Missing Component View on Integration Scenario

Hi All,
I'm having a problem when doing the XI 3.0 Demo Examples.
The CheckFlightSeatAvailability scenario in my system doesn't have ABAP_Proxy_2_Web_Service component view.
The Config Guide said that this demo variant is available as of XI SPS 12, while my XI SPS is 14, so I supposed there's no problem.
But when I checked the Software Component Version SAP BASIS 6.40 in the Integration Repository, the Available Support Packages field's value is 9.
My questions are :
1. Does it means that I'm still using SPS 9 for configuring the scenario ? If that so, how can I update it to SPS 14 ?
2. If that's not the problem, what should I do so that the ABAP_Proxy_2_Web_Service appear in the CheckFlightSeatAvailability scenario ?
Kindly need your advices in this matter.
Regards,
Andy

Hi Andy,
you are on patch9 for basis component.
In patch stack guide it is described how to upgrade this component.
Import the appropriate content for the SAP XI Support Package release from the archive SAPBASIS<SP>_<PL>.ZIP (XI Content SAP_BASIS 6.40). Proceed as follows:
1. Unpack the archive using a ZIP tool of your choice.
2. Copy the export file (with file extension tpz) into the import directory <INSTDIR>/ <SAPSID>/SYS/global/xi/repository_server/import.
3. Start the Integration Builder for the design time.
4. Import the XI content by choosing Tools &#8594; Import design objects...
For more information, see SAP Note 705541.
This is always an important step, since the component not only contains scenario's but also Adapter MetaData.
So if this level is not on 14 (and the rest is) you will not be able to make use of SP14 Adapter features or even run into all kind of errors.

Theo

  • Multiple component view in integration scenario

    Hi
I have <b>multiple component views</b> defined in my integration scenario.
When i try to configure these component view in Integration directory in integration scenarion configurator, if I select the component view i want to apply then the systems give a message " All configuration settings made in the current component view will be lost".
This means that if i have configured the first component view and then try to configure the second component view then setting of first view get lost.
i want to have all the configure all the component views in the integration scenario.
Please provide some pointers for the issue.
    Thanks in advance
    Regards,
    Amit Deshpande

    Amit,
When you have multiple component views in the Integration scenario, you would ideally want to create separate configuration scenarios for each component view.
So for eg. if you have four component views, 4 different configuration scenarios can be created using the integration scenario configurator. The only thing is that you would have to repeat the integration scenario configurator steps[Tools->Transfer Integration Scenario from Integration Repository] 4 times, once for each component view. If you notice, you can change the name of the configuration scenario each time you start afresh.
The message is a warning that if you go back during the integration scenario configuration process[the first step is the selection of the component view for which you want the configuration scenario] and change the component view then all the changes made thus far would be lost.
For e.g if you are in step 3[Assign Services, I think] and then go back and change the component view, all the changes made for the original component view selected would be lost.
    Hope this helps.

  • Integration Scenario - Component not visible

    Hi all,
I have two s/w components - say main component and sender component. Both belong to the same product version.
I have created an integration scenario in the main component and I want to create a swim lane corresponding to 'actions' that are already created in the sender component.
So, when I choose "Insert application component" in the scenario's swim lane area, and select the product version, it does NOT show the sender component !
Hence I am unable to include the actions of sender component in the integration scenario.
I have also checked from SLD that there are few more components (like the sender component) that are assigned to the same product version, but still not visible while creating a swim lane, as mentioned above.
I have tried the option of clearing SLD data cache, but it didn't help.
What can be done about this ?
    Regards,

    Hi,
did you make those software components dependet?
    just like in my weblog?:

  • Integration Scenario Configurator

    Hello!
I want to generate the receiver determination for an integration process on XI 3.0 SP10 with the Integration Scenario Configurator.
I have created an Integration Scenario in the Integration Repository, there are no errors when checking with F7.
If I open it in the Integration Directory and go to Integration Scenario Configurator -> Check Configurability I get the following error message:
"Component View /Role <my Integration Process>: Only connections with interfaces that belong to the integration process interface are permitted"
What does the error message mean? What do I need to change to eliminate this error message?
The connections point to interfaces I have defined in the same software component as the integration scenario and process. For the integration process I have created abstract interfaces.
    Regards, Tanja

