Mapping Manufacturer in to Vendor Master

Hi
Per our clients' new audit requirements, we need to be able to link current raw materials by plant to the manufacuturer and manufacturer's location.  In some cases, Client procures from a broker and there is no visibility of the manufacturer within SAP.
We need to assess current vendor master/Procurement structure to see if it is possible to get this link within SAP and still buy via a broker.
Thanks

Implement the MPN fucntinality.
Define manufacturer part profile
Manufacturer part profiles (MPN profiles) allow you to specify for each of your firms own materials the conditions under which the MPN material may be used in the procurement process.
Using the MPN profile, you can determine the following, for example:
Whether the MPN material has to be entered in the purchase order.
Whether purchasing info records are created for the firms own material or for the MPN materials.
Whether the PO text for the firmu2019s own material or the one for the MPN material is used.
Whether the MPN material may be changed during the procurement process.
Whether the system is to check the approved manufacturer parts list when an MPN material is entered.
You define the MPN profiles in Customizing for Purchasing under Material Master.
You enter the MPN profile in the master record for your firms own material (Purchasing view).
Create master records for manufacturers and manufacturer plants
If, during the process of procuring materials, you wish to have the option of choosing between several manufacturers of a material, or between several of a certain manufacturers plants, you must create separate master records for such manufacturers and for the relevant plants belonging to the latter.
The number of master records you will need to create for manufacturers, manufacturer plants, and vendors, depends on
Whether the vendor is also the manufacturer
Which of the plants belonging to a certain manufacturer you wish to procure materials from
Vendor is not the manufacturer
If the manufacturer is not a vendor (end supplier), you can store the manufacturer data in a manufacturer master record with a minimum of data entry effort. You then assign the account group MNFR to this manufacturer master record. If you wish to store an external ID for the manufacturer, enter it in the control data (External manufacturer field). This identification will appear in the purchase order.
Vendor is also the manufacturer
If the vendor is simultaneously the manufacturer, you can work with vendor master records. You must then ensure that a partner schema that takes the partner role HS into consideration is assigned to the account group of the vendor master record. (In Customizing for Purchasing under Partner Determination ® Partner Settings in Vendor Master Record ® Assign Partner Schemas to Account Groups). The manufacturer plants must then have the partner role HS in the vendor master record.
You wish to procure materials from certain specific manufacturer plants
If the manufacturer has several Manufacturer Plants, you can create a separate manufacturer master record with the account group MNFR for each of them. The manufacturer plants must have the partner role HS (manufacturer plant) in the manufacturer (vendor) master record.

  • Employee master and Vendor master address mapping

    Hi All,
I am working on a std. SAP program (RPRAPA00) that will create a vendor for an employee record ... this program when executed will create a vendor for a selected employee and will transfer the HR master data for that employee to the vendor master. Now when I am doing this I am having data mapping problem..there are few address fields in HR that are too long for the vendor master to hold for example:
    In HR
Street and House Number- 60 character
    City                                 - 40 Character
    District                            - 40 Character
    Vendor Master
House number and street - 35 Character
    Address                         - 10 Character
    City                                - 35 Character
    District                           - 35 Character
So can you please tell me how can I take care of this.
    Thanks,
    Raj

    Ho Rob,
Thanks for the reply... I have another concern !!! we want to push the email address from HR master to Vendor master but looks like program RPRAPA00 is not taking care of that. So can you please tell me how can I get that.
    Thanks,
    Raj

  • Vendor master upload mapping issue in LSMW

We need to upload Vendor Master Data and it contains 72 fields we identified 69 fields for mapping through standard program (RFBIKRK0) through Batch Input in LSMW.
We are having issues to identify three fields which belongs to Address and these are not getting mapped in the program.the fields are street street1 street2 street3 street4 street5 and address notes.the mentioned fields are maintained in ADRC table but the structure is not getting populated in the standard program RFBIKRK0 in LSMW mapping section.
In  the input file from legacy we have the following fields street street1 street2 street3 street4 street5 and this should get mapped in the LSMW .how to go about this problem.whether we need to do seperate conversion program  for the address fields .could you please any one help me .

    Hi!
You don't have access to all fields of the address with batch input - you need to do something in addition:
    - migrate addresses beforehand (central address handling)
    - select the (hopefully few) vendors with street3 filled and migrate this later
       - manually
       - own batch input (recording in LSMW / eCATT)

  • Missing "Mapping entry" issue in tranferring Cust/Vendor Master Data

    Hi All,
We are doing a version upgrade in one of our client for SCM APO (SCM 7.0 SPS 8). We are getting an error while transferring customer/ vendor master data (either in foreground or background) that "No location XXXXXXXX exists for mapping entry XXXXXXX of category 1011 (1010 in case of customer).
Please provide your valuable help to resolve this issue.
    Thanks.

