Marketing or Sales products

Hi,
we will migrate from 11.5.6 to 11.5.10 and I'm reading note 316365.1. It is said :
"If you have registered any Marketing or Sales products" .
How can I see if we have installed any Marketing or Sales products.

you need to check the marketing or saler products status on the licance manager or you can do the following
run adlicmgr.sh from AD_TOP/bin
Using this method you can check the licensed products by Module or by individual Product. check if you have any marketing or sales products the licinse product will have a tick next to it.
or you can you the following query
select status
from fnd_product_installations
where APPLICATION_ID in (select APPLICATION_ID
from fnd_application
where application_short_name like '&name')
the application short name for marekting is AMS
for sales there is more than a product like the follwong
AS Sales Foundation
ASF Sales Online
ASL Sales Offline
if the application registerd its status will be I for installed

Oracle Marketing & Field Sales Implementation

Hi Experts
I'm a complete newbie to CRM and Marketing & Field Sales module. Working hard to grasp and understand the architecture and implementation process of CRM and Marketing & Field Sales module.
Plz guide me to start this experience. The major questions or doubts infact which comes to my mind right now are:
1. What is the Oracle CRM architecture? I see an ocean of oracle modules in CRM, but how to go about it?
2. What is the initiation point? ... From where should i start implementing?
3. Are these modules interrelated or we can implement each module independently?
4. If i be specific for now, then i wanna implement Oracle Marketing & Field Sales module. So how should i start exploring and do i need to implement any module as a pre-requisite to implement Marketing & Field Sales?
5. I'm currently going through the Oracle Lead Management implementation docs. Am i on the right track or do i need to study something else first?
Guyz, plz clarify these doubts as without clarifying these basic fundamentals, i'm not able to completely dedicate my time and focus on the subject. Until and unless i know that what i'm studying has got the desired end-result i'm not able to concentrate properly.
Plz help me in figuring out this messy web of modules and its architecture.

Mapping FS Product to CRM Sales Product

Hi,
Could anyone tell me how the mapping between the financial services product and CRM sales product is done? Is it done in any customizing setting in CRM system?
There is a customer who has a 1:1 mapping between FS product and CRM product. They would like to make it 1:many. I need to find a way to do this.

Hi Shanthala,
Yes, usually XI is used for this mapping.
The mapping is required because, when an offer is created in CRM on a particular product, an account has to be created in the banking services system for the corresponding product.
I found out that there is on standard way to do this mapping. However, the most common way is to use a Z mapping table. It simply has two fields, one for the CRM product number and another for banking services product number. Mapping is done!
This customer too follows the same way. However, as there is no XI system between banking services and CRM, the mapping table exists in the banking services system.

Hi Felix Rolan,
As per your experience I will suggest you to do initially Sales & Distribution module in SAP and then you can do your CRM in SAP without any hassels because I think SAP SD and SAP CRM are goes hand in hand in real time implementation in most of the projects.

I want to create a sales report i.e. productwise sales report with the key figures,sales quantity,production quantity and stock quantity.On a daily basis.
can anyone guide me which are the cube and datasouce i need to use to get these values.
And also how to link those cubes to make this single report.

If you going for the activation of fresh Data Targets, check the BI Content for the KFs (Sales Quantity,Production Quantity,Stock Quantity)

Update CRM marketing attributes in Product

Hi All,
We have a requirement where in we want to update CRM Marketing attibutes for a given Product.
This has to be done from SAP EP. An interactive form is launched from UWL and this would allow
user to proivde the marketing attribute data. The data is then to be sent for approval via R/3 workflow.
Now I want this data (after approval) to be updated in the product master data in CRM.
Do we have any standard APIs for this ?

I have a same requirement to update the existing value of a marketing attribute. I created a new implementation of BADI "BUPA_GENERAL_UPDATE"
I am using the FM 'CRM_MKTBP_UPDATE_ATTR_BP' to update the value, but the updation fails,,,,
MY requirement is to override the default value for a particular BP_KIND to some other value at the time of creation of BP.
please reply as I am having an urgent delivery of the requirement.

If you wish to view Marketing Attributes linked to a Business Partner use Transaction BP locate the relevant BP then click on the Marketing Attributes Tab.
Marketing Attributes are linked to Set Types.

How do we define the market segments to the Product Catagories. In the Product Hierarchies and Catagories Screen, I created Product Catagories and now I want to assign Market Segments to the Product Catagories. I am not finding a provision to do that. Can anybody suggest how to go about it.

You need to create a campaign under which you can assign your segments and product information.
To create campaigns first create mkt plan, mkt plan element, campaign, campaign plan element. This is under Marketing Planner.

Authorized distributors In Russia doesn't want to sale products to new shops. Can some body help?

Hello Apple , I could not find a email to write to you about this so I will write it here.
So what is the problem - we have wrote and call to all the distributors in Russia and they will not work with us.
The answers from distirbutors.
Marvel - said that we need to buy 10 products at time ( we said okay , sent us the price list ) -next day we had none price on the email. We have called them and asked where the price list is? the aswer was we will not sent it and ended the call.
Same history with diHouse
So how shold we work to get the authorized reseller, when we can`t buy at the distributors?
And we are a new internet shop and a shop-office in Saint Petersburg in Russia. We have some other projects for reklame our shop, we have the money to buy products soo .
We spend money to register the shop and many other thinks.. And got this.
So what should we do import the products from Finland ?

Can I use Intercompany Invoicing concept to sales product to another OU

Process Model
In resume I need centralized purchacing and centralized planification of materials in one OU, another OU will order to the centralized OU for materials, it must be receptions of materials in the OU that made the order and payment to the centralized OU.
My cuestions is, can I use the concept of Intercompany Invoice for it?

Recovery disks are made to work on specific models.
The pavilion disks will in no way work on the Probook.
