  • Can't print over network get message "Error Printing" in message Queue

    Hi,
    I have 3 machines, xp, vista and windows 7.  I have 2 printers that are configured to print through the network
    1. OfficeJet Pro L7680
    2. PhotoSmart C7180
    For all 3 computers I can go to the web configurations for the printers (so I know the network settings are correct).  Windows finds the printer and properly installs the drivers using the TCP/IP network port.
    I can only print to the PhotoSmart from the Vista computer.  I can't print from the XP or Windows 7 machine, I can't printer to the OfficeJet Pro from any computer.
    Both printers work on all computers via USB port.
    when I try to print a test page the job stays in the print queue and gets a message "Error Printing".
    The funny part is that the computer can communicate with the printers and get the ink levels no problem.
    I have been banging my head on the wall and cannot figure it out.
    Any Suggestions?

    I think I figured it out after torchering my self for weeks.
    I had my computers and printers hooked up directly or wireless through a linksys WRT610N router.  I decided to add a linksys switch right after the router and plugged the computer and printers in through the switch and now it works.
    This is very strange, there must be somekind of incompatibility with the WRT610N router that is causing the problem, it works but refused to print for some reason.  I tried changing settings in the router but haven't got it to work.
    Any clues on what it could have been with the router?

    Hi,
    I get following error message when printing out a sales order just created.
    No matching records found 'Document' (RDOC) (ODBC-2028) (Message 131-183)
    Logged in as super-user, posting periods is unlocked. It is a new company just created. With sand-box company no errors-it prints properly to same printer.
    What could be the problem?

HP Officejet Pro 8500A e-All-in-One.  I have a macintosh computer using snow leopard.  I have used the printer for 6 months.  Nothing has changed.  I shut off the printer and turned it on.  The internet is working altough I will turn it off and on.  What do I do next?  Thank you.

    The easiest and fastest thing for you is to reset the printer to its defaults and then just install the printer again following the instructions in the manual when you received it.  If you don't have these you will find this on the HP web site.

    2)Select application EF  and go to condition records
    3) o/p type is neu , select the same and double click on it .
    4) select paricular condition table.
    5) maintain condition records , means for particular combination NEU should appear automatically in PO print.

    When I create an Output Message to Print a Purchase Order, a red light appears in the status column.
    Then when a I click over, the system said " No Analysis Log exist".
    Does anyone know what turns this on?

    Check following options:
    Option:1-->Are you using two output type of Purchase order Print( one is default output type & one you are entering manually).
    Check your entry of print operation ( 1 or 2) for your PO output type manually in following path:
    SPRO>MM>Purchasing>Message>Output control>Message type> Define message type for Purchase Order-->Fine-Tuned Control: Purchase Order
    Option:2-->Have look on dispatch time ( 1 or 2 or 3 or 4) set for output type in NACE t.code
    Option:3--> In NACE t.code for output type, check CannotBeChanged check box selected or not in default tab.

  • I cannot print, I get the message "The printer is busy".

    Suddenly I am having trouble printing. I have an HP Photosmart printer hanging off my router, and out of the blue the printer was offline. I've this trouble in Windows but never on the Mac. I deleted the printer, and added it. When adding the new printer instance, the system could not communicate with the printer to verify it's presence on the network. I opened the printer utility, and the printer was present, and could print a test page. However, ever time I try to print from an application, the job just sits in the queue, and the message The Printer is busy displays in the print window.

    You get this when doing what?
    Try reinstalling or updating your printer driver.

    I haven't been able to try this fix, but someone emailed me the below fix:
    I had same problem.Elements13 would not open my new default printer, but worked ok on four other versions of Elements. No help from Adobe, after three days of searching & phoning adobe , I found out by:- Going into Elements 13, Press Edit button, down to "Preferences and across to general. Press the "Reset Preferences on next launch". I then suggest you go through each section to make sure that your chosen preference are still ticked/checked in.
    It worked for me. Hope same for you.
    I'm planning on trying this fix soon.  Let me know how it goes for you if you get to try it before me.  Will do the same.  Thanks,

    hi, I'm a newbie wrt to mac printer operation.
    1.I installed a mg3220 using the wps button on my smc barricade router and can print wireless with a windows 7 printer.
    2. my wife has a mac. The printer is on and connected direcly with the usb cable.
    she gets the error message " the printer is not connected".
    how can we override this error message and print via USB?

    Hi, I have 10.6.8 and an HP printer so it may be slightly different but I'll give it my best shot:
    Go to System Preferences.
    Click on "Print & Fax"
    Near the top of that page you should see "Print" and "Scan" options. Click "Scan"
    A button appears that says "open scanner"
    The settings are different between the different scanner models so I'm not sure what the next window will look like, but it should be pretty straightforward from there. It will scan to a JPEG image which you can attach to an email. I hope that helps! Let me know if there's anything ense I can help with.

    I understand you are still running into problems. The HP Print and Scan Doctor was designed for Windows based computers, that is why you are getting the error message. Have you tried refreshing your network? Please restart your router, printer and iPad in that order and restart in the same order they were shut off.
    When you are on the troubleshooting page which option are you selecting? I suggest following the troubleshooting steps under the Airprint option.
    Follow these steps to check the network connection for your mobile device.
    On your Apple device, tap the Settings icon.
    Tap Wi-Fi.
    Make sure that the selection box next to Wi-Fi is set to On, and that there is a checkmark next to your wireless network name.
    Tap the blue arrow next to your wireless network. Make sure that the first three sets of numbers of the IP address of your HP product (found on the report you printed earlier) and the Apple device match. For example, if the HP product IP is 192.168.1.xx, then the Apple device IP should be 192.168.1.xx. The last set of numbers, indicated by xx in the example, should not match.
    Move your Apple device as close to the router as possible, but no closer than 6 ft (1.8 m).
    Try to print.

  • Print Jobs not clearing "Deleting - Printed" message from Print Queue

    The jobs print fine but the message Deleting - Printed doesn't clear from the print queue.
    The two printers having the issue are HP Color LaserJet 3550s using the External HP JetDirect en3700 (J7942A-61033). 
    Our Print Server is an HP BL25P running MS Server 2003 Enterprise Edition / SP2.  This issue started about two weeks ago only on these printers.  I downloaded the newest drive (dated 2007 version 61.63.461.41). 
    I have deleted and recreated the printers on the Print server and installed the new driver.  Still having the same issue.  To clear the Print Queue we have to restart the Print Spooler Service on the Print Server.- this causes the "Deleting - Printed" jobs to print again which could be days / weeks after they were originally printed.
    We don't want to keep having to restart the Print Spooler.
    Any one having a similar issue and know off a fix.   I have tried everything I have so far found on the Web.

    I see you are experiencing print speed issues.  I would like to help!
    I would suggest deleting the printer from your print system, using this document: Uninstalling the Printer Software.
    Once you have deleted it, I would suggest verifying and repairing the disk permissions: About Disk Utility's Repair Disk Permissions feature.
    I would also suggest running your Apple updates:  OS X: Updating OS X and Mac App Store apps
    After the updates, I would recommend reinstalling the

    Why not contact HP tech support for assistance since they make the printer. While on their site you can look for an updated printer driver. Otherwise, try deleting the current installed driver, reset the print system, then reinstall your printer's driver.
