Message status for user

Hi Everyone,
Could anyone let me know how the SOLMAN service desk can be configured so that the user who raises the message can view the status of the message from time to time. Is that they need to logon to SOLMAN in order to view this detail or is the any config or Tcode for the user to view these details from the satellite system itself?

Hi,
The configuration of the work centers is simple. Look for it in SPRO -> SAP Solution Manager -> Configuration -> Scenario specific settings -> Cross scenario settings -> Work center.
This is an explenation from the SPRO on what workcenters are:
"A work center is a user menu environment. The user can access alerts reports and documents, and perform authorized tasks, in a work center. A user can be assigned to several work centers, depending on his tasks.
You can call work centers in the Web Browser or from SAP GUI in the transaction SOLMAN_WORKCENTER (see. SAP note 314568)."

    We have been facing issues lately during some imports with BPC environments from D to Q.
    The team sent me the SU53 screenshot as attached below.
    The user who sent me the screenshot has the missing object access already, i noticed the entry : Check for User _SYSTEM.
    We are unable to identify which user could it be as we dont have a user called _SYSTEM in our system.
    Is there a way to find out the User for which this access is being checked?

    AUTHORITY-CHECK statement has the capability to check foreign user access although you are running the program. See docs on the statement in tcode ABAPDOCU.
    In this case, the FOR USER variable is either hardcoded or coming from some customizing.
    What you need to do is get the user to run this SU53 and then hit the save button. Then go to table USR07 for than user and the check and at the end of the table fields you will see the program context and line at which it happened. Then go to SE80 to display that code and look to see what happens before the AUTHORITY-CHECK statement (particularly where the FOR USER variable is coming from).
    99 times out of 100 it is a configuration problem (very strange one...) caused by not reading the documentation or there is no documentation....
    Good luck and let us know what you find. It is an interesting problem which I have also seen increasing recently. Makes it very confusing for security admins and application support when trouble shooting and they expect SU53 to tell the truth, but the feature itself is very cool if used correctly and you take note of the "reason codes" for the check.

    You can use this FM RH_LOCAL_INBOX_GET which gives all the details of the work item for the particulaer user. In this FM goto table tab WI_LIST willl give all the details WI_LIST-WI_STAT give the status of the work item.

  • Creating a Message Prompt for Users

    Hello.
    I'm trying to create a message prompt, parallel to my project which requires a certain amount of gain.
    If it exceeds the limit, it should prompt us a message, saying that it's overlimit and the program should stop immediately.
    This is something I should be getting.
    However, the problem now lies in the prompt itself.
    Whenever, i click OK, it just closes for 1 second, and opens back up.
    How do I click it once, and the program stops ?
    Will really appreciate any tips/advice.

    First look up the error message number, then follow this path: Spro>MM>Purchasing>Environment Data>Define attributes of system message, click execute, then whatever the error message is, look up and change from E to W

  • Filter on status for user/position

    Hi All,
    I am working on Status Management and my requirement is to have a single status (System status In Simulation) of status profile linked to a particular BP and visible from it but hidden for another BP.
    The status profile has to be the same used for MKT Object.
    Anyone can tell me if there is some particular settings in CRM to do that? Any Badi to be implemented?

    We managed to solve the problem by this way.
    ①Go to SLFN0001 as we did before.
    ②Add new status in the first screen (just add something)
    ③Go to u2192Translationu2192Status Translation
    ④Select Maintenace lang: German  and Language: Your lang (I put Japanese)
    ⑤Write status and Status and Save
    ⑥Go back to first screen of SLFN0001 and double click the new one that you created
    ⑦Add new transaction by New Entries (F5)
    ⑧choose transaction whatever you like (I choose it at random)
    ⑨Go back to first screen and make sure highest number is all the same
    I have two points to mention.
    ①Please make sure to put transaction control (or action ) to your new one.
    ②Please make sure to highest number same from the  top to the bottom
    Otherwise the new status is not going to appear.

    well, you could for example modify the solution in the weblog mentioned in the way, that every user logged on to the portal only sees the message once per session. But i think, there is no way to show the user a popup without having any preliminary user action (i.e. clicking on anything) like it is in SAPGUI ... what other functionality do you think of ?

  • Waiting for user logon...

    Hi,
    we're currently experiencing issues with random applications refusing to install with the message 'Waiting for user logon'. I'm seeing this in Software Center so obviously someone is logged on. It doesn't seem to matter if I'm logged in via RDP or directly
    on the pc. I've gone through the basics with the deployment monitoring tool and skimmed through some logs but nothing jumps out.
    I have to admit, I don't know a lot about sccm 2012 as it's no longer my area so my experience and training is mostly limited to sms / sccm 2007. I do know that the current guys running know very little and anything that doesn't work is a "known microsoft
    issue" - only they can never point you to a KB. I now work mostly in remediation of legacy apps to win 7 / x64 but being as it's not installing it's considered broken so naturally it has become my problem.
    Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

    I attempted a CCMRepair on this client, and it didn't make a difference. I haven't yet uninstalled and reinstalled the client completely yet. 
    The CcmExec log shows (every time user logs in), that there's a login detected, and it shows it on session 2:
    Registering for Logon/Logoff notifications.

