Missing materials in 0CO_PC_ACT_02 Material Valuation: Per. Ending Inventor

Hi,
I've this doubt using this extractor.
Do you know why some material /Value Type combination are missing during this extraction?
I need to know the Total Stock amount. When I check the data that is been extracted I've seen that some materials lines are missing when comparing with MM60 transaction in ECC.
Example in ECC:
Material  Value Type  Amount
MAT1                            123
MAT1      C1                 125
MAT1      C2                 166
But in the extractor:
Material  Value Type  Amount
MAT1      C1                 125
MAT1      C2                 166
I only see this.
Please note that for other materials everything looks normal. Any suggestion?
Cheers
JS

To be clear,
It will  show the  PUP price of last month  for that material if the material movements are zero in this month. Hope you have some in  previous period.

Rajesh

  • Material valuation(standard price issue)

    Hi Gurus,
We have some issue in material master record accounting1 view. The standard price for the period 1 of 2010,period 2 of 2010 is showing the value of 1000 correctly.but where as coming to material valuation table(MBEW)it is showing as the value of "1".But where as coming to material ledger the standard price is showing as 1000 correctly.due to the inconsistency data between material valuation and material ledger the system is not allowing to post any transactions.Suggest on this issue.
    Thanks in advance
    Jana

    Hi Janardhan,
The Material Valuation Table MBEW will be updated, if  you have completed both Marked and Released activities for  the Material through t-code-CK40N for Mass Materials or CK11N and CK24 for Individual Materials. As per your data, in your case this was completed and price was updated for 01  and 02-2010 periods. If you run CK40N-Standard Cost Estimate for Legal/Group/Profit Center valuation and completed till  u201CMarking of Priceu201D i.e., but not executed the activity u201CRelease priceu201D.  It may be for period 03-2010, the Material Master>Accounting view will be updated with standard price and also Material Master>Future Price field will be updated with u201CMarked Priceu201D, but Current Price/Previous Standard Price  fields will show earlier values. Till you u201CRelease the Priceu201D through t-codes CK40N or CK24, this differences will continue. At the start of March 2010 period, if you u201CRelease the priceu201D, all the fields in Material Master will be updated with relevant Current/Previous Standard Price fields. I hope this will clear your doubts.  If you need more clarity in this regard, please let me know.

  • Material valuation data lock causing failure in PGI

    Greetings experts,
I am running into an issue where a material valuation lock is causing deliveries to fail goods issue when PGI is triggered from the shipment. These shipments contain many deliveries and are sometimes processed in mass (VT12). This is causing issues since the operator is not immediately aware an error occurred as the shipment completes normally and all attached deliveries not containing the affected material are posted. The lock appears to be originating from MIRO during AP invoice creation.  Late exclusive block (OMJI) has been activated and set to 30 seconds however this has not eliminated the issue. This supports the MIRO theory since any other posting conflict (other PGIs) should have completed and released the lock within the 30 seconds.
Has anyone ever run into this issue before or found a work around? Custom logic to create a lock record for every material on the delivery seems excessive but may be the only way to notify the users of VT02 and MIRO that the corresponding material valuation data is already locked.
    Thanks,
    Dom

    Hi Paresh,
Are you the person - who worked with for in Heineken? How do you do? No update from you..
We can not change the values in the material master because of that issue..
I have checked for the OSS notes.. but the issue had reassigned to FI team - they had raised it to SAP.
If we create new material, there won't be a problem at all..
Paresh - really we are all missing you..
    waiting for your reply Paresh..
    Thanks,

  • Material valuation with respect planned price 1 in material master

    Dear All,
The costing variant PPC1 has been used for released cost estimate. In my scenario I want to create one more variant say ZPC1 where to calculate the value of the material from the planned price 1. In this case
    1.     What should be the validity date mentioned in the material master for valuation
    2.     The variant has been configured as
    a.     Costing Type – 12 Mod Std cost Est
    i.     Price Update – No Update
ii.     Save Parameter – With Start of Period
    iii.     Misc – Cost Sheet
    b.     Valuation Variant – 001 Planned Valuation
    i.     Material Valuation - Planned Price
    ii.     Standard Price
    c.     Date control
    i.     From Date : Start of Current Posting Period
ii.     To Date : End of Current Posting Period
iii.     Qty Struc Date : Current Date
iv.     Val Date : Current Date
    d.     Qty Structure Control (As PPC1)
    3.     When I run the standard cost estimate with variant ZPC1 the system calculates the standard price of the material even when the price is mentioned in the planned price1.
How the variant should be created to capture the planned price for calculation when using the variant ZPC1.
Kindly help me in this regards
    Regards
    Vasantha

    HI,
The requirement is to execute the cost estimate quaterly for planned price 1.
So we are planning to create separate costing variant to pick the planned price 1 of RM.
Clinet has the Excel file with the details of RM and Price combination but the prices are not available in SAP.
We are looking for the Mass transaction to upload the prices in Planned price 1.
    Kindly help.

