Microsoft Azure service

Hello,
We are created two VMs in windows azure cloud services and I am trying to ping between them. But it is not get communicate with each other.
VM1 – our application server.
VM2 – our Database server.
And both are configured in same DNS & location. Can please any one assist in this.

Different Azure cloud services cannot communicate to each other in this way, unless they are configured in the same virtual network and use the internal names or the external endpoint for ping is exposed to allow the server to ping through the *.cloudapp.net

If they are configured properly with the azure ports, check your windows firewall to make sure the servers themselves are allowing pings

Error : -2145124329 Installing Microsoft Azure Recovery Services Agent on SBS Standard 2011

When installing the Microsoft Azure Recovery Services Agent on Windows SBS 2011 Standard I receive error code - Error : -2145124329. When looking at the file OBManagedlog.LOGCurr.errlog located here: C:\Windows\Temp extract below it appears to be failing on
the Windows Powershell 3.0 prerequisite which is apart of the .NET 3 Framework. I have tried to install this manually but it does not appear to be compatible with SBS 2011 standard. Anyone have any ideas? MS Azure cannot help until we have a paid subscription,
I have only a trial at the moment as I wanted to test the product first but have been unable to do so as i can't install the agent.

I searched and it seems that Windows SBS 2011 is not in the support list. Only Windows Server 2012 Essentials (and later versions) are available.

Publish cloud service fails from Visual Studio 2013 Update 4: Published Asset Entry for Image Microsoft.Azure.Diagnostics_PaaSDiagnostics_europeall_manifest.xml not found.

I have a cloud service project with two roles (service and worker). In Visual Studio 2013 Update 4 when I choose "Publish..." from the "Solution Explorer", it opens "Microsoft Azure Activity Log" and quickly terminates.
Here the log:
9:43:47 AM - Applying Diagnostics extension.
9:44:09 AM - Published Asset Entry for Image Microsoft.Azure.Diagnostics_PaaSDiagnostics_europeall_manifest.xml not found.
All works fine when uploading the package and updating from https://manage.windowsazure.com/. It only fails from within Visual Studio.
What can I do to get it working?

move to the new diagnostics version.
Now, I get the same error message in Visual Studio:

With my small testing project - also two roles (service and worker) - everything is fine. However, I'm looking for a solution to make by existing production service working.
Also the test project shows no Microsoft.Azure.Diagnostics_PaaSDiagnostics_europeall_manifest.xml,
but this is no problem - so what's the meaning of or solution to this error messages?
What I found so far:
I deployed the Azure project from the same development environment to another Azure test service: Deployment
showed no errors and the service is running fine! So the problem is not with the source, the development environment, library dependencies etc.
Trying Azure cmdlets for PowerShell also work fine for the new service and fails for the production service with almost the same error message:

No Cloud Services when signing into Microsoft Azure Publish

When signing into Microsoft Azure Publish in Visual Studio 2013 (right click Cloud Project -> "Publish..."), none of my cloud services are appearing.
This has previously always been working for me.
Signing in using my Windows Live account (I am a "co-administrator"):
When opening the publish window, I get this popup asking me to create a new service!
Because as you can see, I now have no services:
I have no idea what has happened. Can anyone help?
I also tried signing in with the portal Administrator credentials - same problem!

I have tested the same in my lab environment and I am able to find the list of cloud services.
Suggest you to try the below
Sign Out of your subscription by going to Publish > Manage > Sign Out
Re open Visual Studio by choosing Run as an Administrator and Sign In with your subscription and check if you are now able to find all the cloud services in your subscription

Creation of Microsoft Azure Website failed. The application already exists

Trying to create a new website, I get this error:

Creation of Microsoft Azure Website failed. The application already exists. The remote server returned an unexpected response: (409) Conflict.
I succeeded to create this website earlier on and then I deleted it as I didn't need it anymore.
Now I want to create it again but I get this error even though I've deleted all websites, hosting plans, cloud service, etc from my Azure account.
Any idea on how to fix this?

At this point, I don't know how it happened, but we'll need to dig deeper. I believe there is a sequence that can cause problems if you create a site via Current portal and delete it via Preview, but I'm not sure.
BTW, it seems you have 2 other sites that may be in the same situation (deleted in a way that you couldn't recreated them). They're 'shortl...dev' and 't..d' (not giving full name to avoid squatters!). Do you think you'll want to recreate them later? If
so, we can do the same maneuver to get back to a good state.

