Media Explorer Doesn't Recognize my Micro After Upgrading to 2.11

Last week I downloaded the 2..02 firmware for my Micro so I could subscribe to Yahoo! Music Unlimited. I've been trying unsuccesfully for a week to get my Yahoo! songs to transfer to my Zen. Today I tried to load some of my ripped songs into my player so I could at least have something to listed to while I hash this problem out with Yahoo! When I launch the Media Explorer it says that I need to connect my player even though I've triple-checked the connections. Any suggestions how I should proceed?

Thanx, my problem is solved. Was this update listed somewhere and I just missed it when I updated the firmware? Now I just need to fix my Yahoo! problem and I'll be fine.

I recently upgraded my Macbook to Snow Leopard. I still have all of my software, my files, etc. on my laptop, but when I plug in my iPhone 4, only iPhoto shoes up. I am able to transfer photos but the phone doesn't show up in iTunes at all. Before my Snow Leopard upgrade, my phone worked fine with iTunes.
I've tried swapping the cable, rebooting both devices (many times). Nothing works. Help!

Have you run Software Update since installing Snow Leopard?
If so and all available updates have been installed, try re-downloading the current iTunes version and re-install it over the existing. No need to delete iTunes first.

ITunes doesn't recognize my account after upgrade

I just downlaoded the new version of iTunes, and I had a lot of trouble getting it to connect to the iTunes store. Now that I've solved that issue (after an hour on the phone with a rep. in India), the iTunes store says "This AOL screename has not yet been used with the iTunes Store" When it definately has! I still have $5.00 on my account or else I would just make a new one but I am very frustrated. Please help!

Do you definitely have the radio button for AOL selected?
If you still can't sign in, contact its support. Maybe they can convert the AOL account as mentioned here:

i upgraded itunes and my 2gen ipod touch will not open itunes. It is recognized as a drive in the file folder

I've tried most all of the "solutions" listed' uninstalling itunes, reinstalling, checking Admin Svcs for Ipod and Itunes. Still no luck. Seems there would be a option when plugged in to start Itunes, then we could get to the ipod anyway.

Try this. Worked for me.
- turn off your router
- turn off you Mac's after removing all available printers
- turn off all iDevices
- do a factory reset of your printer remove all cables min. 30 sec.
- turn on your router first
- ran the network set up wizard
- give your printer also a new name like "DeskJet 2015"
Something which you don't have used before.
- turn on your Mac's and add your printer
- turn on your iDevices at least.
Should work after these steps.
It worked for me including all iDevices.

Media Sync Doesn't Recognize Device

Just got an unlocked Curve 8320. Inserted a media card, and downloaded Media Sync to my PC, not the whole Desktop Manager. Media Sync now doesn't recognize my device; have tried this tons of times! And, my computer itself doesn't recognize it as a USB drive as well. My device does have the 4.5 software loaded. Is it possible to just drag and drop music files to my microSD card since I can't use Media Sync? Also, does my blackberry have to be connected via USB for me to use Roxio Media Manager? Or can I just insert my media card? Didn't want to download the whole Desktop Manager w/ Media Manager since it already doesn't recognize my device. Aagh!

Also, I do not have Desktop Manager or anything else downloaded. Without having that stuff, should my computer be able to recognize my Blackberry; at least as a USB drive?

Media Encoder doesn't recognize Behringer USB mixer

I just purchased a Behringer Xenyx X1222USB mixer to use for live stream events using Flash Live Encoder on my MacBook Pro. Flash Encoder doesn't recognize the USB input from the mixer. Other I know the computer recognizes it since I went into the Audio Settings and can see the USB input there with audio levels.
I use Yosemite platform. Any help needed as soon as possible.

So, it looks like Media Encoder is stuck in a trial version? The only formats available are indeed .f4v, .flv, .mp3 & h.264. Is a reinstall of Media Encoder the fix?

I've moved my iPhoto Library from my Mac HD to an external hard drive (WD My Book 1) and now there are no pictures in the iPhoto application when I open it. I have a collection of over 3000. When I click on a .jpg photo within the iPhoto Library I get the message: "Corrupt File or Preview Doesn't Recognize format".
I've been told that this has something to do with moving the iPhoto library from one location to another and that I have to do something to have Tiger recognize iPhoto in its new location.
I moved the iPhoto library from my Mac HD to one of the My Book Ext HDs. But there also was a back up of iPhoto Library on the 150 GB Acomdata Ext HD taken from the Mac HD that wasn't moved. That back up was done on a scheduled backup using Carbon Copy Cloner. However, when I looked for the iPhoto Library on Acomdata, all that was there were the seven item that don't, I think, make up any kind of a library:
Dir.data
iPhoto.db
iPhotoLock.data
Library.iPhoto
Thumb32.data
Thumb64.data
ThumbJPG.data
Could someone please help me with this? I thought I had backup and also that I had moved the library carefully.
In addition, there are other files that I've moved from the Mac HD to the external that aren't opening either, such as movies (.flv "The movie could not be opened), .rtf files ("File does not exist." and .pdfs ("File error. couldn't open the file.")

I didn't make that clear. The IPhoto Library backup wasn't to the Acomdata. I backed up IPhoto Library to the two 1 TB WD EHDs ("StorageUnit WDnew" and "BU of StorageUnit WDnew") then trashed the one on Mac HD.
The backup you see on Acomdata (clone of Mac HD) isn't a complete library. It's nothing but a new library I started to create and it's to be ignored. I should remove it.
Below is a picture of the back up of IPhoto Library and other items to the first WD "StorageUnit WDnew". The backup on "BU of StorageUnit WDnew" is the same. These two aren't bootable. They only store information. The Acomdata is bootable and that's where I back up my Mac HD. IPhoto used to be on the Mac HD and I moved it to "StorageUnit WDnew". It's the same on "BU of StorageUnit WDnew".
Will "Rebuild IPhoto Library" be able to pull from the external HD?
Why can't I drag and drop folders or files into the volumes in the side bar?
Should I do anything with Ownership and Permissions before I Rebuild IPhoto Library?
Should I press "Apply to enclosed items.” button to set the new read and write settings?
I listed the equipment I use in My Profile in My Products again. I'd done that before. Also, my picture, also in profile, isn't showing up. See what happenns this time.