  • Default Raw material valuation type consideration for st. cost esti. of FG

    Dear SAP gurus,
For Raw materials we have split valuation (DOMESTIC, IMPORT).
During standard cost estimate of finished product, system is considering always DOMESTIC valuation for raw material component. why system is behaving like this.
But we need to consider the header price(Moving average header price updated in Material master). Where we can maintain the relevant configuration settings.
    Thanks and regards
    Venkat V

    Hi Venkat
I have never seen this.. It always takes the header price from the costing view....
Check in OMWC is you have specified DOMESTIC as the mandatory val type for external procurement

  • Write Down/Depreciation of Material Valuation Class

    Hi,
We are trying to write down/depreciate specific valuation types of materials which are purely for operational purposes ie not strictly project stock. Has anyone gone thru an exercise where they have performed such an exercise, for specific material valuation classes?
    Thanks

    Hi,
Its more a 'revaluation' exercise for specific material class' stock by adjusting original purchased values of their to current book value. They are not Assets as such (ie ones that come out of AuC and then are depreciated accordingly) but material that is classed for more operational purposes eg drilling. So trying to get thru an exercise whereby we can discover book value of specific material classes (ie not have to go through each material) and how we can achieve this 'adjustment' in SAP .
    Thanks

  • CK11N, not using PIR for material valuation.

    Hi,
I am trying to run CK11N, material valuation for purchased part using PIR strategy.
My valuation variant has the following strategy:
    1. standard price.
    2. price from purchase info record.
and I've also configured the sub-strategy for #2 above.
Then, I created PIR for the material.
but for some strange reason, the material cost estimate is not picking up the PIR to valuate the material.  Any idea what to check?!

    Hi,
As per my understanding PIR means planned independent requirement. Normally CK11N has to run for getting the in house manufactured material cost. The system will explode the BOM components of the material and it will copy costs in to the cost roll up. The system will pick up the price from material master accounting view.
CK11N is to identify the material cost, if you are procuring the material means you can very well aware of the material cost.
    Regards,
    V. Suresh

  • PC-WQS: User exit for material valuation

    Hello,
Currently we use data from the purchase info records to carry out material valuation of raw materials in the cost estimate. The client would like to get this data from the contracts instead of the info records since all purchase orders get information from the contracts. The second reason is that maintenance of the info record is very cumbersome and prone to errors when creating or updating the cost/ quantity.
My question is, has anyone used the user exit COPCP005 - User exit for material valuation (strategy U) in the valuation variant and has anyone gone after the contracts to get the purchase price?
If yes, I would like to know how you did it.
    Thanks,
    dinesh

Can you explain a little more where you encountered the problem?
    1. Is there a Val Strategy before the Val Strat U that is probably able to find a price for costing?
    2. Is the User Exit being triggered?
    3. Can you run CK11N in the debug mode (/h) and check if the User Exit is triggered?
    4. If all of these occur, the problem probably lies in the ABAP code... check for changes in the material number range or plant codes, or the plant-specific material status - the system does not valuate if the status does not permit it to.
If nothing works, come back with confirmation of the above and we'll go forward from there.
    Cheers.

  • Material Valuation for Finished Product in Production Scenario

    Dear SAP Gurus,
Kindly recommend appropriate Material Valuation Control for Finished Product in manufacturing scenario. SAP recommends pricing control 'S' (Standard), but my client's buying nature is not periodic(varies), they buy material on requirement basis (On actual material consumption ) which is very frequent. Pricing for each buy also changes due to the market conditions. You are requested to suggest me appropriate Material Valuation Control (either S / V) for Finished Product along with reasons, advantages & disadvantages for the same.
    Thanks,
    Shantanu

    Hi Alll
Well one disavantage in material with 2/V for production consumption is in case of incorrect goods receipt, incorrect price for example, all your consumption will be wrong.
For correction you would have to reverse all production posting, correct the goods receipt and repost the production confirmation.
If you were using 3/S configuration, all consumption would be done in standard price and at month end material ledger would calculate the actual price for price revaluation. People from MM would have time to correct the entries during the month.
    Regards.

  • Help on COPA material Valuation

    Dear All,
Our client has 3 manufacturing plants. 2 in Delhi, 1 in Pune
Plant in Pune manufactures few products and  on the other side receives manufactured products from Delhi plants and does some processing then despatch to customers. The processing charges incurred in Pune is not inventorised and is not cost relevant and no product costing is done for the these materials received from other plants in Pune plant.
Here there are two things, one - Few products for which Cost estimation is done and for few products for which cost estimation is not done and Price is updated with MR21 though the price indicator is "S".
From the COPA perspective, "Error if cost estimation is not found indicator" is checked while valuating the materials in COPA.
Client wants this indicator to be active, but how it is possible to deactivate this indicator for the products received from other plants to Pune as Cost estimation is not done.
Please help me on this, any possibility of restricting this error message by creating a new costing key and assigning these with respect to material, plant combination.
    Please your suggestions are welcome.
    Thanks & Regards

