Mark Debit Open Item as Doubtful

Hi All,
I like to do an enhancement on Dunning by defining Dunning Activities. For that I will create a function module which will mark the debit open item as doubtful, similar process is done by tcode FPZW.
Is there any function module that would do certain process ? so I can make it as a reference. I have tried FKK_S_DOUBTFULDEBIT_CREATE, but kept getting error message saying that there's an error on the document, eventhough If I ran through FPZW it can be succeeded.
another thing is, how do I create the function module which to be defined on Dunning Activities ? I mean, what parameters should I create for the function module ? or any parameters I need would do, but how am I supposed getting the informations required ?
Thanks in advance
Idi

Depending on your ERP release, you should be looking at RFSEPA02.  RFSEPA01 is to rectify if you forgot to check "Line item Display" on the account master record.  This will create the appropriate BSIS, BSID, and BSIK records for line item display.
RFSEPA02 is if you forget to check "Open Item Management" on the account.  This will creat the appropriate BSIS, BSID, and BSIK records for Open item management.
By the way BSAS, BSAD, and BSAK are for the cleared items.
RFSEPA03 is to turn the account off from Open item Management.
In our ECC 6.0 system; however, RFSEPA02/03 are no longer options.  A popup error message suggests creating new accoutns and migrating the line items or archiving the existing items to use the existing account.

I don't need an offset account since there are postings on this BSX accounts where it is in balance.  But can you please explain why I shouldn't clear these accounts? What is the reason?

  • Regarding open items in credit management

    Dear friends
My query is that is it possible to restrict credit management for credit and debit open items? See i am using oldest open item blocking in my scenario. Now credit and debit amounts are both considered as open item for credit management. I want only invoice (Debit entry) for consideration and not his payment(credit entry).
Please advise is it possible or not and if possible where to define that???
    With regards

    Hi,
All business have their own credit management needs, SAP allows you to specify your own automatic credit checks based on a variety of criteria. You can also specify at which critical points in the sales and distribution cycle the system carries out these checks.
    SM30 - Table/View
    V_TVTW – Define Distribution Channel
V_TVTA_KKB – Assign sales area to credit control area
V_T014 – FI - Define Credit Control Area
T001CM - FI – Assign Permitted Credit Control Area to company code
OVXG - Set up Sales Areas
    e.g. Sales Organization
Distribution Channel Division Distribution Channel Division
    FD32 - Customer Credit Management
OVAK - Define credit limit check by sales document type
    Check Credit
A – Credit limit check and warning message
B – Credit limit check and error message (no sales order can be created)
C – Credit limit check and delivery block (block delivery if hit credit limit)
Options B and C -> used for checking open order values (when you create/change the sales order)
D – Automatic credit control with open order values
More control in transaction OVA8 - Automatic credit control
You check for open orders and deliveries, or just open deliveries.
or open order values with other options
    Credit group
Allows you to combine different sales document types for the credit limit check
VKM1 - Blocked SD Documents – Finance have to released the delivery block
OVAD - Define credit limit check by delivery order
whether the automatic credit check occurs at the time of delivery creation and/or goods issue
OVA7 - Define credit limit check by item category
Set whether to include/exclude item category for credit limit check
OVA6 - Define credit group. You can groups together different business transactions which should be dealt with in the same manner with regard to the credit check.
You enter the credit groups when you configure the sales document types for credit management and define the (D – automatic credit check).
    SAP default credit groups
01 – credit group for sales order
02 – credit group for delivery
03 – credit group for goods issue
OVA8 - Automatic credit control – Double click on the line items
You can have the followings credit limit check :-
    Static
Depends on the customer total value of open orders, deliveries, billing documents and open items.
    Open items
    No of days open
Overdue open items checks is based on the ratio of open items that are overdue by a certain number of days.
    Max open items %
The customer balance must not exceed a certain percentage.
    Oldest open items
If you don’t want to deliver to the customer at all when even only 1 invoice is overdue.
Tick the Check for Oldest Open Item and Set the field Days oldest item = 1.
    Days oldest item
No of days allowed for overdue or payment terms.
Use of the credit check Oldest Open Item. If a user attempts to alter the order quantity of a released sales document
that was previously blocked, it would be reblocked again by the system. The system only reblocks the sales document if the new order quantity is above a certain % amount.
    Released documents are still unchecked
The preset % is whatever you want to set it as when configuring your automatic credit processing. You enter a deviation % and number of days,eg, you can set it so that an order can be changed by up to 10% within 30 days of original order entry date without it going back on credit block.
    Next Review Date
If a customer has a credit limit of 1000 USD, and you would like to restrict this credit limit only to be available in current month (say March). If the document day is in April then the credit limit is zero.
You can use the “NextReview date” and “Number of days” fields and combined it with the “Last int.review” field in customer credit master “Status” view (FD32).
VOKR - Display of work list for credit management (configure the display variant)

    Siddharth.