    We need to customize Status Profile and User Status Specifc  to customer requriments.
    we need the following Status for Support Message:
    Open
    Accepted
    Rejected
    Fixed
    Retest
    Closed
    Note:
    1] Only the Message creator should be able Set staus Open and Closed
    2]  Message Processor should only set status Accepted, Rejected, Fixed and Retest
    I have created the Status Profile in BS02.
    Can some one help me the steps or guide how to implement the above logic and restrict the status access between Message Creator and Message Processor

  • Receiving error message "Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM'" every minute on server which is the mirror

    Hello,
    I have 2 SQL Server 2008 R2 machines that are configured with database mirroring (using certificates as authentication), there is no witness configured.  My issue is that the mirror server is receiving at least one of the below pared messages every
    second and filling up my sql error log quickly.
    SYSTEM is the service account user for the MSSQLSERVER service. 
    [298] SQLServer Error: 4060, Cannot open database "<databasename>" requested by the login. The login failed. [SQLSTATE 42000]
    [298] SQLServer Error: 18456, Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM'. [SQLSTATE 28000]
    The database has a status of: Affected database state is: Mirror, Synchronized/Restoring...
    When I checking the database mirror monitor, it shows that its mirroring ok and everything has green checkboxes.
    Is there a way to stop all these errors being logged, I'm assuming this isn't normal.

    Yes i have faced the same issues and tried everything and nothing was using this account, system was ended up with creating few GB's sql error log files everday.. and finally i had two options, 1 -- Rebuild the instance completely 2. Change the SQL Server
    Audit settings to Only successful logins and restart the instance.. ( May be your current sql server level Audit setting is set to Failed & Successful logins..
    Remeber my server was a DR so I have changed the SQL Server Audit settings to only Successful logins.. but production servers we will monitor both... :)

  • I am having some trouble with receiving messages from iMessage users when I don't have my iMessage turned on. When I called for support, I spent 30 min waiting and the woman's response to me was "Turn on your iMessage." I prefer not to use it

    I have an iPhone 5s and a MacBook Pro. Ever since I updated my computer software to Yosemite, it linked my Apple ID with my phone number and I am not receiving messages from iMessage users on my phone, but rather to my computer. I don't like to use iMessage so I keep it off and would like to receive all messages as SMS texts. I have already tried changing my Apple ID password, logging off of my Apple ID in iMessage on my phone and turning it off, and changing settings on messages on my computer. Nothing is working. Either the messages continue to go to my computer or the messages trying to be sent say they cannot be sent.
    After spending 30 + minutes waiting for technical support, the woman helping me (who did not give me her name) told me I should just turn on iMessage. After explaining that I don't like having iMessage on and asking why it worked for at least a year up until this point she said "things change and sometimes we don't know why things do what they do". She asked me about various other things on my phone such as bluetooth and told me to turn on and off airplane mode and the call disconnected. I have not been contacted since, even though she has my phone number.
    I am hoping for some help and also hoping people don't get the type of service I received tonight.

    I think you can solve your problems by removing your AppleID email address from BOTH the Messages setting on your iPhone and the iMessages settings on your Mac.
    On iPhone:
    Settings > Messages > iMessage > Dissabled
    Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > touch the "(i)" < touch "Remove This Email"
    On Mac:
    Open "Messages" application
    Click "Messages menu > Preferences
    Click "Accounts"
    Select your AppleID account
    Under the "You can be reached for messages at" settings, uncheck your AppleID email address and your phone number
    Then uncheck the "Enable this account" setting
    And lastly, ask all of your friends with iPhones to delete all iMessage conversations (blue bubbles) in their entirety.
    To test, send a friend a new text using their phone number (not their email address) and watch the color of the bubble.  If it's green then you are using SMS.

    As per my client current scenario every work item will be sent to 3 useru2019s (One is the supervisor of the other two users). If any one of the user executes the work item it will automatically call a Ztransaction and displays the screen. When the user without taking any action, he presses the BACK button (in Ztransaction) and comes out of the transaction. Then the workitems for the rest of the users will disappear from there inboxes.
    But my client requirement is such that, whenever the user click on back button the workitem should be "IN PROCESS" status for two users(One is the supervisor and one who executes the workitem) out of  3 users possessing the workitems.
    Please provide me any advice to the above requirement.

    I think this can be done either by putting a check whether the user does anything. If he does a flag should be set which can be used in the Codition Tab of the Activity step that will prevent the workitem from completion.

    STATUS_TEXT_EDIT --> To Read the existing status.
    STATUS_CHANGE_INTERN_VB --> to change the status.
