Mg5420 won't print right from websites

Ever since I replaced the ink cartridges, the printed hasn't worked right. I've done all the test and they come back clean. I spoke to canon and they sent a new print head but I'm still having trouble. Now is manly seems to be on websites. I printed a word doc fine, but an eBay label was very light and almost like it was in a shadow font with only the outlines of the letters printed. When I tried to print a baseball ticket, first it was fuzzy for all
But the red logo, and after the third try only the logo appeared.

Google show that you have to cut what you want to print and then paste it into a new app and print from that app.

Please try the following steps,
Download every updates from Apple and HP
Reset or Delete the printer from your mac (it may work trhough USB)
Reset all settings into default settings on your printer
Turn off or unplug mac, printer, modem, router
Plug everything and reboot all
Reconnect the printer to home wifi network and mac also reconnect to the correct network

Won't let me print documents from website link

For this specific website, when I try to print a document it will automatically download it for me but it won't print. I will click on the download and it will open up on Word, but since it is coded it will not show properly. How can I get it to print directly from the print link on the website? I've tried resetting it and it still won't print.

[[Fix printing problems in Firefox]] may help, but if it also happens in other browsers you may want to ask the site developer.

Hi Anyone,
I am trying to get my images from a dreamweaver built website
to show in the browser as a pdf, so it can be printed out easiler
by people. Do I have to put a pdf file on to web server for each
image, to be able to get a pdf to show and print from website ? Its
just that I might have a 1000 or so images that I have to make, if
there is any advise as to what I am suppose to do, I would
appreciate it. I am a beginner 2 intermediate, the website is going
to be redesigned because its too heavy in flash as it is, now doing
in dreamweaver again ( back to basics ), the site is

Print PDFs from Website Without Header

Is there a way to print PDFs in safari from websites where it does not inclue the header and footer informaition with the website URL, time etc?

In Safari when you hint "Print" it opens up the print dialog. On the bottom you have the point "Print headers and footers." If you don't see the extended print options click on the arrow in the upper right corner.

Cannot print PDF from websites

We have about 50 PCs. We regulalry download documents from websites and print them out. But on one PC we are having problems. We can download the document and view it on screen. The problem PC does not have a local printer. Instead it is connected to two printers shared through the main server: a HP 4250 and a HP4014. We cannot print these downloaded PDFs to either printer. When we attempt to print the confirmation "bubble" does not appear about the tasktray, but he printer icon does appear. When I open the printer window it briefly dispalys a 1 for the number of print jobs. When I look at the list of jobs it says the job is spooling, then it deletes and disappears. If I view the queue from another PC it shows the job spooling and then disappearing. If I store the PDF locally it will print no problem. We have a couple of printers shared from PCs. I can print from the affected PC straight from websites to these printers no problem. Some of the documents we want to print do not have a save option. Instead we print to a virtual PDF printer, save locally, then open with Adobe Reader and it prints no problem. I have tried reinstalling the network printers, but doesn't fix the problem. We are running 10.1.4 on the affected PC. Any help would be much apprecited.

Some more information would be useful:
What application are you using to print, Preview, Adobe Reader, Acrobat, or something else?
What happens when you try to print? Can you not select it from the File menu? Does something go wrong with the Print dialog box? Is it something that happens afterwards?

Printer won't print anything from the internet

Had a hp officejet 4500 printer and now have a HP ENVY 4500 e-ALL-in-On series and neither one will print anything from the internet.
Any ideas on what to check ?????

B110 won't print directly from iPhone

I've posted on this before, but didn't get any help with the problem, so I'll try again.
Basically, one of my B110 printers will not print directly from any iPhone or iPad. All devices come up with 'no Airplay printers found' message.
Before anyone asks, yes, of course the printer is on the list of Airplay compatible printers, yes, it prints fine via eprint emails, and yes, I have followed the very limited (switch on and off type advice) from the Apple support site.
It is connected via the D-Link Powerline N type wireless devices.
Any help appreciated.

InDesign (CS 5.5) won't print fonts from a file that prints correctly in CS 3

Hello,
I installed CS 5.5 last night and installed all of the updates (on Windows XP with SP3). I have an Okidata B4300 laser printer with Postscript 3 emulation installed. Several typefaces (both True Type and Open Type, 4 fonts tested so far) are not printing from InDesign CS 5.5, but when I open the same file in CS 3, it prints correctly. All of the fonts are installed in the Windows font folder and have worked for years. No printing errors in Photoshop CS 5.5 or in Word.
I've been going through the "troubleshoot printing/PDF export problems in InDesign" guide, focusing on the application level. Here's what I've done so far:
1. Restarted the program, printer, system
2. Did a disk cleanup, defragmented the system, and ran an error check
3. Recreated the InDesign preference files
4. Downloaded the Adobe Universal Postscript Windows Driver
Each time I try to print my test file, I encounter the same error--
Error: undefined
Offending command: @FS
Stack:

