Map warning - btm1028 - No incoming links

Hi
I have a simple flat file to flat file map which is not giving me any output. I have the following warnings when i build my solution -
'warning btm1028: The required field "Name" has no incoming link, constant value, or default value.'
'warning btm1028: The required field "Zip" has no incoming link, constant value, or default value.'
'warning btm1000: The map contains no links or destination constant values.'
I'm not sure why this occurs though, as i have clearly linked the source schema nodes to the target and can test the map in visual studio with correct output.
Any idea?
Regards
John

John,
As the error clearly say the required fields Name,Zip doesn't have any value mapped.
May be you're using any conditional fuctiond (like value mapping, logical etc) from source field to these mandatory destination fields. So this conditional fuctionds may not result an output for a condition. Try to give some default value in the properties
of these fields and also use the conditional fucntiods in the map. If the conditional functiods outputs any value then the default values would be overwritten otherwise you will have default value for that field's properties.
If this answers your question please mark it accordingly. If this post is helpful, please vote as helpful by clicking the upward arrow mark next to my reply.

  • Update 2 tables in 1 mapping fails when using DB link

    Hi,
We use OWB10 R2. We have a mapping which should update 2 target tables. 1 table is part of the target schema of the mapping, the other table is located on a different database and is updated through a database link.
What we encounter is that only 1 of the 2 targets is updated.
When removing 1 of the targets in the mapping (does not matter which one) then the target left in the mapping is updated normally.
Is there a problem or restriction on using target tables in a mapping? Should they always be located in the same database? Or is there somethingelse we are overlooking?
    Any help is very appreciated.
    Regards,
    Ilona

    Hi Ilone
When we had a conf call with Oracle regarding one of the issues - they told us that with Oracle 10g R2 it is recommened configuration to have target in the same machine/database as the runtime repository. Apparetnly they haven't tested the situation when the target is on different machine. I was told that it makes more sense to keep runtime and target together as it will reduce network traffic and increase performance coz no data will have to be moved across the network (and aviod using pesky dblinks!). Apparently this recommendation is stated somewhere in thier installation guide. Because it is not supported and tested configuration - they don't know the impact it might have and how it is going to behaive. Some sql might be generated wrongly or the situation you are in...
So we had to change our configuration and now have runtime repository sitting on the target machine and i have maps that load more then one table - no problems at all!
Could you possibly try creating simple map and doing load to two tables on the same db? if this works - then y ou will know the answer.
Hope it helps and would be interesting to know how you get on.

  • How do I avoid the recipient of my Indesign PDF receiving a security warning when clicking on links?

I create PDF's out of Indesign to send to new clients. They contain links to external websites. They do not contain any javascript or videos or hidden links. If the PDF is opened in Adobe Reader, when the recipient clicks on a hyperlink in my PDF they get a security warning asking if they trust the site. How can I avoid the recipient receiving this Security Warning as it would scare people into thinking I had sent them something malicious when I haven't?

You cannot avoid it, that's part of the PDF security system to make the user aware that he is entering non-trusted area, as it is with every web page when it is opened the first time in Reader or Acrobat on this computer. ThatÄs an unchageable fact. You have to live with it.

  • Nokia Maps/ N95: Support for network links?

    Hello,
I have a GPS tracker device I would like to monitor in Nokia N95's maps. On PC I am using Google Maps with a network link, to see it's position in real time.
Does Nokia Maps support network links like in Google Earth?
Feel free to try - here's a sample URL from TrackingTheWorld:

It should look something like this:

The beta has been out for your phone for a while now and licenses from previous versions do work with the beta.
You need to ask about availability of the final product on the maps 3 beta forum.  You will most likely will not get an official answer here.