  • Clear/Open Item Symbol Green Check Mark

    SAP Gurus,
I am running report FBL3N, for a clearing account, under clear/open item symbols instead of seeing a red dot or green dot, i see a check a mark. Does anyone knows what this green check mark means, and how can I clear the items?
Your help will be greatly appreciated

    Venkat,
Right now client has the accounts set-up as Line Item Display ( ALL OF TEH G/L ACCOUNTS), if I check open line item, when I save I get an error, saying there are errors. When I pull the long text to see the message of the error, it tells me,the message below. It apepars I have to create new accounts and then transfer the items to the new account is that true? or is there another way to fix this. I thought that by just checking the open item management option was sufficient.
You cannot change the open item management setting; (see long text)
    Message no. FH087
    Diagnosis
This account does not have a balance of zero.
    System Response
You cannot switch the open item management specification on or off with this transaction.
*Procedure*If you want to switch this function on retroactively for a certain account, you should create a new account with the correct setting and use this to make a transfer posting of existing items.
If you want to switch off the open item management function retroactively for an account, you must first clear all the postings currently on this account. You cannot make any changes to the account management method until this is done.

  • Matching open items doubt

    hi,
in FB05 first screen, at the first line item, i entered PK 50 and open item managed account A.
on second screen, i provide amount 600 and hit enter and provide another open item managed account B.
    1) why $600 at amount entered field is 600- and i need to find PK 50 in assigned field only can return 0 in not assigned field.
    2) the list to match is for account B and PK for account B is 40 so why amount entered is referred to credit 600 and not debit 600?
    3) the double entry shows is CR account A and DR account B but why in matching screen which list account B account items i need to look for PK 50. confusing me.
    thanks

    Eliana,
It depends the way the posting keys are been configured.
If 50 is for credit and 40 for debit, then if you type in PK 50 on first screen and mention A/C A and then hit enter and type in 600 on the next screen and type in 40 and A/C B and then hit enter and type in 600 on the next screen and try to save it. This is what happens
    Cr A 600
    Dr B 600.
    Hope that helps..

  • Doubt about report FBL5N of screen field:Open items and Cleared items

    hi
i know the report FBL5N is use DDF LDB and the report work flow is BSID->BKFP->BSEG
but i don't know to differentiate Open Items and Cleared items in this report.
Open items and Cleared items stand for a field flag in these table (BSID,BKFP,BSEG )? if true the field is?
or they must be calc in program ? if true what about calc rules?
    waiting for help! thank you!

    Hi,
Here is the difference in Open Items and Cleared Items.
In FI first the document is Open (when it is posted) so the entry is made in table BSID. Once the document is cleared, it will move from BSID to BSAD. And for Cleared item you will see Clearing Document no and Clearing date values updated (these are blank when the item is open).
The only difference in Open and Cleared is via Clearing Document and Clearing Date. If the values are present, it means document is cleared.
    Hope this helps.

  • F.05 doubt in Open Item and balance managed

    Hi,
I noticed that we have the option to valuate open items and G/L balances for the same account number's in F.05
If suppose, an open item managed account was entered and checked in both places (Open item and G/L balances), will the system do both? Since it can also take the balance of the account and give the difference or if SAP actually checks whether the option of open item managment is ticked in FS00 and decide to valuate it as open item.?

    Hi!
If open item management is selected in G/L Master, SAP valuate open item only. It won't do both valuations. You can verify the same with F.05. If u selected open item management, and in F.05 u want to valuate account balance for the same GL, SAP won't valuate.

  • Cleared item swowing as a Open item

Please give me the solution for this.

    Hi....
Those are items we cannot delete first we have to reverse those items using the FB08 for open items ..other wise use T.code FBRA for clearing items
once done the all activites after that you have dleted the statment number number useing program Goto SE38 and execute the following report: RFEBKA96.
On application put 0001. Here you will find all the statements. Mark the ones you want to delete... and press Delete Statements. This will permanently delete the load from your system.
HINT: to search the statement you want to delete (Short Key), query it using table FEBKO.
After delete the Bank Statement, the following steps can be solved. Please try:
    T.Code: FEBP
The following parameters to be entered:
Statement date: The same statement date
Statement number: The same statement number
    Select u201CPost immed.u201D Select
    Execute
    Note:
Please note that statement date is very important and same to be entered to process all the data for posting.
Finally check the statement file debit and credit balance it must be Zero
Than try to post once again ..it will allows you post

  • Open item mangment

what is the open item mangement?

