Mapping between source & target
Hi,
I have more than one table in Source Database; they have some relationship, same Database structure in Target Database. I need to map source with Target so for that create separate interface for each table either any other approach, can we follow.
Regards,
Atul
Hi Atul,
Thanks for your informations.
Sorry i am not still getting what you mean by "3 tables with inter relationship are mapped to target (3 tables) with the same structure"? Can you explain that with an example? Thanks.
Well, if you planned to make an exact copy of your source to target or else If you need to do join source tables and move those data to target ,just you need to use some IKMs.
Thanks,

Link between source & target loan
Hi Guys,
I am working on module CML. Here we create a contract (loan) and we then perform capital transfer on it. Thus from a source loan we create target loans.
Now I want to know the link between target & source loans. I mean if I enter source loan I should get its target loans or vice versa. (for bdc/reports)
Can you name a table for that or a function module to get the link between the two.
Will be glad if anyone can help.
Thanks,
JGI found the solution.. the table is VDCAPTR.

Losing source-target mapping from a data flow diagram process
Hi,
When I reload a model design from an xml repository, I am losing source-target mappings from a data flow diagram process. I wonder why.
The way it goes is:
- I define a data flow diagram with information stores, processes, and flows.
- Information structures are defined from the flows and the information trickles down to processes and information stores.
- In a process, I define Source-Target Mapping by selecting a target element and then selecting the source element(s).
- I save the whole model.
- So far, the Source-Target Mapping keeps the association between target and source elements.
- If I exit from Data Modeler, the next time I reload the saved model, the Source-Target Mapping target to source elements associations are lost!?
Does anyone have the same issue or would know how to resolve it?
Thanks,
/MarioI am still having problems getting my source to target mappings to save after I apply the fix described in this thread. Any thoughts?

Idoc to jdbc mapping duplicate source node to target structure
Dear all,
I am working on PI 7.1
My sceniro
IDOC to JDBC [sap to mssql ] where the target is a table structure shown below: I execute a stored procedure to insert the below message type into sql table.
<ns0:MT_SP_LFBK xmlns:ns0="http://test.com">
- <Statement_Name>
- <storedProcedureName action="EXECUTE">
<table>spr_test</table>
<BANKS type="Char">BOA</BANKS>
<BANKL type="char">122207</BANKL>
<BANKN type="char">4555--0</BANKN>
<LIFNR type="char">1100000218</LIFNR>
<KOINH type="char">varchar</KOINH>
<BKONT type="char">01</BKONT>
<BANKA type="varchar">S.A.</BANKA>
</storedProcedureName>
</Statement_Name>
</ns0:MT_SP_LFBK>
The mapping is between source CREMAS02 and the above target structure. Everything works fine.
The problem is when the vendor has more than one bank account number the IDOC CREMAS02 replicates the below segment E1LFBKM for each BANK account information. Since target and source are mapped one to one how can i map the second bank account information to the same target structure or genereate a new target Message type for the second bank account information and send it to sql ?
<E1LFBKM SEGMENT="1">
<MSGFN>005</MSGFN>
<LIFNR>110000021</LIFNR>
<BANKS>BOA</BANKS>
<BANKL>122207</BANKL>
<BANKN>4555-0</BANKN>
<BKONT>02</BKONT>
<BANKA>S.A.</BANKA>
<BNKLZ>3000000</BNKLZ>
</E1LFBKM>
Thank you ,
TeresaHi Teresa,
which segment have you mapped with <storedProcedureName action="EXECUTE"> ?
Because according to me , if you send <E1LFBKM> to <storedProcedureName action="EXECUTE">
, you will be able to use your stored procedure several times, in fact each times that you have a <E1LFBKM>.
Reminds: inside <Statement_Name> you can do several SQL actions like execute one or several stored procedures (could be different).
Of course, after that your table should accept to have several bank account for a same customer.
So to have something like that:
<Statement_Name>
<storedProcedureName action="EXECUTE">
</storedProcedureName>
<storedProcedureName action="EXECUTE">
</storedProcedureName>
<storedProcedureName action="EXECUTE">
</storedProcedureName>
</Statement_Name>