    Dear Ravi.
Please use the report ZMATMAP_REORG provided in note 859650 to remove the inconsistencies between /SAPAPO/LOCMAP and /SAPAPO/LOC.
The number of entries in these both tables should be the same.
I am not aware of your SCM Release, but it is also relevant for release 4.1, despite the info in the note. Please copy the report in your system and execute it firstly in the test mode.
    I hope this helps you!
Let me know the outcome of the issue.
    Thank you!

  • Vendor master mapping

    Hello Experts,
I am mapping vendor master data from legacy data. Legacy data has differrent ordering address accounts  for one vendor number. The problem here is to map that one vendor number to which primary address. in the legacy system we could not find any such option which will differentiate any specific address as a primary one. How do i determine a Primary address for account group 0001 vendor?
Any Ideas would be appreciated and rewarded.
    Thanks!

    Hello all,
sorry for the delay on answering this issue.
We resolved this issue, by mentioning main vendor Number in the search term of the vendor master with description of the site (ordering address) and in the old vendor number field, we gave the ordering address vendor's account number and the same we did with other account groups also.
So after loading the vendor master data, when the user wants to search for the vendor he wants, he would key in the old vendor number (main vendor number) in the search term and he will get an output result of more than 2 entries, in which based on the description he will choose the required one.

  • What are the important views or field in vendors master record

    All,
We are converting two different companies into our SAP.  We are at blue printing stage.  I was assigned to gather vendor master data requirements in SAP.  I sent them all the fields that we are currently using in SAP.  I sent them a template of General, Company code data and purchasing views.  The legacy team is coming to meet with our it team one to one to discuss the importance of the fields.  Now my team manager asked us to submit a presentation about all the questions we should be asking the legacy team as well as the important information we should be discussing from SAP point of view.  Can someone guide me here please.  It's important.
    Thanks,

Hi The task is pretty simple. You would need to create a mapping from the legacy data to SAP data. You would go through every field of the legacy data and identify which field it will map to. there is nothing like important field. Ideally you would get all the fields. Identify the recon account that the vendors should go to.
    Hope this helps
    Points will be appreciated.

  • Error in ALE Service While Creation of Vendor Master

    hi,
I am using a scenario where a third party system is sending vendor master data to a R/3 system The file is picked up by the file adapter(sender) and mapped to IDOC format, using Idoc adapter (receiver). A Vendor is then created by posting the CREMAS03 IDOC into the R/3 system.
Everything goes fine till the Idoc comes into the R/3 system. There in BD87(Idoc Status Monitor), getting the "Error in ALE Service" error. When expanded further the specific error is that of "Cross-system company code xxxx does not exist". What is generally the cause of this error and how would I resolve it?
For those of you who have attended TBIT 40, this scenario is Example 1 - Creation of Vendor Master Data.
    Any help would be appreciated?
    regards,
    SK

    one more thing
if you want to be sure that you're using the right data
try to set your system to send the vendor data out
first - send it from BD14
and then you'll know which fields do you need
if you do that take a look at segment E1LFB1M
    and check for BURKS

  • Vendor Master Extraction from Legacy

    Hi guys,
We have 2 different legacy systems here (4.5b and 4.6c) and I am trying to extract the vendor master from both of them and integrate them into the new mysap2004.
What is the best way to extract the vendor master along with the address , punchasing doc, bank details, partner functions, etc ? Any sample program for vendor master extraction is most welcome. Here is my extract layout.

    Hi Shareen,
Have you looked Master Data Distribution (ALE) for Vendor since your legacy system are SAP?
Please check t/code BD14 (Send Vendor Master Data) and BD15 (Get Vendor Master Data).
Hope this will give you an idea.

  • Vendor master - reconciliation account

    Hi,
I would like to know in which configuration settings, the reconciliation accounts are mapped to the account groups for the vendor master. Im facing an error when I tried to flag a vendor for deletion using XK06, "incorrect combination of account group, authorisation group or reconciliation account".
    Thanks and regards
    Aparna

    Hello,
They are not mapped directly, but in the field status of accounts groups it must have been made as Required field in order to link your AP with your GL.
IMG => Financial Accounting => Accounts Receivables and Payables => Vendor Accounts => Master Data => Preparations for creating Vendor master data => Define account groups with screen layout.
    Please check your authorization.
You have authorization reporting system through transaction code SUIM

  • Time-dependent Vendor Master & Handling Special Characters

    Hi,
I need to extract time-dependent Vendor Master.
    1. The data source for <b>0VENDOR</b> does not have fields to hold the valid date range.
    2. Does the Master data in R/3 for Vendors will hold the valid date range?
    3. The text for <b>0VENDOR</b> provides time-dependent, but how to map the <b>valid from</b> and <b>valid to</b> fields?
    Handling Special Characters:
We are trying to extract data from Legacy system via DB Connect. The item text field consists of special characters. Of course in BW customization we can specify all the special characters to consider. But the special character we observed is 'square' symbol i.e. 'new line character' in Oracle. We are updating this to an ODS object. When looked at error log, observed that green light for the number of records transferred and updated, but finally when it load into ODS object and activates popping up the error message saying 'could not recognize special character'.
Please help me getting the 2 issues resolved.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Sudhakar.