Open item management helps in Clearing debit & credit items.
After Clearing GL codes, only Open Items will be dispalyed as unclear.
You should mark Open Item Management in GRIR Clearing Accounts and Bank Clearing Accounts and other required Gl codes.
    Hope this is answered.

  • Open items in FBL3N

    Hello,
I have a problem in displaying the open items and cleared items for a GL A/C in reports (FBL3N, FAGLL03).
Message obtained : No items selected.
In FS00, the following are checked :
    Open item management
    Line item display
Is there any other configuration required?
Thanks in advance for your help.
    Diana.

    Hello,
Though you have maintained your account as open item and cleared item, none of the line must have been cleared so far.
You need to clear the items through F-03 for this account. To clear the items debit and credit total must have been tallied. You one select those line items you want to clear. Then the amount will come to blue colour and non-clearing line items will come to black colour. Make sure the difference between these is ZERO.
Now, you can see in FBL3N, all items (select check box Normal items)

  • What happens to the open item in bsid table when it is cleared

    hi experts,
i have a doubt about open and cleared items of accounting documents. as we know open items of customers are stored in bsid and cleared ones in bsad. For suupose, an open item is closed ina particular period then what happened to the entry in bsid and bsad table. an entry regarding is stored in bsad (cleared),and what happens to the entry in bsid, still it will be there or removed from it.

    Hi,
When ever we clear the document(Complete payment) that document will be moved to BSAD table. Other wise it will remain in BSID.
If u are making partial payment then all the partial payment documents along with original document will be stored in BSID till u made the complete payment for that invoice.
Assumption is u have to give all partial payment documents made for particular invoice item while u are making complete payment in F-28 transaction. So that these partail payment documents will also be cleared while making complete payment and moved to BSAD table.
This trasaction can be used for both partial and complete payments.
Irrespective of complete or partial payments made all the documents will remain stored in BKPF and BSEG tables.
BSID and BSAD are index tables to address performance issues with BKPF and BSEG tables.
So all open and cleared documents will be there in BKPF and BSEG tables.
All cleared documents will be there in BSAD table.
Alll open documents will be there in BSID table.
    Hope it is clear.
    Thanks,
    Vinod.

  • Transfer Vendor Open items to a new company

    Hi,
My client is creating a new company code (Company B) from April and they want the vendor open items as on 31st March in the existing company (Company A)  to be transferred to the new company B on 1st April i.e on 1st April the balance in company A shall be shown as zero (no open items) and in company B shall be shown as the amount which is transferred from company A.
Please let me know how this can be achieved.
    Thanks
    VS

    Hi,
First you have to maintain cross company code gl accounts in OBYA
Choose transaction code F-04 or F-51with the option Transfer posting with clearing
Assume vendor 1234 has a debit balance of 1000/- in company code A(document number 100)
Now you have to pass the entry as below
    Go to F-51 or F-04
Give the header data like Company code A, document date, posting datea other...
    Choose Transfer posting with clearing
give posting key 21, vendor code 1234 Press enter
Give amount 1000 and click on process open items Give company code B, Vendor code and Account type K(vendors) and choose finally document number radio button press enter
Give the document number 100 and click on simulate. Now system will pass clearing entry in company code B and transfer entry in company code A.
You can create BDC for the same for line item wise.
Yet end you need to check the balances of intercompany transaction gl accounts which are maintained in OBYA. The balances of these gl account is zero in by adding the totals in company codes A&B.
    Check once

  • Vendor open Items clearing

    Hi,
The opening balances for some vendors is with a debit balance which are  uploaded at the time of migration to SAP. And later on there is credit to these vendors.
Now when I am trying to clear the same through f-44 the opening balance is not being picked up.
Is there anyway that i can clear these open items.
    Raj.

    Hello,
You should be able to clear in F-44.
Make sure the proper amounts are to be cleared.
If still not working you can try something, which is quite sensitive.
You could run an  " F110 fake run " for them, if you do not create bank file and do not send for payment.
The F110 payment run can clear your items.

  • Vendor open items report without page break after changing vendor account

    Hi,
I would like to get the vendor open items report without pagination when the vendor account changes.
The option of deleting the * mark in the Filter page is not valid for me, because this way the vendor's name dissappear. I mean, it would be ok if I could show in the output of the report the name of the vendors.
    Thanks in advance.

    HI,
If I understood your issue correctly then in the report S_ALR_87012085 is a field "Summarization level (0-4)" in the output controls.
You just have to set this field to the value '2'.
When you set the field to two, the page break will first executed, when the page is "full".
If you want to see information about the "Summarization level (0-4)" field, you just have to set the cursor in it, and press F1.
I believe this answer solve your problem.
Please assign points if it useful.