Source System Mapping between BW Dev and Prod system
Hi,
I have a DB Connect Source System in BW Dev system called DBSRCDEV which points to one of our Oracle Dev DB.
In Production, the DB Connect Source System is called DBSRCPROD and it points to the corresponding Oracle Prod DB.
In Development, I created a data source on this Source System (DBSRCDEV) and I tried to transport it to Production. But it failed with error saying that DBSRCDEV does not exist.
Where and how can I maintain or configure the mapping between DBSRCDEV and DBSRCPROD Source System so that I can transport my data source to Production?
Please help.
Thanks,
CHHi,
usually you need to maintain the setting for the change of the logical system name (source system) in each target system of a transport. So in your prod system goto rsa1->tools->change logical system names...
After maintaining that table, try to import your request again.

What are differences between the target tablespace and the source tablespac
The IMPDP command create so manay errors. But the EXAMPLE tablespace is transported to the target database successfully. It seems that the transported tablespace is no difference with the source tablespace.
Why create so many errors?
How to avoid these errors?
What are differences between the target tablespace and the source tablespace?
Is this datapump action really successfull?

Since it looks like you're trying to set up the sample schemas, is there a reason that you wouldn't just run the sample schema setup scripts on the destination database? Why are you using Data Pump in the first place?

How to map multiple source structures to single target structure
Hi all,
I have the scenario of 2 input files so i am using BPM for it. I have created the message types of the 3 input files. I have to finally generate an XML file which will contain the data of all the 2 files. That is i have to do 3:1 mapping.
Source Structure of File 1:
<b>DT_PWC_Customer</b>
<i>RECORDSET</i>
<u>CUSTOMER</u>
<i><b>REF_NO</b></i>
<i><b>CUSTOMER_NO</b></i>
Source Structure of File 2:
<b>DT_PWC_Customer</b>
<i>RECORDSET</i>
<u>METER</u>
<i><b>REF_NO
METER_NO</b></i>
Target Structure of Final Output File:
<b>DT_PWC_CustomerMeterData</b>
<i>RECORDSET</i>
<u>CUSTOMER_METER</u>
<i><b>REF_NO
CUSTOMER_NO
METER_NO</b></i>
Above nodes i have shown in a heirarchical order..nodes with same indentation are at same level.
Can anybody tell me how to do this mapping in IR in graphical editor.
RAJEEV GUPTAHi,
To elaborate my requirement, I want to tell that since i will be having 2 input files- one for Customer & one for Meter. I want to finally generate one XML file which will have data from both these 2 input files. That is, if Customer file has 3 records(3 REF_NO, 3 CUSTOMER_NO) and Meter file has 4 records(4 REF_NO, 4 METER_NO), the final output XML file will have 7 records(7 REF_NO, 3 CUSTOMER_NO,4 METER_NO).
Thanks,

Message mapping---1 source structure and n target structures
I would like to know how many message mappings we need if we are mapping one source structure to 3 different target structures of a single receiver. I am assuming its just one message mapping.
Depending on the above answer how many interface mappings do we need.Kalyan,
you need multi-mapping that maps one source structure to multiple target structures. Just search multi mapping in SDN and you will find many good posts.
Basically, in MM editor, go to signature tab and in the target messages add additional message types. Simple. --> Only one MM and one IM

Message mapping - Map 2 source contexts into one target context
Hi,
I have an issue as follows:
Source context 1 (defined as 1.....unbounded)
Source context 2 (defined as 1.....unbounded)
Target context 1 (defined as 1.....unbounded)
I need to map both source contexts into the single target contexts.
For example....
Source context 1 has 3 entries
Source context 2 has 2 entries
Target context would have 5 entries in total (Source context 1 and Source context 2)
I have only limited knowledge of working with multiple contexts so need a bit of advice.
Can someone provide an easy way to do this ? I'm sure there is.
Cheers
Colin.The answer is quite simple.
Right-click on the target node in the mapping editor and select the option "duplicate subtree".
You will then have two destination nodes.
Now you can map source1 to target1 and source2 to target2 -
How do I map the source file name to a target table?
I am mapping a source fixed length flat file to oracle target tables. One of the tables is a parent transaction table that stores the date, record number, status, etc. and the file name of the source flat file. The file name will change daily because the date is part of the naming convention. Is there an easy way to determine the source file name and map it?
One option a co-worker is working on is writing a pre-mapping stored procedure. It would insert the file name into a table prior to the mapping. But I was hoping for a cleaner solution.
Thanks!Hi
Use extarnel table to load the data from the file into the table.