  • Mapping Warning as cause of changing database location

    hello group,
i am new in working with owb 10.2, so please forgive me trivial questions.
    now to the problem:
i set up a location for my database, created some mappings and deployed them successfully.
yesterday i got new connection details for accessing the database, then i registered/unregistered the location in the control center manager (was that right?).
then i created some new mappings which use tables of the database.
when trying to deploy the new mappings (action:create) i get this error-message.
    None

ORA-02019: connection description for remote database not found
    what does this mean?
was the way to change the location settings for the database wrong? or can this be achieved?
can you give me some hints?
    thanks in advance,
    sven

When you deploy a Connector you are creating a Database Link in the schema you are deploying the connector.
With the replace option, you drop the database link and create it again, so all the objects referring the database link will be in "invalid" status, and you'll have to deploy them again (normally all the mappings, procedures and functions using the connector-databaselink).
If you change the location information, sometimes the name of the databaselink created when deploying the connector change, OWB creates the database link using not only the name of the connector, includes some information of the location properties, so the replace option partially fails, because the drop database link sentence fails, the create database link sentence works properly, though, and in the database you have two db-links: the old one and the new one, so if you aren't aware to deploy again the objects using the old db-link to refer to the new DB-Link, they will stay referring to the old one. For example:
    The old information of LOCATION_SOURCE:
    HOST: host1
    PORT: port1
    SID: sid1
When you deploy the connector MY_CONNECTOR in location LOCATION_TARGET referring the schema SCHEMA_TARGET, you create a DB-Link in SCHEMA_TARGET named SID1@MY_CONNECTOR
If you change the information of LOCATION_SOURCE:
    HOST: host2
    PORT: port2
    SID: sid2
And then deploy MY_CONNECTOR again, you create a new DB-Link in SCHEMA_TARGET, named SID2@MY_CONNECTOR, and with the REPLACE option you don't drop the SID1@MY_CONNECTOR DB-Link so all the objects referring to this old DB-Link will be valid, but referring to an incorrect DB-Link.
Hope I've been able to make myself understand, I've read what I have written and seems a bit confusing. Regards.

  • Disable warning dialogs for external links in PDF?

Greetings. I'm at the final stages of an interactive PDF and during the review cycle, the client is noticing warning boxes each time they open a link to an external web address. I'm fairly sure that if you are using a purchased Acrobat instead of the free reader, you have the option on the first external link to allow access for all links. But, if you are using the free reader, every time you activate a different external link, you must "allow" it to open (is this true?). Those messages are annoying the client (in spite of the wisdom of the security). Is there anything I can do on the creation side to disable those warnings?
The document is being created using InDesign CS6 in OSX-10.9.5.
    Thanks!
    Tim

The warnings can be disabled by configuring their security user preferences, which are the same in Acrobat and Reader. In Reader 11, look at:
Edit > Preferences > Trust Manager > Internet Access from PDF Files outside the web browser > Change Settings

  • Mapping - Warning while executing

    Hi All,
While executing mapping the following waring is getting:
ORA-04091: table %s.%s is mutating, trigger/function may not see it
    ORA-02063: preceding line from DBLINK.
The mapping contains one filter & expression:
We had created function to get max_date from target table A
We are using the above function to filter the records by using this formula UPDATE>(MAX_DATE-30) to filter the records for last 30 days and load into the Target Table A
In exprression level we are converting Char datatype to Varchar2 datatype.
    Regards,
Edited by: [email protected] on Jul 16, 2009 11:40 PM

If you have the get_max_date function being used in an expression within the mapping, then this date can change during the course of the load which is problematic from a logial perspective.
What you need to do is get the function out of the main generated DML statement.
To do that, create a constant operator and set the value to your get_max_date function, then use the constant in the logic of the ETL. In generated code the constant will be created as a package constant which is initialized once and only once when the mapping first gets called and this value is then locked for the duration of the mapping.
Oh! And check to ensure that this IS what is causing the problem. Is there a trigger on your target table which could be raising the error?

  • Security warning on task bar links

Just started after I moved my folder redirection from a server share to dfs.  Running Windows 7 SP1, server is 2008 R2.  If I change the
GPO to point to \\server\share I don't get the warning.  Annoying but not fatal.  Thanks.

    Hi,
What kind of warning is it?
When a DFS namespace created, a default folder will be created as c:\dfsroots\<namespace>. Check the permission of that folder. For example, add your test user to this folder for Full Control permission to see if warning still exists. This is a test
to show if it is the cause of the issue.