I have an existing Azure service with two web roles (service and worker) published first in May 2012. Recently I tried to update from SDK2.2 to SDK2.5 and Visual Studio 2013 Update 2 to Update 4. The main reason behind this was to move from log4net to WAD
and in doing so, of course directly move to the new diagnostics version. So before publishing I enabled WAD diagnostics logging in the properties of both roles.
Trying to publish from Visual Studio to the exisiting Azure Service fails, VS output shows the following lines:

DNS alias and SSL certificates bound to the existing Azure service.
What's working 2: Publishing the solution to the existing Azure service WITHOUT diagnositics enabled works.

I found that the new service has properties which the old one is missing:

Is this a hint? Reinstalling or repairing Visual Studio is not the answer to this problem!!!
What's the meaning of "Published Asset Entry for Image Microsoft.Azure.Diagnostics_PaaSDiagnostics_europeall_manifest.xml"?
[Perhaps MS will publish a newer version of its Azure cmdlets, but that's not today's story]
So what are possible reasons or fixes for this behaviour? Going back to log4net is not my favorite. Even worse, while there are alternative logging solution,
I currently have no performance counter monitoring in the Azure portal (Remote desktop and perfmon is NO solution). Is there any alternative to going back to SDK2.4?

Azure services down in Western Europe (again)

Azure services are down again in Western Europe.
Already waiting for more than 2 hours.
Every 4 to 8 weeks a total disruption of a service occurs.
How the hell can this happen?
How can we contact Microsoft to complain?

Considering Azure Services

I'm about to launch a service that will be responsible for syncing data. I will have one front end web site that will have a WCF service exposed, and then one WCF service that runs internally that is responsible for handling other tasks the front end service
gives it. The internal WCF service will also run constantly to execute code at intervals to perform other operations; the WCF services need to be SSL enabled. I'm currently browsing the market to see which is my best option. What plans would you guys choose
out of Azure services to do this? I will have a small customer base using the web service (less then 50) for the first 6 months then grow from there. How does Azure compare feature wise and price wise to say, GoDaddy's VPS services with combined web hosting?

Microsoft Online Services Sign In assistant 7.0

Can anyone help me to download Microsoft Online Services Sign In assistant 7.0.
I could find only up to version 6.5.

When you google (or bing) for this product, it takes you to the RTW link or version 2.1.. To use AD services with O365 Powershell you get error you need version 7 or greater. (Yet another wasted hour bcause MS don't keep their stuff current and
hides links and you have to dig for it)

I would to check if it is possible to run Azure Active Directory Powershell (MSOnline) without installation of
Microsoft Online Services Sign-In Assistant
Azure Active Directory Module for Windows PowerShell (64-bit version)
I'm coming from the point of application deployment where the objective is to reduce additional installation to the server and to package the DLL, PSD1 (if required) of the Azure AD Module and run it like a portable app.
Did anyone manage to do that?
i found the modules installed in one of my testing machine C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\Modules\MSOnline and i tried to run the module in a new server without any installation of those mentioned above, it gives Type Initialization error. I
believe it is caused by lacking of Microsoft Online Service Sign-In Assistant.
Where are the dlls stored for MS Online Sign-In Assistant so that i can try to copy to the new server and test?

Some concept confused for Azure Service Bus EventHub

Currently, I’m trying to use the Azure Service Bus Event hub and I have some concepts a little bit confused:
I have create an event hub (our requirement is send 10Kb data per seconds to the event hub), the hub include 10 partitions, then we receive the data using the
EventHubReceiver, when I create the instance for the EventHubReceiver, it need the
PartitionId, so I want to know which partitionId is needed?
I guess all the Partitions have the same data which I sended, is it right?
Is the PartitionId equals PartitionKey? My understanding is the PartitionId is the indicator for the Partitions in the Event Hub, the PartitionKey is the indicator for the device which send the data, so one Partition can contains many partitonIds,
is it right?
When we receive data from hub, we need set the Consumer Group, so what is the relationship between EventHub and Consumer group?
When we use the EventProcessorHost to receive data, we do not to set the PartitionId, so the data we got is the all PartitionData?
When we call the PartitionContext.CheckpointAsync(), the Event hub will do the things to release the Events(delete, clear or sth) by itself, we needn’t do it in our code,
is it right?
Is there a diagram to show the relationship for concepts of the EventHub?