    Hi Simon!
I was able to solve this problem some weeks ago but thanks for your hint anyway.
As you have mentioned the problem was that in the Integration Repository the integration scenario was not consistent with the used integration process as it  contained a wrong interface.
After I have corrected the integration process in the Integration Repository and updated the changes in the Integration Directory the generation with the Integration Scenario Configurator worked without any problems and the status of the process changed to 0 in SXI_CACHE.

  • Integration Processes within Integration Scenario

The process I need to model is as follows:
SRM XML PO => OAG XML PO => Embeded OAG XML PO in another message.
I have looked at trying to use an integration process to handle the first conversion and then a regular interface mapping for the 2nd. However despite creating the Integration process in the same software component as the Integration Scenario I get nothing in the drop down list when searching for the Integration process in the Application Component definition. Even if I try to create a new integration process from within the Application component I get an error saying that the SCV of the integration process and the SCV of the Application component are not the same
Does any one have any suggestions

    Hi Rajasekar,
           Hope u do fine.
Ur not mentioned any of ur requirement.
In BPM scenarios only we can create the INTEGRATION PROCESS.
In REPOISTERY--> we can design the INTEGRATION PROCESS.
In DIRECTORY--> Service can installed the Directory.

  • Integration Scenario Configuator and Business Services (B2B)

We use Business Services to define the services provided by our external business partners (e.g. a transport organization has defined some webservices to which we connect to).
The reason why we use Business Services is that we don't have to define them in the SLD. And we understand from the documentation that external business systems should be defined as Business Services and not Business Systems.
Now we want to use the Integration Scenario Configurator, but when we define a B2B service in the Integation Scenario, we cannot create the communication channels with the wizard. Futhermore the other object (receiver determination etc.) is also not created for the business service.
When we take a look at the definition of a B2B scenario in the SAP documentation, the documentation describes a complete different use of B2B. We understand from the documentation that B2B is a cross company XI landscape where all partners have there own XI system. This also explains the behavure in the configurator since one party cannot access its own business systems.
This leaves us with the following questions:
    1. Is B2B only possible for XI to XI scenario's?
    2. Is a service provided by a partner a business system?
    3. And do we have to include all communication end point in the SLD?
    Kind regards,
    Christiaan Schaake

    Dear Christiaan,
I encountered the same problem. What I did was that I created a party for the external business partner and assigned a business service to it. Beside this you have to check the box (ext. party w. B2B comm) under communication type in the application component in the integration scenario.
When you have done this you can create comm. channel with the wizard and also the other objects.
    see: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/e6/908d3f7057eb0ce10000000a114084/content.htm
Regarding your questions: depending on the way we think, we can come up with different answers. I don't think this is what you're looking for.
Maybe someone else can give you a clear answer.
    Kind Regards

  • Integration Scenarios vs Process Component Modelling

    Hi Experts,
    Just wanted to know:
    1) How theoritically and technically, is 7.0's Integration Scenarios different from 7.1's Process modelling?
    2) For what kind of cases we go for Integartion Scenarios and for what kind of cases we model a PCM?
    3) What is "Deployment Unit" in PCM?
    Thanks
    Shailesh

    Hi,
    >>>1) How theoritically and technically, is 7.0's Integration Scenarios different from 7.1's Process modelling?
Process Component modeling is ment for modeling SOA, where you create a Business Object, Service Interfaces, etc and this help to understand the business semantics of enterprise services in the business process platform. And you will not create Receiver Determination, Interfaces Determination out if that. Where as Integration Scenario is meant only for integration where you define Sender system, receiver system etc...
    >>>2) For what kind of cases we go for Integartion Scenarios and for what kind of cases we model a PCM?For normal integration between 2 or more systems you use Integration Scenario. But Process Component Model is for Service Provisioning.
    >>>3) What is "Deployment Unit" in PCM?
All the related/dependent Process Components are tied together in one unti and this is called Deployment unit. It also describes the logical boundary of the  Process Component. Apart from this deployment units are the only installable units and this shows what types of interactions are needed between process components.