    Hi Everyone,
Thanks for inputs on Special characters issue...
Finally resolved with below piece of code in the start routine:

          ALLOWED_CHAR(95) VALUE
    '0123456789ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ`~!@#$%^&*()-_=+ ' &
    'abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz:;<>,.?/|\{}[]"'''.
    CONSTANTS: C_CHAR VALUE '-'.
LOOP AT DATA_PACKAGE WHERE NOT /BIC/ZI_DESC IS INITIAL .
        DO.
          IF DATA_PACKAGE-/BIC/ZI_DESC CN  ALLOWED_CHAR.
REPLACE SECTION OFFSET SY-FDPOS LENGTH LEN OF
                    DATA_PACKAGE-/BIC/ZI_DESC WITH C_CHAR.
            FLAG = SPACE.
          ELSE.
            FLAG = 'X'.
          ENDIF.
          IF FLAG = 'X'.
            EXIT.
          ENDIF.
        ENDDO.
        MODIFY DATA_PACKAGE.
      ENDLOOP.
if abort is not equal zero, the update process will be canceled
      ABORT = 0.
I have seen the link sent by 'Eugene Khusainov' today. Thought putting my piece of code that may help others...

  • Error while Importing Vendor Master records

I get the following error when importing vendor Master records into the MDM repositorry
Cannot import qualifiers because the qualified lookup field is not mapped.
I noticed that the file I'm importing contains 1000 vendors. However the qualified lookup table "PHONE" for the vendors contain only 388 records.
After I imported the records I found that there was only 389 records in the repository.
I'm using standard map provided by SAP.
I ran the import again but this time I unmapped all fields for the qualified update.
Now the Import Manager uploaded the remaining 613 records.
I would like to know whether how I can load 1000 records in one load rather than having to go through the file twice.
This is important since I want to use the import manager server for my loads.
    Thanks
    manoj

    Hi Manoj,
    Try the following options.
    1. In the Import Manager, Select Configuration->Options
set <b>"Merge qualified links using matching qualifiers value to Off"</b>
    2. In the Map Fields/Values tab in Import manager, select the qualified field in which you are trying to import, right clik on the field->select Set Qualified Update -> Update -> Select All available qualifiers into Matching qualifiers->
    New Links- Create
Existing Links -> Update (All Mapped Qualifiers).
Hope this should solve your problem.
    Thanks and Regards
    Subbu.

  • Vendor Master Extension in SRM

    Hi,
I am working on Vendor master table enhancement in SRM 4.0. I have added a new field in the master table using transaction EEWB. The new field is created successfully and can be seen in table BUT000.
Using badi BBP_BUPA_GET_CUF I am showing this field on SRM transaction BBPMAININT and is getting maintained correctly from there.
It is not getting maintained when I am replicating vendors in SRM from R/3 i.e. transaction BBPGETVD. For this I have implemented badi BBP_MAP_VMDATA_CF in backend R/3 system and badi BBP_GET_VMDATA_CF on SRM side. In the debug mode I can see that the data mapped in R/3 is coming correctly in SRM badi. In this BADI I am using Function Module ZZG00_BUPA_EVENT_DSAVB generated during EEWB transaction. But this FM is not storing any value in the tables. Badi help doc says for single field creation using EEWB, a FM ZZG01_BUPA_API_DETAIL_ADD gets generated and by passing Partner No and new fields Value (captured from R/3) the field can be populated. But in actual such FM is not generated and above mentioned FM (ZZG00_BUPA_EVENT_DSAVB) does not have any importing or exporting values. Is this caz of EEWC configuration? Or is there any other way by which I can achieve this.
Please do update if any one have ever worked on such requirement before.
    Thanks in advance.
    Rahul.