  • OWB 904 doesn't use DB Links in mapping scripts

I'm having trouble deploying mappings because they don't use the generated DB Links in the mapping scripts.
Normally when deploying a mapping I get this warning that certainly is correct since it can't find the source table:
VLD-2771: System privileges may not allow extraction from source ZIPCODE.
    Extract from the mapping script:
    CURSOR "ZIPCODE_c" IS
    SELECT
    "ZIPCODE_DWH"."ZIPCODE" "ZIPCODE",
    "ZIPCODE_DWH"."CITY" "CITY",
    ROWNUM "ROWNUM_ALIAS$$$"
    FROM "AXAPTA"."ZIPCODE" "ZIPCODE_DWH" ;
Only when explicitly typing the name of the DB link in the configure options of the mapping will it work. But when I do this I get the following warning:
VLD-1124: Schema and/or Database link physical configuration parameters should not be set for ZIPCODE.
The version of the code that works:
    CURSOR "ZIPCODE_c" IS
    SELECT
    /*+ NO_MERGE */
    "ZIPCODE_dwh.business8123"."ZIPCODE" "ZIPCODE",
    "ZIPCODE_dwh.business8123"."CITY" "CITY",
    ROWNUM "ROWNUM_ALIAS$$$"
    FROM "ZIPCODE"@"dwh.business.auc.dk@dwh" "ZIPCODE_dwh.business8123" ;
Shouldn't the mapping script use the DB Link normally or is there an option I have missed? I see in the Reviewers Guide that the target user is granted access to the source (through Public) but won't this only work if both source and target is in the same database?
    Regards

    Hi guys,
I am facing a strange problem. The code generated for my mapping has NOT used the dblinks. My OWB version is 10.1.0.4
This is my problem in brief.
I have installed OWB newly and started to do a sample task. I created a very simple one to one table population mapping from source to the target schema. Both are in the same database.
When i generated the code for the mapping, it gave a warning 'VLD-2771: System privileges may not allow extraction from source EMP'.
When i checked the code which was generated, i couldnot see any dblinks associated with my source table( which seems strange)
    CURSOR "INGRP_c" IS
    SELECT
    "EMP_SRC_TRG_CONN"."EMPNO" "EMPNO",
    "EMP_SRC_TRG_CONN"."ENAME" "ENAME",
    "EMP_SRC_TRG_CONN"."JOB" "JOB",
    "EMP_SRC_TRG_CONN"."MGR" "MGR",
    "EMP_SRC_TRG_CONN"."HIREDATE" "HIREDATE",
    "EMP_SRC_TRG_CONN"."SAL" "SAL",
    "EMP_SRC_TRG_CONN"."COMM" "COMM",
    "DEPT_SRC_TRG_CONN"."DEPTNO" "DEPTNO_1",
    "DEPT_SRC_TRG_CONN"."DNAME" "DNAME",
    "EMP_SRC_TRG_CONN"."DEPTNO" "DEPTNO",
    "DEPT_SRC_TRG_CONN"."LOC" "LOC"
    FROM "SCOTT"."EMP" "EMP_SRC_TRG_CONN" ;
In brief this is the process i have done.
    Source schema : SCOTT & Target schema : TRG_SCHEMA
    1) I have created source (for SCOTT) and target(for TRG_SCHEMA) modules.
    2) I have also created DBLinks, Locations and Connector from source to the target locations.
    3) I registered both the source location and target locations.
    4) Validated, Generated and Deployed the Connector from source to the target.
I was unable to trace the error. Did i miss anything in the configuration? or during the installation of OWB.
Though it is a very old post, i hope someone can help me out here.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Sri

  • Pages '09: Can't Embed Link to Map in PDF

I'm really stumped. Links to web pages that I embed in my Pages publishing docs operate as expected when I export the document to PDF. However, I'm having no success with links to Google, Mapquest or Yahoo maps. The links are live in Pages, but are dead once I export to PDF. The link text shows up blue and underlined in the PDF, but it's just static text. This is the case whether I open the PDF in Adobe Reader or Preview in MacOS, or in Adobe Acrobat Pro X in Windows XP. This is also happening on two different Macs. Again, the problem is only with links to map locations. Any ideas?