  • XI Integration scenario for material replication from SRM to SRM-MDM

    Hi Guys,
We are working with the following landscape:
    SRM Server 5.5
    ECC 6.0
    SRM-MDM 5.5 SP6
    PI 2005_1_700 SP0006
I have a question for you about replication of the material master form SRM EBP to SRM-MDM.
In XI we are trying to configure this scenario. For this we have imported the following XI Content:
    - SAP SRM Server 5.5
    - SAP SRM-MDM 2.0
We have the following problem; that when tring to configure the this scenario we are getting GUID errors. Probable because some XI content is missing. In the SRM-MDM 2.0 XI content we also see that SRM 6.0 scenario's are avilable in the currenlty imported XI content, but when clicking on 'Edit action' in these scenario's we are getting the following error:
"Software component version with GUID XXXXXXXXXX... does not exists"
Can any one tell me why SRM 6.0 scenario's are availble in the XI content for SRM-MDM 2.0, and which additional XI content we need to import to get rid of these GUID error's?
Becasue of this the configuration in the Integration Directory fails.Transfering the integration scenario to the Integration directory  gives a couple of errors: "Unable to load action. Check whether all necessary actions have been released in the integration repository".
Hopefully some of you know what to do, because I am currenlty stuck....... Do we need to import additional XI content, or maybe the Xi content for SRM 6.0. If so where can I get the XI content for SRM 6.0. It is not available on the SAP Support portal as a download.
    Thx In advance.
    Regards,
    Wouter

    Hi,

  • Configuration Scenario for BPM Using Integration Scenario

    hi All,
I Have an Scenario where i am using BPM. Most of the blog tells about manually creating all Configuration objects. I had created an Integration Scenario for this scenario by referring to the earlier threads available for same.
Hoe to Create Integration Scenario for BPM Scenario
Integration Scenario in BPM  and few more.
    My IS looks like
Sender App Component - Integration Process - Receiver App Component
Now when i am trying to create Configuration scenario for same using model configurator, i am getting Model as "Not Configurable"
And when i click "Configurability Check" Button, i am getting below as status:
Component view IS_POC_BPM: Connection from receivePayload to getABSPayload does not have an inbound service interface
Component view IS_POC_BPM : Connection from sendABSPayload to getPayload has no outbound interface
getABSPayload and sendABSPayload are actions for Abstract interfaces.
IS_POC_BPM is the Integration Process Name.
Also in Integration Scenario, when i create connection between sender action to BPM action there is no inbound interface coming. And viceversa.
Please help me in identifying if i am doing any thing wrong in creating this scenario.
Is it possible to create Configuration Scenario for BPM Using Integration Scenario?
    Thanks,
    Mayank

I think you shoudl refer the available Integration Scenarios created for BPMs in IR --> SAP BASIS --> http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/Patterns
Sender template will have the Action with Outbound Service Interface and then in the BPM Template the action will have Inbound Interface.....then within the BPM itself this inbound will be mapped to Action with Abstract Interface
may be after looking the Integration scenarios you will get more idea