    Hi Christophe,
    Thanks for the response.
I am sorry if I have not narrated my problem correctly. But the problem itself is that the said FMs like
    ZZZG01_BUPA_API_GET_DETAILS
    ZZZG01_BUPA_API_DETAIL_ADD
    ZZZG01_BUPA_API_DETAIL_REMOVE
    ZZZG01_BUPA_API_DETAIL_CHANGE
are not generated after adding a field in BUPA using 'ADD NEW FIELDS' in TC EEWB.
    The only FMs generated are:
    ZZG00_BUPA_EVENT_DLVE1
    ZZG00_BUPA_EVENT_DSAVB
    ZZG00_BUPA_EVENT_ISDST
    ZZG00_BUPA_EVENT_ISSTA
    ZZG00_BUPA_EVENT_XCHNG
    ZZG00_BUPA_PAI_ZG000100
    ZZG00_BUPA_PBO_ZG000100
Beside these there are some reports, tables, domains, FG etc created. As I can not find any FM like "*_BUPA_API_DETAIL_ADD" I am not able to populate the newly created field using badi BBP_BUPA_GET_CUF.
I just want to know why these FMs not generated? Is it caz I am using 'ADD NEW FIELDS' instead of 'ADD NEW TABLE'? I am using FIELDS caz the new field will be maintained in Vendor general data.
Please throw some light if you can.
    Thanks once again.
    Rahul.

  • Workflow for Material Master and Vendor Master Creation

    Hi
Has anyone mapped creation of Material Master & Vendor Master through SAP Workflow.
    Seek your valuable inputs.
    Best Regards
    --Vikas

You may not get the complete standard form which will match this functionality. But you can develop your business logic in custom code for fetching the data and the interface and use the standard templates for layouts if any template matches your requirement. You can see the complete lest of templates in : "transaction SFP->Form->Layout->Tools->Template Manager
Most of the common templates are available here.

  • Vendor Master Data - General and Company Code Data

    Hi,
We are collecting vendor master data requirements. The requirements that I have are for Vendor General Data, Company Code Data (Accounting Info, Payment Transactions, Correspondence etc.) and Purchasing Org Data. Out of these 3 groups I can only see Vendor General Data that is mapped to CREMDM04 in SAP supplied syndication maps. I am wondering if someone could tell me how much effort is involved to first create the structure in MDM for Company Code data and Purchasing Data and then map these additional fields to CREMDM04 fields?
Why is it that Company Code data and Purchasing Data is not mapped in pre-delivered syndication maps?
    Thanks in advance,
    M

    Thanks Shruti for your reply.
I agree with you. However, our client is really pushing for Company Code Data and Purchasing Org data along with Vendor General Data. Now, this is something that is new to me to do. I have never done this kind of customization before.
I would really appreciate if someone from SAP could give me their recommendation and also help me answer the following questions
    1. Is this doable to map and syndicate Company Code data and Purchasing Org data along with Vendor General Data
    2. Is it possible to then extract the tables that hold Company Code data and Purchasing Org data from ECC and bring it back in MDM to update MDM tables (that we are going to create for this data)?
    3. What's the effort involved in this customization (Considering that we will be extending our repository structure, extend the syndication map, extract new tables from ECC for MDM, create import maps for these tables to import Company Code and Purchasing Org data into MDM)
    Regards,
    M

  • Vendor master data upload

how do we upload vendor master data into SAP from legacy system.can anyone give me a detailed explination.
    regards,
    deepthi

    Deepthi,
The steps would be (in LSMW) :
1 Create a new Project, Subproject (if not existing). Then give a name for the Object, say VendorMaster.
2 On the next screen, you will see several steps (radio buttons) to be performed. You should go in sequential order.
Double click the first, I think its called Maintain Object (sorry don't have access to SAP system right now)
3 On this screen you will see various options/methods (in the second section) for loading the data.
You may select which ever is appropriate or most suitable in your case.
Let's assume you want to use the very first options - Standard program for Direct Input/Batch.
4 Pull down (F4) for the Object & select Vendor Master.
5 Pull down again for the Method & select (I think( Standard). The program name & Type will be populated by LSMW.
If let's say none of the programs in this list satisfies your requirement, then you may decide to go for a Recording or a BAPI (again pull down & select appropriate method) or IDoc (CREMAS).
So now you have decided on the method you want to use for posting the Vendor Master data. Save the information & go back to the main screen of the object.
6 Double click on the next step for maintaining the Source Structure. Give the name(s) of the Source Structure(s).
7 Next step is to define the Source Structure(s) format (fields, attributes etc).
8 Next you maintain the relationship between the Structure(s) - Source & Target. The Target structures depend upon the method elected by you in step 5.
9 Next will be the most important step - ie specifying the mapping/conversion rules for each Target field. You can even write ABAP code by double clicking on the field - it will open up the editor where you can put in your ABAP code. There are also several events available - for instance at the <i>Beginning of Processing</i> or <i>Beginning of Transaction</i> etc. where again you can specify your own logic.
10 In the Next 2 steps you will give the file name & path & also associate the file(s) to the Source structure(s).
The develoment for the object is complete. Now you are ready to read, convert & post your Vendor Master data in SAP.
Let me know if you need additional assistance.
    Regards,
    Homiar.