Itunes doesn't recognize iphone 4 after ios 5 update

I updated my iphone to iOS 5 last week realized that when I connect it to my computer itunes doesn't recognize the phone now. i've tried restarting both the phone and my macbook. I tried reinstalling itunes. I can't restore the iphone because I cannot get the phone connected to itunes. Any ideas?

Zen V Media Explorer Doesn't Open; Proposed Suggestions Unhelp

I have had my Zen V for a little more than a year, and though scuffed, it's still in good condition from being gently handled and used rarely. As of the last two months or so, the Media Explorer program necessary to get new music to the player has been tempermental -- rarely connecting properly, and often closing down before media is fully transferred. Now it no longer connects AT ALL. I can offer no explaination for why this is happening: I thought it could be Vista, but when I tried to load it up on an older XP computer, the same results occured. I have read the FAQ and have tried all USB ports. The cord is not damaged, and the Zen charges (though that alone is often a whole other problem tacked to a growing list of reasons why I will never buy another Creative product again). I tried to add music via RealPlayer to no avail. Links to supposed "solutions" on the website are often broken. Because my warranty has expired, I would have to pay for direct customer support which I suspect will be as effecti've as diddly at this point. To vent just a little, I am utterly fed up with the multiple problems this brand has given me. If anyone has any helpful suggestions that might get me somewhere, I'd be extremely grateful. I'm willing to try anything. Otherwise, I well and truly feel that I have basically sent $100 dollars down the drain.

I have the same problem... The only way I've found to close it so far is by using the task manager.

Superdrive no longer recognizes optical disks after upgrade to 10.5.5

It was handing down my 2007 MacBook Pro 2.2 gHz with a Superdrive fully functional running 10.5.4 with all the security updates. We booted of the Leopard install DVD and did a clean install. Then allowed Software Update to install 10.5.5 as well as anything else that needed updating. Now the MacBook Pro 15" will not mount any CD, DVD. It clicks for awhile then makes like a "boing" sound and kicks out the disk. So, the software install definitely caused this.
BTW, it also has the EFI firmware 1.5 installed and no new versions available for download. My new MacBook Pro has a newer Superdrive firmware.
Another odd thing is that booting from by Carbon Copy Cloner disk we made prior to the install also doesn't recognize any CD, DVD anymore!

Did the DVD drive work before you installed the updates but after you installed Leopard?
In the MBP forums, there were many issues with optical drive problems. There were a bunch of defective drives that failed after a time.
Does the drive show up in the System Profiler? And if so, what does it say?

System won't recognize a RAID after upgrading to 10.5

Hello,
Two RAIDs were working great on an Apple G5 with OS X 10.4.0. After upgrading the operating system to 10.5 and other changes listed below, the computer doesn't recognize one of the RAIDs. The computer does recognize one RAID, which does not have a port multiplier; it does not recognize drives in the RAID with the port multiplier.
System: Apple G5 Quad Processor
SATA card: Sonnet E4P
RAID A: SC-SAT05PM, with Port Multiplier & single SATA cable
RAID B: Mercury, 2 drives & 2 SATA cables.
All 3 SATA cables connect to ports on the Sonnet E4P.
Both RAID's were created with OS 10.4 disk utility software
Here's how things happened, in order of time:
There are 2 internal drives in the computer, G5..1 & G5..2. My wife installed OS 10.5 to boot from internal drive #2, G5..2. Both RAID’s were recognized by the computer in OS 10.4 and OS 10.5. However, the system was instable and crashing frequently with 10.5. She then dragged the G5..2 10.5 Applications folder to the trash and she only boots to 10.4.
At this point, 10.4 is still recognizing both RAIDs.
We went on vacation and I shut down both the RAID and the G5.
After booting everything back up, the system will not recognize the RAID with the Port Multiplier. The computer Does recognize the other RAID with 2 hard drives.
Any way to get our RAID back without losing the data? I read another thread where somebody suspected firmware in the controller. The drives seem to initialize in the RAID box just fine, and the disk utility sees the individual drives, but reports them as Offline.
Mercury RAID with 2 Seagate drives and 2 SATA cables going to the G5/Sonnet.
Clicking on G5RAID..800 in the left column shows these results
Port Multiplier RAID with 5 Seagate drives: 4 are in the RAID set, 1 is not.
Clicking on disk10, which is grayed out, in the left column gives these results

CMD+ any shortcut doesn't work in Safari after upgrading to Yosemite

After upgrading from Mavericks to OS X Yosemite 10.10 not a single CMD+ shortcut works?!
For example CMD+tab works (switching between apps), ctrl+tab works (switching between tabs), but none of these work: CMD+W, CMD+Q, CMD+F, CMD+C, CMD+X, CMD+P...
They all work perfectly fine in all other apps. It's just Safari.
Does anyone have any idea why and how to fix this?

CMD+SHIFT+1,2,3,... doesn't work in safari.
I'm using "English interface" with "French keyboard".
following miladc advice and link (Shortcuts not working on Safari and Firefox),
I changed my Language pref to French ... so I got "French interface" with "French keyboard" ... and it worked once !!!!
But it works no more ... very weird
All I want to do, it's having shortcut for my bookmarklet !