I just repeated the steps that I had shared with you and achieved the same desired result: a PDF with a working map link. Here are the steps I just applied in outline form:
In Pages '09 4.2, create the standalone text or text box content, that is to receive the hyperlink. If textbox, click outside the textbox to set the box in Pages. If you don't do this, applying a hyperlink to the enclosed text, and saving as a PDF will result in that text not appearing in your PDF.
In your web browser (I used Safari 6.0.2), visit the map site of your choice; key in the location in the search window, and then double-click at least twice on the map to generate data in the map URL.
Choose the link/embed button on the map page. Ensure the URL or tiny URL is selected. Copy it to the clipboard with either Edit > Copy, or Command+C. Perform no other clipboard activity until all steps are complete.
In Pages, double-click the word you want to apply the hyperlink too. If it is multiple words, double-click the first word, hold the shift key down, hover the i-beam mouse pointer over the end of the last word, and click once. Your hyperlink target is now selected. Do not click within the Pages document.
Again, in Pages, Insert > Hyperlink > Webpage.
    Enable hyperlink is selected.
Triple-click the default Apple link to select it.
Paste the map hyperlink from the clipboard using Edit > Paste, or Command+V.
Press return to set the hyperlink to your selected text.
Save your Pages document and Export the PDF.
I have walked through this list and was able to recreate one, or multiple map links in the same document, that survived into the PDF file. Both Preview and Adobe Reader XI received active map links that worked.
Hopefully, you will have better success with these steps and avert the Acrobat Pro route.

  • Image Maps Linked to Files in External Projects

    Hi,
I'm trying to insert an image map into project A that links
to a topic in project B. Both projects are merged into the same
parent project. I want the linked topic to appear in a popup
window. I can make this work if the topic to which I'm linking is
within the same project...just not when it's in another project.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!
    Amy

Hi Amy and welcome to the RH community.
That is the way that image maps work. If you are using an
image map, the linked topic must reside inside the same project.
You could link to an external file by clicking the down arrow to
the left of the "Link To" field and selecting file, but this does
not allow you to display in a popup. Also if you are using CHM
files, the selected file would have to be the CHM which would open
with the default topic. If you were using Webhelp you could select
    the individual HTM file.

  • Link to download the Nokia Map 2.0?

    Hi!
Previously in Nokia website, I can easily find the link to download the Nokia Map v2.0 (the sis file for various phone models). The link was www.nokia.com/maps.
Now Nokia has launched the Ovi Map 3.0. With the same link above, now it only leads me to download the Ovi Map 3.0. However, my phone is old model like N73 and E61, etc. It does not support Ovi Map 3.0. In this case, I would like to ask anyone know the link to downlaod the old Nokia Map 2.0 or Nokia Map 1.3 sis files?
    Thanks a lot

  • Warning RGB symbol in the links palette.

What about a small warning symbol in the links palette to say if RGB so you can see at a glance and edit original/convert to CMYK with one click?
It would improve workflow somewhat. Yes, I know, arguably we should be sorting our PSDs first but in the real working world...! Plus RGB to CMYK is possibly the most often performed task when working on a document with images
    Thanks for reading this.

    Hi Peter
Not sure where I'm supposed to see this info in the links palette? I have tried to use the drop down menu and looked in the prefs. Where do you change this settting? I'm using CS3 so maybe this is a new feature in CS4?
Also, I take your point about Preflight, but what I meant was a quick, one-click affair where maybe InDesign linked into a Photoshop action and changed all the colour modes. Or, potentially another simple script via the links palette. In a similar way to how "edit original" works by opening up the file or similarly, "object layer options" turning on or off.
This could also serve some use as a "multi-program action set" where other simple scripts could be accessed this way to deal with batch items. i.e. image size, minor colour correction etc etc...
Hopefully I'm making more sense. Only the other day (after rushing through placing a load of RGB jpeg files - bad practice I know) I had to then find which ones were still RGB from the list/preflight and deal with each one individually. If I had this little warning symbol you say is there already, things would be somewhat easier and if we had the one-click/action idea, things would be vastly easier. If I'm still missing something, then I apologise.
    Thanks again