  • Problem with Integration Scenario involving BPM

    Hello All
I've created simple async Integration Scenario.
Sender is SOAP, then message is being processed by BPM Integration Process (some simple mapping inside - for now it is just proof of concept - later on it will split messages etc.) . Receiver is JDBC adapter.
Now, when I test Sender-> BPM (using Test Configuration tool ) - works fine, no errors.
BPM -> Receiver - as well.
But when I'm trying to test Sender -> Receiver it fails (so it does when I call Sender webservice from external tool).
    Error is:
    Receiver Agreement
    <Trace level="1" type="B">CL_XMS_PLSRV_OUTBINDING-ENTER_PLSRV</Trace>
    <Trace level="2" type="T">O U T B O U N D - B I N D I N G </Trace>
<Trace level="2" type="T"> Cache Content is up to date </Trace>
    <Trace level="2" type="T">determine OUTBOUND BINDING for: </Trace>
    <Trace level="2" type="T">-SENDER  </Trace>
    <Trace level="2" type="T">-RECEIVER </Trace>
    <Trace level="2" type="T">http://company.com/xi/sn.DataOut </Trace>
    <Trace level="1" type="T">error with outbound binding. </Trace> <Trace level="1" type="T">
No standard agreement found for , SENDER, RECEIVER, http://company.com/xi/sn, DataOutt </Trace>
    <Trace level="1" type="E">CL_XMS_PLSRV_OUTBINDING-ENTER_PLSRV</Trace>
In fact there is no Receiver Agreement for this pair of sender-receiver, but in scenario those are connected via BPM.
What am I missing in configuration to force PI to send messages correctly?
    TIA
    Regards
    Maciej

    Hi Maciej,
If you are trying to test it from the RWB -> Component Monitring-> Integration Engine-> Test Message option, then you should not be giving the receiver system and interface details.
Just specify the details of the sender system, interface name and namespace.
Give the user id and pwd details.
Give the Quality of service as "Exactly Once".
Paste the payload and click on SEND button. (DO NOT GIVE THE RECEIVER SYSTEM details).
    It will work.

  • Using of Integration Scenario in a Abap Proxy to JDBC receiver synchronous

    Hi ,
Can any one help me out  how to go about for creating Integraion scenario in ESR as i'm new to the use of Integration scenario..
its an Abap proxy to Jdbc synchronous scenario... kindly help in this regards.

    Hi Indudhar,
Right click on the namespace where you want to create the IS and say new, Select process integration scenario option, give a suitable name and say OK.
In the Component View section right click on the first grey column and Insert a sender Application component. Enter ur product and the software component version. Like wise in the next grey column enter the target Application component.
Now go to the top level menu and click on view and select grid.
Now right click on each App. component and insert the created actions. If the scenario is sync then the actions will be side by side otherwise the target one will be in the next grid of the target app. component.
After entering the actions click on the source action then press shift and click on the target action, right click and choose create connection between the two actions.
Fill in the info and then save.

    Anshul

  • Use of Integration Scenario & Actions??????

Can body tell me the use of Integration Scenario & actions in Integration repository?

    In simple terms...
Integration Scenario represents one view of your complete integration scenario.
It includes all the components like business system, interfaces, business process etc.
You can import the same Integration scenario designed in IR to ID and use it for configuration purpose. No need to define all objects separately. ALL under one roof.
    <b>1.</b> Integration Scenarios are definitely not just for documentation. With them, you avoid having to create the Configuration Objects manually (or even interface by interface, using wizard); you just run the scenario configurator, relate each application component to a business service/system/integration scenario, create/refer necessary Communication Channels and that's it;
    <b>.2.</b> Of course you can use business services in Integration Scenario Configurator, but only for B2B communications. Hence, your application component must be set with "external" flag (same for action);
    <b>3.</b> You don't "import" BPM from IS into ID. You just refer to the Integration Process as a service, meaning, the only information you have about IP in Integration Directory is its interfaces, inbound or outbound (output or input ones; actually they are all abstract);
Finally, for the actual question: an action reflects an execution within the integration scope, meaning, a system triggering an access to other system(s). In XI's scope, that execution means one interface, and that's exactly the information that goes into the action: the interface, its type (message interface, imported RFC/IDoc etc), whether it refers to an internal (reflecting an A2A scenario) or an external (reflecting a B2B scenario) system and whether it's an outgoing or incoming message (outbound or inbound, in the point of view of the application systems).