And then, in parentheses, it prints the text that should have printed.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

Just to double-check: you meant delete the Adobe Universal PS Driver and reinstall the Okidata PS driver, right?
I wasn't complaining about the situation; if there was anything in the tone of my message that pricked, I'm sorry. I know Adobe doesn't purposefully cause problems or make its software unnecessarily picky. That would be bad business. And I only asked about the possibility of a glitch because I was working with my back turned away from this CPU as it did the installation, so if there had been a momentary warning, I would likely have missed it. Glitches happen, even to the best software.
I was asking questions hoping for another test that might provide a definitive answer. I know that doesn't always happen when troubleshooting, but it's a lovely goal, especially with the looming specter of hardware replacement.
The Oki printer has been a workhorse under heavy use, so I wouldn't replace it unless it was really necessary. In fact, if the reinstallation of the Oki driver doesn't fix the problem, then I'll probably test all of the typefaces to see which ones work straight up and which require the PDF workaround. I might live with the problem for a while.
Is there any info on the Adobe site about which printers implement PS correctly?

Web documents seem to print double from websites.

When I get a web receipt or a web map, my print is doubled from most all websites. I suspect it comes from some Firefox. How do I cure this problem?

Is the type size double what you expect it to be?
Or is it printing two of everything on the web page?
Can you give us a screenshot of what appears in the Print Preview window, it that happens there too?

C410a won't print black from Office

I've had this issue for a couple of days and replaced black ink (which didn't show was low anyway) but cannot print from any Office or Adobe. I can print photos just fine. Emails I need to print I just change the font to a dark blue and it prints fine, but I cannot change font color on my work documents. I've tried all the self help tips that people have posted but nothing. Help!

To better understand if this is a software or an hardware issue, print a self test report as following:
Press Menu or Setup.
Press the Right Arrow until Print Report displays and then press Enter.
Press the Right Arrow until Self-Test Report displays and then press Enter.
If your product does not have a Right Arrow, press Menu repeatedly until Self-Test Report displays and then press Enter, Select/Resume, or OK.
Can you see both Black, Cyan, Magenta and Yellow, as well as clear information text such as the Serial Number on the printed sheet?

Office jet pro 8600 plus won't print right no matter what

I use an iPad, and a windows 7, and an iPod touch. The printer stopped working even when I am trying to get it to give me a print page without an OS. It just stopped working right after being the best printer I have ever seen for over a year.

I saw your post about how your Officejet 8600 Plus stopped working, and I wanted to write to you with my suggestions to hopefully have it print out a test page or a copy afterwards.
Here are some things to try:
Reset the printer
Press the Power button to turn on the product.
With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.
Ensure the printer is plugged in directly to the wall outlet, avoiding power bars and surge protectors. This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help greatly.
Update the Firmware: Getting the Latest Firmware and Product Updates
Now try a copy and test print!

Please help. Inkjet HP C4480 won't print Bullets from MS Word X docs

Hello everyone,
I am obviously a noob here so please bear with me.
Back in April i purchased a New HP inkjet C4480 but i didn't pull it out of the box until yesterday.
Since then, i upgraded to Snow Leopard. I downloaded the proper drivers from the HP site as the ones that came with the printers were outdated (supported OS 10.5) and, obviously, my brand new imac recognizes the printer but it seems that MS Word X didn't like Snow Leopard too much:
*The printer will not print bullets or numbering*.
For example
If my document is such:
"+TEST DOCUMENT+
+a) one+
+b) two+
+c) three+
END"
only +TEST DOCUMENT+ will print and everything below remains unprinted (including END which is not indented/does not have bullets)
I tried erasing the old Times New Roman font (or at least I hope i did it properly) following the suggestion of someone from these boards but it didn't solve my problem. I still don't know how this "font replacement" thing works.
During the HP "tech-support"chat the guy was short with me when he realized that I was a mac user and told me that macs were not his expertise and that i needed to call.
I called and after 15b minutes the call dropped (btw, it is very interesting that HP automated answering system asks you right away if you are a mac user)
This is my last resort.

My problem is solved but in an unexpected way. I actually did not have to manually erase the duplicate fonts.
First of all, I created a new user account to see if the problem persisted and for some reason while using Office X with the new account the bullets/numbering worked properly.
Secondly, and most importantly, I found out that by resetting in safe mode (holding shift while resetting the imac) and then resetting back to normal mode fixes the font issue for you as it automatically puts duplicate fonts in the trash folder.
As I am not an expert, I do not recommend this method to graphic designers as I am scared that valuable fonts may be deleted from their macs.
