Maven in JDev12c: Can't even build empty project

Question

I'm all for using Maven to build ADF applications, but it seems that JDeveloper generates a defective POM out of the box. To reproduce: Create an ADF Fusion Web Application, don't put any content in, right-click the POM in the model project and run the "package" phase, then right-click the POM in the view project and run the "package" phase. You'll get
[WARNING] The POM for MavenApp1:MavenApp1Model:jar:1.0-SNAPSHOT is missing, no dependency information available
[INFO] BUILD FAILURE
[ERROR] Failed to execute goal on project MavenApp1View: Could not resolve dependencies for project MavenApp1:MavenApp1View:war:1.0-SNAPSHOT: Could not find artifact MavenApp1:MavenApp1Model:jar:1.0-SNAPSHOT -> [Help 1]
I think this is a fairly common "let's have a look at this Maven stuff" scenario - and it tells prospective Maven users that this thing doesn't work. That's too bad.

Thanks Shay,
I did have some simple BC from my HR schema, I just wasn't building from the application, I was building from the VC instead.
I'm still getting the
[INFO] [WARNING] The POM for MavenPOC:Model:jar:1.0-SNAPSHOT is missing, no dependency information available
But it still was able to build successfully:
