Material weight changes back to original value

Hi, we have a scenario where a material's weight is changed to a new value. This is done by an incoming Idoc, that is processed by a background job.
The problem is, the material get this new value, but it is changed back to the old value immediatly.
In transaction mm03 and looking at the material, in Environment -> Display Changes, from the menu, I see the new value is written by the background job user. But at the same second in time, the material is updated back with the old value, by the same background user.
Any suggestions?

As u can c there are two entries in the Change screen, the second is created by the same user or different and also by which tcode is it created. My understanding is there is some additional process started when u are doing a change. Also try manually doing a change and c if it gets back the original value. If not then I think your Idoc is firing some parallel process which is geting executed. I don't think the same process is updating the material otherwise you would get only one entry.

Problem of h:selectOneMenu it is popping back to original value

I have a dataTable in which one column is a <h:selectOneMenu> and the required attribute is false.
There is a inputText in another column and the required attribute is true.
Whenever I change the <h:selectOne> option to null (that is blank option) from a string option and delete the inputText box value and click the submit button the
<h:selectOneMenu> jumps back to its original value though I placed the required to false and a required message for inputText box.
Required Message that pops out for inputText is expected but the <h:selectOneMenu> popping back is not desired. How can I avoid it.

Ultiboard v5.72 via code default back to original values – help please!

I’m prototyping a fairly simple double sided board. I’m using the internal single pass auto router. I’m quite happy to have vias in the design but they need to be fairly large. Consequently before beginning the auto router I modified via size 0 to be :
X1=40mil X2=40mil Y=80mil RAD=40mil Clear=40mil Drill=40mil ‘apply’
After entering the sizes I get a warning window “you have changed the via sizes – please verify your production class to achieve best (auto) routing
I then click on ‘ok’ to acknowledge the warning. The values I have changed at this moment are still the ones I chose. I then click auto route../..production class 4M and it begins to route but does not use the dimensions of the via code I modified, if fact when I interrogate the via sizes after the route is complete, they have defaulted back to the original values !!
Have I not set some parameter or sommat? Any help would be appreciated

I say this not to be a jerk, but I don't think your going to get any help on this. Even 3 years ago they were up to version 7..........as of todays date, its version 10.......and in a month or two it will be version 11.......I doubt there is any support for 5.72.
What does the help file say about drill hole and via diameters? Those archaic bitmap autorouters sucked big then, and still do. Since version 8 its vector based and a lot more robust. I would suggest you download the eval 10 and give that a whirl.....just a thought. I haven't used 5.72 in over 9 years......sorry I can't be of more help.

Edited photo changes back to original when exported

I did some editing on a photo using the iPhoto editor - changed it from color to B&W and did some other tweaking. Saved the photo with the changes and exported it. The exported picture is the original color photo. Tried exporting it right to Flickr using the link in iPhoto and the photo came out in color. Quit iPhoto and restarted it. The photo in the library is in B&W, but when exported changes back to color.
Unfortunately I don't have Photoshop on my laptop.........so I can't do any changes there.

Sounds like your database is damaged.
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

If I changed my country from the time when I purchased an app (e.g. from USA to Germany), and then changed back to the original country (e.g. from Germany to USA), why can I not redownload an app previously purchased when USA was selected as the country?

You must be within the Country with a Valid Billing Address and Credit Card for that Country to use the iTunes Store of that Country...

Probably not - although iPhoto probably will not recognize the modified information - but it is not a good idea to modify anything in the iPhoto library except using iPhoto - iPhoto '08 and later have a command to modify date and time - I do not think iPhoto 6 did, although its been a ling time now

My page has a button that, when clicked, calls a Java function that sets a PageLegend and changes an image but then FireFox reloads the page switching everything back to original values. What's up?

This is happening with an ASP page. Not sure when it started, but the page used to work fine. The Java script is listed in the troubleshooting section. The button calls nextPic() which calls showPic(). After nextPic processes the page is reloaded.

Material weight change in Sales Order

Hi ,
In a Sales Order, the weight of a material gets copied from the material master.Is it possible to change the weight of a material in a sales order /Quotation if it is maintained as 0 in Material master.
Our client used to change the weight in sales order regularly but now system is allowing to change the same . How this can be fixed?

The reason you not able to change the weight in sales order might be becouse, Weight / Vol. relevant tick in the item category settings (VOV7) is missing.
If you Maintain the tick and then try to create a sales order. The weight fields will no longer be grey means user can not chnage

Why do re-named images changed back to original name after external editing

I batched re-named a number of images, but when i took one of the renamed images into PS by via the Aperture external editor the retouched file reverted to its original name when it came back into Aperture..... Why is this so? eg Original name was "STE_2200" then i added "2009" to all files to make this files new name "STE_22002009" but when it came back from PS via external editor it was "STE_2200" again. Why might this happen?

The above answer is correct. Renaming in Aperture after import only changes Aperture's VERSION NAME. The FILE NAME on your hard drive remains unchanged. Officially you can rename file names on import or export, but you can also do it when just moving the photos. For instance, from Managed to Referenced or from one managed location to another managed location, etc. I can give more details if anyone likes.

Start up disk was full and i guess I changed the start up disk by error and now I can't see the dock and not able to change back to original start up disk

I tried to delete start up disk files and messed up, galaxy screen only comes after I log in, no dock, won't take start up disk, can't get to utilities to try and fix it

How to stop material description changed after changing customer on SO

I have updated material description on a SO. However after changing the Sold-to, the material description refreshed back to original.
Anyone knows how to stop system to change material description back to default?

In standard SAP when we change sold to party in sale order system redetermine prices and taxes but this is new thing for me that system also redetermines material description. Amitesh Anand I have also chcked this in my system and material description is getting changed after changing the customer.
Field is VBAP-ARKTX and you can ask your ABAPER to write the code in userexit MV45AFZZ and
USEREXIT_PRICING_PREPARE_TKOMP. I have checked this system is calling this exit. Give it a try and update the status.

Decision Table values changes back after deploy.

Hi All,
I created Decision Table and filled it by some values.
Then I built my Rules Composer project and deployed it.
After that I changed some values in my Decision Table from RulesManager and uploaded their.
Then I deployed my Rules Composer again.
After that I looked in Decision Table from RulesManager again and saw that all values were changed back to their original values.
Does anybody knows is this feature or bug?

The functionality is as follows:
1. You selected the active version to open the project - made changes to the rules, uploaded this. This version though is the latest, it has not been activated. The rules project which will be open will still be the active version, that means the changes recently made will not be displayed.

3. After the changes were made, you uploaded (even activated) the changes. The rules are changed in NWDS and uploaded, now the version of the rules as were in NWDS at the time of deployment will be the latest/active version of rules in the server.
The behavior you saw is expected. (3rd point)
The way to prevent this loss of modifications made to rules using rules manager, is to - first download the runtime version of rules from server using the option available in NWDS; make the required changes to this active version and upload this DC to server.

Weight change in material master, update all open PO's

Hello
IS there any standard way for mass update open purchase orders, when weights and volumen in material master change ?
example:
there is a change in neto weight for material AAAA, which is inserted into mm02, basic data for his material. This change doesn't effect already created open orders with this material. Is there any standard way to update them in sap 4.7 ?

Changes will get reflected for new docs only. This is standard.
Now other question comes, why you want to change in PO. I am sure PO are already sent to vendor. Then ideally it is not advisable to change in those PO.
If you haven't sent those PO to vendor, open those PO do some minor corrections SAP will populate the change information in PO documents.
Also changed information will get effective later at GR stage also.
So no question to worry.