Source system mapping between BW systems
Hi All
I have question regarding source system mapping between BW systems
We are in BW7 and we still have BW3.5 objects (Cubes,IO,ODS ets)
We have 1 source in BW Dev that need to split to 2 different sources in BW QA
e.d BW Dev map to ECC Dev 110 and when we transport ,it should map
to 2 sources ,one is ECCQA Clinet 200 and another map to ECCQA Client 210
in the conversion in BW QA we have mapped it to the 2 ECC QA sources but
the problem is that if we would only work with BW7 objects this will work but since we have
also BW3.5 objects the mapping in not complete for the 3.5 objects , we also checked the 7.0 button in the conversion and it still have missing objectsHi... i dont understand your isse you have one source of transport and in the destination if points to two systems and this works for you....and your problem is in 3.5 objects? its a version problem?

Issue-Mapping Multiple Source Occurence to Single Target Occurence
Hi Gurus,
I have a requirement where the source has occurence 0 to 4 where as the target has occurence 1 to 1 .
Let the source segment be S where the child elements for S are S1 and S2 .
S1 takes the values 1 , 2 & 3 .
S2 takes the values X , Y & Z .
I need to map S2 to target field T1 if and only if S1 has the value "2" .
How can we achieve this ? I tried using the node functions but couldn't achive as i want the 2nd value of S2 from the given set of values ( X , Y & Z ) .
Please help me out in this issue.
Thanks in advance .
Regards,
SaratHi,
You can use this mapping:
S1 --> removeContext --> equalsS --> ifWithoutElse --> removeContext (used to remove suppressed values) --> T1
constant: 2 -
> / ____________/
S2 > removeContext--
> /
Hope this helps,

Cloning use the different gcc version between source system and target sys
Hi All,
Our system is: Application tier and Database tier is split to two servers.
We should run a cloning, but I found the different gcc version on application tier on source system and target system.
The source application tier server is RedHat Linux ES3, gcc version is 3.2.3
The target application tier server is RedHat Linux ES3, gcc version is 2.9.6
There is the same gcc version on database tier on source system and target system, they are gcc 2.9.6.
My question: Can I use the different gcc version between source system and target system when I run an erp cloning?
Thanks & Regards
OwenNot necessarily, you might get some errors if the version is higher and it is not supported by the OS. An example is Note: 392311.1 - usr/lib/gcc/i386-redhat-linux/3.4.5/libgcc_s.so: undefined reference to 'dl_iterate_phdr@GLIBC_2.2.4'
To be on the safe side, make sure you have the same version (unless you want to give it a try). -
FDMEE/LCM : LCM is merging target server maps with source server maps
Hi,
We would like to copy thanks to LCM our FDMEE application from production to developpement server.
We have done several tests on developpement that we would like to remove.
We need to have production/development environnement AS-IS.
The problem is that LCM is merging taret server location / data load rule / import format / maps with the source one.
We have opened an SR on this subject.
Meanwhile we would like to create a SQL request to clean import format / data load rule / location / maps table within target server before the LCM import.
Is that ok if we delete all records on these following table or could we have an impact ?
- AIF_BALANCE_RULES (Data load rule table)
- TDATAMAP / TDATAMAP_STG /TDATAMAPSEG (maps tables)
- TPOVPARTITION (location table)
- TBHVIMPGROUP; TBHVIMPITEMFILE (import format table)
What do you think ?
Thanks.