    Dear Ajay,
Further to the above message, my costing key configuration is like this:
"Period Indicator: current cost estimate acc to enty in the material master"
Can you let me know, if the COPA valuation is with the current cost estimate, then for the Material for which cost estimation has not happend or released, how do the billing and its release to accounting happen.
If COPA is implemented and material valuation is done through Access to the standard cost estimation, then is it like every month Cost estimation is to be released.
If this is the case, then how it helps me in the scenario discussed. As i m unable to release the billing to accounting. the error message is below:
Valuation with material cost estimate: error with product "X"
    Message no. KE350
    Diagnosis
In Profitability Analysis (CO-PA), the system tried to valuate a line item using the current standard cost estimate.
In order to determine the current plan period, the system needs to read the valuation segment of the material master.
The system has found that the current plan period is not filled for product "X" in plant "ABCD".
    Display material (View: Costing)
The system looked for the material cost estimate using costing key "Z01", as defined in the Customizing settings for CO-PA.
    System Response
    The document cannot be processed.
    Procedure
    Contact your system administrator.
Please let me know on this.

  • Material  valuation strategy U in valuation variant

    Dear All,
We r trying to use the material valuation strategy U in the valuation variant.
We have also activated the project with the user exit
COPCP005 : User exit for material valuation (strategy U)
    Component :EXIT_SAPLCK21_002
    INCLUDE ZXCKAU08
However we r not able to get the desired result.
    Could you please guide.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Anand

    Hi Ram
During first costing run planned prices entered thru MR 21 will be updated as standard prices.  Which means planned prices = std prices.
If you wish to change the prices 6 months down the line = u need to MR 21 upload again and over the earlier planned price.  Then u do costing run again. with this costing run, if there is diff in standard prices, system posts revaluation entry.
    For Raw materials
Create a simple query which gives u moving avg price, current std price.  Analyze the variances and consider revised prices as planned prices for the next 6 months.  Next, do costing run and system revaluates the inventory values for raw materials.
If the situation is that prices of raw materials are highly volatile, do costing run level by level as earlier suggested.
But give a word of caution to client on how dynamically variances get recorded and revaluation entries get posted.  Also tell them how it impacts not only raw material valuations but also finished and semi finished stock valuations.
Pls assign points if the above clarifies your requirement.

  • Assigning Material Group per User

    Hi SAP Experts! =)
Pls Help! does anybody have an idea how can I assign a Material Group per User. This is for authorization purposes. What I just know, is to Assign just one Material Group per user through Parameter ID MKL. This will only solve my problem if a User will only have access for a Single Material Group.
Do you know a way how to Assign access for Multiple Material Groups? I would want to use this for the PR/PO process, so a User will only purchase Materials under his/her assigned Material Groups. =)
    Mik

    HI,
Usually we give a star symbol for the authorisation object of material groups means the user is authorised for all the material groups.
In case if you want to give multiple material groups for the user then we have to specify the material groups instaed of the star symbol.
You can check the users authorisaion against the user ID in tcode SUIM.(Users with complex selection)
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Goods receipt reversal - material valuation

Friends can any one explain the goods receipt reversal scenario
and how it will affect the material valuation.
I am going through SAP HELP but i did not understood, the concept behind it and how it affect the material valuation once  the goods receipt is entered and
after cancelling the good receipt in case of "moving price" and the material valuation carried out.
    Please help me
and also i want to know transaction for goods reciept reversal .....
Edited by: VENKATESH MADANAGOPAL on Dec 15, 2008 7:29 AM

    Dear Venkatesh,
Most goods movements in Inventory Management lead to changes in stock quantity and therefore in stock value: In the case of goods receipts, the stock value increases and in the case of goods issues, the stock value is reduced.
For materials valuated at a moving average price, the material price can also change in the case of goods receipts for purchase orders. This is the case if the purchase order price differs from the material price.
Planned Delivery Costs for a purchase order are also included in valuation when goods are received. When the goods receipt is posted, provisions are created for planned delivery costs; thus the material is immediately valuated at the expected price. A subsequent debit/credit when the invoice is received is only necessary if there are variances between the stipulations of the order and the invoice.
It is also possible to post the net value of goods received. In this way, cash discounts that have been agreed upon are taken into account in valuation at this point. This means that when a goods receipt is posted for a material with moving average price control, the value of the order minus the cash discount is debited.
Material price changes can also occur during the following transactions in Inventory Management:

  • Report on changes in material valuation prices

    Hi MM Gurus,
I need I report which shows me the changes which occured (for example the last year) in the standard and moving average prices of materials ( of purchasing materiales as well as materials produced on site)
Is there a standard report or do I have to program it using some tables which hold this information.
We do not use material ledger.
    Thanks for any answer
    Aart

You have to create the report with the help of ABAPer, from the table MBEWH - Material valuation history.
