job started immediately or any Delay?
    4. If That cube or ODS has only this request which you are deleting, go with Context Menu Cube or ODS (by right click) --> Delete Contents.
Delete Contents will improve performence compare to Request Deletion..
If you have request more than this, you should not go for this.
